Waverider : Date, unknown

With Gideon offline, Peter's stasis was flickering between working and non-working until finally the entire system went down, causing him to wake up.

Peter blinked and woke up to see he was in the med bay, no idea how he got there.

"Hello?" He cried out, noticing the lights were off. "Ray? Rip? Stein? Anyone?" He cried as he removed the stuff from his wrist and made his way through the ship to see he was alone.

Time passed and Peter was working on getting power back, but all he was able to do is get the lights and life functions working.

Peter took a bit of a break and grabbed one of his tape recorders and hit record. "This is Peter Parker, Spider-Man, date still unknown. It has officially been two weeks since my wake from stasis. I...have had no contact from anyone. I've been working on getting a signal out, but then I remembered when I went to sleep, it was 1942. I don't know how long I've been asleep, so I don't know if there's a point to it or not. But I know I'm the team's best hope of coming home. So I'm not going to give up. Parker out."

Peter was currently in Rip's chair and looked out of the window and watched as the fish passed him by, without a care in the world. The ship even began to grow coral and algae on the outside of it.

"This is Peter Parker. It's now been three months since my wake from stasis...and I've got nothing. Gideon isn't coming back online anytime soon without some help. Jax would get her back online easily, he's the mechanic. I've got the beacon working, so that's a plus. Let's just hope others out there are searching for a Timeship's distress signal. Yeah, I'm gonna be here for a while."

Peter was working on fixing the time drive, hopefully enough to get the ship airborne and to at least see what time period he's trapped in.

But all it ended up doing is sparking in his face. Peter removed his mask to reveal he's gotten much older, and had a beard growing on his face, which was impossible to shave considering he didn't have the proper materials working to help him out.

"Peter Parker. Day...who cares anymore?" Peter sighed as he lied in another one of the chairs and can't even enjoy the view of the open ocean as the window was covered by dust. "I don't know how much longer I can hold on down here. Mom, dad, if either of you find this, or if you're even alive or born by the time this discovery, I'm sorry. And to my little sibling that I never got to know...they were telling the truth. I was a time traveling superhero. Maybe we'll meet again in the future...or the past."

Peter then dropped the recording and drifted off to sleep.

Star City, 2016

A man was running through the halls of City Hall and made it to the office of the mayor just as he was punched in the face by a guard, and sent toppling and papers flying everywhere.

Mayor Oliver Queen exits the office and saw the four guards aiming at the man on the floor. "What the hell is going on out here?"

"Sorry, sir, he broke through the security cordon downstairs." One of the guards explains while the man crawls back to his feet.

"Only because they wouldn't let me up here without an appointment. But how does a regular guy get an appointment with the mayor anyway?" He questions as he got back to his feet. "Heywood, Dr. Nate Heywood. I'm here to talk about, Sara Lance, Ray Palmer, Spider-Man, and the rest of the Legends. I think they're in trouble."

That quickly gained Oliver's attention quickly and called off the men and allowed Heywood to speak to him in his office.

"Thank you for not having me arrested." Nate said as he opened his bag and pulled out a dozens of paper and scrolled them out on the table. "Those security guards really overreacted. One of them tried to mace me, you know."

"Dr. Heywood, I agreed to give you five minutes, that was three minutes ago." Oliver warned him. "I agreed to speak with you because Ray and Sara are friends of mine, but I don't know anything about any Legends."

"Of course you do, because you're the Green Arrow." Nate stated as if that was a casual assumption.

"Excuse me?" Oliver called him out. "We're done here."

"Oh, look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to drop a bomb on you like that, it's just I've exhausted all my normal avenues, and you're the only one who won't think I'm crazy." Nate explains to him.

"You sure about that?" Oliver questioned.

"I'm a historian. I specialize in historical reconstruction. Basically, I'm a time detective. Which I don't need to look at a call Ender and see that a week after you returned, the Arrow showed up."

"You said Sara and Ray are..." Oliver asks, waiting for him to get off the subject and to the main focus.

"Traveling through time with the other Legends. Legends as they call themselves." Nate explains and starts digging through his papers. "Now for the past six months, I've been noticing changes to history, which I wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for a friend of mine."

Oliver looked at him with a seriously confused look on his face.

