Amity Blight had awoken from a pleasant night, laying on the floor in a sleeping bag with the one person she didn't know if she'd have a future without, Luz Noceda, her awesome girlfriend.

She had awoken to the site on the cute human face, whom was resting peacefully in dreamland without anyone bothering her. Amity continued to stare at Luz all while resting on her pillow. She smiled as she pondered how someone with a terrible and cruel background like her, would end up with someone as enthusiastic, caring and adorable like Luz.

"How did I end up with someone like you?" Amity whispered to the sleeping form before gently stroking her black hair.

Despite sleeping, the warmth of Amity's hands made Luz smile as if she knew what her awesome girlfriend was doing right at this very moment.

"You're very lucky you have a girlfriend."

Amity turned to face the Basilisk who then shape changed into her regular Luz form. Amity was at first weirded out, but she eventually did remember this was Luz's adopted sister.

"What time is it?" Vee asked.

Amity looked to a clock at the wall which had Azura on the minute hand while there was an owl on the hour hand. "Six-fifteen."

"Oh, that's very early." Vee commented.

"That's usually when I wake up." Amity remarked before sitting on the bed right across from Vee.

"You and Luz, huh?" Vee remarked.

"Yeah." Amity replied. "Sometimes I wonder how I ended up with her. I mean, someone like me and someone like her."

Vee placed a comforting hand on Amity's shoulder and smiled. "You do deserve her. If you think about it, if she didn't enter your life, you wouldn't have stood up to your Mom and become a better person. And if I didn't meet her, then I might have ended up at the hands of a crazy librarian who thinks demons come from Mars. I don't know, Mac told me that it sounds like a video game."

"Wait, people know you're a Basilisk?" Amity asked.

"Nah, I just asked my friends a question that avoided me revealing myself to be a Basilisk." Vee replied.

"Since this is my first time in the human realm, I have to ask since you've been here longer, what is it like?" Amity asked.

"Do you want the bad stuff or the good stuff?" Vee asked.

"Uh….The good stuff." Amity replied.

"We have plenty of libraries and something called an arcade where you play something called video games and you win some kind of prize if you get enough tickets." Vee explained. "They also have movie theatres."

"What are those?" Amity asked.

"They're like books, only you don't read them." Vee replied. "Well, sometimes you do have to read when you're watching one of those foreign language movies."

"Are they like those orb shows back on the Boiling Isles?" Amity asked.

"Yeah. Only it's projected on a big piece of paper called a screen." Vee explained. "They made a lot of great movies like Ghosted Away and Prince Ononoke. I think you'll like them."

"I hope so." Amity responded. "Do you want me to get you anything?"

"Amity, it's a little early to get up." Vee pointed out.

"Well, I'd usually get up at this time to have breakfast and get ready for the day ahead of me." Amity responded.

"Do you get tired?"

Amity then started to think back to all the times she had to get up early due to her mother's insistence. "Honestly, yeah."

"Well, I think this might be the perfect opportunity." Vee said. "To have that perfect sleep. Don't you think?"

Amity smiled at Vee, showing her that she thanked her for the suggestion. She gave Vee a quick hug, went back to the sleeping bag and snuggled back up to Luz; wrapping her arm around her girlfriend's waist. Despite being fast asleep at this point, Luz still smiled as she felt her girlfriend holding her. While Amity, fell asleep instantly.

But the next morning, Amity's peaceful sleep was ruined when she felt the sun shining in her face and groaned.

"Good morning human sun!" Luz exclaimed happily. "And good morning tweeting birds!"

Vee sat up in her basilisk form rubbing her head. "Can I have 10 more minutes?"

"And good morning to you, sister." Luz replied happily.

"Can I have an hour longer?" Amity asked as she tried to roll over and get back to sleep. "I've had the best sleep in my life and I don't want it ruined."

Luz walked to her lazy girlfriend and bent down on her knees to kiss her on the head. "And good morning to you sleepyhead."

Amity responded by chuckling and replying by taking Luz's hand and kissing it. "And good morning to you my awesome girlfriend."

"No, you're the awesome girlfriend." Luz retorted.

"No you're the awesome girlfriend."

"Actually, you're the awesome girlfriend."

"Correction, you are the awesome girlfriend."

"System error, you're the awesome girlfriend."

"No, eres la novia increíble." (No, you are the awesome girlfriend.)

"Eres la novia asombrosa." (You're the awesome girlfriend.)

"Actually, both of you are awesome girlfriends." Vee said, starting to get tired of their back and forth.

