Luz stood outside the front door of her house, feeling nervous and afraid about what she knew she had to once again confront, her own mother.
Ever since defeating Emperor Belos and finding his door back to the human realm, Luz had decided to give it a test run after saying goodbye to the people she was close to in the demon realm. She did promise them she'll be back, but she didn't know how long she'll be since this was her mother she had to see.
Luz worried that her mother would never let her visit the demon realm after being gone from home for who knows how many days, weeks, months even.
Luz was so afraid, if only she had someone to be beside her to help her through this very tense anxiety.
"You ready to head in?"
Well, Luz did bring along somebody, it was her awesome girlfriend, Amity Blight who was pulling a smile to keep her girlfriend at ease.
"Yeah, I just…Need to catch my breath for a moment." Luz responded as she took a few deep breaths.
"Do you want me to walk with you?" Amity asked as she offered Luz her hand. "I think it might help."
Luz breathed through her nose, clenched her fists and then put on her brave face. "I got it Amity."
"Are you sure?" Amity walked to Luz and put her hand on her shoulder. "I mean, you haven't seen your mother for a while, it might cause a huge amount of-"
"Cariño." Luz interjected. The human girl placed her hand on Amity's cheek and gave her a warm smile, trying to act brave. "I have this. I wanna ease her into me returning home before I introduce her to you. It might seem a bit too fast if I just say 'Hey Mamá, I'm back and I have a girlfriend'. You understand, right?"
Amity, instead of being annoyed, nodded her head in response. "I understand, monada."
Luz kissed her girlfriend on the cheek and motioned her to hide behind the fence. "I'll give you the signal."
"What signal?"
"You'll know." Luz responded while motioning to her little cat phone she and Amity frequently message on.
Amity understood completely and walked behind the fence to hide behind until Luz can giver her the signal.
Once Amity was hidden, Luz decided it was high time she walked right up to that house, hug her mother, say hi to Vee and then introduce Amity.
Luz, despite being nervous, slowly but eventually walked right up to her porch and right in front of the door. Luz lifted her hand, ready to knock on the door and to face her Mom.
After brief hesitation, Luz finally knocked on the door and waited for her mother to open the door. After about 13 seconds, Camilla Noceda, opened the door.
"Vee, are you back early?" Camila asked Luz. "I thought you'd be back at 4."
Luz took a deep breath as she tried to hold herself together, since this was her mom she was finally seeing again. "Hi Mom." Was all Luz could say.
It didn't take long for Camila to realise that the girl in front of her, wasn't her adopted daughter, but her own biological daughter. Camila at first, wasn't buying it, she thought it might've been Vee playing some sort of joke.
But Camila soon knew that this was her daughter in front of her when Luz started shedding some tears. Those weren't the tears of someone playing a prank on her, those were the tears of someone who has missed her.
"Luz!" Camila then pulled her daughter in for a massive hug that Luz accepted instantly. The two were so overwhelmed by the hug that they were both crying their eyes out.
Camila and her daughter soon pulled themselves out of the hug with Camila still holding Luz by her shoulders just to make sure she was there. Camila then noticed a tear falling from Luz's face and she placed a comforting hand on her daughter's cheek and wiped the tear away with her thumb.
"Mamá, I'm home." Luz soon said.
"I know, Mija." Camila said. "Estoy tan feliz!" Camila then hugged her daughter yet again, just to make sure what she was feeling was real. Luz then returned the hug as more tears started to fall from her eyes.
"I've missed you so much!" Luz cried.
"I've missed you too!" Camila responded while crying happy tears.
The two soon pulled out of the hug and started to happily stare at each other for a while until Camila started to inspect her daughter for any scratches or any bruises.
"Sweetie, are you okay?" Camila asked her daughter. "How did you survive the demon realm? Did you eat plenty? Did this Eda take good care of you? And did you defeat this awful Emperor Belos?"
"Mom, it's a long, long story." Luz replied. "But yeah, we pretty much did. And I found out he had a door to the human realm at the ready so in a way, it was quite convenient."
