The child stood there, a bitter expression on her face as the baby cried. She had killed Sarah and all that was left was the baby. She could just kill it and be done with it or she could save the bullet and just leave.

Clementine wasn't going to take it with her, she wasn't going to risk her life saving a baby. Some drool factory. Disrespectful to Rebecca and Alvin's name, but honestly; Rebecca had cheated on Alvin with Carver. That baby wasn't Alvin's, it was Carver's and one less Carver in the world was perfect.

So if anyone was disrespectful, it was Rebecca, not her. She wasn't obligated to take care of that psychopath, it was Carver's. It will grow up to be just like him and she wasn't going to allow that. If there was an afterlife, Clementine hoped that he was watching her.

The child walked away, Sarah was dead. She was bound to turn soon, hopefully this time, the baby would actually be killed. She was going to turn soon and she needed to get going. She couldn't stay out here any longer.

After she had left her dead friend, she set off to look for the rest stop Kenny had mentioned.

It took her few minutes before she finally saw something. A playground of some sort. It looked run down, a broken wooden sign and the rest stop had a shattered window.

She walked over to it and she opened it. "Hello?" She called out, glancing around the place and finding no one. To her right was a public toilet, male and female and to her left was a broken soda machine. It must've been the rest stop, Kenny was talking about.

She sighed. No one was there, she was the only one. Was she the only one who made it? She found Sarah out in the blizzard, on her own with the baby. It was probably long gone by now but Sarah was alone. She was in the truck with her dad when they took off. So, what happened to the vehicle?

If she wasn't in the vehicle then it must've been destroyed then. Or crashed? Most likely, why else would she have left the truck? She decided to wait for Kenny or Sarita, hopefully they would turn up soon. If Mike or Carlos turn though... well, lucky her.

After waiting for a few minutes, out of her peripherals, she saw movement out in the blizzard. From which she came from. She waited for it to get closer, it was probably a walker but as it got closer, it became apparent that it was two figures. Sarita and Kenny popped into her head.

As the two figures came closer, revealing that it was Kenny but not Sarita...

Mike was the other.

Clementine withdrew her pistol and ran outside, her gun already trained on him. She opened fired three times until the gun clicked empty. She didn't register that it was, she just pulling the trigger, deadset on killing Mike for what he had done.

"Clementine! Stop!" Kenny yelled at the child, harshly grabbing her arms.

Clementine immediately responded by yanking her arms back and quickly backhanding the older man across the face. She paused, shocked. "I-I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!"

Kenny rubbed at his cheek, an angry look on his face. He then faced her, flounced toward the young girl causing her to tumble backward. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" He grappled at the girl's arm.

"M-Mike left me behind!!!" Clementine timidly exclaimed. She dropped her empty pistol and felt Kenny's grip loosen.

"What?" He frowned, concerned.

"H-He-He left me behind! H-he... took the truck and just drove off!"

His eyes then softened at the child, sparing a glance at Mike bleeding put on the ground.

"He left me behind when you a-a-and Sarita went out to go look for gas! He got me to wait outside the truck and just drove off!"

"Oh shit... oh shit. Ah'm so sorry hun'." Kenny brought the child closer, engulfing her in a hug. He released her, cupping her cheeks. "Are you alright? You ain't hurt?" He inquired, looking her over.

Clementine shook her head. "No, I-I'm fine."

"Okay, okay... good." He nodded before turning back at Mike, no sympathy for the dying man. "And, what about Carlos? A-and Sarah?" Clem hesitated at the mention of her (former) friend's name. The man kneeled down to her. "They all just left you behind?"

The child merely responded with a nod.

The older man sighed before bringing her in for another hug to which she returned. Once they separated the child frowned. "Kenny? Where's Sarita?"

"She 'n ah got separated. There were too many walkers between us, we had to split up."

"Is she okay?"

"Last ah saw 'er. She knows how to take care of herself she'll be fine." It seemed like he was trying to convince himself more than he was trying to convince her. "We should go back inside but first we gotta finish off this piece 'a shit!" Kenny pulled out his own pistol.

Clementine caught Mike's fearful gaze and all she could do was grin as Kenny pulled the trigger.

The two sat inside the rest stop. It felt like it had been hours since they went inside. Kenny was now getting anxious and Clementine knew why.

Sarita was still gone and honestly Clementine was worried too. She didn't want that woman to die, she liked her. A good friend, she didn't know if she would've gone with Mike's plan in abandoning her that was something she tried not thinking about.

Many of her friends had turned on her. Sarah, Mike... Carlos. She still hadn't seen him. For all she knew, he could be dead. As he deserved. The only loyal friends she had left were Kenny and Sarita. That was it.

Sarah had stopped being her friend the moment she killed Arvo. She became afraid of her, she wasn't even talking with her anymore and when she and her father left Mike? All gloves were off, whatever they had in the past, whatever friendship or bond they had? That was all gone. Obviously it didn't mean anything to them seeing as how they just left her like that.

It hurt. It hurt greatly. The people she thought were friends, abandoned her just like that. Left her out there in the middle of a snowstorm as if her friendship meant nothing to them.

As if now, Sarita and Kenny were the only ones she could depend on and not even that! How long would it take for them to turn on her!? When Clementine shot Mike, it seemed like Kenny was about to hurt her. She thought Sarah was her best friend but in the end, she was the one who Clementine behind.

Something appeared in the blizzard, another figure. Perhaps it was Sarita? She was quickly proven wrong as the silhouette that was in the snowstorm revealed it to be Carlos. Clementine stood up, emotions high but before she could say anything, Kenny had kicked open the doors and started marching toward him.

"Kenny!? What are y-" The doctor didn't finish, Kenny had clocked the man right in the jaw. He stumbled backward, clutching at his sore chin. "What is the matter with you!?"

Clementine came outside, joining the two men. "You left me behind! That's what's a matter!"The child roared.

"Clementine! You're okay!?"

"AM I OKAY!? You, Mike a-and Sarah! You all left me behind!" She roared, approaching him.

"What!? No! No-no-no, this is a misunderstanding! We did not leave you behind, Clementine!" Carlos exclaimed, backing up.

"Shut the hell up! You did! You just did!"

"No! That was all Mike, we were not going to leave you behind. Mike just got into the truck and left! Me and Sarah didn't have a choice!"

Clementine frowned in confusion, stopping in her tracks.

When Carlos saw this, he continued. "When Mike got into the truck, he left! Okay!? But I did not and I mean did not have anything to do with it! Okay!? I even stopped him! I stopped him!" He exclaimed, gesturing to himself.

Clem froze, staring into the man's eyes with Sarah flooding back into her memory.

"I stopped him but we crashed the truck and I was unconscious. When I woke up, Sarah was gone. We did not abandon you Clementine! Mike did that! Not us!" The doctor finished.

Sarah running in the blizzard came back into her mind. Clementine shooting her at point blank without remorse, no guilt, no hesitation. It all came flooding back to her in an instant. Sarah hadn't abandoned her... she killed her own friend for no reason at all. She thought that she and her father had just agreed with Mike's plan in bailing on her when in truth, it was all him. Carlos and Sarah were just caught in the middle of it.

Oh god... oh god, I killed her. I killed Sarah. The child lost her breath, both hands clutched at her head as she began idly backing up.

Kenny saw the distress look on the child's face. "Clem?"

Her breath became heavy, her legs beginning to lose balance.

Sarah never betrayed her... and Clementine killed her.
