Whilst Peter was being tortured, the team just arrived outside and made it out of the truck where they're met with their members.
"You're not the regular guys, what happened to Vinney?" He asked them.
"Vinny, he...he's hanging with your mother." Mick stated before he punched him in the face.
Lane pulled his blaster and knocked him out quickly and Amaya took down the last man down with her powers.
"Okay, so let's get in and rescue Sara and Peter." Lane tells the team. "And Ray, Nate, if anyone gets captured, I don't care if you can turn to steel, I'll shoot you in the foot."
"Yes, sir." Nate and Ray agree and run to find the ledger to put history back on track, Amaya went with them considering neither of them proved to be capable of working together.
Lane snuck down the back of the place and came across a locked door, and if anything working with wither space pirates or the Warriors, locked doors are a dead giveaway.
Kicking down the door, Lane aimed his blaster in looking around and saw only Sara surrounded by barrels. "Sara." He sighed in relief and made his way inside and reached to untie her. "Where's Peter?"
"I don't know. Darhk took him." Sara answered as she was set free. "We need to find him, now."
Mick made his way through the maze of tunnels down below and saw nobody, not even any of Capone's men.
When he turned a corner and raised his gun, he was met with another vision he's been having recently on the ghost of Leonard Snart.
"Watch where you point that thing." Snart warned him. "You shouldn't be here, Mick. Capone's men might be from 1927, but their bullets work just fine. Do you really wanna risk your life for a skirt and a kid?"
"Last I checked, you died for that kid." Mick reminded Snart. "Live like a legend."
"Any sign of Peter?" Amaya asked into his comm.
"Not yet." Mick reported.
"Aw, sounds like a little angel whispering in your ear." Snart mocked as Mick was getting sick of him. "The problem is angels always want you to do the right thing. And doing the right thing gets you killed. Wanna stay alive, best listen to the devil. Get out."
They then heard alarms wailing from above, meaning they know they're here.
"Too late." Snart said snarky.
Sara and lane were finding their way out when they stumbled upon an unconscious Peter.
"Peter!" Sara cried as they raced over to him and he began to groan.
"Hey, kid, you there?" Lane asked as he lightly tapped his cheek.
"Hm?" Peter asked as he began to wake up. "What? What happened?"
"I'll explain later, let's get out of here." Sara stated as she picked him up and Lane grabbed his other shoulder before they began to carry him out.
On their way out, they ran into Al Capone and before he could do anything, Lane blasted him, Mick came in and tackled another, Firestorm blasted at them, and Ray covered behind Nate who shielded him with his steel body.
"Come on!" Sara said as they helped Peter into the car and the others followed before they sped off down the street.
Waverider
The team made it back into the Waverider main room and they saw Peter seemed a little lost.
"Hey, Pete, you're okay now." Sara assured him.
"What did they do to you down there?" Lane asked as Peter seemed really jittery.
"I-I'd rather not talk about it." Peter sighed.
"Maybe Gideon should look over you." Sara suggests.
"Nah, I'll be fine. You know me." Peter promised.
"Well, look at that, we've got the team back together." Nate said happily.
"And Capone's ledger, meaning history is back on track." Ray said cheerfully and looked to Nate. "Bro-hug?"
"Do it." Nate said as the two of them did a quick hug. "Lane, you want in on this?"
"I'd rather fight Thanos again." Lane stated as his way of saying no.
"I think this is a little premature." Sara informed them.
"We still need to identify the speedster." Amaya agreed.
"Who's now added Malcom Merlyn to his team of time traveling psychos." Sara continued. "And he wanted the amulet we took off Dahrk back in 1987."
"Well, what would someone with the power of a speedster want either an artifact?" Nate questioned. "That doesn't seem right with someone with a power to rewrite history on a whim."
"Maybe I can look at it." Peter offered to them. "I mean, I spent time alone with the guy and I might have learned something about it."
Sara shrugged, seeing no harm behind that, and seeing he might be able to get something. "Alright, go ahead."
But while that was happening, Lane was watching Peter leave the room and felt something was wrong.
