Accidental Villain 7

For the record and his defence Jaune had not wanted to steal the camp bed or the sleeping bag or the pillow, and to be fair he had paid for the majority of the stuff in the abandoned warehouse, but it turns out he had run out of money so he had to steal all of that stuff in the hopes of a goodnight sleep, or in his case a better night's sleep.

He saw the look on Pyrrha's face when she saw him at the club and he knew that she was horrified at how he looked, probably more so than usual. So as he went out to buy some more essentials he realised that he had no more Lien on him and his bank had probably been frozen so no chance of using that money he had saved up.

And that lead to him stealing just these things nothing else. He didn't want an even worse reputation than he already had and it was apparently starting to get really bad. He had a goodnight sleep once he had finally managed to get back to the warehouse and rest his eyes and his body. The aches were still pulsing through his body and the bruise under his eye was a very angry purple and the cuts along his arms had scabbed over, the wonders of what a good night could achieve were truly unmatched.

Currently Jaune was sorting through the book and the notes that he had taken from THE CLUB's office and upon reading further it seemed that there were even more criminal activities than what he had come to disrupt. To think all he originally wanted to do was destroy a pill that instead of helping people with anxiety and stress it replaced them with rage and the sleeping pill with memory loss, that one could have really been disastrous; and now Jaune was a criminal with a dedicated hero hunting him.

Things had truly escalated in a weird way.

Back to the books however and Jaune was seeing different photos, documents, addresses and names. There was enough evidence here to shut down drug deals, production and manufacturing centres of drugs, gun running, a 'protection' racket, several known hang outs of low level criminals and it all lead back to the crime lord of Vale Hei 'Junior' Xiong. Not at the Super-Villain level as Roman Tourchwick or Adam Taurus, and certainly nowhere near the level of Cinder Fall or Salem; the number 1 spot on the Villain list.

Speaking of Villains; Pyrrha had been completely right as he remembered his one of the TV shows he watched, the dad said to his son that women were always right somehow, Jaune never got this advice but he obviously needed to prove himself and then he and his dad could have all the father-son moments he saw on TV; he still had the list somewhere, first up was play a game of catch, he always watched when dad would do that with his sisters. The news had labelled him as one, that report had been a strange moment for him, as he felt pride at making it on to the news again; he just really wished that they mentioned more about his inventions and less about the damage that was cause around him.

It had been a shocking report as he had somehow managed to make it on to the top 10 list; when truly all he had done was escape a lab that blew up, evade capture at his apartment, steal some science reports, defeat a sidekick team, apparently hold up a bank, escape a pro hero and sidekick, evade the sidekick on 4 different encounters, break into a club, defeat another sidekick team and then evade Pyrrha again; that wasn't much was it?

Yet somehow he was now sitting on the top 10 list, he had managed to bump the illusion thief Emerald Sustari down to number 11 and he was below the butcher Mercury Black in number 9, he really hoped that Emerald didn't come after him for taking her spot.

'Well finding a girlfriend to impress the family for the holidays has gotten a lot harder now.' Jaune thought to himself as he rubbed his face in his hands, he was sure that if he showed up with someone who he shared a love with his family would be impressed and think he was worth a conversation or at the very least a hug.

Jaune had said before that he had never really paid attention to the rosters and the lists of the heroes and that went the same for the villains; however right now at this point in his life Jaune had been forced to look and memorise everyone on the top 10 list on both sides as well as look more into Pyrrha's history; turns out she was the said to be the new most promising prospect for heroes in his age group and suspected to be a future number 1 or at the very least top 3.

And while that was a little intimidating Jaune had also sent her flying into a massive bunch of milk cartons...

...

Oh that was bad, if she got into the top 3 then she would have so much support around her that hunting him down would be no problem...

Sweet Dust-mas...

Pyrrha paced around the sidekick break room with a concentrated, yet confused look on her face; she had no idea what had truly happened last night. The evening had gone on with such intensity after she had been notified that Jaune was at THE CLUB as she raced down there as quick as she could, then there was seeing Jaune looking beaten up and trying hard to resist the affect his powers had on her, then there was the fight with Cardin and then getting out smarted by Jaune once again.

'Not to forget how he called me beautiful again. Not that it is important or anything.'

No it was not important.

Not important to her at all.

Her behaviour on the other hand was enough for Yang and Nora to be watching her as she paced around the room and ate popcorn while she was walking; this was going to be entertaining enough for them so dinner was needed.

