Accidental Villain 10

After Ozpin leaves the cell Jaune waits for a while and twiddles his thumbs together, from Ozpins information it was clear that everyone was currently occupied right now but Jaune was still nervous that he might accidentally run into someone.

Just then the door opened up and a young boy stood there with bright green eyes as he smiled nervously at Jaune who smiled nervously back at him, unsure as to why there was a 13 year old staring at him right now.

"Hi."

"Hello there." Jaune replied, it was very clear right now that neither of them had any idea what to say next or what to really do next.

"So I'm supposed to lead you out of here right now so that Qrow can take you to the edge of the Emerald Forest." The young boy explained in a calm and reasonable voice.

Jaune just gulped. "Are you sure that Pyrrha is occupied right now? And that Weiss is as well? I feel like even though we were kind of friends in school she probably won't hold back on me to much even if I asked her too."

"Don't worry Jaune, Penny has run the scenarios and it all works out mostly in your favour." He said with a big smile on his face.

Jaune was now reassured; he knew that there would be some outcomes where he failed, he was a scientist after all so he too had considered the possibilities and just now had to believe in himself and hope that this was all going to lead to a good outcome. "What's your name?"

"Oscar Pine, Ozpin's apprentice."

"Now that's cool, so shall we get going?"

"Follow me Jaune."

As Oscar went to the door Jaune ran to one of the lockers on the walls and opened it up and grabbed his lab coat and then all of his other gadgets that had been removed from him and quickly reattached them to his arms and placed them back in his pockets.

He felt a lot, lot better with his trusty coat around him now, ready to take on all the challenges that life had to offer him… well maybe not correcting the coffee shop owner when he kept writing his name wrong, that was a step to far for him.

Oscar then walks calmly through the halls as Jaune is moving a lot more cautiously, eyes darting around and moving from cover to cover, making sure that his head was on a swivel; you could never be too careful.

"Okay this door should get you outside into the back alleyway, Ozpin's friend is waiting for you there."

"Thank you." Jaune then fixed Oscar with a happy look, which lasted a little longer than Oscar was used to.

"Uh what's up?" He asked perplexed.

"Oh, it's just that… most people I meet want to lock me up or hurt me, you're um, and you're a nice change of pace Oscar."

"Thanks, and if I want to be the next number 1 hero I have to be willing to help and give people chances."

"Yeah, yeah I guess you do. Hope I see you again Oscar, we can play some video games, or we can go watch a film, OH we can do an escape room."

"That sounds like fun! Yes please." Jaune then reached over and rubbed Oscars hair as the young boy then leaned into it with a content smile on his face.

"See you around." And then Jaune walked down into the dark alleyway as Oscar quickly turned around and shut the door behind him just as Penny appeared.

"Greetings friend Oscar, did I just miss Dr Arc? I was certain that I would have at least 4 seconds of time to initiate contact with him."

"Yep, just missed him, but that's okay Penny, I think we might have a new friend to play some games with us."

"Sensational! I will have to prepare some ideas for when you have 2 friends, this day is splendid!"

Meanwhile back in the training ring the members of team RWBY were all lying on their backs looking at the dim lights on the ceiling.

"Ruby?"

"Yes Blake?"

"Please don't invite us to train with Penny again."

"Ditto."

"I second that notion."

Ruby sighed, her body hurt in places she didn't know it could hurt. "Noted."

Jaune tripped over a bin as he was cover in complete darkness, it was just unfortunate really that the bin was placed in his path, although he reasoned that it was probably his fault for stepping there. As he picked himself up, Jaune then noticed a tiny bit of movement out of the corner of his eye and that was when a figure appeared out of the dark and there stood Qrow Branwen, the man that had gotten into the top 10 without entering a hero agency, without any sidekicks, without any equipment made from any support agencies and without graduating in the top percentage from Beacon. Even if Jaune didn't know as much about heroes as he did when he was younger and before he had discovered science, the legend of Qrow Brawnwen was still enough to get anybody's attention.

Jaune gulped, because if he was here then Jaune was not escaping.

"You Arc?"

"Um yes sir."