"Well, you're back and you're safe and that's all that matters." Camila said as she tried to bring her daughter inside her house, but Luz stopped her.
"Uh, Mamá, there's something else I need to tell you." Luz informed her mother.
"What's wrong?" Camila asked.
"Well, it's probably best if I show you." Luz then pulled out her cat phone and typed in a message for her girlfriend.
Behind the fence, Amity managed to get the message from Luz from her little cat phone. She tilted it to get the message and it said 'Come out. Don't be afraid.'
Amity took a deep breath and walked from behind the fence and turned towards the house, feeling quite nervous about meeting her girlfriend's Mom. I mean, Ms Noceda was fine with her daughter's orientation, but she didn't know if she'd react well to her being from another realm. I mean, she'd be happy for her daughter, right?
Amity walked towards the porch while pulling a nervous smile and offered Ms Noceda a handshake. "Hi, Ms Noceda….My name is Amity Blight. I'm your daughter's girlfriend."
Camila was at first amazed by this bit of information. I mean, she was absolutely fine with her daughter's sexuality, but she didn't expect her daughter to find love in the demon realm. "Luz, is she really your girlfriend?"
"Mamá, Amity and I are an item." Luz confirmed.
Camila soon smiled at her daughter, then at Amity and finally shook Amity's hand. "Well, I am glad to finally meet you Amity. Even though my daughter not once has mentioned you."
"I just wasn't ready to tell you." Luz replied.
"Well, now that you have a girlfriend that gives me the chance to embarrass you in front of your girlfriend." Camila remarked, very teasingly.
"Yes, it sure does." Luz replied, not even comprehending what her mother just said. "Wait, what?"
"Why don't you two come inside?" Camila asked. "Judging by the clouds it might rain soon."
"Rain?!" Amity exclaimed before jumping over the porch to try and find the magic shield to shield the house from rain, since she wasn't exactly familiar with how rain worked in her girlfriend's world.
Camila was confused by what the girl was doing while Luz facepalmed herself due to her own stupidity.
"Luz, does your girlfriend have Ombrophobia?"
"Huh?"
"Does Amity have a fear of rain?" Camila asked.
Amity soon returned to the front of the house and looked under the stairs. "There's gotta be a lever to activate the shields!"
"Amity!" Luz's interjection made Amity stop and look at her girlfriend, still a bit terrified. "Rain, doesn't burn our skin in my world. It's not acid."
Amity soon calmed down and looked back and forth between Camila and Luz. "Oh no!" Amity turned red in the face and covered her face with her hands to try and hide her embarrassment.
"Uh….Let's go inside." Camila suggested.
Later inside the house, Amity, Luz and Camila were in the living room with Camila sitting on the master couch that was big enough for one person while Luz and Amity were sitting on the couch where they could sit next to each other.
Camila had made herself a nice cup of tea while Luz got herself and Amity a can of orange soda.
Amity, having never seen a canned drink before, was inspecting it like it was some kind of strange ancient artefact. She saw Luz drinking from her own can and tried drinking her can, but nothing.
Luz saw that her girlfriend was having a problem and helped her open the can. "Here you go, Cariño."
"Thanks." Amity said before taking a sip of her drink and smacking her lips, trying to analyse the strange taste in her mouse. It tasted like orange, but there was a strange fizz to it.
"So, how did you two meet?" Camila asked. "I mean, how you two met must've been really interesting."
"Actually, it's not really interesting." Luz lied, trying to not tell the somewhat confrontational moments between them. Including the part where she tried to dissect her. "I mean, we met, we fell in love, we found out we have a crush on each other and we got together. That's about it."
"Luz, when we first met, you pretended to be an Abomination for Willow." Amity reminded Luz.
"Well we weren't formally introduced at that moment." Luz said.