Later on, Ray and Nate were looking over the timeline to see if history was going along it's correct path. Lane was just sitting down and looking over the cameras of the ship, keeping an eye on Peter.
"Did something seem strange with Peter today?" Lane asked for a second/third opinion.
"Not really, seemed a little jittery, but he was being tortured." Ray shrugged it off like it was nothing.
"Yeah, I'd say by tomorrow, he'll be back to his old self." Nate said with the same enthusiasm.
That's just when their screens went off and they saw they...got a message.
"We can get messages?" Nate asked, shocked to see this.
Ray opened the message and saw it wasn't from someone they were expecting:
"Imposter Peter."
And below it was an emoji of a black cat underneath it.
"Black Cat?" Lane asked. "Why would she send us a message?"
"And what she talking about imposter Peter?" Nate asked.
Lane took a wild guess and opened the footage of the library where Peter was and watched for a quick second before he immediately began to speed around the library with lightning trailing behind him.
"Oh, god!" Nate cried in terror.
Quickly looking through the other cameras, Lane saw Sara was heading for the library.
"Sara, stay away from the library!" Lane cried into the comms before racing down the halls to get the others.
Sara sadly however didn't have her commlink in as she walked into the library and saw Peter sitting there, reading a book like he usually would.
"Hey." Sara got his attention out of the book. "How you feeling?"
"Better." Peter(Thawne) promised with a smile.
Sara sighed and knew it was probably best to leave him, but they needed to have this talk. "Listen, I know you probably don't wanna talk about it, but we really need to talk about it."
"It?" Peter (Thawne) asked, no idea what she's talking about.
"The aberration you caused." Sara explained.
Thawne was now curious on this version of Peter Parker. The one he knew would never alter time for his own gain, and apparently this version of him has.
"Your sister." Sara said and Thawne was shocked to hear about this. "Did they try and use her back there? You know 'help us, we won't hurt your father, mother, or sister.'"
"What?" Thawne was even more shocked to hear this.
But just then, Lane came in with the speedster cannon and shot Peter, sending him flying into the wall.
"Well, that settles it." Lane said happily at the injured disguised speedster. "You didn't sense that, you're no Spider-Man."
"What did you do?" Sara asked in shock.
Just then, Thawne crawled back up and saw the gun. "My speedster cannon. I didn't know you had those on this Dimension." He then got up and sped Lane into the wall, smacking him and the weapon out of his hands before revealing the familiar face of Eobard Thawne to Sara, who recognized him back from Battleworld.
He then sped off down the halls and started to make it to the bridge.
Just when he was on the way to the bridge, Firestorm blasted him and sent him flying into the wall.
"Firestorm. Been a long time." Thawne stated as he got back up and sped Jax and Stein apart and held them by their throats. "But I was there when the original was created. I know how you work."
"Whatever you're gonna do, do it now!" Jax choked out through the fist.
"Read to die, are we?" Thawne asked.
"I wasn't talking to you." Jax stated when Ray merged from the shoulders and punched Thawne. But when he went for a second blast at the speedster, he ran off and made it to the bridge.
"That's not good." Ray said.
"Cloaking shield disengaged." Gideon reported in.
"That's worse." Jax added.
"Cargo bay, now opening."
"We're dead." The two of them said in unison.
The team all made it back to the doors of the bridge and saw they were locked. All except for Mick and Amaya who are somewhere else onboard, Sara and Lane went to stop Merlyn and his team.
"The speedster locked himself in the bridge." Stein informed the team.
"Great, so he's trapped." Nate said with a shrug.
Ray then scoffed at hearing that. "Call me an optimist."
"Look, just get us inside." Lane asks of Nate. "We can't let this guy do any more damage."
"On it." Nate agreed and tried to pry the doors open when they just opened and the speedster sped out of the bridge.
"Great." Jax sighed.
Lane kept his cover behind a corner of the ship and when the shooting stopped, he took his opening and blasted them down and took his cover again.
"I love this!" Lane cheered, feeling like he's back in the old days.
Back with Mick, he took the amulet and just when he was on his way out, Thawne appeared and stole it right out of his bag.
"Hey, I stole that fair and square." Mick stated.
