A/N WARNING: SPOILERS TO BATTLEWORLD AHEAD.
"My name is Lane Evans. For years, I've been living a life, thinking I was missing something. But then a Crisis struck my planet: Earth-S. I was flown from my world and onto a new world where I met the Legends of Tomorrow on Earth-65. A group of people who have been charged with protecting history from rogue time travelers..."
They hear a thud, causing everyone to scream and look to the main window and see a Lane Evans against the window.
"Ew." Sara comments on the corps on their window.
The man was somewhere around their age, wearing what looked to be a cross between Indiana Jones and Han Solo attire.
"Wipers! Get it off." Stein pleaded when they watched as the man outside, stuck in an area with no oxygen, no gravity, nothing gasps awake, eyes opening up as wide as they could before closing and falling unconscious yet again.
Lane Evans has been discovered.
While they were distracted by that, a breach opened and Murder Machine exits, not setting off any of the alarms.
They quickly used Peter and Ray's Atom suit to quickly bring the man inside and bring him to the medical bay where Gideon starts looking over him.
"How is this dude even alive out there?" Ray wonders.
"He's not a dude." Mick stated. "You're a dude. This is a man. A muscular man."
"I'm muscular." Ray stated.
"You kidding, Ray?" Peter asks. "I could beat you in an arm wrestling without my super strength."
"Gideon, who is he?" Rip asks the ship's computer.
"I'm not entirely sure, Captain." Gideon confesses. "He doesn't seem to be a part of any timeline."
"Is he a Time Master?" Ray wonders.
"No, all of the Time Masters were destroyed when we destroyed the Oculus." Rip reported.
"So, where the hell did he come from?" Jax wonders.
"I have absolutely no idea." Rip confessed.
"Anyone getting a sense of Deja vu?" Peter asks them. "A stranger appearing out of nowhere, no previous location?"
"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing." Sara agreed with Peter, remembering Emily Still herself.
"This is a real wakeup call for me." Ray realizes. "I should get back into shape. I'll get Gideon to make me a Bowflex. I'm gonna commit. Go start lifting some dumbbells."
"You can't eat dumbbells." Mick warns him.
Sara looked over the unconscious man and looked at his toned muscles. "He doesn't look to be very fit, but he seems to take care of himself."
"Ms. Lance, please stop massaging his arm." Rip asks of her as Sara drops his hand with a sigh. "Let's try and get some answers. Gideon, wake him up." He tells the computer who did something and causes the man to wake with a gasp.
Lane then stumbled to his feet as nobody tries to hold him back as he stood up and caught his breath and grabbed onto the doorframe and felt the surge of memories return to his mind.
"I...I remember." Lane whispers in shock as a smile appeared on his face as he looks at the reflective surface of the Waverider to look over himself back in his normal attire. "I can't believe it." He then felt like he was being watched as he turned around and saw the Legends all pointing their weapons at him.
Peter was holding his hands out as they both had web shooters on them, Sara had her staff out and ready to strike, Ray had a blaster from his suit up and ready to fire, Jax and Stein were ready to merge and strike, Mick was just sitting in the chair without a care in the world eating his sandwich.
"Who the hell are you guys?" Lane asks them.
"After meeting more heroes throughout the multiverse tasked with stopping the Batman Who Laughs and I was given back my memories of being a member of a group known as the Warriors of the Multiverse back, and putting everything back in place, I asked to join the Legends crew.
Sara lance, former member of the League of Assassins.
Dr. Raymond Palmer, who built a technological suit and is called the Atom.
Mick Rory, former criminal now time-hero known as Heatwave.
Firestorm, the merged super form of Jefferson Jaxson and Martin Stein.
Then the youngest of the group, a young boy with amazing skills, Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man.
And under the leadership of Rip Hunter, we are left to protect all of history on Earth-65.
We are the Legends of Tomorrow."
One week (technically) after Battleworld
The team has just gotten back after the most recent mission of fixing an anachronism and were strolling through the halls of the Waverider.