"Drop the sir shit, just call me Qrow, sir makes me feel way to old. Now Oz wants you taken somewhere and I suggest we do that quickly, because I don't want to tangle with Goodwitch… if she finds out what I am doing, well I don't think either of us want that."

"Uh si-Qrow I'm not worried about Miss Goodwitch, I'm actually more worried ab-"

Just then the wall behind Jaune exploded open as Cardin was smashed through it and he tumbled down into the alleyway with a loud thud and an even louder groan of pain, which then turned into a growl as he tried to push himself up from the floor, but was stopped as a large metal bin was slammed onto his back… the bin coated in a black aura.

And there in the gap in the wall stood Pyrrha, her beautiful red hair blowing in the light breeze and her eyes fixed on Jaune, who smiled weakly at her and gave a shaky wave.

"Yep, redheads, let's go Arc." And then Qrow grabbed Jaune and easily pulled him onto the back of his bike and they went off like a rocket, or they would have if Pyrrha wasn't holding the metal in-place so the bike could go nowhere.

Qrow wasn't having any of that however and without even looking back at her he throw a ball which bounced and then smacked her right in the face, distracting her so that they could get away.

Pyrrha recovered quick enough but was shocked as she saw the ball coming but her reflexes failed her, moreover she did not get a look at the man that had just helped Jaune escape from her – from his cell!

The last person to have any contact with Jaune was Ozpin! Could he have helped Jaune break out? She very quickly raced back through the halls and spotted Penny, the curious girl who was the only person that Pyrrha met that could beat her in hand to hand, it was like she learned everything at the speed of the world's greatest computer.

Penny was currently stood with another young, dark skinned boy with brilliant green eyes, she thought that maybe they had the same hint of gold she sometimes spotted in Ozpin's eyes. He was around Ruby's height and if she had to guess maybe a year or so younger than Ruby, and there was Ozpin who had his hand on the young boy's shoulder with a proud smile on his face.

Pyrrha stopped a few meters away from them and quickly hid out of sight so she could overhear what they were saying, she hoped this wasn't her being rude but actually following a hunch she had.

"-Job both of you, you have played your parts well and the rest is up to Dr Arc now."

"Sir do you really think that he can pull this off?"

"I am sure of it Oscar, and I don't doubt he will be back in no time."

"After running the numbers it would seem that the odds of success are indeed stacked against him, most of the possible scenarios would suggest that he will not be successful."

"That might be true Penny, however for ever scenario that shows itself to Jaune where he is not successful, Dr Arc simple learns more to make the one where he is. He only needs one chance."

"I see, then I wish him all the best of luck and when he returns we can play video games like I have read about." Pyrrha did not like that, if Jaune was to play these so called video games with anyone it would be with her… but he was going to prison!

"Sir MT Glenn is a labyrinth, how do you expect him to find what he is looking for?"

"There is more to that young man than meets the eye… something ALL of us know." Pyrrha quickly pulled her head back around the corner, she could have sworn that she saw Ozpin's eyes move over to where she was behind cover but it could have just been her imagination.

So he was headed to MT Glenn, well then if he thought he could escape her so easily like he had every other time then he was in for… a really strong talking to! Yes she would let him have a real lecture once she had caught up to him! Once she had the others on her side she would head out and together they could take him down and bring him back to his cell, and on the way she would be giving him a very stern talking to.

Jaune very quickly realises that he is not a big fan of bikes, it seems that his motion sickness activates if he is not the person that is driving the vehicle, he had already throw up twice now behind Qrow along the trail through the woods, just his typical luck.

It wasn't helped from the sharp turns and random jumps that Qrow was doing along the way or when he very suddenly and violently skidded to a very sudden halt and jumped off the bike with Jaune following him on much more shaky legs.

"It's through the trees up there, get moving Arc."

"T-t-thanks." He stammered out as he slowly hobbled away, he wished he looked more into a making stronger motion sickness pill instead of accidentally making rage inducing pills with subconscious mind control, he would really need to double check his formula.

Qrow then turn to watch the figure crawl out of the woods and stand up, tail twitching and creaking as the monstrous grin was featured on his face, purple eyes roaming over Qrow's body.

"Hello old friend."

"Tyrian."

"All those years together, working, partnered up, enjoying in the heights of friendship and you just call me… Tyrian."

