Chapter 41
The Hero Has Returned
Two years have passed since Joshua and Izuku left U.A to protect One For All. Society has changed a lot during their disappearance. All Might has stepped up and has been defeating villains left and right. The world has been safer than it ever has been before. Even though All Might has regained his strength, Izuku and Joshua have also been very helpful in the fight for justice. They have been all over the world, taking down villains weak or strong and making the world safer. Now, an old school car speeds down a busy street in Musutafu.
"We gotta get out of here fast. All Might will be here in seconds," said a criminal.
"Why didn't we just rob the bank at night? He barely comes out when it's dark," said the other criminal.
"Don't question me. Just keep on driving," said a criminal.
As the criminals continue to speed down the street, the leader looks at the rearview mirror. He sees a big black car outlined with green chasing behind them.
"Umm. We're being followed," said a criminal.
"Is it All Might?" asked the other criminal.
"No, but it seems to be someone else. He has this big fast car," said a criminal.
"How many people are in that car?" asked the other criminal.
"I don't know, but he seems like he's a hero," said a criminal.
"We just have to shake them," said the other criminal.
The other criminal hits the gas and starts to speed even more. He turns onto the next street and then the next and then the next. The leader looks out the window and sees that the large car behind them disappeared.
"I think that we lost them," said the leader.
"I don't think that we have. Look," said the other criminal.
The leader looks in the mirror and sees the large car still pursuing them. Instead of just pursuing them, the driver clicks a button and two tubes come out from under the vehicle. Two bullets fired out of the tubes and hit the back wheels of the vehicle. The criminals' vehicle starts to swerve.
"What the hell was that?" asked the leader.
"Must have been a couple bullets. They took out our tires," said the other criminal.
"They are heroes. Hoshu, take them out," said the leader.
"Yes, sir," said Hoshu.
Hoshu opens the back door and starts to shoot his AK47 at the large car. The bullets hit the window but just bounce right off.
"Boss, they have bulletproof windows. I can't hit them," said Hoshu.
"Damn. This will be more difficult than I thought," said the leader.
The gunner tries to shoot other parts of the car, but they also bounce right off. Tired of these weak attacks, the driver presses another button. A mini turret pops out of the top of the vehicle. The turret shoots out one electrical charge and it hits the gunner, electrocuting him. The gunner falls out of the vehicle and starts to tumble down the road.
"Hoshu!" exclaimed the leader.
"We have to go and get him," said the driver.
"No," said the leader.
"No? What is that supposed to mean?" asked the driver.
"If we go back to get him, we'll be captured. We've planned this for too long to get caught by some c-tier heroes," said the leader.
"Will we break him out of prison?" asked the driver.
"Maybe. Now, continue driving," said the leader.
Inside the large car, the euro turns to look at his partner.
"Get that gunner, Izuku. We can't have him running off," said the hero.
"Ok. Full Cowling: Ten Percent," said Izuku.
Izuku activates ten percent of Full Cowling. His partner opens the passenger's door and Izuku quickly jumps out of the vehicle and darts towards the criminal. Izuku's partner quickly closes the door and speeds up. The hero ends up speeding up so much that he easily gets around the criminals.
"How did he catch up? That car must be fast," said the other criminal.
"You can't focus on his fancy car. Just get us out of here," said the leader.
"On it," said the driver.
The driver tries to turn around, but a grappling hook shoots out from the bottom of the vehicle and grabs onto the other vehicle.
"We're stuck, boss," said the driver.
"Stay here. I'll try to rip off the grappling hook," said the leader.
The leader opens the car door and safely maneuvers himself to the front of the vehicle. He tries to take the grappling hook off, but it won't budge.
"I wish that I could just stay in the car, but I guess I need a little action," said the hero.
The top of the vehicle opens and the hero hops out and jumps onto the criminals' car. He grabs the leader's head and headbutts him, knocking him out. He then uses his foot to smash the window and enters the vehicle.
"Cool car. I like the oldies," said the hero.
The driver tries to grab a pistol, but the hero easily grabs his wrist and breaks it. He then punches the driver and knocks him out. The hero takes a remote out of his utility belt and clicks a button on it. His vehicle stops moving and the criminal's vehicle stops moving as well. He taps the side of his helmet.
"Izuku, did you get the other guy?" asked the hero.
"Yeah. I already called the police. They will be at your location in seconds," said Izuku.
"Izuku, this city hasn't changed even though we've been gone for two years. Do you think that we can go back to U.A?" said Joshua.
"Well, we were vigilantes for two years. They'll probably arrest us before they allow us to go back," said Izuku.
"You're probably right," said Joshua.
"New crime at Isogashi Avenue and Torafikku Street! Two heroes are already on sight! The villain is Muscular!" exclaimed STEPH.
"Muscular is back in town. I can deal with him. Izuku, make sure that these criminals get put in the back of police vehicles," said Joshua.
"Joshua, don't worry about me. Just go," said Izuku.
Joshua hops off the criminal's car and enters his car. He clicks a button to detach the grappling hook and speeds off. He drives at top speed for a few seconds until he sees Muscular suffocating the young hero with his muscles. Joshua sees a ramp and jumps it. Joshua hops out of the car as it flies into the buff villain. Joshua grabs the young hero and grapples to a rooftop.
"Shindo, are you alright?" asked Joshua.
"Shadowstriker? I thought that you quit being a vigilante," said Shindo.
"I just needed to take some time off. That's all," said Joshua.