"Putting another successful mission down in the books." Ray says with a smile as the team roams the halls.
"I still can't believe what we learned about Abraham." Peter comments as he removes his mask.
"Yeah, I'm never looking at a penny the same way again." Lane agrees. "So, where to next?"
"Gideon and I have calculated a 96% likelihood of another aberration in Bhopal, 1912." Stein tells them.
"Why can't it be Aruba, 2016?" Mick questions.
"For real. We've been going non-stop for the past six months, not to mention the whole recent Battleworld thing." Jax agrees with Mick for once.
"Nobody wants to address the fact that our most recent mission had Cardinal Richelieu's men with armed laser guns?" Sara asks them, sounding like Deja Vu to a few but ever since Battleworld, most of their memories have been twisted to for events that occurred during or before Battleworld.
"Clearly provided to them by a time pirate or some such." Stein takes a guess as they make it into the main room, and they still haven't gotten used to the new look that S.H.I.E.L.D. of Earth-616 redesigned after the destruction.
"I agree with Grey Hairs." Lane agrees as he makes sure his blaster wasn't clogged up. "We need to find out who, so-"
"You can get another chance to destroy the very history that you were supposed to be protecting?" Rip asks them with a stern angry look.
"Ah, I knew we forgot something. The part where Rip tells us everything that we did wrong." Ray says.
"As in seducing the Queen of France just before she's supposed to conceive the country's greatest hope for the future?" Rip asks Sara, remembering the mission before Battleworld.
"She seduced me." Sara states in defense.
"Or wrong as in violating our policy of not using superpowers in front of people?" Rip asks Ray, Peter, Firestorm regarding the same mission.
"They had laser guns." Jax reminds him.
"At least I didn't screw up." Mick says as Rip walks over and reveals some gold he snatched. "Stealing's not screwing up."
Rip looks angry before walking off alone.
"Yeesh, what's wrong with him?" Lane asks the crew. "I mean, I've seen better crews than you, but I've also seen worse. You should've seen when me and my team started working. We were leading normal lives until we were suddenly thrown into a mission to save the universe."
"I'll go talk to him." Sara says as she strolls off to talk to him.
"Wonder if she'll be able to get through him." Lane says.
"Highly doubt it. Rip is kinda stubborn on the whole us replacing the Time Masters thing." Peter comments when the ship suddenly shakes.
"Gideon, we under attack?" Peter asks as the team race over to the table.
"Negative. That was a shockwave generated by a time quake." Gideon tells them.
"What's a Time Quake?" Mick asks.
"It's a disturbance in the Temporal Zone caused by a large aberration." Peter says and notices all of them looking confused as to how he knows that. "Did anyone else read the manual other than me?"
"What's the point of origin?" Ray asks.
"New York city, 1942." Gideon says and shows a newspaper of New York City getting blown up by a nuclear bomb.
"Wow, someone blew up New York?" Jax asks in shock.
"During World War Two." Sara adds. "Think we could all guess who that someone is."
"Nazis." Mick and Peter say together.
"I hate Nazis." Mick states alone.
"Aided by some sort of time traveling ally, obviously." Rip took a guess.
"Does that mean the Allied forces lost the war?" Stein asks.
"In which case, why aren't we speaking German right now?" Jax asks.
"Because we're in the Temporal Zone." Ray answers his question.
"And not to mention I'm from a different universe." Lane adds.
"And because it takes time for the consequences of an aberration, even one as cataclysmic as this one, to ripple throughout time." Rip explains to them, meaning they can still fix the aberration.
"So how much time do we have to stop it?" Sara asks Rip.
"Not much time." Rip answers in worry.
"All right then, let's set a course and get ready to head out." Sara says as she strolls out and into the library. "Gideon, I need you to pull up everything you can on the target in 1942."
"I assume by target you mean Damian Darhk." Gideon guesses as she pulls up all of the information she can. Sara has been secretly looking into finding him on any of their missions in order to save her sister in the future before he could have the chance to kill her.