However they were quickly growing bored of this one woman show of nothing, every time they tried to talk to Pyrrha she would just pace in silence still in her own thoughts. Yang sent a quick text to Blake and Ruby to sort something out for her and then to leave once it was all ready; Ruby texted her back almost instantly saying it was done, both of them able to move very quickly when offered the right source of currency (Filth and Cookies; everyone has a price she learned).

The dynamic duo then stood up from the sofa they were watching the red headed champion from and moved over to her, each grabbing an arm and then guiding her along to the room that team RWBY used, set up exactly how Yang and Nora needed it to be. They plopped Pyrrha down in the chair and then-

SMACK

Pyrrha jumped as Yang smacked her hand down hard on the table in-front of her, she had been so deep in thought that she had not realised they had moved her to a different room; there was a rather large table, several chairs and even a mirror? Was that a one way mirror like they had in the interrogation rooms at a police station? How on Remnant did they get that?

"Okay Pumpkin Cereal, we can do this the Yang way or we can do this the Nora way; the choice is yours."

Pyrrha was seriously confused. "Um why am I here? And how did you get the room like this?"

The rest of the room was very clearly team RWBY's bed room, the bunk beds, the posters of heroes, the selection of … literature… this was without a doubt their room, but why was Pyrrha here?

"Excellent question-"

"-I asked 2 of them-"

"We are aware that you once again came into an encounter with Jaune and we have some questions for you-"

"I-I-I uh already told Miss Goodwitch, um e-everything abo-"

"-Now here is the thing; you see the Yang way is easy; some light teasing, side comments and all topped off with a handful of hilariously great puns."

"I'm sorry Yang, but I still don't unders-"

"The Nora way on the other hand – well why don't you ask a question Nora and we see who she wants to answer?"

Nora grabbed the hanging and swinging light that had cast a specific glow over just the people around the table. How had they managed to get the light that low and that dim? What had they done to their room?

"Did you squeeze his butt?"

Pyrrha has stopped working.

"Was it firm? PYRRHA WAS IT FIRM?!" Nora roared at her.

Pyrrha turned her whole body to Yang. "What's your question Yang?" her cheeks a lovely blush of red, her 2 interrogators could practically hear her heart beat.

"Aw dang it." Nora muttered "I'll find out one day."

Yang in the meantime was wearing a most triumphant smile, things were going perfectly for the day and it wasn't even lunch yet.

"Well 'Spearrha', hehe, we know that you already gave your report to Miss G, but we were hoping that you might tell us about your mission as well."

Pyrrha took a deep breath and squared her shoulders, she would not give them too much ammunition tease her about. "Well when I first arrived I had to work my way through the large crowd that insisted on videoing the whole thing, but after making my way into THE CLUB I saw Jaune stood there in the centre of the dance floor after he had taken down team CRDL and-"

"Yes but how did you feel when you saw him?" Yang interrupted, causing Pyrrha to freeze for a moment, unsure of how to answer the question.

"W-why is that important?" she asked nervously

"Because, uh because … he might not have activated his power yet!" Yang says completely, certainly, 100%, utterly, without a shadow of a doubt 'truthfully'.

Pyrrha seemed to buy it.

"Oh right. Well he must have activated it before I called out to him; my heart was beating faster, my fingers were twitchy. At first I thought it was the adrenaline of the fight, but my stomach was feeling weird and I was feeling hot, then he turned around-"

Pyrrha was interrupted, but this time by a Teenage Faunus Ninja Catgirl

"THAT'S NOT HOW IT GOES PYRRHA! You need to describe how he looks from behind, how his clothes fit him, how he stands; was he relaxed and carefree or tensed and straight?" Blake asks as she pounced from the shadows of her bed and gripped Pyrrha hard around the shoulders, shaking her hard.

This was material she needed for her break through romance. The enemies-to-lovers trope was taking a back seat right now and this was the perfect story for a revival.

"Oh." Was the intelligent answer that came out of Pyrrha's mouth. "Um he was wearing his usual lab coat, it had more rips and tears in it than normal, but I think the white does make his hair stand out a lot; he has nice hair." She manages to ramble out, not quite sure where the words are coming from but in no way stopping them from coming out of her lips. "Why is this so important?"

Yang sighed as she put her face in her palms and muttered a silent prayer under her breath, meanwhile Blake was scribbling away in her note book as she was perched on the edge of her bed and Nora simply had her finger tips pressed together and her chin resting on them.

