Waverider

In the library, Peter was watching over the timeline for any indication of Felicia, and all he's found out is that she's been everywhere.

Going by a few dozen different names.

White Widow, Black Cat, Felicity Hardy, and just about everything she's doing is basically begging him to chase her. But nothing she's done is connecting to the amulet that Sara nicked off Darhk back in the White House.

And just as he was thinking about their new lives, new memories flooded in on him and growing up with his parents and Teresa.

Her first day at the beach. Her first dance recital.

Peter smiled and just ended up spacing out when Lane found him. "Thinking about her again?"

"Which her?" Peter asked as he shook himself free of the flashes. "I've got two flooding my memories."

"How about the thing that changed the timeline?" Lane asked. "Your sister."

"I can't help it." Peter confesses to him. "She's...incredible. I mean, every day, I've been given new memories of the two of them, and...it's confusing. One day, me and Felicia are good, and the next memory, she's trying to kill me. And with Teresa...I find myself worrying what if she tells the others and they go after her to get to me? Or what if there's an emergency?"

"I'd be more scared of the thought of when someone learns your parents are alive." Lane stated as he took a seat and crossed his legs on the table. "And now there's a bigger aberration with the whole you have a sister."

"They're not aberrations." Peter stated as he looked over the bookshelves. "And feet off the table."

Lane rolled his eyes and put his feet down and got back up. "The only reason she's born is because Snart changed the timeline. And one of these days, you're gonna have to come clean."

"And do what?" Peter asked as he turned over to face Evans. "Tell them all that my folks are alive, and I have a sister just so they go back in time and stop them from not getting on that plane? No! I'm not going to murder them."

"You know someone's gonna catch on." Lane promised him. "Either it be Gideon, Sara, or Nate."

"Please. Gideon promises to keep her mouth shut, and unless I tell her to, she won't reveal anything to anyone about my family. Nate's keeping an eye on historical events, meaning the best he'll do is discover my ancestors. And Sara's more focused on keeping herself from slitting Darhk's throat." Peter recapped all of his concerns and his solutions. "And according to Gideon, the future is no longer set in stone after everything we did on Battleworld. So really, there's nothing to worry about."

Just then, the alarms went off in the ship and nearly caused them to jump.

"Excuse me, but Dr. Haywood's seismograph has detected an aberration."

The entire team then made their way to the main room where Nate and Ray were already at.

"Who installed the alarm?" Mick asked in annoyance.

"That'd be me." Nate takes responsibility for.

"We should kill him." Mick stated as Peter and Lane walked alongside him,

"I'll get that off by the end of the day." Peter promises him.

"We got another one?" Jax asked.

"Yeah, and judging by these readings, it's a major one." Nate stated.

"When is it?" Peter asked.

"The temporal tremors originate from Union Station in Chicago, Illinois, October 17th in the year 1927."

"Ugh, Chicago." Peter whispered in disgust.

"What do you have against Chicago?" Jax asked.

"I'm a born New Yorker." Peter stated as he crossed his arms. "Proud to be."

"Well, looks like you'll have to put your New Yorkness on hold for this mission." Sara tells him.

"This is great." Stein tells them all. "I've always wanted to visit the roaring '20s right in the middle of prohibition."

"That means no drinking." Mick stated. "That's not good."

"We'll, actually, under Capone, Chicago was a hot bed of vice." Nate informed Mick. "There was illegal drinking, gambling, prostitution."

"Well, then, let's fire up a tub and get there." Mick stated, suddenly interested in getting on with the mission.

"Well then, grab your fedoras, because we're going to the 1920s." Sara tells everyone.

Chicago 1920:

Peter walks down the street dressed up in casual attire with the rest of the team working on following this Eliot Ness guy.

"Ray, they're not escorting him to the bureau." Peter heard Nate state. "They're gonna throw him in the river. 1920 Chicago PD is the most corrupt police force in history. Almost all of them are on Capone's payroll. Did you or did you not see The Untouchables."

