Waverider
Peter sighed as he rubbed his head after getting slapped by the Nazi.
"You good, man?" Lane asks him.
"I'm good. Just gotta walk it off." Peter assured him.
"We have the amulet, now what?" Dr. Mid-Nite asks as he picked it up.
"First priority is to make sure Ray and Amaya are alive and getting them out of the bunker where the Nazis are holding them." Sara stated.
"Actually, our first priority is destroying the Baron and whatever serum is making him indestructible." Steel stated.
"Perhaps we could propose a trade." Mid-Nite offered. "Their lives for the amulet."
"Unfortunately. The amulet's not ours to barter with." Steel stated.
"We need an extraction plan." Sara informed the two of them.
"We need to eliminate the threat." Steel replied to her. "Now, professor Stein, tell us, what is your plan of action?"
As they argued, Peter was rubbing his shoulder from what he had to guess was a broken shoulder when he noticed something blue on him.
"What's this?" Peter asked as he wiped it off and placed it on his glove. "I'm gonna go look into something, I'm gonna need to borrow Ray's labs."
Peter and Lane made it into the labs and Peter activated the analyzer and searched for anything he can use to figure out what it's made of.
"Gideon?" Peter called out.
"Analyzing the substance now, Mr. Parker." Gideon assured him and scanned for anything in it. "It appears to have a formula similar to one used on Earth-616. But I can't seem to access where it came from as it's restricted from my access."
"I guess we'll have to call my friends for help." Lane said as he leaned against the doorway. "I'll send them a message, I'm sure they're not doing anything."
"Great, maybe it'll help us get an idea on who we're dealing with." Peter said as he rubbed his sore on his head. "Never actually been injured like that before."
"Really?" Lane asks.
"No, I've been tossed around, but never went against someone who could actually injure me." Peter stated. "At least physically."
"Still thinking of your ex?" Lane asked, causing Peter to look confused. "Small team, word gets around fast."
"Of course it did." Peter sighed. "I know Felicia better than anyone. She's...mythological, but I know how she works. She never leaves a trail of bodies with her or leaves anything behind like this serum. This is someone else's work."
But the next big question is why would Felicia work with someone like that?
"And we approach from the southwest, destroy the weapons lab and the Baron in one move." Steel says as he looked over the map of the area.
"Except for the last time, we faced him, he took out both of our teams." Sara reminded him.
"The last time, we weren't being backed by a squadron of B-17s." Steel replied.
"Then how do we get Ray and Amaya out before the bombs start falling?" Sara asks, not seeing where that fits in to the plan.
"We don't." Steel tells him, shocking Sara. "This conflict is bigger than any one of us. If it means ending the war one day sooner, Amaya would happily make that sacrifice."
"But she doesn't have to." Sara stated and was honestly getting sick of these guys. "Look, I know you and your team think we're a group of irresponsible losers, but I know Ray Palmer, and he has a plan to get out of that bunker. We just need to give him time-"
"That means giving the Nazis time." Steel stated. "I'm calling in the strike."
But before he could leave, Sara stopped him from doing that. "I can't let you do that."
"Yes, she does." Stein stated as he was still in the office trying to figure out what to do and knows what that is now. "Miss Lance speaks for all of us. I have watched her become the beating heart and steady hand of this team. She is the proper person to lead us. And if she says we are going to rescue our people, that is what we are going to do."
Later on, the team are storming the base as Firestorm comes flying in as the others made their way into the base. Sara comes in and swings her staff and punched one of the Nazis with her staff. Mick blasts the Nazis on their way in as Lane covers his back while Sara picked up Amaya's necklace that was on a table.
"Firestorm is drawing the troops away from the bunker." Steel reported from above.
"Copy that. We still need to find Amaya and Ray." Sara said as she pocketed the necklace. They walked down to another hall and spotted Ray and Amaya being escorted on and they fought off the guards with ease.
"Thanks, haircut." Mick thanked as Lane shot an approaching Nazi.
"These guys have worse aim than Stormtroopers." Lane stated with a scoff as an explosion goes off above their heads from Firestorm.
'Steel, Spider-Man, Mid-Nite, we've recovered the rest of the team." Sara reported as they made their way out.
Aboveground, Peter shot a web out as it attached itself to a Nazi and did a backflip and kicked another one.
"We should hurry it up." Peter informed them as Steel shot another one coming from the woods.
"Hourman's ordered the bomb strike!" Mid-Nite warned them as he hid when Peter's senses went off.