"I should call you worse for what you've done."

"Oh please, they were never going to be exceptional pro's, you should be thanking me."

"I'm going to kill you."

"Now that's not very heroic."

"Well you are passed the heroic treatment."

"And yet you still tal-" Qrow lunged

Jaune scrambled up the little hill and made his way through the destroyed section of the once nice mountain city. Years ago these streets were filled with life and cars but now it was a ghost town and the sight of one of the largest battles between heroes and villains in the whole of Remnant.

The city had been destroyed because of a 3 way battle that had started between the forces of Salem, Cinder and Hazel and a disagreement between Adam Taurus and the White Fang. They had started with a meet up to discuss business between the 2 groups, but it had quickly become an explosive battle that jumped out on to the streets. The police that responded were quickly dealt with as Cinder incinerated they with laughter and malice, even a few new heroes were quickly killed and that was when Ozpin, Goodwitch, Maria Calavera and Amber Autumn arrived.

They had attempted to contain it and keep it small, and the disaster to a minimum, however after Salem had levelled a city block that plan went out of the window. They had done so much damaged before Ozpin managed to smash Salem through into the mountain and into a cavern where she couldn't do any more damage, at this point as well Amber had matched Cinder's fire and the 2 were in a battle in the sky trying to outdo each other's power. Meanwhile Glynda had taken on the entire White Fang, cementing herself as a true powerhouse and earned herself the number 2 spot.

The battle had ended with a lot of the villains being taken into custody, most noticeably Salem had been taken down by Ozpin and with a helping hand of Maria, and Adam who had been beaten by Glynda and her overwhelming power. Cinder had managed to escape from Amber, leaving a lot of the roofs of buildings burned and Hazel had smashed through several buildings to make his escape, the battle had left its mark and Ozpin was injured from the fight with Salem and Maria had been moved up to the position of number 3.

One of the only buildings that was still intact even after the remnantquake inducing match between Salem and Ozpin was Merlots old skyscraper, it was the original business headquarters and housed a great deal of laboratory space among its many floors, Jaune knew this from research into the business before he started at the company.

The reason nobody had ever tried to move back into the town was because the entire area was standing on very shaky foundations after the battle and over the years since numerous tremors had occurred knocking down the buildings. Jaune did enjoy learning about remnantquakes and the cause of most of them, it might have been more geology but it was still a science of sorts.

Heading into the main reception of the base of the building Jaune looked around at the dusty area, this was the only building that was still standing after all this time and the only one that he had walked past that even had no broken glass. Looking around the area he couldn't see any obvious signs of an underground layer but he imagined that he could possibly find some sort of secret entrance provided that he was uninterrupted.

"Did you really think I would let you get away so easily?" Came an angelic voice from behind Jaune, causing him to turn around to face Pyrrha, her scarlet hair had a few twigs in it and there were a few scratches across her muscular arms, her armour even had a bit of dirt splattered on the shins and on her knees like she had run all the way here after Qrow's bike.

"Pyrrha! Fancy running into you here, how are you?" Jaune asked with a smile on his face, nervously twitching and looking around the room, trying to spot any secr – ah there it was, such an obvious place as well.

"W-why do you always ask that!? I won't be swayed by your-"

"Pyrrha focus." Came the calm voice of that dark haired guy with the pink stripe, Ren if Jaune remembered correctly.

"Come on Renny, let the love blossom." The short pink one said, this one scared Jaune if he was being honest; did her electric absorbing semblance have an upper limit? And even if it did could she release it like a sith lord?

"No Nora, we have a job to do."

Nora, he now had a name to go with the terrifying force of nature.

"Uh I only ask because of the scratches on your arms, did you run all the way here?"

"W-w-what makes you think I would be that desperate to just get a hold of you?"

"Yes she did." Nora said as she suddenly appeared at Pyrrha's side and wrapped an arm around her waist. "You should of seen her move, we all followed in my truck but she was off like a…a…"

"Rocket?" Jaune supplied

"YES! Oh we are going to be such good friends."

"He's the bad guy Nora."

"Oh right, sorry the static is hitting my brain cells still. Those neurons are firing way too quickly for me, my depth perception was also off while I was driving, I might have knocked over a tree on the way here."