"You came in the nick of time. I would've been dead if you didn't come to help," said Shindo.
"Don't worry about it. Just stay here. I'll deal with Muscular," said Joshua.
Joshua safely places the young hero on the rooftop and jumps down to the street. Muscular grabs the giant car and throws it at Joshua. Joshua easily jumps over the vehicle.
"Nice car! Maybe you will be a better opponent than the rest of these small fries!" exclaimed Muscular.
"Don't get too excited. This will be over quickly," said Joshua.
Joshua grabs multiple explosives out of his utility belt and throws them at the villain. It hits him and explodes, but it doesn't do too much damage.
"I thought that this battle would end quickly! Is that your best attack!" exclaimed Muscular.
"No. This is," said Joshua.
Joshua grabs a remote out of his utility belt and clicks a button. The turret on his car pops up and aims at Muscular. Instead of shooting electrical charges, it shoots out explosives. The explosives hit Muscular and blow his expanding muscles up.
"Ooh! That stung! Now, this is getting interesting!" exclaimed Muscular.
Muscular charges at Joshua and tries to punch him, but Joshua easily dodges the massive punch. Muscular expands his muscles once again, but Joshua easily dodges once again.
"Are you just going to dodge! I thought that you would be a challenge!" exclaimed Muscular.
"This isn't a fight. A rematch with you is pointless," said Joshua.
"Rematch? I don't remember us fighting before!" said Muscular.
"You're too dumb to understand what I'm saying," said Joshua.
"I thought that this fight would be a fight of power, but it's just you dodging and calling me stupid!" exclaimed Muscular.
"I came to take you down. You've hurt too many people in your rampages. You need to be put in jail," said Joshua.
"Why do you believe that you can stop me! The only thing that you can do is dodge!" exclaimed Muscular.
"I can do this. Full Cowling: 100 percent," said Joshua.
Green lightning appears around Joshua's suit. Red vein-like lines appear on Joshua's suit.
"This power seems familiar. Are you that kid that I fought in the forest?" said Muscular.
Joshua responds by speed-blitzing the muscular villain and punches him in the stomach. The expanding muscles explode and the villain passes out. Joshua pulls out Aizawa's scarf from his utility belt and ties up the villain. He drags him to his car and places him in the backseat. He hops into his vehicle and speeds off in the direction of the police station.
"Did you get him?" asked Izuku.
"Yeah. He was more durable than last time. I'm transporting him to the police department right now," said Joshua.
"Now that we're back in town, shouldn't we tell All Might or Endeavor that we arrived?" asked Izuku.
"No. We left to protect One For All. The only reason that we're here is that All For One is somewhere in this city. It's our responsibility to take him down. We don't need any help," said Joshua.
"What if we do need help in the future?" asked Izuku.
"We'll get it, but for now, we can work on our own," said Joshua.
"I'm gonna go visit my mom. She needs to see her son in person," said Izuku.
"Why are you telling me this? I'm not your daddy or anything," said Joshua.
"Ok. What are you going to do?' said Izuku.
"See Eri. She has been begging to see me for a long time now. I can't disappoint her," said Joshua.
"I guess we'll meet up later," said Izuku.
"We can meet at this new cafe close to U.A. It has good reviews on Yelp," said Joshua.
"Sure, but you're paying," said Izuku.
"I always pay," said Joshua.
"Aren't you the rich one here? Why are you complaining?" asked Izuku.
"Shut up, nerd," said Joshua.
Joshua turns off his communicator and speeds off down the street. He reaches the police station in a couple minutes. He drops Muscular off and speeds off. He continues to speed through the streets until something lands in front of him. He immediately applies the brakes before he hits this person. He hops out of his car and lands on top of it.
"All Might, what do you want?" asked Joshua.
"When were you going to tell me that you were back in town?" asked All Might.
"I didn't know that you were my father," said Joshua.
"I'm just concerned about you and young Midoriya. We should talk over dinner sometime," said All Might.
"Tempting offer, but I have important things to do. All For One is still doing things," said Joshua.
"All For One is my responsibility. I failed to defeat him eight years ago. After regaining the power that I had in prime, I can beat him," said All Might.
"Three years ago, you said that it was our responsibility as your successors to defeat All For One and protect One For All. We've been all around the world, saving people and defeating villains. We don't need your help," said Joshua.
"You don't have to do everything by yourselves. Let us help you," said All Might.
"We'll be fine. See you later, All Might," said Joshua.
"I can't let you leave. You are breaking the law at the end of the day," said All Might.
"Well, I didn't want to do this All Might, but you leave me no choice. STEPH, hit him with an EMP shot," said Joshua.
"Yes, sir," said Steph.
"EMP shot? What is that?" asked All Might.
"Just watch," said Joshua.
A tube appears on top of the car. A bomb flies out of the tube and explodes in the air. The bomb releases an electromagnetic pulse and the electricity in the area goes out. All Might reverts to his skinny form.
"What was that?" asked All Might.
"An electromagnetic pulse can disrupt the activity of any technology in the area. You can only still play hero with the help of David Shield's device. If I just turn that device off, you become skinny fodder. A disgrace to your former self," said Joshua.
"You don't have to go on this crusade by yourself. We're here to help," said All Might.
"We don't need any help, Toshinori. Just leave us alone," said Joshua.
Joshua hops back into his vehicle and drives around the weakened All Might.
"Why have you changed, Joshua?" asked All Might.
