waldvogelleo97 - it was a callback for the ending of chapter 3. You know, the whole ending of someone coming to her screaming: "COURTNEY!" "LISTEN TO ME!" "IT'S BECAUSE OF PETER!" "FEAR HIM!" "FIND US!"? Yeah, that's a big point for the story.

The next day, Courtney was back in school and was talking to Yolanda and Riri about everything that's happened in her basement to get their thoughts on the case.

"I've been reading on time travel, Kang the Conqueror used it, the Flash could do it, so I'm thinking this girl that showed up was a future prophet who came back to warn us of something." Courtney informed the two of them as they were in the lunch line.

"So you think that Peter's not a threat now, but will become a threat later?" Riri asked as she paid for her meal and looked over to where Peter was sitting alongside Cindy who's just kinda hanging out at the school. With it being two days left of the schoolyear, she's just going to catch up on everything over summers school. "Peter Richards?"

"Yeah, I don't see him being a threat." Yelena agreed with her. "I mean, he's a little down, but the guy watched his own father die in front of him after promising to be there for him and his sister. I'd give him a break."

"Are you sure you're not in denial?" Riri asked.

"Regarding what?" Courtney asked, looking at their irritated faces as she should obviously know what they're talking about.

BATTLEWORLD:

"So, I take a five minute nap and suddenly everything comes apart?" Peter asks as Yolanda gets up and runs to help Rick as they were fighting on the Helicarrier to save their only way home.

"Peter...you're okay?" Courtney asks in shock.

"What, you thought getting stabbed and bleeding to death was going to keep me down?" Peter asks as he removes his mask and reveals he's perfectly okay.

Courtney chuckles at his humor before approaching him closer and ends up kissing him.

Peter was taken aback a bit but kissed her back.

"Oh! That." Courtney finally understood what they were talking about. "No, it has nothing to do with that."

"You ever notice neither of you talked about that day?" Riri asked her.

"We've talked about that day." Courtney stated.

"Nope. Literally none of us have in respect to the fact his father died that day." Yolanda reminded her.

"Yeah, I'd try maybe talking to him." Riri said. "It really just seems that you're looking for trouble."

"Well, in our business, trouble seems to find us." Courtney said as they walked over and sat down with Cindy, Peter, and Beth. "Hey, Beth. Where is everyone?"

"Uh, mostly making up for some missing tests, or turning in missing assignments." Beth answered as she seemed more focused on Peter as she had a sympathetic look.

"Everything alright, Peter?" Riri asked her friend who just seems to be staring off.

Peter suddenly shook himself out of his head after hearing his name being called. "What? Oh, yeah, I'm fine."

"You think it's cool to have your parents in prison?" They heard Artemis Crock say and all turn to face her.

"Come on, Artemis. That's not what I meant."

"It is. Scares the hell out of the other team." Artemis stated as she carried a hockey stick across the lunchroom and was walking in their direction. "It was a total frame job for some Bonnie and Clyde robberies way before I was even born. Someone set them up."

She then turned to their table and spun her stick, suddenly giving Peter a flashback to back on Battleworld and all he saw was a memory of the Bat of Mischief doing the exact same thing she's doing.

His entire body suddenly turning against as he jumped from his chair and grabbed the 'staff' and spun around, sending Artemis flying over his back and sliding across the cafeteria.

Peter then suddenly realized that Artemis wasn't the Bat of Mischief and looked down at the stick and dropped it before backing away.

"Jeeze, what the hell is wrong with you, Barton?" Artemis asked as Peter just felt his entire head start to scream at him, his senses going haywire, and he couldn't take it anymore and just took off running.

"Peter!" Cindy cried to him, but he just ran out the doors and left them behind, but Cindy quickly got up and followed him.

Peter ran as far away as he could until he came up to an alley where he dropped down and just grabbed ahold of his head.

Everything felt like it was getting worse. His mind felt like it was crumbling around him, he did his best to pull himself together, but it ended up making things ten times worse.

"Hey." Someone called, causing Peter to look up and see a young girl with long blonde hair looking down curiously at Peter. "You okay?"

"I...I've got a lot on my mind." Peter tells her as he curled up and tried to calm down.