"You're looking for evidence." Nate understood and quickly went over to another bundle. "Okay, an illuminated manuscript from 1216 depicting a knight, looks a lot like Dr. Palmer." He then raised a photo of Ray herring knighted in 1216. "Erratic text describing a woman in white with a black staff." He then handed a text page with it and then pulled a photo in black and white. "Sightings of a man hanging from the top of the Empire State Building in 1942, looks a lot like New York's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." He then handed him the picture that showed Spider-Man wearing his Noir suit and hanging from the pole on the Empire State Building.

"Please skip to the part where they're in trouble." Oliver asks of him.

"UFO sighting in the same 1942 as that picture was taken, multiple witnesses reported a flying machine diving into the Atlantic which matches with is contemporaneous with the sights of an atomic bomb detonation." Nate explains to Oliver, causing him to look in shock. "Now the government has denied this-"

"Wait, you said 1942?" Oliver asks. "Three years-"

"Before the atomic bomb was made." Nate confirmed.

"Dr. Heywood, if the Legends ship met an atom bomb, they're not in trouble...they're dead." Oliver stated.

24hrs later

Oliver and Nate were inside a submarine and were searching for anything to indicate the Waverider was there when they came across the said ship.

Once they entered, they were met with darkness and loose wires around the ship.

"Someone was doing some redecorating." Nate commented.

"If the Legends went down with the ship, then shouldn't there be bodies?" Oliver asked as they searched the ship and found nothing.

Once they searched everywhere and found nothing, they found Peter sleeping in the front seat.

"Is he dead?" Nate asks while Oliver saw he was breathing.

"No, he's alive." Oliver confirmed and went to lightly tap Peter, but he suddenly woke up and punched Oliver, sending him skidding across the floor.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Nate cried as he cradled himself onto the floor as Peter approached him when Oliver ran and grabbed his arms and twisted them across his chest.

"Listen, calm." Oliver demanded him.

"Are you real?" Peter asks. "Because it's very hard to tell these days."

"Yes. I'm real." Oliver promised calmly. "My name is Oliver Queen. So I need you to tell us what happened to your team."

"Trust me, you won't believe me." Peter promised.

"Try me." Oliver dared.

Peter showed them to the kitchen where it was the only lit room in the ship and functional room.

"The last thing I remembered I was knocked unconscious by the captain." Peter commented as he drank some water.

"I know Sara said she was leaving to protect history." Oliver said.

"Why does history need protecting?" Nate asks.

"Because the original people who were told to, the Time Masters, were blown up after we discovered they wanted to doom the world and work with Vandal Savage." Peter explains to them.

"So you and the Legends took over." Nate understood.

"Chasing down criminals and fixing history. Or as my dad put it, solving mysteries and rewriting history." Peter said sarcastically.

"Ducktails?" Nate asks.

"Dad's a big Disney fan." Peter shrugged.

"Back to your team." Oliver put them back on track.

"Right. So, we just got back from saving the multiverse and defeating the Batman Who Laughs." Peter began his tale, but that only confused them more. "Trust me, that's a tale for another day." He then went through everything that happened to them and how he ended up down here in this condition.

"So how long have you been down here?" Nate asks.

"No idea. Stopped counting after the third year." Peter confessed as he lied back in his chair.

"Okay, but where's Captain Hunter?" Oliver asks.

"Hmm, must've time scattered himself as well." Peter shrugged, no idea what he could've done. "Meaning it's up to me to go and find them."

"Do you think this thing still flies?" Nate asks.

"I might be able to get this ship working with a few extra hands onboard." Peter said as he looked to the two of them.

"Well, I don't have time to time travel," Oliver stated, "but if your team is stuck in history," he then placed his hand on Nate's shoulder, "who better to help than a historian?"

"Him?" Peter asked with a brow raised.

"If it weren't for Dr. Heywood, you would still be talking to the walls." Oliver informed Peter.

"Touché." Peter guessed. "Okay, you can help me get the power on so I can finally shave." He stated as he looked down at his beard and stood up. "Then I'll show you to the library." He then walked out of the room to try and fix the rest of the ship's power.

"Hey, wait, time out." Nate stopped Oliver. "This was supposed to be a salvage mission."

"Who are you kidding? You've waited your whole life for a chance like this." Oliver stated and left to return to the submarine.

It took some time, but Nate and Peter were able to put the ship back together in order to at least get it flying.

Peter then made his way to the Captain's chair with a razor up against his face, finishing up the rest of the beard and even had a quick second to give himself a haircut. Nate then walked in with a book in hand of where one of the teammates might be.

