Everyone was lined up at the cliff of Beacon that overlooked a forest. Some were nervous, some were ready. Jace, BJ, Shelly, Jonas, Sonny, and a bunch of other students stood on silver tiles in front of a mug-holding Professor Ozpin and Glynda with her tablet.
Ozpin: For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.
BJ was excited, especially because he was a dog Faunus, he could finally get some sunshine.
BJ: Alright then! Bring it!
Glynda: Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today.
Ozpin: These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years.
Suddenly, there's a comedic record scratch.
BJ: Hold up, what you jus' say, big boss?
Jonas pats him on the back.
Jonas: He means that we gotta choose wisely and we're not assigned.
BJ: Oh great.
Ozpin: After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you WILL die.
Jace: Great, we're gonna be put through Hell.
Ozpin: Now, now, Mr. Lavender. This is not Hell. You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?
Everyone was as silent as crickets as they stood still. Jaune raises his hand.
Jaune: Yeah, um, sir?
Ozpin: Good! Now, take your positions.
Everyone stands on a tile and strikes a pose. Nora crouches low, Ren wields his weapons, Yang raises her fists, Ruby readies her body, Jace draws his sword and stabs it into the ground, BJ does a break-dance move and has both feet on the edge of the tile, Shelly takes out Rekka Daizantou and stands on it like a surfboard, Jonas takes out Bull Riot and readies it in its sheath, and Sonny tips his cowboy hat.
BJ: Hey buddy!
Jaune looks over at him.
BJ: Don't be an ass.
Soon enough, one by one, each student gets catapulted from the tiles.
Jaune: So, what exactly is a landing strateGYYYYYYYYYYY!
He gets hurled with the cloud of students now making their way down into the forest.
Jonas: So are we gonna do this thing?
BJ: Totally, dawg! LEZ GO!
As soon as Jace gets launched into the sky, so does BJ, Shelly, Jonas, and Sonny.
Shelly: FLYIN' TO THE HEAVENS!
Sonny: HERE WE GOOOO!
Meanwhile, Ruby crashes into a bird and plummets into the green trees.
Ruby: Birdie, nooooooo~!
She begins to fire her scythe as it hooks onto a tree and swings her to safety. Weiss, armed with Myrtenaster, summons a white snowflake circle under her and leaps off of it into the forest below. Ren descends and spins in the air, eventually using StormFlower's blades to spiral around the trunk of a large tree and hit the ground, brushing off his clothes before looking up to see Yang and the 5 colorful teens rush by like a rainbow.
Yang: Woo-hoo! Yeah! Alley-oop!
Yang soars right over the treetops like Iron Man, using her gauntlets and it's kinetic energy to push her through the air and crashes through the leaves before leaping off 2 trunks and tumble to the ground.
Yang: Nailed it!
Meanwhile, Sonny holds onto his hat while Jonas and Shelly fly by him.
Sonny: YEEEEEEEEEHAW!
Jonas: (random yodelling)
Shelly: LOOK OUT BELOOOOOOW!
Shelly uses her giant sword to land safely and slide a bit. BJ can be seen hanging upside down from a branch, scaring Shelly.
BJ: Heya, beautiful!
Shelly: Ah!
She is caught by a rocketing Jonas, who, like Yang, tumbles onto the grass field and just so happened to cushion Shelly's fall.
Jonas: You're welcome.
Sonny stabs his Star Gun-Sword into a trunk and hangs onto it, causing him to slide down slowly.
Sonny: Hey there, fellas.
And lastly, Jace plummets through a green tree and impales his sword, the DragoSaber, into the trunk. He tiptoes onto the sword and uses it as his stepping stone before stepping on a dangling Jaune's head and jumps off. He then proceeds to catch the DragoSaber.
Jaune (Rubs his head): Ow!
Jace: Not a scratch.
The 5 of them look at each other for a bit.
Jace: So I guess this makes us a team, then. Where do we go?
Shelly: Well, professor Ozpin told us to go north.
BJ: Well what are we waitin' for?! Let's go already!
The 5 of them begin to jog towards where the relics are located. Meanwhile, while Ruby had already made a partnership with Weiss, and Jaune with Pyrrha, and Ren with Nora, Yang is walking and looking around.