"I guess not." Amity said. "I tried to have her dissected after she ate a sandwich since Abominations can't eat." Luz froze at Amity revealing that truth. "And then we were forced into a magic duel, then I turned down her friendship multiple times since I was worried she'd get me into trouble, then she stole my wand so she could practice magic, then at some point I started to fall for her, I tried asking her out at Grom but I was crowned Grom queen at that point, Luz decided to take my place so I wouldn't face my fear of rejection, we had our Grom dance and defeated the Grom, we played Grudgby where I broke my leg, at that point my feelings for your daughter got intense, I was forced to be silent when my Mom expelled her and her friends from Hexside, I lost my job at the library, she got my job back, I kissed her on the cheek leading me to avoid Hexside for a day due to my intense embarrassment, I got captured by Hooty so Luz could ask me out, Luz asked me out and I said yes! So yeah, that's how the story went."
Camila was a bit speechless about some of the descriptions, especially the part about almost dissecting her daughter over eating a sandwich. While Luz stared at her girlfriend with an embarrassed look while Amity stared at her girlfriend, confused at first, but she got it.
"I wasn't supposed to tell her everything was I?" Amity asked.
"Well, the bad stuff." Luz replied.
Camila, still a bit speechless, drank some tea to calm her nerves a bit and she just pulled a calm smile. "Well, not every relationship is perfect…..But, well….I….I…I have nothing to say about that."
"Look Mom, I know that might seem bad…"
"Don't worry Luz, at least you two sorted out your relationship." Camila said with a smile.
"Yeah, that's great." Luz agreed.
Just then, the door opened and another version of Luz, this time with shorter hair, jeans, yellow shirt and black jacket, entered the house. "Camila, I'm home!"
"Vee, great that you're back." Camila said. "Look who's here."
Luz stood up to face her adopted sister and smiled with excitement while Amity just smiled to appear friendly.
Luz then ran up to Vee and gave her a massive sisterly hug, which the Basilisk returned. "Luz, I'm so happy to meet you for the first time." Vee said happily.
"Yeah, least it's not through a reflection." Luz responded as she pulled herself out of the hug. "By the way Vee, this is my girlfriend, Amity."
"Hi." Amity greeted Vee. "Let's hope I don't accidentally kiss her instead of Luz." Amity laughed awkwardly at her joke while Luz tried to put on a brave smile while Camila wasn't laughing, she was just silent. Amity noticed Camila not laughing at her joke and she tried to explain. "Cause, you know….There are two Luz's."
"I think I got it." Camila responded while pulling a blank face.
"Hey Amity, how about we go into my room?" Luz suggested.
"No thanks Luz, I think I should get back home." Amity said.
"Amity, why don't you stay for dinner?" Camila suggested.
"Really?" Amity asked. "Will I be much trouble?"
"Not at all." Camila said assured her while pulling a friendly smile. "No te preocupes." (Do not worry.)
"Okey." Amity responded.
"I'm planning to make locrio for tonight if that's fine." Camila explained.
"Oh Amity, you'll love locrio!" Luz exclaimed. "I haven't had it in months!"
"Are you sure you would like for me to stay for dinner?" Amity asked. "I mean will I-"
"I told you not to worry, Amity." Camila assured her. "I mean, you are my daughter's girlfriend, it would be rude of me not to offer you dinner. Now, head on upstairs so my daughter can show you her Anime collection."
Amity, despite feeling she didn't belong here, obliged and head on upstairs with Luz and Vee. Once Amity left, Camila sighed as if she felt somewhat sympathetic with what's going on.
Camila then picked up a picture of her, Luz and Luz's father on the beach looking as happy as they can be. She stared tearfully at the man in said photo and said, "Dalvin, if only you could see our daughter."
Meanwhile in Luz's bedroom, Luz was busy laying in her bed and rolling about since she missed it so much. I mean, sure her bed on the Boiling Isles was fine, but she was sleeping in a sleeping bag on the floor, so it wasn't exactly comfortable.
"Oh man!" Luz exclaimed happily. "I missed this! Hello bed!"
"Oh by the way Luz, sorry I donated some of your stuff away." Vee apologised. "I mean, I got back from reality camp and I had to in order to maintain-"
"Don't explain yourself Vee, I know." Luz responded. "Did you by any chance make friends?"