Luz and Amity smiled at Vee while they both blushed. "That's right." Amity responded.

Downstairs, Camila was on the phone talking to her insurance company about the destroyed kitchen. "So how much will that insure me?…Wow, that's a lot…" While Camila continued talking to the person on the phone, Luz, Amity and Vee walked down the stairs getting ready for the day ahead of them.

Luz was dressed in a black shirt with grey shorts, while Vee was dressed in Luz's trademark clothing, while Amity decided to put on a blue shirt along with a blue skirt and black shoes she obviously borrowed from Luz's wardrobe.

"You wish to know what destroyed my kitchen?" Camila then looked at the girls and covered the phone so she can ask the girls for a good excuse.

"Stray paper!" Luz exclaimed.

"A ghost?!" Vee replied while shrugging her shoulders.

"Snow?!" Amity replied while shrugging her shoulders.

Camila went back on the phone, realising those excuses weren't good enough. "Giant woodpecker…..Wow, third time someone has said that excuse this week?…Alright…uh huh….Okay, bye." Camila then hung up and sighed. "Odio a la gente a veces."

"So, what do we have for breakfast?" Luz asked.

"Well, we can't have breakfast in the house so, how about the Ihoop?" Camila asked.

"Sounds nice." Luz commented.

"Ihoop?" Amity asked.

"It's a breakfast place that sells the best pancakes in the country." Vee explained.

"Honestly, I'm in it for the coffee." Luz explained.

"Let's get going!" Vee was about to run out the door, but Camila had managed to get in front of her adopted daughter in record speed.

"Vee, as much as I wish for you to come, we kind of have a couple of problems." Camila then motioned to Vee, who soon realised she was still dressed as Luz.

"Oh right, okay." Vee then shape changed into a boy who looked like the age of eleven with hair half blonde and half purple; Wearing a shirt with a spiky haired anime character with a blue suit and a black jeans.

"Wait, you had Vee turn into cousin Tony?" Luz asked.

"Well he rarely visits so it makes sense." Camila pointed out. "And lastly, Amity."

"Is it the hair?" Amity asked.

"No, your hair works." Camila replied. "It's a pointier problem."

"You mean my ears?"

"Some might think you're a cosplayer but others will start staring." Camila responded. "Like that evil librarian."

"He was nasty." Vee commented.

"So, what do you suggest?" Amity asked.

"I might have something that'll help." Camila replied.

Later, Amity stood in front of the bedroom mirror wearing a dark green beanie she wore over her head and ears. She stared at her reflection with an unimpressed look.

"I don't like it." Amity commented. "I don't think this suits me."

Luz then approached her girlfriend and wrapped her arm around her waist. "No Amity, it suits you."

"You're just saying that to make me more confident." Amity chuckled.

"Amity, I would never lie in our relationship." Luz responded.

Later at the IHoop, the Nocdeas and co were having breakfast pancakes each with syrup on top of them.

While Vee, Luz and Camila were enjoying their breakfast, Amity was still inspecting the food like it was some kind of strange creature. But she eventually took a bite out of it and to her, it felt like a taste of some kind of salvation. Soft, chewy and the syrup made it taste like melted gold. If melted gold didn't taste so lethal.

"How are you liking those pancakes?" Camila asked Amity.

"They actually taste better than what we have at the Boiling Isles." Amity replied. "We'd usually have fairy wings for breakfast."

Camila went silent by the news that she swore she was about to lose her appetite. "Well, I'm not one to judge how everyone eats."

"So Luz, do we have plans for today?" Amity asked.

"Well, I was kind of thinking we'd go to the theatre and maybe to the park for a stroll." Luz suggested.

"That doesn't sound too bad." Amity responded. "How about you Vee?"

"I'd love to come with you girls, but I need to study for a test on Monday." Vee replied.

"And I'd love to come with you girls, but work called and I need to go in." Camila replied.

"That's understandable Mom." Luz replied.

"But speaking of theatre, I managed to book four tickets for The Last Elementbender." Camila's response made Luz stare at her mother in amazement since she was a fan of the cartoon the show was based off of.

"Mom, you are the best." Luz responded.

"I know." Camila replied while acting a bit smug about it. "Oh and girls, be careful when exploring the town. I heard that crazy conspirator's been out and about being a public menace."

"Don't worry Mom." Luz assured her. "He can't be that bad."

"To be fair he did get knocked out easily." Camila agreed. "But I still do think you should be careful. He could be anywhere." Camila then started looking around the Ihoop to see if he was anywhere, but luckily, he was nowhere to be found. Although, the strange man wearing a brown jacket with his hood up did look suspicious to her.