"Oh that doesn't sound good."

"Meh, not the first time. Besides Pyrrha scared a small family of dear so we are even."

"But how did you get passed Qrow?" Jaune asked as he was sure the experienced pro could handle 3 trainee heroes, no matter if Pyrrha was an awesome warrior amazon woman… Jaune might be praising her to much but she was really cool.

"He is locked in battle with Tyrian and team RWBY are assisting him right now."

"You should probably go and help him, with you there Pyr then it would be over in a heartbeat." Jaune said with pride in her abilities as his eyes wondered over to the far wall and a big grin took on his face, even though the smile wasn't at her she still felt the effects of it and blushed a little, Nora getting a good look at the red spreading across her cheeks and even onto her chest.

"Wow he is a smooth talker isn't he." Nora whispered to Pyrrha as she shut down for a second. Ren just sighed, he sometimes wondered if he got paid enough to deal with all these shenanigans and maybe he would have been better off simply becoming a chef like he considered before Nora wanted to become a hero… no way that he was going to let her go into any dangerous area without him being there for her.

"Anyway I have a little favour to ask of you guys; could you leave so I can test out a theory of mine?"

"We are not going anywhere."

"Okay cool, well if you want to see something that I presume to be awesome then I suggest pulling that leaver on the wall to see where we go."

"I'LL DO IT!"

Nora jumped over when she reached the wall she looked around it trying to spot the leaver that Jaune was talking about. "To your left, behind the clock."

"How can you be so sure?"

"FOUND IT."

"Because that's where I would put it, and if Merlot pretends to be as smart as I actually am then I knew exactly where it was going to be."

The entire reception area then creaks and groans as it then starts to descend below the ground, with and identical reception area then take its place, making anybody from the outside who just witnessed this change want to shake their head in complete confusion. As the group rode the reception down into the depths of the mountain they spotted 4 giant mechanical monsters dotted around an extremely large laboratory floor.

"Okay, uh I feel comfortable admitting that Ozpin didn't know that he was hiding this much." Jaune said as he turned his back to the heroes and observed out across the space. He was then joined side by side with Pyrrha as she too stared in awe and curiosity about what was happening here.

"What is all this?" she asked quietly as Ren and Nora reached her side and the 4 looked out as the reception elevator reached the bottom, the giant robots now all towering over them.

"This is enough to bring destruction across all of Remnant." Ren said, unable to keep the little crack out of his voice, nobody said anything about it because they all believed very much the same as him.

"This, this is what I am here to stop, I managed to stop him at the lab when he was working on the rage drugs, but this right here… this is the real deal and it all needs to go." Jaune said as he looked into Pyrrha's eyes and then Ren's and then Nora's before glancing back down at the floor.

"There has to be more to this, Dr Merlot has been on our side for our entire careers and long before that as well, longer even than some of the pro heroes… it cannot be what you say it is." Pyrrha shook her head in disbelief and then let out a little gasp as Jaune quickly reached forward and grabbed both of her hands, looking straight into her eyes, something he very rarely did as she read from his school records and teacher reviews that eye contact and speaking with feeling to people was difficult.

"Pyrrha I do not know you that well and I would really like to by the way, but over the time that you have been trying to capture me you have tried so hard to see the good in me. So please believe me right now; this whole place needs to go, if he launches those robots then a lot of people are going to get hurt and even more are going to die. Merlot only cares about seeing the results of his work, not if there is anybody else to see them, so please help me Pyrrha, you are my only hope."

Pyrrha flushed a little more and let out a small breath at being so close to Jaune, seeing the pure passion and belief behind was invigorating and she felt inspired and powered by each word that he gave to her. There was such belief behind them that she would have believed him if he chose to tell her that the sky was now green; she realised in that moment that he had never been the villain, he had only been a victim.

"I'm sorry Jaune, I should have listened more to you."

"Well you're listening now." He smiled at her and she smiled back, the moment was peaceful between them after so many weeks of fighting.

"So are we making a bomb or something?" Ren asks out of the blue as Jaune drops Pyrrha's hands, eyes moving at a million miles an hour and Pyrrha stiffens up and can feel her heart beating in her very throat.

