My three golden rules:

1) Always write something original.

2) Never allow others to force their ideas on your story.

3) Moderate only offensive reviews.

The rules i would like my readers to adopt:

1) Always explain your criticism if you actually want for the author to get better.

2) Feel free to let go of a work you were following if you don’t like it anymore.

3) Be part of the story by proposing possible futures.

What do I think about fanfiction:

-For me fanfiction is one of the greatest ways to show your love for a franchise or any kind of product, the worst thing you can do is not taking in account the rules of the world you are writing about.

ENGLISH ISN'T MY FIRST LANGUAGE

My evaluation for fanfictions:

-Trash tier: Disregard of basic rules of the world and normal interactions between characters, unreadable level of grammar, OCs without personality.

-Low tier: Basic understanding of the world and various mistakes in the personality of pre-existing characters (without any believable reason behind them), mediocre but understandable level of grammar, artificial construction of the plot.

-Mid tier: Good understanding of the world's mechanics (there could be minor errors but still they don't stick out like a sore thumb), believable and relatable characters (no cringe speeches or interactions without a meaning behind them), readable level of grammar and writing style.

-High tier: Almost perfect understanding of the world you write about (minor errors/details unnecessary for the story), very good portrayal of characters (nailing their mindset and personality almost perfectly), original plot (something no one wrote before or writing it in a very different way), enjoyable reading level of grammar (still some minor errors if it isn't your mother language), enjoyable pace and writing style.

-Masterpiece tier: Perfect understanding of the world you are setting your story in, original plot, perfect grammar (mother tongue or not), very good pace and impeccable writing style, nailing perfectly the characters and being able to develope them in a believable way, intriguing plottwists and scenarios, relatable events and characters.

(WARNING: Not all parameters must be satisfied for a story to be in a specific tier, we can still have a High tier story even without an original plot, but it must excel in every other parameter.)