"All right, so we know he was alive during 1942, so we just need to know where he is." Sara says.
"According to a 1942 FBI file, the target was spotted here." Gideon says and pulls up a location as Ray walks in and chased Sara to erase everything from the screen.
"Hope I'm not interrupting." Ray spoke first.
"No, just reading on 1942." Sara says.
"You've been spending a lot of time down here lately, alone." Ray comments.
"Am I not allowed in the library?" Sara asks with a shrug.
"You just never struck me as a book worm." Ray says to her. "I'm just making sure that you're not holding onto anything. I know a thing or two about grief so if you wanna talk about Laurel-"
"Then I know where to find you." Sara interrupts him. "Thank you." She then walks out of the opposite door as Peter and Lane walk in.
"So, who blew the fuse on New York?" Lane asks as he leans against a bookshelf.
"I have no idea where to even begin searching." Ray admits to them.
"Perhaps these news reports will prove useful." Gideon says and pulls up news reports on World War Two and they notice that even though hundreds died during the altered attack, they still win.
"Oh, that's good news. Even though we were nuked we still win the war." Peter guesses that's a plus.
"Yeah but look at the date." Ray comments and points to the top of the newspaper and see the alteration.
"World War Two lasts two more years in the altered history." Peter sighs as he kept reading. "And killed twelve million more."
"Who's Albert Einstein?" Lane asks them, causing the two geniuses to turn to look to him in confusion.
"You don't know who Einstein is?" Peter questions.
"Dude, in my previous life, I was a space pirate. After Crisis, I became a fisherman. There was no reason for me to learn of some crazy hairdo-dude." Lane reminded Peter. "Not to mention, we probably don't even have Einstein on Earth-S."
"He's a smart guy, one of the smartest men to ever exist." Ray gave him the recapped version. "And apparently, he was killed in this altered history."
"Actually, Einstein went missing just prior to New York." Gideon corrected him, but that immediately gave them an assumption.
"So, Einstein goes missing and the Nazis just happen to get a nuke?" Peter asks.
"They must've kidnapped Einstein and had him build them a bomb." Ray continued his train of thought.
"So, the only way to get history back on track is to kidnap Einstein." Lane finished and started to walk out. "Gideon, chart for 1942, New York."
1942, New York
The team were all out with the search, minus Jax who was doing repairs on to the Waverider while they're out on the mission.
"So how do we find Einstein in a city of 7 million people?" Stein asked as they strolled through Central Park.
"Simple, look for the physicist with the crazy white hair." Ray joked before facing Martin. "I mean the other one."
"Feels great being back in my hometown, even if it isn't exactly the same." Peter comments as he was currently swinging around wearing an outfit to fit with the times
The suit, which is all black in color, is made up of a normal dress of the WWI era matched with a vest. It features a headgear and aviator glasses for a mask, black gloves which also holds his web shooters and military grade black boots.
"According to Gideon, there's a cocktail party at Columbia this evening." Rip, who was wearing a captains uniform, informed them.
"Cocktail party?" Mick asked, suddenly interested in what was being said. "Means booze. Where is it?"
"He...he just said it was at Columbia." Lane reminded him. "Weren't you paying attention?"
"So does this mean kids aren't invited?" Peter asked as he landed on top of the Empire state building.
"Sorry, Mr. Parker, just keep your distance and try to stay out of sight." Rip asked of him while Lane grabbed a newspaper from the trash. "What are you doing?"
"Oh, come on, it's not like the timeline cares about me picking up some trash paper." Lane stated and started to read it when something caught Ray's attention on the front page.
"The Black Cat strikes?" Ray questioned.
"Wasn't that the famous cat burglar that was almost never caught?" Sara asked.
"Hmm, my hero." Mick stated.
"Wasn't that you who caught him, Peter?" Ray asked into the commlink.
Peter was then sent into his own world at the reminder.