"We are just trying to help P-money. Now; he turned around, how did he look and how did you feel?"

"He looked… he looked tired, conflicted and hurt, his eyes told me that he didn't want this to happen, he didn't want to fight and he was scared, but he knew that he still had to fight if he wanted to run."

"This is good stuff; and how did you feel?" Blake piped up as the scribbling grew faster, Pyrrha was certain that she could see smoke rising from the pages with the speed she moved her pen.

"I wanted to help him, to reach out to him. However he chose to try and distract me by saying how nice my hair looked … but it didn't work!" she said very quickly, a little red in the face.

Yang and Nora shared a look and Blake stopped her scribbling and the 3 of them stared deadpan at the redhead.

"Clearly."

The sarcasm at that moment could have levelled a kingdom.

"After that Cardin started to yell at Jaune and myself, but Jaune told him off and asked him to treat me with respect because I was being polite."

"Really Cardin tried yelling at you? The guy wears full amour for his super outfit; how did he think that was going to go? You could have sent him to Mistral."

"Nah, Pyrrha couldn't reach Mistral, he would weigh the shot down."

"Well I didn't need to do anything, Jaune spoke up and put Cardin in his place, it was a strange feeling having a villain show more compassion than a prospecting hero, and saying how nice I was being."

"Yeah and I bet you didn't feel anything strange at that did you?" Yang asks with a heavy eye roll.

"No I kept in complete control and in composure, but then he managed to distract me when I told him about what I had learned about him, b-but I didn't mention, uh or talk, about umm…" Pyrrha trails off into nothing as her face turns an interesting shade and she darts her eyes around the room, refusing to look at Yang or Nora. Those 2 however decide to share a large grin, knowing exactly what got her to trail off.

"Oh yeah, how could you forget about his family and the 7 sisters, that is a lot of sisters isn't it Nora?"

"Oh yes Yang 7 sisters is a lot! That wouldn't be the reason you got a little distracted would it Pyrrha?"

Pyrrha chose to ignore this point of conversation; it wasn't really relevant right now anyway.

"After our little talk he then used team CRDL to distract me, hoping that they would keep me occupied while he could escape and hoping that they wouldn't try to attack him. Cardin was on full offensive and had no amour on so I couldn't stick him to the ceiling, but Jaune had this little device that he attached to Cardins shoulder, it was a really smart move actually as it blasted him through the roof like a rocket, I just wish he hadn't put himself in such a painful position to help me."

"So what you are saying is that your dirty, scruffy, ripped lab coat and torn jeans knight saved your life while hurting himself; how … romantic?" Yang questioned as she looked at Blake, who was blasting back and forth across the pages at a speed that rivalled Ruby on her best day.

"Hey if Pyrrha's type is weak and unassuming then who are we to judge, opposites attract and all that stuff." Nora chimed in as she stuffed her face with a big handful of popcorn.

"Yes Nora, you being the perfect example of such a saying."

"Yea – No! We aren't 'together-together' we are just 'together', you guys get that right? Right?"

"Of course." Pyrrha said kindly the same time that Blake and Yang said "Nope."

"But don't worry Nora, today is about Pyrrha and her future husband, so calm down." Yang said, turning the attention back to the champion.

"Wha- I don't- that's-" Pyrrha managed to stutter out before a hand was held up in-front of her and pinched her lips together to get her to stop.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he sends Cardin flying through the roof, you put Russel through the window and then he blasted away a swarm of Doves, even though it would have been quicker and easier for him to leave while you had to deal with all of that. Great, I mean we all heard you when we listened intently through the wall secretly while you gave you report to Goodwitch; what we really want to know is what happened in the alleyway."

"W-what? I mean I lost him. It was nothing"

"Which is it you lost him or it was nothing?"

"Uh well-"

"I thought something was up; Nora bring in: THE REN!"

Nora jumped up from her seat and flew out of the door as Pyrrha felt her heart drop to her stomach.

"O-oh Ren? We don't need to get R-Ren involved, uh it wasn't, um really m-much." Pyrrha spluttered out nervously.

"So it was more than nothing then?" questions Blake.

Nora re-entered the room with Ren in his classic apron, clearly he had been making one of his questionable smoothies that only he and Ruby seemed to like. "Okay Renny, you just sit there and tell us when Pyrrha here lies."