The girl then walked over and leaned on the wall. "Mind if I joined you?"

Peter had nothing to say, and it seems she took that as an answer and sat down beside him to try and comfort him and Peter was actually starting to feel better around her.

"Thanks." Peter tells her.

"What's your name?" She asked him.

"I'm Peter...Peter Richards." Peter introduced himself to her. "You?"

'My names...please don't laugh." She begged Peter, confusing him on why he would do that. "My names Phoebe. Phoebe Cuckoo."

Peter actually did need to hold back a chuckle at hearing that, yet again he knows weirder names. Okay, none come to mind, but he met a guy named Hiccup on a parallel earth, so that checks out.

"Nice to meet you, Phoebe. You new in town?" Peter asked.

"Yeah, I moved here with my other two triplet sisters." Phoebe answered him. "Bit of a warning, I'm told we look alike. Me, Celeste, and Irma."

Peter was surprised to hear a triplet family and knew that it was gonna take some time to tell them apart. "Well, I can't wait to meet them."

Just then, Peter noticed Cindy was looking around until his senses went off and Cindy's suddenly did the same thing and saw Peter and Phoebe.

"Oh, Peter, there you are." Cindy said in relief as she made her way over to him. "Who's your new friend?"

"Cindy, this is Phoebe. Phoebe, this is Cindy." Peter introduced them to one another.

"Wow, try saying that ten times fast." Cindy joked as the two of them stood up. "Well, welcome to Blue Valley, Phoebe. How long have you been in town?"

"Oh, me and my family moved in late last night." Phoebe tells her. "We're night people. Speaking of which, I need to get back to them."

"Well, maybe we'll get together sometime, get to know each other better." Cindy tells her.

"I'd like that." Phoebe tells them with a smile before walking off down the street and Cindy slid down next to Peter.

"You okay?" Cindy asks.

"Yeah...I just...needed some air." Peter said as Cindy just slipped down and pulled her friend close, and he allowed her to hug him. "Thanks."

"No problem." Cindy said as they just stayed there.

Later on, Scott went home and saw his folks were still out. Seeing that he has the house to himself, he placed his suit down and was looking over the changes that the S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists did to enhance it.

But before he could get to deep into it, he heard something shatter and he quickly turned around to see what it was.

"Hello?" Scott calls out to the home but gets no response.

But that changes when the second he turned around he was punched in the face and sent flying across the house.

The second Scott got his head back, he looked he saw that the person who punched him was wearing an outfit similar to his.

"Now who the hell are you?" Scott asked.

Meanwhile, at the Whitmore household, Courtney was looking over a file for The Thinker thinking back to the events of the day. After Peter's little stunt, she was called into the principle office after school and learned she needs to take summer school after failing some classes.

She then reached into the school yearbook and was wondering about Cindy Burman. Wondering where she's gotten to or of her friends were right about what happened to her.

But then she heard something that sounded like glass shattering downstairs. Quickly grabbing the cosmic staff, she made it downstairs and looked around the downstairs when she saw someone was downstairs.

She was about Courtney's age and had short white hair and a darker skin tone, though it was hard to tell with no light.

The figure then noticed Courtney she got into a fight stance and charged at her. Courtney charged back and swung the staff but missed when the figure dodged and then suddenly raised her hand and Courtney almost got shocked by a bolt of lightning that exited her hand.

But luckily the Staff was faster as it raised itself to take the blast. The figure then used moves the staff before it could blast her and split the door into two.

Scott quickly threw a punch at the mysterious figure, only for them to block the punch and send a kick at him which Scott easily blocked.

Scott then went to knee them when the figure shrank down and him flying into the counter where the suit was, but he immediately then grabbed the suit and dragged it to the floor with him.

The figure then walked around the corner and saw that Scott was gone.

Before they could question what happened, Scott regrows and punched them in the face and sent them flying across the room, but they immediately shrank down and revealed to have wings.

"Wings?!" Scott cried when he was then punched in the face again and sent flying back into the table. "Ow." He then began to crawl away and try to get away from the figure who raised their fists to him. "Who the hell are you?"

The figure didn't respond and just blasted Scott and electrified him with a stinger.

