Hiya! I'm Ambyssin, or Amby for short. Just your low-key, hobbyist fanfic writer. I mosey around the site, reading some stuff. I've also finally gotten around to posting a story of my own. If you've given it a read, I hope you're finding it entertaining. I mostly gravitate toward Pokémon, as that's the series nearest and dearest to my heart, but there are other things I like too.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Guiding Light
Shane is ecstatic to wake up and find he's become a Vulpix, even if he doesn't understand why he's got white fur. With all of his memories intact, he thinks he's pretty hot stuff. But all it takes is a mysterious force turning the Pokémon around him into vicious monsters for him to realize just how far in over his head he is. Can he put aside his ego, and his preconceived notions about being an explorer, to work with his partners and take down the dark powers threatening to rip the fabric of reality apart?

This is a pet project of mine that I'd started outlining in December of 2016, first posted elsewhere on August 2nd, 2017, and uploaded here starting in October of 2017. Essentially, it's a Gen VII-centric story, that looks to apply some of the big concepts (Z-Moves, Alolan forms, Totem Pokémon, and all things Ultra Space) to the world of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far, especially since it sadly looks like we won't be getting a Gen VII installment of PMD.

For those who are intimidated by this story's length, it is episodic in nature. Think of an episode like an anime arc or, better yet, a story chapter in the PMD games. The episode listing is as follows:

UPDATE 8/9/2019: Guiding Light is nearly finished being published! The current episode is the final episode and I hope to have the story done in the fall. Even thought it is nearly done, I would still greatly appreciate any comments/reviews on any parts of the fic. It's the only way I can actually get a solid idea of what you really think of the fic.

For anyone interested in reading, I suggest pacing yourself and using the episodes as potential starting/stopping points, especially if you're thinking of leaving reviews. Although the fic is long, I'm still interested in hearing what people think about the story. Of course, if you're super-motivated and want to binge the whole fic, go right ahead. Everyone's schedules and levels of free time are different, after all. If you do give it a read, let me know what you think. Any feedback's more than welcome and I try to reply to all reviews I get, even from guest accounts.