"Look out!" Peter cried as the doors to the base get burst open and they see Krieger is back and in his hulking form again. "This guy again."
Steel and Mid-Nite quickly got out of his way whilst Peter ran in and leaped on top of him.
"Hey, you know, you remind me of a buddy of mine called Rhino." Peter said jokingly as he shot webs on his shoulders as Krieger tried to grab him off his back. "You sure you're not related somehow? Maybe a really, really distant relative?"
Peter then began to crawl around him, releasing his web to begin trailing around him and placed him inside of a cocoon. he then leaped off and saw Krieger was stuck.
"He's not getting out of there anytime soon." Peter promised just as Krieger ripped himself free of the webbing as if it was copper. "I stand corrected. Run!"
The three of them do exactly that as they race off and split off, causing Krieger to chase after Steel while Peter picked up Mid-Nite and swung off.
As Steel was running, he ran into Nate on a motorbike. "What are you doing here?"
"Saving you! Get on!" Nate demanded him as Steel does exactly that and they begin to drive away from Krieger just as they saw the bombers fly past and one of them landed right on top of Krieger.
Nate and Steel stopped and turned back to see he was finished and were interrupted by the bombs falling on top of them as well.
Waverider
Luckily, it turned out that Ray was working on enhancing the serum the Nazis got from their unknown source. He gave it to him and was able to save Nate's life.
Afterwards, they got ready to drop off the JSA back off at their headquarters back in New York.
"So what exactly did Hitler want with this thing again?" Peter asked as he picked up the amulet and handed it to the JSA.
"No idea. Hitler's known to be obsessed with the strange." Steel commented as he took the amulet.
"We'll keep it safe, in any case." Mid-Nite promised them.
"I guess that's your way of saying thanks." Mick commented.
"Either way, I think it's time we got out of 1942." Sara informed the two teams. "This was fun."
"It was...unusual." Steel guessed.
"You think this was crazy? You should've seen when we climbed a snowy mountain while singing." Lane commented as he re-entered the room, causing the JSA to look seriously confused.
"It's...it was a lot cooler than it sounds." Ray promised them.
"But at the same time, it probably wasn't." Jax confessed.
"Where were you?" Peter was curious to know.
"Finally got into contact with the Web of Reality. But only got into contact with the Specter and Web as it seems the Warriors are missing." Lane stated in confusion.
"How did she loose the Warriors?" Jax asked him.
"I don't know, but knowing my friends they did something stupid and are paying the price somewhere while on a crazy adventure." Lane shrugged as he was used to this sort of thing to happen to his friends. "She analyzed the serum that Pete got off from our first encounter with the psycho Nazi. She said that it's an experimental phase of the Super Solder Serum that they would later use to create Captain America."
"Wait, so the time traveler we're searching for is also a dimensional jumper?" Ray asks, this story only getting more confusing.
"First recruiting the Black Cat, now we learn that this person is a person who can travel to an alternate dimension just to steal a serum from another world that was defective. Who's behind all of this?" Peter was curious to figure out.
JSA headquarters
Rex Tyler placed the amulet inside a case and walked out of the room just as Felicia Hardy sneaked into their headquarters through the window as if it was nothing and then used her claws to cut through the glass and picked it up.
"And he said it was gonna be hard." Felicia stated, forgetting how much she missed this when Rex suddenly returned.
"Hey! Who are you?" Rex asked the intruder who turned to face him.
"I guess my boyfriend never mentioned me...he likes to keep me to himself." Felicia said and before Rex could questioned him further, a flash of lightning came in and slammed him against the wall revealing the Reverse Flash.
"Hello again, Rex." Thawne greeted the man.
"Who are you?!" Rex asks, getting kinda sick at these random people appearing from everywhere.
"Oh, we've met before. On countless worlds actually. In fact, the last time we met, you almost time traveled back in time to warn the Legends not to come here." Thawne informed him.
"What are you talking about?" Rex choked out.
"Believe me, it's beyond your comprehension." Thawne promised and then sends a vibrating hand into Rex's rib cage, causing him to scream and toss him as he bled to death.
"What did we talk about?" Felicia asks him, looking annoyed at what he did.
"It was necessary." Thawne replied and sees that she has it. "Let's go.We still have a few other members to pick up."
With that, he sped off and took Felicia with him.
When they left, Amaya walked in and was shocked to see Rex lying on the ground.
"Rex!" Amaya cried as she ran over to his bleeding form and held onto him.
"Time...travelers..." Rex choked out with his dying words, leaving Amaya to question who he was referring to.
