When the heroes made their way through the door they found themselves in a courtroom. The group made their way to the front of the courtroom and each took their place at what appeared to be some kind of podiums. At a judge's seat sat a tall man with short brown hair, he held a folder in his hand as he flipped through papers.
"Eli Roberts, Emily Still, Alice Dean, Chris Hafner, Noah Devore, Kyle Mcdermott, and Garrett Cash," he said as he sat the folder down and looked at the Warriors, "So your the band of misfits we've heard whispers of."
"You've heard of us?" Garrett asked.
"Of course they've heard of us or we wouldn't be here." Chris pointed out.
"Of course we've heard of the heroes who shouldn't be." the judge said. "It's a real shame that Mr. Evans-"
"Captain." the other's stated.
"He asked to make a point of that." Eli said.
"It's a shame that Captain Evans couldn't join us," the judge said, "We're having a hard time tracking him down."
"Cut the charades pretty boy," Emily shouted, "I may have flunked out of law school but I understand that we have the right to hear our charges."
"When did you go to law school?" Alice asked.
"She only went for a few weeks before she quit to pursue an 'Acting' Career." The judge said, Emily glared at him. "Listen Warriors, your crime is existence, you shouldn't exist. Your stories ended years ago and your return is the result of a cosmic fluke. Your very existence is destabilizing the sacred timeline. Which is why under most circumstances we would have you all pruned-"
"But." a voice said from behind, the warriors collectively turned and saw that the man who had captured them was sitting in the empty audience room.
"Ladies and gentlemen," The judge said begrudgingly, "This is Agent Simon Filmore."
"Hi there." Simon said
"You will be going with Mr. Fillmore as he explains the situation." the judge said.
"Don't mind Wyatt," Simon said, "He's a bit grumpy today."
"For serious reasons." Judge Wyatt said sternly.
"If you guys would follow me." Simon said as he led the warriors from the courtroom.
Simon led the group to a conference room, there was a long table with chairs on either side. Simon sat at the head of the table and motioned for the other's to sit. The group sat down reluctantly. Simon opened the warriors file.
"Well well well," Simon said, "You kids have quite the track record." The warriors decided to remain silent.
"You don't know anything about us." Kyle said.
"On the contrary Kyle," Simon said as he pressed a button and a hologram of Kyle running at superspeed appeared over the table. "I know everything about you."
"So you've got a beauty shot of Kyle," Emily said, "That doesn't prove anything."
"I know that you started out as a bunch confused Teenagers thrown against the wrath of Thanos," The hologram showed the teams first battle in New York, then to Titan, and then to wakanda, "I know which of your friends died" The hologram played Emily, Eli, Chris, and Kyle turning to dust, "I know about the pains you went through to get them back," the hologram showed the remaining warriors fighting off Thanos at Camp Half-blood, "I know how your fear caused you to turn your back on your friends when they needed you and how reality suffered for it," The video played Chris's vision of a destroyed Hogwarts. He turned to Eli, "I know how your carefree attitude tore the team apart," footage played of the Warriors fighting one another in the streets of New York, "I know about what it cost to stop Malkin," Footage played of Alice being possessed by Malkin, Lane turning to stone, Emily being blasted, and Kyle disintegrating as he ran circles around Malkin, "and I know how grief resulted in the release of the Anti-Monitor destroyed your Multiverse." Footage played of Chris Hafner standing in a maintenance tunnel where he had found the source of an energy signature that matched that of Malkin. He had uncovered a secret door with 12 markings on it.
"At long last, I will have my revenge on what you've done. You killed my friends, you destroyed my Earth and countless others, and I will end you before you can kill anyone else." Chris began to cast a spell that matched the markings on the door. The door opened and the hall was flooded with a bright white light, and suddenly Chris let out a scream of terror as he was pulled into the doorway by an unseen force and it closed behind him. The footage then transitioned to the long line of Infinite Earths being destroyed by AntiMatter.
"So yeah," Simon said as he closed the file and turned the projector off, "I know a little." there was a long pause
"So after that fun trip down memory lane," Eli said sarcastically, "are you going to tell us why we're here."
"Right," Simon said, "Let me pitch you something real quick. Your currently criminals-"
"For doing literally nothing." Noah said.
"But you possess something that we need, and in exchange for your cooperation we will pardon you guys and you guys can do your 'Hero work'." Simon said.
"I'm no genius-" Kyle said before Emily interrupted him.
"Clearly." Emily jabbed, Noah raised his hand for a high five. Which Emily delivered.
"But that seems like a pretty alternative to being vaporised." Kyle finished.
"Agreed," Alice said before turning to Simon, "what is it you need."
"We need your help apprehending an escaped criminal from your original Multiverse." Simon said.
"Wait wait wait," Eli asked, "From our Multiverse? There's nothing left of that Multiverse except us."
"Well there is one thing left," Simon said before pressing a button and the projector showed the holographic image of the Warriors greatest enemy, "Mother Malkin." the warriors looked on in shock.
"I thought the Spectre killed her?" Alice said as she looked at the image of her grandmother wearing Alice's corpse like a suit. Eli noticed how she was having some kind of panic attack and put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Unfortunately not," Simon said, "The Spectre banished Malkin to the mirror dimension and we intervened to arrest her. She was being transported to maximum security but she managed to break out and escaped to Earth-417. There she killed a squad of Minutemen, teamed up with the Peter Parker of that universe and jumped ship as the entire universe was wiped from the face of reality."
"Do we know her plan?" Noah asked.
"Not yet." Simon said, "we figured if anyone could help us take her down it would be you guys."
"Last time she was trying to save the Multiverse from what I assume was the Anti-Monitor." Kyle said.
"I get the feeling that this time she's not exactly looking to protect anything but herself." Chris responded.
"We've been monitoring the timeline for any disturbances," Simon said. "We've found one."
"Where is it?" Alice asked.
Earth-91, The Kiln, 2014
The warriors emerged from one of the TVA's portals in new costume and armor, and found themselves standing in the midst of a cosmic prison. A prison filled with dead bodies.
"What happened here?" Garrett asked as he drew his wand.
"Malkin." Alice said angrily, some of her magic could be seen coursing through her veins. The team split up and looked around, the walls of the prison were covered with burn marks, blood, and generally ripped to shreds.
"Hey guys," Noah said, "your going to want to see this." the team went to where no was standing and saw a version of Peter Parker laying dead beside Rocket Racoon and some of the other guardians. Emily noticed something, Peter was extremely pale.
"Guys," Emily said, "look at Peter, he looks like he's been drained of blood."
"Yeah," Simon said as he pointed to puncture wounds on Peter's neck, "Look at those."
"Why would Malkin steal Peter's blood when she already has her own Peter?" Chris asked before a blaster shot flew past his head. The team went into battle positions and turned around to see Peter Quill standing on a balcony with a massive rifle.
"I may not have been able to kill that witch but I may be able to kill her lakeys." Quill said.
"Lackeys?" Emily said, "We're nobody's lackeys!"
"Technically your our lackeys." Simon said as he pulled out a small device that looked like a glowing grenade.
"What are you doing!?" Garrett asked.
"Relax," Simon said, "It's a reset charge, it will simply revert this timeline back to the way it was supposed to be."
"That's just Retcon, the device." Eli said.
"Yeah," Simon said before he pressed a button on it, "pretty much." Simon threw the grenade across the room and it landed next to Quill. "We better go." Simon opened a portal as the reset charge began to go off and the timeline was reverting back to its original state. "Now!" the Warriors and Simon quickly ran through the portal. What they didn't realize was that as the portal was closing behind them. Peter Quill of Earth-91 had lept through the portal behind them.