"Oh yeah, a lot of friends." Vee replied. "I mean, they're so great. And I think I….Might be having some strange feelings for one of them."
This bit of news made Luz shoot up straight and started to shake Vee. "Details! Give me details! Are they cute?!"
While Vee was giving Luz details about someone she admired, Amity was just watching on with a smile on her face at her girlfriend being herself.
Amity, having never been to Luz's bedroom, thought the place looked nice. I mean, it was kind of like her bedroom on the Boiling Isles, but had that Luz feel. I mean, there was a collection of Good Witch Azura books, figurines of Anime characters, a picture of a 3 year old Luz with a man; both of them dressed like Anime characters with spiky hair.
Amity then placed the picture down and sat down on Luz's bed all while staring at her girlfriend interacting with her sister.
Even though Amity liked being with Luz, Amity didn't know if her mother actually approves of them. Apart from acting like a fool in front of her by overreacting because of the rain, her revealing their confrontational greeting and doing a terrible joke. So, Amity had a lot of anxiety flying about.
"Hey Luz." Amity interjected.
Luz turned to her girlfriend and noticed that she was looking absolutely worried and like she failed. "Amity, is there anything wrong?"
"Am I doing bad?" Amity asked. "Am I doing a bad job at showing your Mom I'm a great girlfriend?"
Luz stared at her girlfriend like she said the most craziest thing in existence. "Amity, don't say that!"
"I mean, you saw how I humiliated myself and how she reacted when I told the bad stuff that happened between us." Amity argued. "I mean, what if your Mom wishes for you to be with a human?"
"Amity, my Mom is the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met." Luz assured. "She'll respect my choice. Wouldn't she, Vee?"
"Well, Camila is sweet but she will beat anyone with La Chancla in case someone wronged her." Vee replied.
Amity didn't know what the La Chancla was, but it sure as heck sounded threatening that it kind of worried her.
"Don't worry Amity, it's just a flip flop." Luz assured her girlfriend.
"But, how do I get your Mom to like me?" Amity asked.
"Don't try Amity." Luz replied. "Just try and be yourself. Can you do that, Amity?"
Luz's reassurance made Amity feel a bit comfortable and calmer since Luz had that ability of doing so. "Thanks Luz." Amity said.
"Luz, could you get some rice from the store?!" Camila shouted from downstairs. "Just because you've returned home doesn't mean you're avoiding tasks!"
Luz sighed in annoyance. "Dios, nunca voy a tener un descanso." (Jeez, I'm never gonna get a break.) "Okay Mama! I'll be back, Amity. Do you wish to come with the store with me?"
"No, thanks I'll be fine." Amity assured her girlfriend. "You go off and buy this rice."
"See ya in about 15 minutes." Luz kissed Amity on the cheek before running out of the house to get some rice for the locrio.
Once Luz left the house, Amity laid down on her girlfriend's bed trying to think as to how she can get Luz's Mom to like her. I mean, she knew she was not going to go big, or using her terrible jokes. What could she do?
Vee stared at Luz's girlfriend like she was in an awkward situation. I mean, she's alone in a room with someone who could be her future sister-in-law. "Say something Vee. Don't make this awkward."
"So…How-"
"Hey Vee, how did you get Camila to like you?" Amity asked.
"You mean when I was pretending to be Luz?" Vee asked. "Well…It was hard trying to know Luz but I eventually got there."
"I mean in a way where I don't have to pretend to be my girlfriend." Amity responded.
"Oh, then you mean after she found out I was not Luz." Vee then sat on the floor as she started to remember. "When she found out I was Luz, she didn't seem angry and she treated me like I was a daughter she never had."
"I mean, she must've seemed alone during Luz's absence." Amity remarked.
"I was there." Vee replied. "I was there for her. And she did like when I helped her with the cooking."
Amity smiled at Vee and said, "Thanks for the suggestion." She got off the bed and started to approach the door.
"Where are you going?" Vee asked.
"I'm going to help Camila with the cooking." Amity said.
"You sure you don't want me to handle it?"
"Not at all, Vee." Amity responded. "Because, I am about to show Camila that I am an Novia impresionante." (Awesome girlfriend.)