"Now, that's a classic." Peter's greed.

"Peter, you and Lane are the closest to him. I need you to intercept him." Sara demanded.

Lane was hanging back and was against the wall of the PD when he got the message and pulled his blaster out. "Copy."

"On it." Peter promised as he took a few steps before seeing a stroller with a baby in it. Suddenly, his mind flashed back again to Teresa growing up.

He gets a flashback to the two of them in the park, it a bright sunny day in New York.

Once that was over, he saw another of her just rolling around in the grass and him tickling her.

Then he got a quick montage of every day in her life in almost half a second.

Peter smiled at it, not knowing that Eliot was going right past him.

"Peter!" Lane called out, shaking Peter free of his trance. "Where's Eliot?"

"What?" Peter asked as he looked to see he was being escorted into a car and already gone. "Oh..."

"What the hell happened down there?" Sara asked Lane and Peter as they were all back together.

"I'm sorry. It's my fault." Peter said as he was currently beating himself up about it. "I take full responsibility. Lane was doing as he was told, I just...got distracted."

"You?" Jax asked. "Pete, I've seen you face down Dark Knights and not get scared. What was so big you got distracted.?"

"Yeah, Pete." Lane said sarcastically as he turned to face Peter with a sarcastic smile. "What?"

Peter turned to look back at him, extremely annoyed as he and Ray are the only ones who know about what could've distracted him.

"Hey, it wasn't all Spidey's fault." Nate defended the man. "Ray let Ness walk right into Capone's hands."

"They were police officers, and who's to say they didn't take him to the FBI like they said they would?" Ray asked.

"Gideon, relay the bad news. We all know it's coming." Lane asked the computer.

"Ah, yes. On today's portion of bad news, Al Capone was originally supposed to go down for tax evasion, except now in this new version of history, he becomes worse than a criminal. He becomes a politician." Gideon related the news and pulled up the article.

"Ugh, I hate politicians." Lane snarled. "The last politician I knew, he tried to destroy the universe with a giant ball. It was more threatening than it sounds."

"Okay, we better get out there and save him." Sara tells everyone. "Before this has a chance to happen."

Turns out Al's men brought him to the waterfront, which he deduced from Mick. Just when they got there, Ness was tossed into the river. Nate also wearing a new suit that he was given by Ray and Peter.

"All this for some booze?" Mick asked them. "I like it."

"Nice get ups." Al scoffed at the team all geared up. "Seems our friends have some friends of our own. Get em, boys."

Firestorm lit up and went in as Nate steeled up and Sara used him for cover.

Lane went and opened fire, taking down two of them with ease. Amaya ran and summoned the spirit of a dolphin before leaping into the ocean to save Ness.

Peter jumped and wrapped his legs around one of their necks and sent them flying into the river. "And he's out cold! The crowd goes wild!"

"I'm going after Capone." Ray said as he got into his car and drove away.

Amaya then come out of the water with an unconscious Ness.

"Let him go." Sara tells them. "We've got Ness."

"He okay?" Jax asked.

"Gideon?" Peter called onto their computer he downloaded into his suit.

"What, you made her mobile now?" Nate asked.

"I was bored last night." Peter confessed. "How bad is it?"

"It appears Special Agent Ness has taken a significant amount of water, causing hypoxia. It will take time, but I'll be able to fix the brain damage if you get him back to the ship."

"Okay, let's get him back to the ship." Peter said as he quickly picked up the agent and they made their way out of the docking bay.

Not knowing that Darhk was watching everything, shocked at the occurrence.

"The Cat was right. They took the bait." Dahrk said in shock before walking off himself.

"Obviously, Capone somehow learned that Ness was the one to take him down." Sara said while Gideon was taking care of the agent.

"When we were at the docks, Capone said something about new friends." Peter remembered. "Might be our time traveling friends and their Speedster."

"But we have a bigger problem." Nate warned them all. "Well, another problem."