"This belongs to me!" Thawne stated back and opened the case to see it was empty. "What?"
"Surprise." Mick stated with a smile when a cannon shot Thawne back and Amaya came out of the corner.
Merlyn made it to the bridge with the rest of the team dealing with his men when Sara came down from the ceiling. But they were both trained by the League, and they both were trained the same.
"The League taught you well." Malcom said as he turned to face Sara. "But if you don't hand over the amulet, you will never see your friend again."
Sara suddenly became afraid of what'll happen to Peter and knew she couldn't risk him dying. "What did you do?"
Thawne was taking a bit of a beating across the ship, but it ended quickly and he ended up just speeding them both and got just about ready to kill her.
"I'm gonna kill you. Don't worry. It'll be quick." Thawne promised when suddenly a watch on his hand started to bleep. "Lucky girl."
Thawne then dropped her and sped off, leaving without the amulet.
Port
Well, Peter never thought he would be going out like this. Tied to a cinder block and having power dampening cuffs on.
"Don't look so glum, kiddo. You're going to have some wonderful company at the bottom of this here river." Al promised Peter.
Peter had a look of annoyance on his face, not enjoying his time back in time. "Yeah, forgive me if I don't find that comforting."
"Hmm, well, not much I can say to that." Al shrugged as he then pushed Peter, sending him falling into the lake.
"Peter!" Sara cried as she threw a knife that embedded into the guards back and then she sent a punch across Al's face.
Racing to the water, she was about to dive in when he was tossed out of the water. Standing in shock, Sara looked at the unconscious Peter and down to the water and that's when Felicia Hardy came out of the water, spitting out the water she took and breathed in a whole chunk of air.
"What are you doing here?" Sara asked.
"Same as you. Saving his life." Felicia stated as she caressed Peter's face, looking for any sign of damage, and also taking a quick peek at his face. "Get him back to the ship."
"Why would you care what happened?" Sara asked as Felicia got up and started to walk away and stopped.
"Let's say he doesn't think I care, but between us two girls, he's the reason I joined this Legion of Death. The speedster wants him dead. I want him alive." Felicia explained and then wandered off, almost like nothing occurred.
Waverider
Peter was glad to be home, and after having a checkup with Gideon, he had nothing to worry about from the device they used on him, or the cold from the water.
He was later back in his room when Sara joined him. "It's good to see you're back. The real you."
"Thanks." Peter said with a smile and looked down to a old article on him and the Black Cat. "I still can't believe what Felicia did."
"Seems that girl cares about you." Sara commented.
"I still don't understand. Why would you give up the amulet for me?" Peter wondered,
"Because if there's anything the past year had taught us, between this team, the whole thing with Battleworld and the Warriors, family isn't blood. And this team, we're a family. A messed up one, but a family nonetheless. And I do everything to protect my family. Including yours."
Peter easily saw that was a silent agreement she wouldn't tell the others about his family, and they would keep them safe.
"What's her name?" Sara wondered.
"Teresa." Peter answered with a smile.
"Teresa Parker. Beautiful." Sara complimented.
They lost this battle, but the war was far from over yet.
With the others, Felicia had just met back up with her boys in crime. They were standing in a little circle, looking over the trinket.
"Missed you when I could have used you most. Where were you?" Merlyn asked Felicia.
"Yesh, for someone who won, you are a sourpuss, aren't you?" Felicia asked as she walked over and saw Thawne pitting the two pieces together.
Thawne then twisted it and a holographic projection opened, revealing something none of them understood.
"Wow. A portable planetarium." Darhk commend.
"It's a compass." Thawne stated. "This one leads to something special. Have any of you heard of the Spear of Destiny?"
"Yeah, it was a spear used to penetrate the sight of Christ after he died on the cross." Felicia answered, shocking all of the. "I went to church. When I felt like it."
"Correct. And now it can be used to rewrite reality itself." Thawne informed them why he's interested in it. "And the first step to finding it is with the person that Mr. Darhk met briefly in New York. Captain Rip Hunter."
"I thought the team couldn't find him, so how can you find him?" Felicia asked.
"I have my ways." Thawne replied with a grin, and Felicia didn't like that face.