"Y-yeah I can blow it up, shouldn't be a problem with what I have here."

BZZZT

"Ah Dr Arc, I thought you more of a negotiator than another mindless explosion happy brute." Merlots voice echoing around from the speakers in the large lab.

"Hey!" Nora protests.

"Merlot! Show yourself! What is the meaning of all this?" Pyrrha yelled, adopting the classic hero pose with her hands on her hips.

"And Pyrrha Nikos, I expected someone of your reputation to be… more controlled."

"Well you… you uh, you have been lying! Yes you are a lying liar… who lies!"

Nora giggles slightly as Jaune looks very confused, Ren simply groans as he puts his face in his palms and mutters out. "Please don't quit your day job Pyrrha."

"Now I apologise heroes if these are not full up to your power, there are still a few things I need to work out before they can fully orchestrate my design, but I believe this will be a suitable test run."

"He's just saying words now." Nora said to Ren, who gave a Ren smile, which basically meant that nobody but Nora could see it.

"After they have dealt with you, then I shall send them to get rid of Qrow, hopefully they should be enough to occupy his attention long enough for Tyrian to actually do what I paid him for."

The 4 giant robots all powered up with large hums and took a few steps, standing ominously above them, one raised a large fist and punched down with great force to where they were once stood however Ren and Nora had leapt acrobatically away and were running in one direction and Jaune had been thrown by Pyrrha in the other direction.

Pyrrha allows herself to let out a confident grin, these monstrosities are made entirely out of metal and that works out well for her, they might be larger than anything she has tried to control before but that just means she will have to go beyond her limits.

She thrusts her hands out to hopefully topple them all over but finds her grip on them slipping and only able to wrap around the one giants fist, not stopping it but slowing it down before her hands pressed into it. Muscles straining and her heels scrapping against the ground she is slowly being forced back to the wall.

Jaune spots Ren as he flips out of the way of a stomp from another giant robot and then he spies Nora punch at its ankle, managing to take off a good chunk of steel and that's when he has a great idea and preps his wrist band to deliver a large shock.

"NORA!" She turns her head over to where Jaune is and spots his arm out stretched to her and she instantly grins and runs towards him. "LIGHTNING ARC!" He yells out as he shoots all of his pellets at Nora, hitting her in the chest, and knocking her over and then he activates them causing her to convulse on the floor much to Merlots confusion from the observation room.

"Why Jaune, who knew you had such a sadistic streak in y-" He was cut off as he watched the short ginger stand back on her feet with flames of lightning streaking off her body, making her hair stick up and her veins glow a brilliant yellow colour and then turn bright white as it showed how hot she had gotten.

"Time to smash." She then moved with a thunder crack as she appeared above Pyrrha who was trying to push the arm back to avoid getting crushed but was freed by Nora simple kicking it into tiny pieces with a war cry so loud and powerful Pyrrha herself felt charged and energised.

"THUNDER THIGHS!"

With one of the robots arms now removed and in pieces Nora then jumped and punched a hole straight through its chest and forcefully turning it off. She then watched as her Ren was trying to avoid the slams of another robots fists and feet and she quickly zipped over and ripped the robots massive head off and crunched it into a Frisbee that she used to slice the giants body in half down the middle.

She felt powerful, like a Goddess of Thunder, like nothing could hold her back. She was unaware right now that the electricity was marking her body, scaring her and causing her such pain. But Ren was and he could see the pain flying off her body in bright colours and he was scared for her, and so was Jaune who could see the physical toll it was having on her in that moment.

"NORA! YOU NEED TO RELEASE THE ENERGY NOW!" Ren cried to his partner and she looked at him with a faraway gaze, Ren never yelled like that. But if Ren was telling her to let go of the power then it was for a good reason, so she turned to face the third giant robot that raised its foot and she held out her arms and doing a move that she had practiced before with little static shocks she cupped her hands together and pushed away.

"Release." She said quietly as all the power in her body blasted up and decimated the giant robot, turning it into melted metal that pooled along the ground, a hot burning pool that Nora almost fell face first into if Ren hadn't caught her and moved her over to where Pyrrha and Jaune were stood looking at her in awe, Ren couldn't even keep the look of amazement off his face either.