"Well, I did some digging, but I think I finally got a lead on Ray Palmer." Nate says and showed an article on a Jurassic Man that was discovered inside of a T-Rex and a shoe print was discovered from the Jurassic Period. "Are you sure you know how to fly this thing?"

"Uh...I never really learned how to drive a car, and with Gideon down, it's gonna be a bit harder. But I might be able to pull it off." Peter guesses as he hits a few switches and the ship hums to life. "Strap in."

Nate quickly took one of the many seats surrounding them and grows excited. "I can't believe this. We're about to travel through time!"

"Did I forget to mention the side effects?" Peter questions as he sends the Waverider into full throttle.

"What side effects!?" Nate questions as the Waverider exits the ocean and into the Temporal Zone.

South Dakota, 70 Million years ago

Ray was currently running for his life from a T-Rex that was chasing him through the jungle. Ray finally stopped and raised his makeshift sphere to the dinosaur just as several strands of webs tangle up around its legs and cause it to trip.

Ray turned around to reveal his long hair and beard when he noticed the familiar Spider-Man outfit, but a little surprised to see how old he'd gotten.

"Peter! Buddy!" Ray cheered at the sight. "How'd you find me?"

"I didn't." Peter confessed and gestured towards the currently vomiting Nate.

"He okay?" Ray asks.

"Side effects of time travel." Peter informed him.

"Speaking of which, you're never gonna believe where the rest of your team ended up." Nate stated before competing up again.

London, England, 1666

Mick was currently watching as people ran around rampant as the fire spread all throughout London and people screamed in fear and pain.

Peter came strolling up to him and sighed. "You got a job at the bakery?"

"Yep." Mick confessed.

"Left the oven running?" Peter questioned as they watched the fire spread.

"Yeah..." Mick sighed.

"Yeah, should've figured." Peter sighed and rubbed his eyes.

Tintangel, England, 821

The four of them came across Stein and Jax just at the right moment as it seemed that they were about to be beheaded.

"This is incredible." Nate stated as they strolled into the tent. "An actual medieval execution? I never imagined I'd see this with my own eyes."

"Who-who's he?" Stein asks.

"I'll explain later." Peter promised as he shot two webs out at the guys with axes and slammed them into the others in the tent holding Jax and Stein.

Jax and Stein then started to run out with Nate close by.

"Hey, I'm Dr. Haywood, I've heard so much about you." Nate greeted him.

"How about we get to know each other back on the ship?" Jax asks as they race out.

"But first we have to find Lane and Sara." Ray, clean shaven, stated as they raced back to the Waverider.

Salem, 1693

As luck would have it, Rip didn't exactly give Lane an actual time scatter destination, so he and Sara landed in the same time period.

Sadly, that didn't help with the fact the townspeople believe that Sara's a witch and is now getting ready to hang her.

"Vial, witch!" One of the townspeople cried. "You have corrupted the women of our village!"

"In my defense, they were happily corrupted." Sara stated and sent a seductive wink towards one of the women.

"Hang the witch!" The townspeople started changing just as Lane's finally had enough and pulled his blaster out and shot the noose they planned to hang her with.

Sara then took that as her cue as she snatched a pitchfork from one of the townspeople and used it to smack them back.

Just then, the team approached her from behind lead by Nate. "You must be Sara Lance."

Sara then spun her pitchfork and knocked him off his feet.

"Whoa, it's okay." Ray calms her down. "He's with us."

Sara blew some hair out of her face with a smile. "Hey."

"Is she always this violent?" Nate questioned.

Temporal Zone, Waverider

"So what exactly happened to you?" Lane asked Peter as everyone changed back into their casual outfits from the time period they were trapped in. "I mean, it looks like you aged years."

"At least five to ten years." Peter agreed. "Rip kept me aboard after scattering all of you, something must've gone wrong, so I woke up and was trapped in here for who knows how many years."

"Well, it could've been worse. You could've been found at like eighty or something." Ray guesses.

Nate then came back in from the library and with some bad news for the team. "I'm sorry, but so far, I haven't been able to detect any historical alteration that would indicate Mr. Hunter was stranded in time."

"Why don't we ask Gideon to find him?" Ray asks.

"Who's Gideon?" Nate asks just as Gideon's head appeared over the table.

"Greetings, Dr. Heywood." Gideon greeted him, sounding a bit different from the last time any of them saw her due to the changes Peter had to make to get her working. "I'm the ship's artificial consciousness."