"Peter?" Ray asked for a response.
"Stop that guy!" Peter heard the day echoing in his mind. "You let him go?"
"I missed where that was my problem..." Peter heard himself state.
"...man shot; we need an ambulance..."
Peter tracks the man down who shot his uncle to an abandoned building with the things he stole from the house. "Who's there?!" Walter Hardy asks and starts shooting around the room. gets afraid and runs to the door.
But Peter was already on the other side and starts fighting him off. The killer tries killing him with a knife, but Peter knocks it out of his hand and Rios off his mask.
"Please, don't hurt me. Just give me a chance." Walter Hardy pleads to Peter.
"What about my uncle? Did he get a chance?!" Peter asks before pushing him into the wall and grabbing his shirt. "Did you?!"
Peter then had a flashforward to his days as Spider-Man back in his New York and his yet to be partner Black Cat.
"We make a pretty good team." Peter said as he hanged upside down from the Chrysler Building while Cat was sitting on one of the ornaments. "Maybe you should change sides."
Black Cat then turned to face him with a smirky smile, as that was her way of replying to his statement.
"Okay...then why did you help me?" Peter was curious to know.
"You really don't know?" Black Cat asked as she leaned over and lowered his mask a little to reveal his mouth and before he could protest, she kissed him.
And just as typical as any Parker Luck, Peter learned the truth behind Black Cat's intentions. Because as it turns out, she was using him to get into the prison where her father was being held.
Which turned out to be his uncle's killer.
"Peter, you there?" Lane's voice finally snapped him out of his new memories flashes. Seems living with his parents is going to lead to a whole lot of side effects.
Apparently, this new realities version of him and Black Cat have a deeper relationship than his original version.
"Yeah, I'm here. Sorry, I spaced out for a second." Peter apologized.
Sara then began to walk off from the group where Ray quickly raced off to her. "Hey, where you going?"
"I have a grandfather in the FBI." Sara quickly lies. "I figured I'd check in in case we need backup."
"Oh. Good plan." Ray agreed as she walked off, but he doesn't really believe her and quickly pulled out his suit from his pocket and followed her when Rip stopped him.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going?" Rip questioned.
"Follow Sara, in case she needs backup." Ray explains and chases after her.
"Are they going to be okay alone?" Lane asked.
"I suppose I don't have a choice." Rip sighed and led them off towards Columbia.
Peter was about to leap after them when his senses go off and he turned around quickly but saw nothing there.
Looking around closely, he noticed someone walking around wearing an elegant red dress and a gigantic hat, but he saw that her hair went down to her waist and was platinum-blonde.
Peter was about to look closer as to why his senses went off when he realized he as a mission and was already falling behind so he swung off.
The woman in the red dress then looked up to the place where Peter once was and revealed her bright green eyes.
"Catch you later, Spider..." The woman said in a flirtatious tone.
Peter was able to make it to Columbia, good thing he knows this city like the back of his hand. But just as he arrived, he seemed to have been out of it longer than he thought as his senses went off and he wonders what they're doing.
Inside, a few minutes prior, Lane quickly helped himself to the drinks as they spotted Einstein.
"I just found our spies." Rip gestured to a group of three men who were eying Einstein from across the room. "Notice their uniforms. The stitching on the lapels, it's exquisite."
"Hm, fake." Lane understood and watched as one of them went for their guns. "I think we should make our move."
"Agreed." Rip said as the group slowly raced through the crowd over to Einstein.
"Let me talk, I speak physicist." Stein said as he stepped ahead of them and approached Einstein and the two women who's with him. "Oh, Herr Professor, I'm so sorry to interrupt."
"Who are you?" Einstein asked in confusion.
"My colleague and I were just having a rather spirited debate about your theory of relativity." Stein said as he gestured towards Lane who was watching the approaching spies whilst the women wandered off. "Perhaps you can help us settle it."
"I was this close to getting them both to come back to my room." Einstein stated in anger.