Once everyone had finished their breakfast, Camila had to get to work while Vee had to go and study, leaving Luz and Amity to do whatever they want for the remainder of the day.

"So Amity, we have the human world to explore, what would you like to do?" Luz asked her girlfriend.

"Do you have anywhere where I can find a dead mouse?" Amity asked. "I promised Hooty I'd bring him one when I returned."

Luz looked at her girlfriend with an uncomfortable smile since this was not what she expected. "Well…..there might be some at the park."

"Well, then let's go there." Amity responded before offering her arm. "M'Lady."

Luz blushed at her Amity before hooking her arm with her awesome girlfriend's and walking towards the park.

While at the park, Luz and Amity were taking a long stroll just admiring the sun shining and birds flying over them.

They soon stopped and sat down on a bench to admire the pond, watching the ducks and ducklings swimming despite the fact it would be too cold for this time of year for ducks to come out and swim.

They cuddled while watching a male goose and female goose nuzzle each other with their heads.

They soon got themselves some human ice cream that didn't have any fairies or any other strange creature filling.

Luz got herself raspberry swirl while Amity got herself some mint green. Amity, having never tried human ice cream, instantly fell in love with the it. I mean, she was surprisingly enjoying a lot of human food.

Later, the two decided to take a break and relax by a tree. Amity was reading a book she got from a human library before she and Luz went to the park, called A Battle of Thrones by Georgie RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Martin while Luz was busy sitting on the tree branch just watching her girlfriend.

They had been at this part of the park for about 19 minutes doing nothing except relax by the same tree.

Luz then started hanging upside-down from the branch by using her legs and hung right in front of her girlfriend, who took note of her girlfriend's dorky behaviour with a smile.

"Yes, Luz?" Amity queried as she placed a bookmark on her book and closed it to stare at her girlfriend.

"I think you know what I want." Luz replied playfully.

Amity did get what Luz wanted. The iconic upside-down kiss from…Well, we all know the movie. "What?" Amity asked teasingly.

Luz gave a playful pout as a response. "You know what I'm implying."

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't." Amity playfully responded while standing up.

"Aww….." Luz pouted before realising she was about to lose balance. But unfortunately, she didn't get the pulling herself up portion of hanging from a tree and fell.

But luckily, Amity had fast reflexes and caught her in her arms as fast as she could. Luz went red in the face while Amity just pulled a smug smile.

"If it's all the same, I wouldn't want your perfect head ruined." Amity then groaned. "Oh gosh, that was cheesy."

"You do realise you're talking to the master of cheesy." Luz responded.

"My master of cheesy." Amity retorted before she kissed Luz on the lips which the awesome girlfriend returned as she wrapped her hands in Amity's cotton candy hair. They soon disconnected and stared into each other's sparkling eyes.

"Aww, look who managed to find herself a weirdo of her own." Interjected a voice that made Luz's blood boil. "Luz Noceda. Or was it Luz No-ceda?"

The girl turned out to be a Caucasian girl with brunette hair with a few pink strands on. She wore a black jacket with black shorts and red shoes.

Amity then lowered her girlfriend, who stared at the girl who was obviously a bully with a hint of venom.

"Oh, hey Faye." Luz sarcastically greeted.

"Thought I wouldn't be seeing you here." Faye stated. "I thought reality camp might have turned you normal but no, it only made you weirder."

"Watch it!" Amity demanded.

"And what do you have to say?" Faye asked. "That beanie doesn't suit you, you know? Why don't we take that ridiculous thing off?" Faye was about to take the beanie off of Amity, but the witch just backed off while narrowing her eyes at her.

"Do you really want to do that?" Amity asked.

"Amity, don't start anything." Luz requested gently as she took Amity's arm.

"Amity. Oh Luz, that's such a stupid name for a pale girlfriend." Amity was tempted to punch that girl in the face with an Abomination fist, but she managed to keep herself restrained. "So tell me, were you born this way or did you have a makeup disaster?"

"Faye, why don't you go bother someone else?" Luz suggested in an effort to bring peace.

"If one more word comes out of your mouth, I will destroy you." Amity threatened the bully.

"Amity!" Luz snapped at her girlfriend.

"Come on No-Ceda, let this pale weirdo do her best to destroy me." Faye requested.