"Nora I'm so sorry, I didn't know it would hurt you so much." Jaune said as he very quickly pulled out flask of water from his coat and a long bandage of his own design; it would stretch over the whole body in every direction and when in contact with skin it would start to cool the skin of burn victims.

"I-it's okay, guess now we know my limit, huh Renny?"

"Yes, I guess we do, you were amazing Nora."

"Thanks… I'm gonna nap now…" And the Nora promptly passed out as Jaune then very quickly brought up his portable screen and checked her vitals.

"She is all good, the bandages are already cooling down the scars and the water has added vitamins and electrolytes to increase muscle recovery." Jaune promised Ren as he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Please don't shock her again." He begged slightly as Jaune nodded in agreement, which quickly turned into alarm as the final robot tried to step on them only for Pyrrha to grab them and pull them out of the way, Ren took off with Nora in his arms and sprinted away from the battle as Pyrrha then started to pull off pieces of metal as she was unable to control the whole limb, let alone the whole robot.

With Pyrrha occupying the robots attention Jaune was racing around the lab picking up what he needed to make a quick electromagnetic bomb to shut it down, the robot in turn then tries slapping at Pyrrha with both arms and she has to use both her hands to hold them back and she falls to her knees under the stress of exerting herself on so much metal that is resisting her.

"Enjoying what pure Tungsten is like Miss Nikos? I will admit this machine was made for someone far stronger than your current level, specifically Glynda Goodwitch. After observing you it would appear your power is much more suited to much smaller scale and finer control, than manipulating massive structures… shame really."

Just as Jaune gathers the last thing he requires he spots the robots eye slit light up and he drops everything that he is holding to cup his mouth. "PYRRHA IT'S A LASER!"

She very quickly drops the arms and summons a metal sheet to shield her as the laser blast hits her with extreme force and sends her flying back across the room and smashing over a lab table.

"PYRRHA!" Jaune cries as he races over to her at a speed he didn't think he could possibly do, the moment he reaches her he activates his energy shield which takes the next laser blast a lot better than the metal that Pyrrha used.

Jaune picks up Pyrrha in his other arm and she clutches at his arm and looks into his eyes. "I'm sorry Jaune, I thought I was strong enough."

"You are Pyrrha, you're the strongest person I know, the strongest person I have ever met and the best of all of us. But you are not an island, everyone needs help and you are hurt so let me help you."

As Jaune had been holding her, Pyrrha had felt her body warm up and thought it was just the proximity of being close to him but in actual fact it was something else entirely. When he started his speech his body had taken on a soft white glow and he had been speaking to her the light had grown stronger and was covering her up now, healing the burn mark and making her feel better, stronger… powerful.

The robot stopped its laser blast and went to stomp on the duo but this time around Pyrrha was sure of herself and she punched her hand out and with a black aura surrounding the robot she lifted it high in the air and crushed it down part by part as it was mushed into a tiny ball of metal.

"YES! I knew you could do it Pyrrha, I told you, you were amazing." Jaune said with glee as he smiled at Pyrrha.

"No Jaune." Pyrrha replied as she held up his hand, the white glow still visible. "This was you, I guess I really couldn't do it alone."

"No-one should Pyrrha… also I have no idea how I am doing this, so I'm operating strictly on faith right now." Pyrrha giggled slightly and then helped Jaune stand up, his arm was still wrapped around her waist and she found that she liked that; it was soothing. Especially at this moment when she felt that she was strong enough to bench press a plane.

"Well, well, well Dr Arc… all that time we spent trying to work on a semblance enhancing drug and here you were the whole time, hiding this power deep inside of you… oh the experiments I am going to run on you."

"Not a chance!" Pyrrha yelled back as her and Jaune were then joined by Ren who was holding a still passed out Nora, Jaune then placed his other glowing hand on her head and the energy spread into her and she let out a pleasant groan as she stirred slightly in Ren's arms.

"I make the rules in this laboratory Miss Nikos, but for now I hope you enjoy something of my own creation, it took a lot of effort for me to construct this next project… mind control has always been a fascination of mine and I made just the device; and I found – well not a willing test subject but a subject all the same."