Yang: Hellooooooo? Is anyone out there? Helloooo? I'm getting bored here! (hears a rustling behind some bushes) Is someone there? Ruby, is that you? (Peaks in) Oh, wait, no. It's you guys! :)
The 5 emerge from the bushes.
All 5: Hey.
Suddenly, Shelly senses something weird. But then, as if a ghost was watching her, a mysterious voice warns her of something coming up behind her team.
Voice: Watch your back, Shelly!
Shelly turns around to see an Ursa.
Shelly: GUYS! WATCH OUT!
Shelly does a backflip and dodges the Ursa. She then uses the time to swipe the Rekka Daizantou at it, defeating the black shadowy bear.
Yang: You OK?
Shelly: Yeah.
The 6 of them all scramble and circle back up, their hands clutching their weapons. Suddenly, the 5 'chosen' teens begin to feel the same voices.
Voice: Jace, can you hear me?
Jace: Who are you?! Show yourself!
Voice: Do not panic, Jace. Open your eyes.
He does so and his eyes widen at the sight to behold. It was a man wearing a green spandex suit with golden linings and a black belt bearing a golden buckle that held a golden coin laser-engraved with a dragon's paw, along with a green helmet with an additional gold 'crown'. The helm also features a black visor and a silver-engraved 'mouth'. The helmet's theme was a dragon as the translucent figure approached Jace.
Jace: Are you the Dragon Ranger my father told once told stories to me about?
Dragon Ranger: Yes, it is I, the Dragon Ranger.
Dekamaster: And it is us, too, children.
Soon enough, the 5 teens began to see 4 more Sentai rangers surround them.
The first one was a man wearing a navy-black-red pattern of a spandex suit with a chestplate that marked 100 connected to a pair of tiny-bit extended shoulder pads and a navy blue helmet with elongated wolf ears in a similar manner to a wolf, a black visor, and a navy blue mouthplate.
The next person was a woman with a dark gray robe top with golden and blood-red outlines connected to a dark gray skirt and a pair of blood-red skin-tight pants, a pair of red boots with yellow on the cuffs and a dark red helmet with a black visor bearing the 火 kanji, outfitted with gold outlines.
The third one was a man wearing a set of black knight-like armor with rusted gold details and silver markings, a giant lime-green hexagon flipped vertically and located on his chest, along with a black cape that was red on the inside and extended down to his heels, and a black helmet that bore a silver mouthplate, 2 gold horns on the temples that resembled a bull, and a visor along with an emerald gem on the helm's forehead.
The fourth and final person was a man wearing a yellow-blue-black pattern of a spandex suit with a leathery brown belt and holster, a black-and-gold V-shaped bib that extended the shoulders a bit and extends right below to the chest, along with a gold-ish yellow helmet that bore a design of a cowboy hat and a star-shaped face visor underneath the hat and on the helmet's front surface/face.
BJ: Children? What are you even talkin' about, man?
Dekamaster: Do not fear. What we mean by children...
ShinkenRed: Is that you are the next generation...
BullBlack: To carry our legacies...
StarNinger: As a new Super Sentai team.
They then handed them their respective morphers/transformation devices. Jace was given the golden Dragon-Buckler with the same golden Dragon coin inserted in the buckle's slot, BJ was given the black-white-red SP Master License, Shelly was given the Shodophone in its cell phone form, Jonas' weapon, the Bull Riot, the blade began to retract and the remaining parts of his sword became Bull Riot's device form. It could now not only become a sword/a transformation device but it could also be converted into a rifle. Finally, Sonny was given the Ninja StarBurger and the yellow StarNinger Shuriken.
5 Sentai rangers: use your new gifts wisely, youngsters, for you have truly earned them to this day.
They began to fade away forever as now the teenagers held their powers in their gifts/devices. They were suddenly brought back to reality when they heard an Ursa roar along with other creatures of Grimm.
Yang: You guys wouldn't happen to have seen a girl in a red hood, would you? (Ursa merely growls at her) You could just say "no".
The Ursa then began to leap towards the 6 of them. In response, the 5 new hosts drew their weapons.
Jace: Alright guys! Let's take 'em!
Jonas: OK!