"It never ends." Lane groaned.

"This week, Ness and his team were supposed to obtain Capone's ledger from his bookkeeper." Nate explained to them. "The IRS's case against Capone for tax evasion is completely dependent on that ledger."

"Which he can't grab while he's currently laying in the med-bay with brain damage." Sara added.

"Exactly. Which means one of us has to take his place." Nate stated.

"That's a stupid idea." Mick stated as he was sitting down, drinking a beer.

"Nates right, I got this." Ray stated.

"Actually, I was thinking I got this." Nate broke to him.

"Well, yeah, I mean, if the mission was impersonating Brad Pitt, you'd be the man, but I think we can all agree if anyone here looks like a G-man here, it's me." Ray stated.

"Well, we're in this situation, because you learned history from a movie." Nate retaliated.

"All right, enough the both of you." Sara stopped them from retaliating. "Ray, I'm sorry, but Nate knows more about this area than any of us. What's the plan?"

"Okay, so if Capone's ledger is anywhere, it's probably at his primary speakeasy, the Chelsea Club, so Ray and I will go to the Bureau, assemble Ness's team and grab the ledger." Nate tells them the plan.

"Great. But take Mick with you." Sara says, causing the man to cough on his drink.

"Whoa, whoa. Does this face really look like a cop to you?" Mick asked her.

"If this we're a JSA mission, we'd probably send someone undercover at the club." Amaya tells them.

"Well, I'm not doing that either." Mick stated. "I'm done playing dress up."

"Fine, I'll take Jax, Evans, and Peter, he'll be able to sense anything if things go sideways." Sara decided on. "And you can stay here, drink your beers, and watch over Ness, Stein make sure the operation goes smoothly, nothing happens to Ness."

"What about me?" Amaya asked.

"You can watch over Mick." Sara said as they left the two of them alone.

Chelsea Club

The team were watching over the bar and Lane was trying to figure out how to ask for the stuff.

"How exactly do you ask for stuff here?" Lane asked, still not used to the whole alternative Earth part of time travel.

"It's called a speakeasy. You have to know how to ask for the stuff." Peter explained to him.

"Hm." Lane said. "Here's something I don't understand. If this guys a speedster, why would he be bothered with changing the past?"

"Well, according to my Earth-Prime counterpart, his Barry Allen changed the timeline five times before breakfast yet accident." Peter stated as he took a drink of whatever they gave him. "Well, I wouldn't be able to tell if this has alcohol. I can't get drunk."

"I feel sorry for you." Lane said as he looked around the room. "You think they should know? About what's companying your mind?"

"Yeah, I'll tell them I brought my family back from the dead when you survive through the prequels." Peter dared Lane.

"What's a prequel?" Lane asked him.

Peter then remembered he's from space and sighed before chugging the glass of who knows what.

"Be careful, guys. We're about to come in." Nate warned them.

"That's our cue to leave." Jax said from behind the counter.

"Yep." Peter agreed as he and Sara were the first to try and make their way out when his senses blared to infinity. Grabbing his head and grunting, Sara caught him before he fell.

"Little too much to drink?" Sara asks.

"No." Peter shuttered as the two looked up and saw it was Darhk.

"What are squares like you doing in a place like this?" Darhk asked them.

Lane quickly drew his blaster and was getting ready to shoot when it was smacked out of his hand and sent flying around the room by a streak of lightning.

"Speedster!" Lane cried out in warning just as Sara was taken.

Peter looked and turned to see she's missing and turned to the team. "Run!"

And just as he said that, he was immediately kidnapped, leaving Lane and Jax behind just as the doors burst open and Nate enter with Ness' team.

"Federal officers." Nate cried out when he noticed some of their men were missing. "What happened? Where's Sara and Peter?"

"Darhk showed up with his speedster buddy." Jax informed them.

"They took Sara and Peter." Lane finished explaining and they saw this was all an elaborate trap. And they just walked right into it.