The large doors at the other side of the lab opened up and a lone figure walked through with a bright green crown resting on her platinum blonde locks, her beautiful features completely passive; much like how Pyrrha knew she was before but right now it was empty instead of calm and it scared her because she knew the person striding towards them right now.

Arslan Atlan stood before them and if Pyrrha was a betting person, she would bet that soon she would be standing over them…

Alternate Universe (Remnant ONE, Okay I will be honest; here at the universal records office we started on letters but you know how the multiverse is, so we had to go to numbers after we exhausted every 3 letter combination and realised it was just going to go on and on.)

"I'm sorry Ruby… I-I can't do this anymore… I quit."

"Jaune." Ruby softly says as the tall blond removes his basic domino mask and bright red coloured gloves.

"All I do is cause problems and then you guys have to swoop in and clean up my messes… you would be better off with my sister." Jaune said bitterly as he removed his white spandex suit

4 Months later…

An axe splits through a log of wood sending splinters flying across the grass, Jaune sighs and grabs the 2 halves before tossing them onto the pile, he had built up a considerable amount of lumbar but it was needed as most of the village people had requested fire wood for when the winter came around.

Jaune admires the log pile that is almost as tall as he is and thinks how he is going to have to spend another day getting it all on to his cart before he can take it down to everyone's houses, he always used to make sure that he would go to them instead of them coming to him, he knew how heavy the logs could get when you had to carry 6 or 7 at a time.

"-And Yang finally lays the mighty beast low; marking another impressive victory for our beloved heroes, they have been on a streak like no other for the last 4 months. It's like something was holding the-" Jaune shut off the radio and hefted the axe on his shoulder before swinging it into the large wooden base he was using to cut all of the other logs on. He wasn't bitter, he knew exactly what had been holding them back and he was honestly happy for his past teammates being able to let loose and do more now that he was back on the farm… didn't mean he slept any easier though.

The next morning Jaune was pulling the large cart filled with the small mountain of logs that he had cut into the centre of his village, he knew that the bakery was the first place to open up so he always made sure to make the rounds there to give them fuel for their ovens, but today he saw a group of 5 men wearing dark suits and 1 wearing bright white standing outside the front door with old Mr Mellark, Jaune always liked Peeta, he was a kind man.

"So you want to play it that way do you? Boys." Jaune watched as one of the suits pulled his fist back and struck him in the stomach and Mr Mellark feel to the ground.

"See you need to learn some manners, when given an opportunity you should always take it." As the suit made to punch him again Jaune was already there and grabbed his arm before he could hit him.

"I feel the same way, now leave him alone and continue with your business elsewhere." Jaune said as he moved so he was still holding the arm of the suit but now in-front of Mr Mellark who wobbled back through his front door.

"Young man, this does not concern you." The white suit said as the man in Jaunes grip yanked his arm back and rubbed the spot where Jaune had been squeezing. Jaune was taller than all of them and while his muscles might not be steroid enhanced big, they were still strong from years of hard farm work and rigorous exercise to push him to the best shape possible.

"It does when I can see someone getting hurt; I can't just watch that… besides the cheese buns here are fantastic."

The moment Jaune had said the last word the suit in-front of him had punched him around the face making him smack against the door and then tried to hold him against the door; a second had then grabbed his arm and tried forcing it out and away from his body making it an easy target to damage. They struggled a lot against each other before Jaune then kicked him in the shin hard and as he lost grip on his arm, Jaune struck him in the throat and then slammed his head into the brick wall.

Jaune strikes the man holding him up against the wall in the ribs and then head butts him breaking his nose, he then kicks off the door and smashes the guy into the ground where he lies motionless with a groan leaving his lips.

The third, fourth and fifth all step up and one of them kicks him in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him and another grabs his hair and the last punches him across the face making him sprawl across the ground, Jaune then rolls with it and get on to one shaky knee as he brings his arm up and blocks a kick, wrapping his arms around it and remembering a move he saw on TV years ago and throwing himself into a roll still holding the leg, he hears a wet crack and a sharp scream of pain.

And then there were 2…

Jaune stands and raises his fists, blood coming from his lip and nose, with his eye having a bruise forming under it already, he always did bruise easily. They both race towards him and Jaune ducks under the first punch and punches back in the stomach area, he then gets tackled around the waist and takes a few steps back before kneeing upwards and elbowing downwards and then flinging the suit to the side.