"Well, what about your wife?" Stein asked in confusion.
"The one who died or the one who divorced me 30 years ago?" Einstein asked.
Lane then saw the spies drawing all their weapons and got ready to draw his. "We gotta get going."
"Right." Mick agreed and grabbed Einstein's arm. "Come on."
"What do you think you're doing?" Einstein asked.
"We have to get you out of here, your life is in danger." Stein explains as they lead him through the party.
"This is why I never travel without my security detail." Einstein said and before anyone could say anything, he turned away. "Help! I'm being kidnapped!"
Just then, the guards and spies all drew their weapons, but Lane was a tad quicker and shot one of the spies down first.
"Let's go!" Lane cried as they all made their escape while Rip was taking a drink before punching out another one of them and using his gun to shoot the others.
Before the guards could do anything, Peter came swinging in, crashing through the window before shooting impact webs to knock them out.
"What did I miss?" Peter asked in shock.
"We might not look like it, but we're the good guys." Stein promised as he and Mick lead Einstein through the chaos.
"Why should I believe that you're really a physicist?" Einstein asked.
"Because." Stein stopped and quickly turned sound. "For every action..." he then punched Einstein in the face, knocking him out. "There's an equal and opposite reaction."
Waverider
"So mission accomplished?" Lane asked as he and Peter strolled through the halls to the main room of the ship.
"Without Einstein, the Nazis can't create any weapon so that means no big boom to kill New York and yours truly." Peter confirmed as he removed his mask. "Isn't that right, Gideon?"
"I'm afraid not, Mister Parker." Gideon broke to him.
That caused the two of them to freeze as they made their way over to the newly made holo-table in the middle of the room.
Peter looks extremely confused as the timeline remains unchanged. "But...without Einstein-"
"The abbreviation remains unchanged."
"How is that possible?" Lane asked just as Mick and Stein came in with their answer.
"Because it's not Einstein anymore." Mick confirmed as they marched into Rip's office.
"It's his wife." Stein explains, causing the room to groan in anger.
"So, while we were safeguarding Einstein..." Rip sighed and waited for someone else to continue.
"The Nazis were busy kidnapping his ex." Sara finished.
"Her names Mileva Maric, she's a fellow nuclear physicist." Stein explains to them.
"Who, and I'm taking a wild stab in the dark here, had nobody to guard her?" Lane asked.
"Yes." Stein confirmed his fears. "Einstein's collaborations with Ms. Maric were a closely guarded secret between the two of them."
"A secret the Germans apparently knew." Rip sighed in annoyance.
"But wait, how could they've known, and the timeline remained the same before?" Lane was curious to know.
"Must be the work of our rogue time traveler who gave laser guns to those guys in France." Peter took a wild guess.
"Something we'll look further into after we deal with this." Rip promised. "Because unless we can determine where they're keeping her while she manufactures their bomb-"
"If I had to guess," Ray interrupted as he walked in with his under suit for his Atom suit on. "I'd say she's with Damien Darhk's uranium."
"Damien Darhk?" Lane asked in confusion.
"As in the man who murdered your sister?" Rip asked Sara.
"How is Damien Darhk even alive in 1942?" Stein questioned.
"Thanks to the Lazarus Pit, he hardly ages." Ray explains and looks towards Sara. "Sara's kind of an expert on Damien Darhk."
"Drop it, Ray." Sara demands.
"I'm sorry." Ray apologizes. "But while you were all saving Einstein, Sara was off on her own secret side mission to kill Laurel's killer in the past."
"And I suppose you never thought of saving your fiancée?" Sara asked.
"Yeah, of course I did, but I never did it, because it's against the rules." Ray stated.
"What rules?" Sara asked. "We're not Time Masters, there are no rules."
"Well, if there were, they'd certainly be one about lying to your team." Ray stated whilst this conversation was getting uncomfortable to Peter.
"Listen to yourself." Sara stated. "Look, we get it, you're perfect. Always the Boy Scout, aren't you, Raymond?"