"Gideon, do you know where Rip is?" Lane asked as he crossed his arms.

"I'm afraid I have no idea, but I would be happy to play his final message to you all."

"His what?" Peter asks just as a hologram of Rip appeared in front of his office.

"Sorry for stranding you all throughout history, but it was the only way to save you." Rip apologizes with a sigh and places his hands on his hips. "Well, you know what they say, a captain must never abandon his ship. Well, neither shall I abandon hope I shall see you all again. As flawed and unruly as you are individually, together you are the best crew, the best team a captain could ever hope for. So...stick together. And remember, history is yours now, my dear Legends." The entire crew look sad at those words as if it weren't for Rip, none of them would even be here. "Good luck."

"So...what do we do now?" Ray asks as they all were gathered around Rip...the ship's office.

"We drink." Mick stated and took a slug from a bottle in his hands.

"It's not like we were exactly Time Masters, even with Rip." Stien stated.

"But I think that he knew one day we'd have to do this without him." Jax stated.

"He said he wanted us to keep going." Peter agreed.

"He's right. And there is still that rogue time traveler out there." Lane reminded all of them.

"Yeah, a time traveler who's idea of fun is helping Damien Darhk and the Nazis blow up New York." Sara stated as she sat up right.

"What's to stop them from going back in time and kidnapping Einstein and his ex-wife again?" Ray asks.

"We can't be everywhere at once." Mick stated.

"But you can safeguard the Einstein's." Nate informed them.

"How?" Stein asked.

"By making one slight alterations to history." Nate said.

Peter was just getting back into his noir suit with everyone getting ready to leave when Gideon called him out.

"Mr. Parker?"

"Gideon, I told you to call me Peter." Peter reminded her.

"My apologies, but I think this is something you should quickly look into." Gideon said and pulled up a newspaper article.

Cat burglar steals priceless diamond

"What's wrong with that?" Peter asks.

"It appears in the original timeline, Cat Burglar wasn't meant to steal this diamond for another week, where he's arrested Now, it appears, he gets away and steals the diamond." Gideon explains.

Peter remembers that diamond as it's the diamond that's supposed to be on display for years until the Black Cat tries to steal it and almost sold it.

"And that's not all."

"What the heck?" Peter asked as he looked at a photo Gideon pulled up, and it certainly wasn't the Cat Burglar.

Columbia university, 1942

Stein, Nate, and Stein all marched over towards Einstein as Peter left to go check out the museum to keep history on track.

"We'd like to talk to Mr. Einstein. CIA." Mick said and showed his badge.

"He means OSS." Nate corrected him. "This is related to the Manhattan Project."

"You're headed to Columbia university, for the sympathy?" Mice asks.

"Symposium." Stein corrected.

"Same thing." Mick stated.

"Once you're there, we're gonna need you to publicly announce that Mileva Maric has been your silent partner for over thirty years." Nate explains to him.

"Acknowledging Mileva's contributions is the only way to keep her safe." Stein explained why to Einstein.

"Besides, it's the right thing to do. Don't be a jerk." Mick stated.

They watched the symposium and Einstein did exactly what they asked of him and made their way out to head back to the Waverider.

"Hey, anyone heard back from Peter?" Ray asked.

"Not since he went to check out the museum." Lane answered with a shrug.

"What was all of that about anyway?" Jax wondered.

"Hey, Peter, you there?" Sara asks into the comms.

"Yeah, Sara, seems it was a false alarm." Peter said with a sigh of relief. But then they heard what sounded like crumbling. "Uh...I'm gonna have to call you back."

"Why? What's wrong?" Sara asked, but she realized the comms went dead. "That was weird, even for him."

"What do you say we go check on him?" Jax asks.

"Sounds like the smart thing to do." Sara agreed and they all began to head off to figure out what's going on with Peter just as a gun cocks behind them.

They quickly turn around and were met with someone wearing a strange outfit and holding a gun out.

"Not until you answer a few questions." He informed them just as three other people marched over to them, looking distinctively like the Earth-2 Justice Society they met.

"We're the Justice Society of America." A girl earring an orange and black outfit stated.

"And you're coming with us." Someone who looked like the one girl Beth (Dr. Mid-Nite) that none of them met, but thanks to the Specter, Lane knows what she looks like to see the resemblance.

Then there was some guy wearing an all blue outfit with a black mask covering his entire face. And then the girl who looked almost exactly like Stargirl.

"I'm sorry...what?" Jax asks.