Amity then left the bedroom so she could help Camila with the locrio while Vee sighed with relief. "I think I did good. I think I did good."
Downstairs in the kitchen, Camila was busy cleaning the chicken so it was fresh for the meal. She didn't notice Amity come down the stairs since Amity was being quiet. She hid behind the entrance to the kitchen, sweating from her forehead. "Okay Amity, you can do this." Amity whispered to herself. "I mean, this can't be hard. Hey Camila, let me help you out with the locrio. What do you think I should do? Well, I don't mind really."
"What are you doing Amity?" Camila's interjection made the lavender haired girl flinch so bad that she almost fell.
"Oh, hey Ms Noceda." Amity greeted rather awkwardly. "I just came downstairs wondering if you needed help with anything."
"You want to help?" Camila asked.
"Yes." Amity responded.
"I don't know Amity." Camila responded. "While I appreciate it, I don't know if you'll be able to help since….You know…"
"Because human realm and demon realm food are different?" Amity blew a raspberry. "I'm a fast learner, Camila. I'm pretty sure I have this."
About 12 minutes later, Luz returned home with a pack of rice in her hand and a can of grape soda for herself. "Hey Mamá, sorry I took long. Vee's friends just showed up and struck a conversation with me and I would've said I was in a rush but I was caught up in discussing the latest episode of Monsterslayer Academia. And oh boy, was I spoiled?" Luz then snapped herself out of her conversation and realised that her mom and girlfriend were covered in smoke soot and foam. But Amity, wasn't just covered in soot and foam, she was also covered in what appeared to be Abomination goo.
Luz was confused at first, but she also noticed Vee, in her basilisk form, hiding behind the TV.
Luz may have had her stupid moments, but she wasn't dumb and she managed to put the pieces of what the heck happened together. "Okay, how did the fire start?"
"Amity tried to help me by making sofrito for the locrio and she accidentally set most of the kitchen equipment on fire." Camila replied.
"I tried to put it out with an abomination." Amity explained. "But apparently, it doesn't do well around blenders and exploded."
"And you thought it was a good idea to try magic?!" Camila asked Amity angrily.
Amity stared at Camila, feeling somewhat intimidated by such a woman who was shown to be very lovely and understanding. "I-I-I-I-" Amity stuttered.
"Look Amity, it's probably best you don't help because who knows what kind of damage you might cause! Do you understand?!"
Amity sighed as a response. "Yes, Ma'm."
"Now I suggest you clean yourself up and find something to wear." Camila requested.
"Yes, Ma'm." Amity replied before listening to Camila and walking upstairs to clean herself off of the Abomination goop.
While Luz stared sympathetically at Amity, feeling sorry for her about hearing her own mother scold her girlfriend. But she did kind of narrow her eyes at her mother for being a bit too harsh on Amity.
Vee then slithered out from behind the TV and shape changed back into her Luz form and walked towards Luz feeling quite nervous.
"I'm sorry you had to hear that." Vee said.
"It's not your fault, Vee." Luz replied.
"I was talking about my friends spoiling that Monsterslayer Academia episode, but yeah, I'm sorry about that as well." Vee replied.
Luz stared at her mother, whom was trying to catch her breath after that little fire incident. "Uh, magia." (Uh, magic.)
Upstairs in Luz's bedroom, Amity, dressed in a dressing gown after a nice warm shower, was trying to find something to wear. The poor lavender haired girl was busy thinking about what had transpired between her and her would-have-been-mother-in-law. I mean, she didn't mean to set fire to the kitchen and she didn't mean to make it worse with her Abomination. All she wanted was Ms Noceda's approval, and all she got was a very angry mother.
Amity then heard a knock on the bedroom door. "Come in."
And who was at the door? It was obviously, Amity's awesome girlfriend, Luz Noceda who was giving her girlfriend a warm smile.
"Cariño, are you okay?" Luz asked calmly.
"Yeah, I've been scolded worse." Amity replied.
