Starting in a new Life

The next morning everybody was leaving Ajan Kloss. There was no need for a Resistance anymore, since the galaxy was free now.
Nomi sat relaxed in the copilot's seat while her husband launched the Outrider. Their sons being onboard the Aquarius were on their way already. The commander had given them the freighter, knowing that the ship would be in good hands.
Dash cast a glance at his wife, before he concentrated on the readouts again, waiting for them to show that they reached the jump point.
"You look happy, my love," he said, as he entered the coordinates for their next destination in the nav computer.
"I am happy, Dash," she responded and begun to hum a popular song. Yes, she had any reason to be happy. The Emperor was finally gone forever and the whole family has survived the Battle of Exegol.
"Where will we go now, darling?" The Jedi Master asked, while she made herself more comfortable in the seat.
Her husband answered her with a smile.
"There is someone waiting for our return on a certain swamp planet."
Nomi chuckled.
"Leebo. So we'll go to Dagobah. I'm pretty sure he thinks that we've forgotten about him."
The former mercenary laughed, as he reached the jump point and pushed the lever. In the fraction of a second the stars resolved in the streaks and whirls of hyperspace.

After a long travel in hyperspace, where they were speaking about their new life lying ahead of them, there was finally the signal indicating that they had reached their destination. Dash Rendar pulled the lever and the Outrider fell back in real space.
"Here we are…Dagobah. Home sweet home," he said with a wide grin.
His wife came in the cockpit, sat down in the copilot's seat and strapped in.
"It's the last time we will be here, darling. Leebo will be happy," she said, as she looked out of the viewport.
Dash steered the freighter toward the planet and it didn't take long until the Outrider entered the atmosphere. When they were landing at the clearing nearby their hut, there was no Leebo to be seen. The whole site looked abandoned. Dash cut the engines, rose out of his seat and walked over to the hatch. He pushed the button and it opened with a hiss, while at the same time the ramp lowered.
"I hope we won't have a bad surprise," he said, turning his head to his wife, who followed him.
Nomi put her hand on his shoulder.
"We will see, Dash," the former commander said. Then she passed her husband and walked down the ramp. When she reached the bottom of the ramp there was a clanking to be heard and the screeching of joints which haven't seen any lubricant in years.
"What took you this long, Dash?" There was clearly a hint of aggravation in the droid's voice.
"We were kinda busy, Leebo," Dash responded with a smile. "But now we are here and I promise you that you will get the best lubricant, when we're on Coruscant."
Nomi suppressed a grin when the droid managed to look like as if he would have any doubts about Dash's claim. She entered the hut the Rendar family had called home since they had left Coruscant. Looking around, the Jedi Master saw that everything was in good shape. Leebo did a good job, even without them being around. The droid deserved indeed an oil bath in the best lubricant available.
Dash has followed her and wrapped his arms around his wife.
"Time to say goodbye and to start in a new life, darling," he whispered in Nomi's ear.
"Yes, we should pack what we want to take with us," the former commander responded, as she slipped out of his embrace and walked over to the locker. She opened it and begun to sort through the items stored there.
At the end there were several crates packed and Leebo helped to carry them over and to stow in the Outrider's cargo hold.
Nomi and Dash looked for a last time at the hut where they have lived in. Thinking about how their children played in the swamp guarded by Leebo and how Tasherit every now and then brought a creature she found home. But now there wasn't any need to stay in exile any longer.
Now they were able to live on Coruscant again.
Hand in hand they walked up the boarding ramp followed by Dash's faithful droid, who was glad to leave Dagobah as well.
After they settled down in the cockpit, Dash entered the coordinates for Coruscant, the old capital planet of the Republic before Palpatine declared the First Galactic Empire and renamed the planet in Imperial Center. Shortly after the Outrider ascended in Dagobah's cloudy sky, headed from there toward the jump point and made the jump to hyperspace.

It was another long travel until they finally reached their destination. When the Outrider fell back in real space they saw the planet in front of them, which was glistening like a Corusca gem, which was the planet's namesake. It didn't take long and they got permission to enter the atmosphere of the planet.
Dash navigated the freighter expertly through the thick traffic, until they reached the Rendar building. The building which was been confiscated by the Empire back then. The former mercenary steered the Outrider toward the landing platform and landed smoothly. Minutes later he and his wife entered the building. Nomi was looking in awe at the freshly refurbished rooms. Dash was holding her hand while showing her around.
"It isn't the former Imperial palace," he said with a grin. "But it is the place where I was born and raised. It is my home and from now on also your home, my love."
His wife smiled at him and gave him a kiss.
"It's very nice, darling and a good place to enjoy our retirement," she said while she moved over to the coat rack. The Jedi Master opened her weapon belt, took it off and hung it at the
wardrobe hook. She was pretty sure that she would never need it again.
