Star Wars fan and aspiring writer whose enjoyment of the excellent content here (there are so many incredible writers creating SW content on this site, the quality is really unbelievably good), coupled with a rush of impulsive creativity, have led to my own efforts at interjecting some ideas into that long ago and and faraway galaxy.

I'm quite obsessively compulsive as a writer; I'm one of those people who'll write something, think it's great, read it back when it's done and then start all over again, so it takes quite an effort on my part to finish something and then be happy with it.

Feedback of any kind, be it good, bad or indifferent, is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE (04/12/2017)

For anyone who is following the AU's I have been writing, apologies for my going MIA. I didn't intend to be absent for so long but collided with a creative wall when I sat down to the write the first chapter of Back to the Start and, after hours and hours and hours of staring at a blank page without having a clue of what to do, I decided to take a break without being sure of whether I would return to my works-in-progress.

But, having received some very kind messages of encouragement, I am now back writing. It is very humbling to know that people have read and are following my stories and I am very grateful to anyone who has taken the time to read something that I have written, posted a review and/or sent me a PM. It really does mean more than I can express.

So this will be the last update before I begin posting updates again.

I've settled on separating my works-in-progress into two separate AU series - one will be the 'Renewal' series and the other will be the 'Lost Hope' series (not very imaginative titles but I couldn't come up with anything better).

The 'Renewal' series will be an extension of the in-progress AU, Back to the Start, which I will be continuing very soon. That will be the main story in the series and everything else will branch off from it; at the moment I'm planning on writing a 'missing moments' series that will consist of shorter chapters about some of the minor events referenced in the main story but not necessarily important enough to be included. I'm also planning another short series that will delve into the the differing perspectives of the supporting characters as they watch the relationship between Han and Leia unfold in Back to the Start, which is shaping up to be a long story.

The 'Lost Hope' series is something that has been eating away at me for a long time and I've reached a point where I have to begin writing it or else it will continue to be a nagging distraction. I don't have a title for the main story yet and don't want to go into too much detail about it until I have the first chapter written. The premise is basically an AU that will explore what might have happened had the end of Revenge of the Sith been very different to what we saw on-screen, specifically how different choices and actions taken by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala on Mustafar might have affected the wider galaxy in the decades that followed and, consequently, the shared fate of Han Solo and Leia Skywalker. This will be another long story.

So once the first chapter of Back to the Start is finally completed, edited and posted, I will be concentrating on the first chapter of the untitled main story in the 'Lost Hope' series. And then I will, hopefully, be able to regularly update both stories and eventually begin the two shorter supplementary stories in the 'Renewal' series.