"Amity, are you sure you're okay?" Luz approached her girlfriend and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I mean, my Mom did seem very angry.
"All I did was make a mistake and she got angry, no big deal!" Amity replied, frustrated.
Luz knew her girlfriend wasn't feeling herself right now and turned her girlfriend round to face her. The lavender haired girl stared into Luz's eyes as she gave her a look that said 'Be honest with me.'
Amity knew it was no use to lie to Luz, so she sighed and decided to be honest. "I just feel like I'm failing to impress your Mom. I want her to approve of me so badly but I know I'm screwing up so badly!"
"You aren't Amity." Luz assured her. "You're only making a few mistakes and Mom knows it."
"How do you know?!" Amity exclaimed. "What if she hates me because I'm a witch from another universe?"
"My Mom is not like that." Luz once again assured her girlfriend. "I know she knows you're only trying to impress her and admires you for it."
"I doubt that." Amity responded. "I mean, I've been trying to impress her all day and I feel my chances of being a worthy girlfriend in the eyes of your Mom are depleting."
Luz took her girlfriend in her hand and looked her in the eyes with a sympathetic look. "I think I see the problem. You are trying too hard to impress her. I mean, I hate to criticise my girlfriend, but you try too hard and that causes you to worry. Remember when you, Eda and King went to Eclipse Lake when I was sick with the common mould? King told me you were so convinced that if you failed me, I'd dump you and it caused you so much worry and stress. I just want to say, I didn't need you to try and impress me, I already loved how awesome you were. Even without all that cool Abomination skill. And I don't think you need to impress Mom. Just be yourself." Luz then thought back to the last sentence. "Wow, I never thought I'd get this cheesy and cliched."
"No Luz, I liked it." Amity said as she took her girlfriend's hand. "And I guess I do kind of agree. I guess I do try hard. Look Luz, I'm gonna take your advice and try and be myself for the rest of the night."
"That's my awesome girlfriend." Luz then shared a kiss with her girlfriend before departing from her room so Amity could get changed in private.
Later that same night, Amity was outside the house and standing out on the porch eating her slice of pizza. She was wearing a black jumper with a white cat on the centre, dark blue jeans and underneath the jumper was that of a male Anime character with maroon hair and a very big scar on his forehead that looked a lot more like a birthmark.
After Amity got dressed in her best clothes, she did join Luz, Camila and Vee for a slice of pizza. She just sat while Luz talked to her Mom about her adventures in the Boiling Isles, including how she defeated Belos and redeemed Hunter.
And the pizza? Amity, having been born in the Boiling Isles, had never tried pizza before so this was kind of new. When she eventually tried pizza, it tasted strange but she eventually managed to like the taste that it was worth a second slice.
During Luz's stories however, Amity had decided to stay silent unless Luz needed some clarification about one of their adventures. Amity had requested she'd go out for fresh air which Camila allowed.
Amity ate her pizza as she pondered what her future with Luz could mean. Would they still be together despite hopping through realms? Or would her Mom not allow it?
"Liking the fresh air?" Amity turned around and noticed Camila standing by the door with a warm smile on her face.
"Sorry, I was just thinking." Amity responded.
"Do you wish to be alone or do you want to talk about what you're thinking?" Camila asked as she approached her daughter's girlfriend and stared off into the distance with her.
"I'm just pondering what the future will be like." Amity replied. "Between me and your daughter that is."
"Are you hoping that you two will still be together?"
The lavender haired girl looked away from her would-be-mother-in-law and replied, "Well, it's something I want. I'm just worried I might….Not get the chance."
"Why's that?" Camila asked, sounding interested, but kind of already knowing the answer.
"Well….I'm a little scared that there might not be a future for me and Luz." Amity responded as she took a bite from her pizza.
"Has she done something?" Camila looked worried when Amity said that. "Or have you done something?"
"No! No!" Amity responded. "We want to have this future. She's really confident that we will but me….." Amity took a deep breath, trying to buck up the courage to being honest to Ms Noceda. "…I'm just scared you won't approve of me."
"Well, you are a witch but that doesn't bother me." Camila replied. "Unconventional, but it doesn't bother me."