"Yeah, well, I could say the same thing about you being an assassin." Ray stated.
"Well if we're being honest, then let me get something off my chest." Sara stated as she circled the table in Rip's office.
"Guys, can we take a step back?" Lane asked them.
"You think you're such a big hero, Ray?" Sara asked as she got in his face. "Without that fancy suit lure nothing but a self-righteous rich guy."
Ray however doesn't seem phased by that and actually agreed with her. "Maybe you're right. But if you recall, it was because of my suit, we were able to survive Battleworld. And not to mention finding Einstein's ex-wife or Darhk."
"Sorry, what did you say?" Rip suddenly asked.
"Anyone who spends a lot of time around uranium, this case Damian Darhk, picks up radiation. Which my suit can track." Ray explains to them and eyes Sara.
"And lead us straight to the Nazis and their bomb." Stein added on in shock.
They all then went around the ship to get ready to locate it as Peter quickly raced over to Ray.
"Hey, Ray, I...I just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for not slipping out about my parents." Peter thanked Ray. "I mean, you kinda let it slide for me to have my parents and me changing history."
"That was because it wasn't you who did it out of selfishness." Ray explains to him. "Snart did it because he saw you didn't deserve to be living on the streets. And I agree."
"Anyways, thanks." Peter said and gave the man a small hug which he returned before they left to do their own thing.
Garret shipyard : Hoboken, New Jersey
Damien was looking over Mileva's work on her atomic bomb.
"Beautiful work, Mileva." Darhk told her. "Dr. Einstein should never have let you get away."
"I did what you want. Now let me go." Mileva demanded of him with a gun pointed at her back.
"Actually, we still have need of you." Darhk stated. "This thing didn't really come with an owner's manual. Get her and the bomb on board." He demanded just as a submarine came out of the water.
A small distance away, the team were watching the interaction and the submarine.
"We can't allow them to get that bomb onboard." Rip stated.
"Wha about Mileva?" Einstein asked the team who they brought along.
"Don't worry, I'll get her safe." Lane promised.
"But we must secure the nuclear bomb-" Stein stated.
"Atomic." Einstein corrected him.
"-About to be placed on a Nazi submarine. This is no time for subtlety." Stein finished, ignoring Einstein.
"Agreed." Rip said as he raised from his hiding spot.
"Let's make sure we all follow the plan." Ray said, looking towards Sara.
"Let's just get this done." Sara said as they got ready to move out.
Darhk was getting the bomb into the submarine just as two blasts go off, one from Ray and another from Lane, both blasts hitting his men.
"Step away from the lady and the bomb!" Ray demanded as he marched ahead of everyone. "Final warning!"
Darhk then shouted something in German as the men start coming, out to attack.
Peter quickly leaped out from behind some crates and tackled one of them and shot a web to blind another whilst Mick came in and scorched them with his gun.
"I love roasting Nazis!" Mick declared as he kept going.
Firestorm then came flying in and blasted around the bomb whilst Sara went after Damien.
"We need to get Miss Maric to safety!" Rip cried as he raced through the mess and Lane came up to him.
"I'll get her out of here." Lane promised and twisted his arm to shoot someone approaching from behind.
"I am glad I recruited you." Rio sighed in relief.
Sara went in and used her staff to try and take Damien on, but he easily dodged all of her attempts. Darhk then went in himself and grabbed her staff and wrapped it around her.
"Interesting technique. League of Assassins, am I right?" Darhk asks as Sara kicked him and got herself free and got ready to go at it again.
"I've been waiting a long time for this." Sara stated.
"Long time? For what?" Darhk asks in confusion.
"To kill you." Sara answers.
"Try to you mean." Darhk corrected as Sara goes back to attaching him.
Meanwhile, Ray was currently trying to disarm the nuclear bomb whilst Mick and Peter were his backup.
"Guys, little problem." Ray said as his suit starts bleeping. "Suits not as radiation proof as I thought."