Courtney dodged the sudden blast of electricity again and the staff dodged her before blasting a beam at the figure and was able to scorch her cheek.

But to Courtney's surprise, her face healed up within seconds. "Who are you?"

The figure then raised her arms and began to float off the ground and the wind began to pick up and blow the windows open and her eyes began to glow white as her eyes.

"I'm the daughter of Wolverine and Storm." She stated to Courtney before she raised her hands and summoning lighting.

"What is going on?!" Someone asked and they looked to see that Barbra, Pat, and Mike Dugan watching the two of them and saw the mess the two of them left during the fight.

"I...I think there's a misunderstanding." Courtney tells them.

"Yeah, I can see that." Pat said with a sigh.

In the hospital, Avery Ho's being looked over by Meena Dhawan was looking over her vitals.

"Strange to see you're still asleep. By now, I was awake." Meena tells her.

And just as she said that, Avery gasped and jumped awake.

"Oh my god!" Meena jumped back and was shocked she was finally awake.

"Where am I?" Avery asked.

"Hey, hey, hey. Calm down." Meena soothed her down. "I'm Dr. Meena Dhawn. I'm a doctor here, you've been in a coma."

"What?" Avery asked in shock. "For...for how long?!"

"Three months." Meena answered, scaring Avery at the thought.

SOMEWHERE:

Kate Bishop was currently sneaking out of the AIM Facility she just planted the charges to and ran through the snowy forest before finally stopping and seeing that she's far enough away.

"Okay, Clint, I'm clear. Where are you?" Kate said into their comms but didn't get any kind of response back from the old man. "Clint?"

She waited for a good minute, but still got no response from him.

"Clint? Can you hear me?" Kate asked into the comm, wanting some sort of response.

"D- it!" Clint's voice finally went through, and Kate prays he's a safe distance away and blows the entire facility sky high, as an gigantic explosion is shockwaves throughout the entire forest.

"Clint, is everything okay?" Kate asked and heard gunshots and arrows being blasted. "Clint? Clint?!"

TWENTY YEARS LATER...

In the dead of night, a half dozen rundown trucks are driving down the empty deserted highway. The entire world looks just as bad, with no sign of life, no sign of anything for thousands of miles. Nobody is left, but the strongest and deadliest people of the world.

As it kept going, it came across a figure standing in the middle of the street.

"Hey! Get out of the way!" The man in charge demanded as he took his head out the window, quickly followed by him getting shot in the face by an arrow.

The figure removed their hood to reveal an elder version of Kate Bishop.

"Shit! Shoot her!" The driver of the second truck demanded just as an explosion goes off on the back of the truck. Once he turned around, he saw an raccoon holding a gigantic weapon on his face before it was blasted.

"Got her." Rocket Raccoon mocked as Kate got into the truck and tossed the now dead driver out.

"Secure the weapon?" Kate asked him.

"Yep. You sure this is gonna work?" Rocket asks.

"We have to try. Otherwise we lost Avery for nothing." Kate said deterrently before driving off into the darkness.

What they didn't know was that there was someone watching them with great interest.

"Stealing my toys? Now that's something I never thought you'd stoop down to." The figure said as he stood on a platform and watched as they drove off in the distance. "When will they learn? When will they learn that you can't change time? Because that's what lead us here."

He is a tall slim man wearing a helmet with a strange collar and a helmet to match. Shutting down the hologram, he turned to watch his empire he created from scratch.

Where others saw the end of the world, he used it as the means to create a better world. He marched through his palace and towards his throne where he sat and watched as all of the events leading up to his rise of power are still underway as it should be.

"My dearest, Kang." A woman said as she approached the man on the throne. She had long flowing hair that was covered by a yellow crown with a visor attached to it. She wears an elegant blue dress with a cape that covered her neck down to her hips and covered her arms. "Wouldn't it be easier to just be rid of these people instead of toying them like this?"

"No. My beloved, Ravonna." Kang said as he watched the events unfold in the past and invited his wife to watch the events of the past unfold as they always have. "Everything must go as it always has for my rise to always occur. And even though they're a pain in our world, they're a necessary part in my rise to power. Even filth serves a purpose."
