Guest - Something like that is coming, yes.
That was the weirdest and strangest night that the team have ever had. Going to take down Trickshot, who only turned out to have an army of clones of himself at his side. The three girls he has with him are also clones/daughters of the deceased Emma Frost, member of the X-Men. And then the girl who Courtney claimed brought the message from the future revealed herself to be the Flash.
"Wait, so...you were struck by lightning?" Courtney asked Avery.
"Yeah, and I spent a few months in a coma." Avery commented with a shrug.
"And where did you find her?" Peter asked, looking towards Cassandra.
"She was just getting taken away by AIM and escaped when me and Simon were flying past. We got her out of there...and let's say her story was so crazy, I just had to believe it." Jessica explained to them all and looked over to Simon. "And I'll be taking him to Oa to teach him how to be a Green Lantern, so you probably won't see me again for a while."
"Well, you said when you found him you'd be leaving again." Peter guesses.
"Yeah, and this guy's not exactly willing to be taught." Jessica sighed and knew she had her work cut out for her today.
"So, what's your story?" Joey asked Cassandra.
"My mother's an archeologist, and a few months ago at a dig site near Angkor Wat in Cambodia, everything changed My mother had found and went to explore this dangerous section of a temple we found. When I found her, she was being attacked by a liquid metal." Cassie started her story and saw all of their confused faces. "I wish I was making this up. But it's the truth. I was trying to save her, in the process I found two ancient bracelets, which turned out to be related to the metal. They transformed my clothes into this sort of armor and gave me new insights into what the metal was. It turns out it was an alien parasite, and I knew my mom wasn't going to be strong enough to control it. So I conned the metal to release her and choose me instead, but instantly regretted it, as I couldn't master it either. But luckily before it could do anything, the temple around us collapsed, meaning that nobody will ever find that liquid again. Luckily me and mom got out of there before anyone got hurt. Anyways, then I was...lead by the bracelets to find this." She reached down and revealed the Lasso of Truth to them. "It's a lasso that forces whoever's encased by it to be forced to tell the truth."
"You serious?" Rick scoffed. "There's no way a rope can force you to tell the truth."
Cassie saw they needed a demonstration and threw the lasso over to Chavez who immediately caught it and it wrapped around her forearm.
"What was that?" Chavez asked.
"Tell us something you'd never say." Cassie demanded Chavez.
Chavez scoffed and rolled her eyes, not believing her friends are actually believing this. "Come on, who's believing this?" That's when she started to feel like her inside was getting twisted. "I believe that no matter where I go, there's always going to be a world ending threat. Starting with the fact my original home and my family were taken and almost everyone else I care about in this room were almost taken from me during Battleworld. Which is why I act snarky and annoyed, because I'm afraid of losing all of you."
The team were shocked and touched by her words as Pat came in. "Hey, team. How is everything?"
"You mean besides the bombshells of the previous night of Trickshot being a clone, and still out there somewhere, him being the father of the triplets who are clones of Emma Frost, there's a lot of things that's been happening." Bobbie listed everything that's happened.
"Good point." Pat agreed a lot did happen. "Well, after our confrontation with Charles, I had a surprise visit from an old friend." He then gestured to the doors of the garage when they opened and two members of the Dora Milaje with two, oversized shields. "Everyone, this is Shuri." The two women then moved their shields to reveal the Princess to them.
"Talks, girls. But I think I've got it from here." Shuri promised and they both walked and vanished.
"Whoa." Yolanda commented on their stealth.
"Wait, Princess? Wakanda?" Peter asked.
"Sweet." Phoebe commented.
"Yeah, she needs to get out of the kingdom for a few days and apparently they've been keeping up on their news and know about the new Avengers and JSA." Pat explained to them.
"Wait, wasn't Black Panther from Wakanda?" Teresa asked.
"Yep. He's her brother." Pat confirmed.
"Oh. Whoops." Teresa whispered.
"You're the new Falcon, right?" Shuri asked as she approached Teresa and spun her around to take a look at her pack. "Your tech is incredible. I'm a huge fan of your engineering that must've gone into this."
"I don't know where to go with this." Teresa muttered.
"And you must be Hourman." Shuri said as she looked to Rick. "America Chavez, Wild Cat, Dr. Mid-Night, Iceman, Stargirl, Dr. Strange, and Spider-Man. I've done my research."
"Wow, okay." Cindy said in surprise on how well she's aware of them already. "And just to update your data, I'm Silk, Your Majesty."
"Please, just Shuri is fine." Shuri tells them. "So, where is your other members? Ironheart, Firestar, Quake, Ghost Rider, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Green Lantern?"
"You just missed the Lantern." Joey broke to her. "Both of them actually."
"Firestar, Quake, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch moved to the X-Men Mansion to keep an eye on the Mutants that we rescued from AIM a while back." Courtney explained to Shuri.
"Ghost Rider left to seek vengeance elsewhere." Chavez added.
"Riri's probably back home working on A.M.I." Peter guessed.
At the airport of the next town over from Blue Valley, Nadia, Hope, and Scott have made it and we're looking over the tracker that Hope made to scan for the signature she gained on where her father's being kept.