Amity then groaned. "Then I must have screwed up big time! I mean the joke, how I panicked about rain, describing all the bad stuff between me and Luz and burning down the kitchen."
"You didn't exactly burn it down." Camila commented. "You just kind of cause damage and it's gonna cost a lot and my insurance company is going to be asking me a lot of questions regarding how that happened."
"Oh man, I screwed up." Amity groaned as she pressed her hands against her face. "I'm so sorry Camila. I only wanted to gain your approval. If you don't want me and Luz to be together, then I-"
"Who said I don't want to?" Camila's interjection made Amity remove her hands from her face and stare at the woman with a surprised expression. "And you are right, you did make some stupid decisions. Like that joke, almost destroying my kitchen, the bad stuff that happened between you and my baby girl and that little embarrassment with the rain." Camila then chuckled. "Just like Dalvin."
Amity stared at Camila with a curious expression which the woman noticed. "Who's Dalvin?"
"Oh, Dalvin was my husband." Camila responded. "And Luz's father. I remember when he met my parents and tried so hard to impress them. I mean, he tried helping my Mamá with the cooking and he accidentally set fire to the kitchen. My Mamá was so angry and my Papá was so furious that they wanted him charged with arson. But I was laughing. You remind me much of him. Always trying way too hard to impress others for approval."
"So, you approve of me and Luz because I remind you of your husband?"
"Not really." Camila responded. "You make my daughter happy and you aren't a bad kid, Amity. And nothing's more important then my daughter being happy in a relationship. Unless that person is pure evil then they will have to meet the wrath of La Chancla!"
Amity chuckled. "Don't worry, that old me is dead."
Just then, lightning struck, causing Amity to flinch as the rain started to pour. Amity was about to panic but Camila gently held her by the shoulder and gave her a warm smile.
"Our rain doesn't burn." Camila then held her hand out of the porch to feel the raindrops falling on her hand to show Amity it won't sting. "Hold your hand out."
Amity was at first hesitant to feel the rain but after a few times where she pulled her arm back, she allowed the rain to fall on her hands. The rain felt wet but every time the drops fell on her palm, it felt beautiful. It felt, amazing. It was probably the most amazing feeling she had ever felt.
Amity then walked off of the porch and then spread her arms out as she let the rain dropped on her. She didn't care if she was getting wet, the feeling was just too amazing.
Camila wasn't at all weirded out by what Amity was doing. This girl had lived her life fearing her realm's rain and to see her embracing the human rain was a very beautiful moment.
But Camila knew Amity might catch a cold if she stood out in the rain any longer, so she gently held her and took her back on the porch to protect her from the rain.
"Listen Amity, if it's not too much trouble, how about you stay for the night?" Camila asked.
"You sure?" Amity asked. "Will I be any trouble?"
"You've protected my daughter from the dangers in your realm, it's the least I could do." Camila replied.
The two smiled at each other, with Amity full on smiling since she knew she had finally got the approval she wanted, despite the fact she screwed up.
Later that night, Camila had allowed to sleep in Luz and Vee's room, trusting the two won't get into shenanigans in the night.
Amity had managed to find pyjamas that fit her. The pyjamas was a black and white tank top with pants with pictures of red armoured Anime character walking towards a red motorcycle. Amity and Luz had decided to share a sleeping bag together while Vee got Luz's bed.
Luz walked into her room dressed in her Azura pyjamas after brushing her teeth and got into the bag with her awesome girlfriend.
The lavender haired witch snuggled up to Luz and kissed her on her forehead as she was pretty much ready to sleep in the human realm for the first time.
Luz returned the affection with a kiss to Amity's lips, something that made Amity blush cherry red.
"Te amo, Luz." (Love you, Luz.)
"Te amo también, Amity." (Love you too, Amity.)
The awesome girlfriends snuggled up to each other and closed their eyes and slept peacefully into the night. While Camila finally rested peacefully, knowing that her daughter had returned to the human realm safe and sound and knowing her daughter had an awesome girlfriend that would die for her.