Jaune was now back next to his cart of logs and when the last suit raced towards him Jaune threw a log and smacked him around the face and that was all the black suits down for the count, with Jaune needing an ice pack or 2 for his aches. A cane then swung and smacked the side of his head sending him stumbling as it then hit his back forcing him onto his stomach.

"I would say impressive showing but when you compare it to anybody else… you're a bit pathetic aren't you? I mean if you are my only obstacle for running this town then this is going to be easier than I could have imagined." He swung upwards with his cane as Jaune was on his hands and knees, hitting him under the chin and knocking him on his back.

Roman watched as the young blond crawled away from him towards a statue in the centre of the village, it was holding a stone sword and shield. He had good intentions but a poor performance, shame really; Roman could use someone with his heart and character in his organization.

They were now bellow the statue and Jaune had stood up and was leaning on the shield, eyes closed as he panted through his breathes, adrenaline slowly wearing off. "Well nice knowing you."

Roman then reeled back and swung his cane towards Jaune's head, but while the adrenaline had been wearing off Jaune had time to think clearly and unhook the shield from the statue, and thus the cane smacked against the raised stone shield. Jaune then swung it around and threw it with all his force smacking into Romans chest and knocking him down.

Roman wheezes on the ground as Jaune hobbles over the top of him and looks down at the man beneath the shield. They look at each other for a few moments until Jaune lifts the stone shield off of him.

"Just leave us be… and while you're at it, do something nice for someone else for a change instead of beating on old men."

"W-what? – Go ba-ack to the city with its freaks… and their powers?" The white suited man laughed and coughed at the limping Arc. "The games changed young man, and I'm changing the rules."

A police siren echoed as the car pulled up behind Jaune. "You should have changed them quicker."

As the hand cuffs were passed out, Jaune watched as the man now identified to him as Roman Tourchwick was walked up the ramp into the heavy duty police van. He stopped as he noticed Jaune stood off to the side, leaning against the wall and called out to him. "Will we die, just a little."

Turns out Roman was an up and coming crime lord in the city whose activities had been in a decline since Ruby and the others had kicked it up a gear 4 months ago. Also here with the extra police was Achilles himself, this would be the first time Jaune had actually seen him in person; he was tall, short red hear, apple green eyes and olive skin that was clear and unblemished. In short he was the most beautiful man that Jaune had ever seen in his life… and he was now right in-front of Jaune.

"Hello."

'Okay Jaune time to bring the a game of flirting even if you have no chance, say you like his hair short' "Your hair is short." 'Fucking nailed it you donkey.'

"I-I-I recently had to cut it for burn damage; why does it look bad? Do you not like it? Oh god I've wanted to meet you for so long but there was never a good time, Ruby always talked about you and how kind you are and I never got to meet you but you have no powers and still made it into the league." Achilles looked so in awe of him that Jaune couldn't stop the blood rushing to his face. "I have never heard of someone so determined to prove himself, its inspiring."

Nobody said anything for a minute as Achilles had his hands under his chin looking at Jaune with what he hoped were love me eyes.

"Do you want to have dinner with me at my farm?"

...

Brian... I might just fire him... however that universe is one of my favourite ones, so I will let him off and just clean up his mess.

Achilles is Pyrrha in case anyone needed that confirmed, and if you can't tell I have fun writing these little one offs.

But on the subject of the main story bit of a cliff hanger to end it on, now I can hear the comment complaints that Pyrrha could have destroyed those robots easily or something like that, but look at her last battle with Cinder, the strain of holding the clock and moving the elevator and I'm talking Kaiju level monster robots, Nora is different because with the amount of force she can pack into a small area to deliver massive damage that is stored up its like One For All at 100% but only used in bursts, also Ren's is not combat special but he is still Ren.

And I already know someone is going to be thinking that Pyrrha has got this against Arslan, but she is going up against a fire user, trying not to hurt her friend, not get her friends hurt, and not hurt herself, plus she can't stay in contact with Jaune for a permanent power boost and she has strained herself against the robots previously, give the girl some slack, she is facing a fresh opponent.