"Okay, so the signal is coming from a AIM base that's located in what looks to be in the middle of nowhere." Hope commented.
"Well, AIM likes to hide in the middle of nowhere, so that way nobody drops in unexpectedly." Scott stated to them, but they weren't interested in the obvious.
"And there's no way we're gonna just sneak in there undetected, but I was able to find out about a transport of AIM materials a few dozen miles away from it." Hope tells the two of them where they're going to be headed. "Once we get there, we sneak on board, maybe see what it is they're transporting, and more importantly, find and save dad."
"Alright, sounds easy enough. But I'd worry about what it is they're hiding in that base." Scott said, causing the sister to sigh and turn to face him.
"Why?" Nadia asked.
"Because what they might be hiding could be a part of the Big Five." Scot explained, only confusing them more.
"What the hell is the Big Five?" Nadia asked.
"Androids, aliens, mutants, dimensional beings, and wizards." Scott listed the five to them.
"That's not a thing." Hope stated.
"Nope, it's a thing. Every time we fight AIM, it's one of those five." Scott stated.
"Well, who do you think we're going to fight? Skynet?" Hope asked him.
"Ha! Ultron was basically Skynet who could fly!" Scott stated with victory. "Think about it. But that's not the point."
"Let's just get going before you two get any more unwanted attention." Nadia stated as everyone in the place started to stare at them.
"Good point. Let's go." Hope agreed as they sneaked off towards the restrooms where they all changed back into their respected suits.
Back in Blue Valley, Riri was indeed back home, trying to figure out why A.M.I.'s code keeps glitching out on her. But while she worked on the mask, she heard her sister and mother talking outside her room.
Working fast, Riri went to the stand that was holding her suit and pushed a button, hiding the suit underneath her bed.
"She's just gonna say no." Sharon Williams, her sister, stated.
"You should still at least ask her." Ronnie Williams, her mother, retaliated. "She's a teenage girl, not a robot."
"Really? She has a schedule like one." Sharon stated when Riri looked and noticed the mask wasn't hidden and quickly picked it up before throwing it under her blanket.
"Riri?" Ronnie asked as she opened the door to her room and they saw Riri was sitting up on her bed, her feet up to keep her mask hidden under a blanket while reading.
"Hey. What's up?" Riri asked as she kept her face focused on the book.
"Uh, are you okay?" Ronnie asked her daughter. "I mean, you haven't come down yet."
"Fine. Just doing some morning reading." Riri shrugged.
"Well, I was going to go out with some friends to get some stuff. Wanna come?" Sharon asked her sister.
"Nah, I'm fine." Riri promised. "I was going to finish up reading the chapter and go hand with some friends."
"Suit yourself." Sharon stated and walked out of the room with her mother. "Told you, around the clock. Just like a robot."
"Did she just call you a machine?" A.M.I. asked Riri from the mask hub.
Riri rolled her eyes and removed the blanket to take the mask out. "It's cool, A.M.I., Sharon doesn't really get me. To her, I'm just the sixteenth year old genius freak." She then placed the mask back down on the table and connected it to the computer and went back to work going through her code.
"Perhaps spending time with her would help." A.M.I. offered as help to her.
"Nah, we just don't have anything to talk about most of the time." Riri sighed and went searching for the virus in her code. "Besides, I have you and the gang for friends."
"I am flattered, but an Artificial Multifaceted Intelligence is not really the same as a friend." A.M.I. tells Riri.
"Tell that to Beth and her goggles." Riri muttered jokingly. "Now be quiet, I need to find out what's wrong with your code and stop it from spreading."
On an airplane heading over their location, Scott, Hope, and Nadia were all inside of a small unnoticeable crack over the jump point.
"It's freezing up here!" Scott cried. "How are you two not freezing?"
"We have flannel lining on ours." Hope said with a smirk. "We're over the drop point now."
"Let's go!" Nadia cried, having enough of these two trying to up one another and finally had a reason to jump off this plane.
As she dropped and activated her wings, Hope dropped and followed after, and Scott sighed as he climbed onto another set of his.
"Okay, Ant-tonio, let's show them how we do things." Scott said as he and the ant crawled out and flew after the sisters. As they started flying over the area, they saw some small town with the AIM vehicles nearby.
Scott then heard something bleeping and looked down to see it came from his suit.
"Uh, oh!" Scott cried as his suit began to malfunction and he regrew to his normal size and he fell the last 200 feet. Scott cried as he fell and smacked his head against a tree, followed by his leg getting smacked and him spinning until he finally hits the ground and groaned in agonizing pain.
Then that's when the two fairies flew down and laughed. "I wish I was recording that."
"You okay?" Nadia asked him.
"Get out of my face before I swat the two of you." Scott warned them both.
"Okay, come on, get up." Hope demanded as they al made their way towards the vehicles.
Once they made it into town, they saw the supplies being loaded onto the truck, using anti-gravity tech to lift the crates.
"Looks like they're bringing supplies into their base." Hope took a guess as they all met back up.
