Currently, most of the devils have lost their numbers due to the last war, and as a solution, they are trying to increase the number of reincarnated devils using the Evil Pieces in order to keep their species alive.

The humans, especially the United States government, the World Health Organization, and Japan's Ministry of Health, have decided that the reincarnation of devils using Evil Pieces is a form of bioterrorism against humanity by the devils, and they are determined to fight it. Although it has not been made public, the Japanese Ministry of Health has decided to take a thorough stance in the fight against the devil and the fallen angels who are attacking humanity. In case you're wondering, Hiiro himself has fought not only stray devils, but also higher level devils since he was in America and hadn't gotten his medical license yet.

The other threat, in fact, the true purpose for which CR was established, is not an exaggeration.

"I've fought a few stray devils in my time, but the Bugster… there's another enemy in Japan that isn't devils, isn't there?"

Yes, the real reason why the CR was founded was to fight the Bugster, a monster born from a mysterious new computer virus that infects the human body, known as the Bugster virus. It all started two years ago in Japan with a biohazardous incident involving a large number of Bugster viruses, known as Zero Day.

To tell the truth, organizations that fight against devils and fallen angels existed before the CR was established, but things changed when a mysterious new force called the Bugster was born. Fortunately, the Bugster virus has only been confirmed in Japan, but even so, the fallen angels and devils alone are a nuisance.

One year ago, the WHO and the Ministry of Health decided to establish a special agency focusing on the research and treatment of anti-Bugster and Bugster viruses, and CR was established with the cooperation of Genm Corporation, one of the world's leading game companies that has established a treatment for the Bugster virus-caused illness, the game disease.

"Nice to meet you, Dr. Hiiro, I'm Ren Amagasaki, the vice president and head of the compliance department at Genm Corporation. In case you're wondering, my motto is, 'To this whole world, I, LOVE, YOU.'"

The man, Ren Amagasaki, spoke with an obviously pretentious air and language, and handed Hiiro his business card.

"R-right, hello… by the way, I've been invited by the Genm's president…"

Hiiro was a little taken aback by the tension in Ren Amagasaki's voice as he spoke.