"I have no idea what's more stupid, the fact that you insulted my girlfriend with the dumbest insult in the history of human kind or the fact your eyelashes are obviously fake." Amity's insult made the bully freeze while Luz stared at her girlfriend, waiting for when she might attack. "I mean, 'No-Ceda?' You know, just because you put a hyphen in-between the first two letters and the remaining letters of my awesome girlfriend's awesome last name, doesn't make you a genius. You're just a sad girl who hides her insecurities by bullying those who you consider below your grade."

Faye didn't have any words to use to make and she just stuttered while shifting her eyes. "Yeah….well….you're pale!"

"Huh, I thought you'd do better than that." Amity retorted. "Listen, why don't you do your thing and come back to us when you find an insult that is worth mine and my awesome girlfriend's time?"

Faye scoffed at Amity before walking off to do a Faye thing.

Amity turned to face her girlfriend, who was narrowing her eyes at Amity which was something that made Amity worry.

"Oh Titan, did I screw up?" Amity asked. "I'm sorry Luz, I didn't like the way she was making fun of us that way. I mean, it was just…" Then to Amity's surprise, Luz was laughing. Luz was laughing like she had seen the funniest thing she had ever seen in her life.

"Come back when you have an insult that is worth mine and my awesome girlfriend's time?" Luz laughed. "I'm sorry Amity, that was funny."

"You're not angry?" Amity asked in surprise.

"Well, little frustrated that you didn't ignore her, but I'm glad you didn't attack her." Luz replied.

"It was so tempting." Amity replied. "I was about to use my Abomination to punch her in the face."

Luz then chuckled. "Well, I'm glad you didn't." Luz then took Amity's hand. "Come on Amity, park gets boring after a while. Where would you like to go?"

"I wanted to try the arcades." Amity replied as she and Luz started walking. "Vee told me about them."

"Well, arcade it is." Luz announced proudly.

But unbeknownst to them, they were being followed by a familiar crazy conspiracy theorist hiding in the fakest bush anyone has ever seen.

"That demon is trying influence that poor girl." The crazy librarian said to himself. "Stupid shape changers!"

A couple of fun hours at the arcade later and Luz and Amity had exited with Luz holding a stuffed Azura in her arms and Amity wearing a plastic ring with a red diamond in the centre.

"Wow, I still can't believe you succeeded at a claw machine on the first go." Luz commented.

"I don't understand why the people of your realm have a problem with them." Amity said. "They're rather easy."

"They're not for me." Luz responded. "One time, I wasted all my lunch money on a claw machine just to win a stuffed polar bear."

Amity laughed as she took her girlfriend's hand again. "Sorry we didn't win enough tickets to get you what you wanted."

"Are you kidding Amity?!" Luz exclaimed. "I did get something." Luz then pulled out an eraser. "This fantastic eraser!"

"Luz, I am having the best time of my life right now." Amity said. "I mean, the human realm has such cool and unique things."

"Mmm hmm." Luz responded.

"If I was here on my own, I doubt I'd be having much of a greater time without you to help me out."

Luz blushed at the sentence while Amity and her tread down an alleyway where they didn't know that the crazy librarian was waiting for them behind a trash can.

"Are there anymore cool places here?" Amity asked.

"Maybe a few." Luz replied.

"She's gonna suck your soul!"

Just then, the crazy librarian jumped out from behind the trash can with a stake and wearing garlic around his neck like it was a necklace. "After all this time, I have found you!"

The two girlfriends stared at the man like they were intimidated at first, but then Luz realised who this was. This was the same crazy librarian that held Vee hostage until Camila rescued her and hit him with La Chancla.

"Amity, that's him." Luz whispered to her girlfriend.

"You mean the weirdo that held your sister hostage?"

"Oh, so there's two of you?" The librarian asked with keen interest. "That's great to know."

"Listen, whatever you want with Luz, I demand that you stay away from her!" Amity demanded.

"And I demand that you get away from that girl because she is a demon from Mars!" The crazy librarian demanded.

Amity took a deep breath while narrowing her eyes at the ridiculous man. "I'm sorry, what?"

"That's where demons are from!" The librarian exclaimed.

"Okay, firstly, I think you played too much video games." Luz said. "Second, you have a wooden stake and garlic around your neck! Are demons and vampires just different to you?"

"Enough, die demon!" The librarian started charging towards Luz, but stopped once Amity took off her beanie. Revealing her hair and pointy ears.

This sight made the man freeze and drop to the ground since he felt intimidated. "W-W-Are you an elf?"

"Wrong, I'm a witch." Amity then turned to face Luz, who acknowledged Amity and gave her girlfriend a nod.