"Sara! Fall back!" Rip cried out to Sara who looks mad and went in for a final attempt to kill Darhk.
Peter was kicking and swinging Nazis around when his senses went off and saw someone aiming at Mick's back.
"Mick!" Peter cried and raced to save him, only to end up being the shield to save him and taking the bullet.
"Fall back!" Rip cried as Mick quickly picked up the kid as he clutched his shoulder. "Firestorm, Mr. Evans, cover Sara and Dr. Palmer."
Firestorm blasted from above while Lane used an advantage point to escape while shooting them down.
Waverider
The ship was currently back in the air with Rip in the pilot seat and piloting them in the air as Jax came in.
"Okay, Peter's on the mend, and Einstein and his ex are safe and sound with the security detail." Jax informed Rip.
"Thank you, Jax." Rip said as he was focusing on the controls.
"But the Nazis still have the bomb, why are we leaving New York?" Jax asks.
"Because the Nazis still have a nuke, which we saw being loaded on a U-boat." Rio explains.
"They're gonna hit New York from underwater." Jax says, now seeing how the future they saw came to be.
"Yeah, I'm tracking the uranium signature recorded by Dr. Palmer's suit, but before we engage the Nazis I need you to make these modifications." Rip explains and holds up a tablet with what he needs to do.
"All right, I'm on it." Jax promises and heads off to do the modifications whilst Rip dives into the ocean.
After some time, Peter was back on his feet, and everyone raced into the room to see what's happening.
"Ah. We going swimming?" Mick asked.
"I'm tracking the Nazis U-boat." Rip explains to them.
"Where is it?" Lane wonders when the ship gets shaken by an attack.
"It's close." Rip said.
And the ship was indeed close as they were getting hit by torpedoes by the Nazis ship.
"They've knocked out our telemetry, Captain." Gideon reported.
"What's happening?" Peter asked as he shook in fear while his senses blasted his mind.
"As you can see, the Waverider is ill suited for underwater combat." Rip informed them.
"Seems like an oversight considering the ship's purpose." Lane commented.
Rip then sent out defenses to attack the submarine and stop them from firing. But that seemed to have gone bad as they watched the nuke go swimming past them.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Lane muttered to himself.
"What was that?" Sara asked.
"The nuclear bomb." Rip answered in fear. "I fear there's only one option left." He then began to pilot the Waverider to move past the bomb while Jax came back.
"Okay, whatever you wanted me to do, I did it." Jax said as he took a seat and Rip got out of his seat.
"What's going on?" Mick asks.
"I am piloting us on a collision course with the nuke. With any luck, it will hit us before New York City." Rip explains to them.
"Uh, can the ship take that type of damage?" Lane questions.
"Honestly? I have absolutely no idea." Rip confessed. "Which is why I'm doing this." He then hits a button which blinded everyone with a flash of light.
Once Peter opened his eyes he saw everyone was gone, leaving him and Rip as the only ones on the ship.
"Umm...where'd everyone go?" Peter asks in confusion.
"The appropriate question is when." Rip said as he ran to his office for something. "Over the last few months, I've implemented a safeguard in case of a catastrophe. A high burst of temporal energy has scattered our team throughout history."
"I knew you didn't like me." Peter said sarcastically. "Tell me the truth, it was the quips, wasn't it? You couldn't stand them, could you?"
"I'm afraid, injured as you are, you wouldn't survive the rigors of time travel," Rip explains as he walks back over with something in his hands. "Which is why I'm doing this." Rip then flashed a light that knocked Peter out. "Gideon, how much time do we have?"
"30 seconds, Captain." Gideon reported.
Rip then works fast and carried Peter into the medical wing and placed him in stasis.
Once he was hooked up, Rip saw his work was done and knew it was all up to fate to bring everyone back.
"Gideon?"
"I'm here, Captain."
"You always are." Rio sighed as the missile approaches.
The missile then hits and sent out a gigantic explosion, with the Waverider in the middle of it all.
