Clementine lost her balance, tripped and fell. A series of gunshots were fired. She landed on her stomach, the impact of the fall causing nausea to flare up.
The child slowly lifted herself up from the snow covered ground. The woman, Arvo's sister was on the ground with a blood patch on her chest. Carlos along with Luke and Sarah hid behind the stone wall. Kenny was firing at the bald man. He hid behind a couple of large rocks, firing back at him with an automatic rifle.
He was shouting at the group in a different language, presumably insults.
Clementine lifted herself up from the ground, making sure she wasn't in the line of fire. She scanned around surveying the area. The man that she shot, layed dead with blood leaking out of the hole in his head. Bonnie and Mike were taking cover behind a couple of trees. Sarita was behind Kenny, understandably shaken up.
So, there's only one left. Clementine was mildly amazed at the fact that everyone seemed to be okay - well, everyone except for Arvo's group. It's funny, he singlehandedly killed his entire group.
"Hey, hey! This doesn't have to get any worse, alright!? Just get outta here!" Kenny tried talking to the bald man to which he shouted back. "Look, ah don't got a damn clue of what you're sayin' but all of your friends are dead! You got the chance to leave, take it!" The man merely ignored him and continued firing his weapon.
Clementine frowned then looked at Arvo who was still trying to revive his dead sister and an idea came to her head. Use him as bait!
"Alright, he ain't gettin' no where wit'em!" Luke abruptly said. "Ah'm gonna go around him, I'll flank him."
Nevermind then.
Carlos said something to him but Clementine couldn't hear him over the gunfire. Then she noticed the infant, cradled in Sarah's arms. The child frowned, eyes wide. How in the hell did it survive!? Last time she saw it, it was about to get devoured by it's own mother and now it was here in Sarah's arms. How!? She quickly stole a glance at Rebecca to find leaning of the edge of the tire with a bullet wound to her head.
Luke went around to the side with his A.K. He trailed over to the right side of the area, from the stone wall to the trees. Kenny was still keeping the man occupied as Luke silently made his way over to the bald man. He came up behind him. "Drop the gun! Do. not. make me kill you!" He warned, his gun locked onto the man.
The gunshots came to a sudden halt and it was silent again aside from the sounds of nature and the wind. Nobody said or did anything for a few moments. Clementine couldn't see much, only that the man still had his gun trained on Kenny who was still behind cover of the trees. Then he slowly lowered his gun and he raised his hands in surrender.
She saw Luke say something to him but couldn't hear. The man began walking out of the woods, a furious expression on his face almost like he was trying to force himself not to do anything. Clementine didn't know what it was but something about the man told her that he was impulsive.
Of course Luke was going to keep him alive. It's Luke, she wouldn't expect anything less from him. If he did kill him then she would've thought something was wrong.
"Why the hell're we keepin' him alive!?" Kenny exclaimed.
"'Cause Luke's an idiot," Clementine replied. "Didn't you tell him that he could leave?" The child gestured at the bald man.
"Well, ah didn't say that we can take him with us now did I?"
"Oh. Right."
"Yeah, exactly!" Kenny then turned to Luke. "Luke! What the hell're you..." His voice trailed off as Clementine couldn't be bothered listening to their shouting match. If she knew them well enough, nothing was going to change anything. Luke was deadset on keeping his "morality" and besides that, she was pretty sure everybody was going to disagree with the idea of executing them. Even if their lives depended on it which it kinda does. They could make a move to kill them, steal their food but that doesn't matter. Why? Because morality was much more important than staying alive to this group.
Screw everything else, screw staying alive. Screw my love ones, my morality is much more important than my well being.
Arvo was now sobbing over his dead sister. The child took it upon herself to give his sister some "mercy". By mercy, she was really just going to go over there to make sure she stayed dead and Clementine couldn't see no puncture wound in her head. She walked past Bonnie and Mike who were arguing with Kenny. She pulled out her pistol, walked over to the corpse of Arvo's sister and fired a shot into it's head.
"NO!!!" Arvo screamed out, his cries echoed throughout the vicinity. He turned at Clementine and charged for the child.
By sheer instinct, she backstepped and fired three more shots into the teen.
"Jesus Christ!" Bonnie exclaimed.
"Clementine, what the hell're you doin'!?" Luke rushed over to the teen. It seemed like he was already weak, he wasn't even clutching at his wounds.
"What!?" Clementine shrugged her shoulders, a puzzled look on her face. She turned at everyone, discovering the shocked looks they were giving her. "Why are you guys looking at me like that? I just shot his sister."
"Why!?" Mike exclaimed.
"Because she was gonna turn into a walker, that's why!" Clementine snapped at the man. She turned back to look at the dying teen on the ground. "It's not my fault that Arvo couldn't-well-whatever! It's Arvo's fault for trying to kill me!" She turned back to the group with an angry look.
"You shouldn't have shot his sister like that!" Bonnie scolded her... well, tried to.
"You should shuddup, Bonnie!" The nerve of this woman. Thinks she actually has a say in what goes on in the group. It seemed like everybody was against her, Sarita and Sarah stayed quiet but they didn't have to say to anything; Judging by Sarita's frown and Sarah's usual timid look.
She caught the murder eyes of the bald man, staring daggers straight into her. He looked like he was close to committing a massacre. Kenny was holding the man at gunpoint, probably the only thing stopping the man from hurting anyone.