"You think your pointy ears are gonna scare me?!" The librarian laughed. "I've seen many cosplayers with a lot more realistic ears than you!"

"No, my pointy ears aren't the thing that will scare you." Amity then drew her signature pink circle in front of her, which soon disappeared and closed her eyes. When the lavender haired girl opened them back up, her orange irises had turned green. Then, Abomination goop started slither all over her body which soon covered her all over, turning her into a large Abomination with multiple eyes all over.

The librarian started to move back as fast as he could but, Amity stretched her arms out and grabbed ahold of this monstrous man and pressed his back against a wall.

"I HAVE ONE THING TO SAY TO YOU!" Amity said while tightening her grip. "IF YOU COME ANYWHERE NEAR MY GIRLFRIEND OR HER SISTER OR ANYONE CLOSE TO HER, THEN I WILL DO SOMETHING SO NIGHTMARISH THAT WILL HAUNT YOUR DESCENDANTS FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES!"

"Yeah!" Luz replied.

"Okay! Okay! I'll keep this promise this time!" The librarian screamed.

"GOOD!" Amity then threw the librarian, causing him to crash into a trash can. He quickly got up and ran away from the girlfriends as fast as he could.

Once he had left, Amity turned back into her regular self and looked like she was about to fall. But luckily, Luz caught her by the arms and lifted one of her arms over her shoulder.

"Cariño, are you okay?" Luz asked.

"Exhausted." Amity replied while breathing very fast. "New powers…..cause exhaustion when….using them."

"Can you still walk?" Luz asked.

"I'm not sure." Amity responded while putting her beanie back on with the one arm that was still working, with Luz helping her straighten it out.

"Well, we got a few hours until the movie, anything you want to do?" Luz asked.

"I think I'd….like to go to your….house and rest."

"Of course, m'lady." Luz's response made Amity chuckle despite the exhaustion.

"Luz, I'm exhausted, don't make me laugh." Amity said while giving her girlfriend a weak smile.

Luz then started walking while carefully carrying Amity towards her home so she could get all the rest she needs after using her newfound abilities.

Later that evening, Luz, Amity, Camila and Vee had arrived to the theatre to see The Last Elementbender, directed by Michael Bay.

"You excited Luz?" Camila asked.

"I've been waiting too long for this movie!" Luz exclaimed excitedly. "Of course I'm excited!"

"So, I get this is something called an adaptation, do I need to watch the cartoon to get what's going on, or something?" Amity asked.

"Don't worry Amity, it's a summery of the first season, you'll understand it." Luz assured her girlfriend with her usual upbeat attitude.

"I mean, I haven't seen the series either but, I know it'll be good." Vee remarked. "I heard the director went to Last Elementbender school to learn things from the show. And apparently, he spent time there for 11 months."

"Huh, then it must be good if that man spent so much time there." Luz said.

103 minutes later.

The group exited the theatre with very disappointing expressions. I mean, despite liking the food and snacks, Amity felt somewhat disappointed with the final product.

"That wasn't a good movie." Luz said.

"Yeah, I'll say." Camila commented.

"No kidding." Amity replied.

"But were the effects decent?" Vee asked.

Later that night though, Amity knew she had to go back home to the Boiling Isles so Eda could take her in. I mean, Camila was great but Amity knew she'd have too much to handle if she decided to stay.

But luckily, Amity had bags of stuff for the people in the Boiling Isles she is pretty much close to at everyone's request.

Amity stood by the door to the demon realm ready to head off with Luz behind her just to say goodbye.

She turned to face her girlfriend who attacked her with a hug which Amity returned while kissing her forehead.

"I'll hopefully see you again Amity." Luz said, trying to remain strong.

"Me too." Amity replied. "I love you so much Luz."

"I love you too Amity Blight." Luz said. "You sure it was a good idea to buy your siblings the-"

"They'll love it." Amity said. "Even though, they might cause some chaos with it."

They soon pulled themselves out of the hug and stared into each other's eyes lovingly. They didn't want to say goodbye, but they knew they Amity had to get home.

Before Amity departed, she gave Luz a passionate kiss on the lips which she returned. They were at it for about 45 seconds before they departed and Amity walked through the door to get home.

Once Amity had left, Luz decided to make her way back home to confront her mother about what to do. Sure Luz made a promise to stay in the human realm once she got a working portal, but she didn't know if her Mom would let her stay to continue learning magic, making friends and spending time with her awesome girlfriend. Will she be alright with it?