"Hello Pyrrha." Ren said tiredly.

"Hello Ren." Pyrrha said very nervously.

"Okay so go on then; the alleyway." Yang prompted.

"I-I thought that I had caught him outside, but it was a hologram; like in the bank. I told him that other heroes would come for him and that because of his actions he would be labelled a Villain and Pro's would come after him. Then he left and that-"

"Lie." Ren said calmly, to which Yang grinned at the set-up of a great joke, but jokes could take the back seat for right now; 'I know I am shocked as well' Yang thought

"Oooh, so he said something before he left did he? Well come on then, out with it."

Pyrrha then opened her mouth and no audible sound came out, but Blake began to write with extreme intensity, faster than ever before, a little spark even started up in the air.

"Come on Pyrrha, gonna need you to speak up, we couldn't quite hear you."

"He said that he doubted they would be as beautiful as me." Pyrrha said quietly.

They didn't need to look at Ren for confirmation or to hear what he needed to say, they all knew that Pyrrha was telling the truth.

Her hair was currently the least red thing about her.

Remnant 2004-3/3 JLU Variation (Subjects only altered; none removed)

Nora swung her mace down where Ruby was standing and Yang chose this moment to flying drop kick Nora across the face, Blake then charged forward and slammed into her back taking her down to the ground. She then summoned the weight of the elephant, she knew Nora was strong, but it would hold for a moment.

Yang dived onto her mace wielding arm to stop Blake from getting smacked off of her and Ruby then reached into Nora's red head and plucked the small device from her ear, throwing it on the ground and then stomping on it.

Nora went stiff in Blake and Yang's grip and then she spoke her first words. "Uh ladies, while any other day this would be great fun, I should remind you I haven't cleared this with Renny."

"Okay she's back." Blake said as she got off her and Yang gave her a hand up.

"There is an explanation to this." Yang said in a very, very raspy voice. Ruby had to hit her vocal cords hard so that she could pin Yang and remove her control point as well. Speaking of Ruby she then made her way over to the edge of the glass cage and faced the crowd of booing old men and their young, and no doubt paid for girls.

"IS THAT ALL YOU GOT CINDER?" she yelled up at the top box.

"Not even close." She replied as the hatch in the middle opened up.

"Behold my grand prize."

"Oh fuck." Blake said as she backed away.

"You said it sister." Nora agreed.

"THAT'S RIGHT FOKES, IT'S REALLY PYRRHA NIKOS!"

"Anyone got a plan?" Yang's voice strained as she tried to speak loud enough to be heard over the roar of the crowd, and everyone's heart beats of having to fight Pyrrha.

"Survive?" Ruby questioned, and at this point it was a question on if they could.

They didn't even make it 10 seconds before Pyrrha had her hands around Blake's throat and was trying to squeeze the life out of her, Nora swung her mace and knocked the side of her head and forced Pyrrha to drop her friend, then as she lunged to punch her, Nora grabbed her arm, wrapped her legs around her waist and executed an advanced throw used in her military force, smashing Pyrrha's face into the glass.

"N-nice save, you got any more of that?"

"That was it." Meanwhile Yang had got her voice back and blasted through the glass and her and Ruby were already on their way up to stop Cinder. Who at this moment panicked and tried to face Ruby one-on-one and soon found out she was no fighter, quickly relinquishing the control that Yang very quickly smashed to bits.

Pyrrha took a punch from Blake to the gut and wrapped her arm around her, bringing her knee up and knocking the breath out of her, then holding her head in one hand she caught the mace of Nora with the other, head butting the redhead and grabbing her by the back of the head.

Just before she could bring the 2 of them smashing together she stopped a centimetre apart, the 2 looked up hopefully as Pyrrha quickly looked very confused.

"I hope you have an explanation for this."

"When you let go…"

"I'm sorry!"

Damn it Brian, I can believe you let this slip through your fingers. I had to rewrite the fabric between these world 4 times to stop them merging; why is this universe so prone to crossing with other dimensions?

THESE ALTERNATE UNIVERSES PLAY NO IMPACT ON THE REAL STORY, JUST TINY IDEAS THAT I DIDN'T WANT TOWRITE A FULL STORY ABOUT, MAYBE ONE DAY THOUGH.

This is a shorter one, they seem to be getting shorter as they go on. But it was more dialogue heavy, don't know if that is a good thing or not, you tell me, if you want to that is no pressure.