"So if we sneak onboard, we'll be able to see where they're hiding dad." Nadia whispered.
"Why are you whispering? I doubt they'll be able to hear us." Scott stated.
"Oh, yeah." Nadia suddenly realized. "But I say we take them down and highjack the truck."
"You think that's a good idea?" Scott asked.
"It's not great, but it's durable." Hope shrugged. "We can take them."
"I'm sorry, is there a plan, or are you two winging it? Pun intended or not intended, take your pick."
"All right, let's move!" They heard someone say as they closed the trucks and began to move.
Scott then used one of the cameras on one of his ants and saw someone curled up in the back. "Oh my god, they have someone in the back."
Nadia then immediately flew off, leaving Hope and Scott to quickly chase after her.
Nadia catches up quickly and used her size to slip down in the door and regrew before retracting her mask.
"What do you see?" Hope asked her sister.
Nadia opened one of the containers and see it's filled with...arc reactors?
"We'll, they must have dad somewhere. Either that or brought Tony Stark back from the grave." Nadia said as she looked and saw a lot of robotic parts as well in other crates. "But knowing these people let's not rule out that possibility." She muttered to herself as she kept looking around.
Just then, someone came out of the shadows, revealing a girl with short black hair that looked to be around their age.
"I found the hostage." Nadia reported in. "Hey, are you alright?"
The girl just grew a grin and walked out of the shadows to reveal she's wearing a suit that's all green with black gloves, boots and middle.
"What the he-" Nadia asked when she was smacked by a tail attached to her suit and sent her flying out of van and shrinking down, allowing her wings to save her life and quickly flew up.
The woman smiled as she came out and saw the three of them, using some goggles on her face. "I can see you."
"Oh, come on." Hope sighed as the girl crawled onto the roof of the truck and shot acid out from her tail.
Hope regrew to normal size and kicked her in the face, but that ended with the tail wrapping around her neck. But luckily Scott was there and grew to normal size to then spun around to then kick the Scorpion girl in the face. That sent her toppling and letting Hope go before falling off of the truck.
"Good for you to finally join the fight, Scott." Hope sighed in annoyance.
Several more armored wearing guards joined then sent a repulsers blast at them all, causing the three of them to shrink down and leap in to fight. Well, Nadia and Hope do it, and the minute Scott does it, his suit starts to spark out on him again and instead of shrinking, he ended up growing larger and falling off the top of the car in the process. Once he fell, his overgrown fist smashed one of the trucks, destroying it in the process.
"Hope, what did you do to my suit?" Scott asked in annoyance as he got up and ran after the truck, feeling weaker every time he breathed.
"I didn't do anything! I fixed it!" Hope stated as she raised her fist and blasted one of their guns, also shrinking their hand in the process.
"Well, it doesn't look like it!" Scott cried as the second he reached them, he ended with shrinking again, but this time he ended the same size of a five year old, and ended up hanging from the bar holding the mirror for the driver side.
"Just hold on!" Nadia said as she shrank down and then regrew before kneeing a man in the face, breaking his visor mask.
"Kinda the only thing I can do!" Scott stated as he ended up trying to dodge the hands of the driver trying to knock him off and drive at the same time. But that's when Scott suddenly grew bigger than everyone and he ended up holding onto the front of the van.
Scott then saw an idea and punched through the glass and knocked the drover out. Then he slammed his feet into the ground and ended up dragging his feet through the street trying to stop the truck, and at the same time, knocked off all of the people on the roof, knocking them out as they hit the ground.
"Whew! Any...anyone else need a break?" Scott asked them as he tried to catch his breath and shrank down yet again finally to normal size. "We need to get this fixed."
"Come on." Hope gestured him to the back of the van and the two got situated whilst Nadia got to driving the vehicle.
The two of them went to the back of the truck and cleared some space by tossing most of the crates out and the second they did, the suit malfunctioned again and Scott grew big enough that he smashed his head against the roof of the truck, and his knees expanding the walls, as his mask opened up revealed his injured face.
Hope ended up chuckling at his stupidity and was enjoying this a little.
"What? Are you laughing?" Scott asked as he couldn't really see her. "Come on. Help me."
"Alright, hang on." Hope stopped laughing and retracted her own mask before leaping up on his knee to get to the belt on his suit. Opening it up, she saw that it was indeed malfunctioning when she removed it earlier. "The sizing coils are malfunctioning. Should be easy to..." The coils then sparked and ended up shrinking the suit a little, but not the human inside and caused Scott to groan in agonizing pain. "Sorry."
"Just fix it." Scott pleaded.
Hope shook her head and quickly recalibrated the coils, going from flashing blue and red to green lights, and Scott finally shrank down to normal size. Once that was fixed, he ended up shrinking right in front of Hope and retracted his mask.
The two felt a little uncomfortable with the small distance between them, and the constant bumps in the road wasn't helping.
"Sorry." Scott apologized for the distance.
"No problem." Hope assured him.
"Hey, guys." Nadia cried from the front of the truck. "We're approaching the gate."
Scott and Hope looked to the front and opened the window and looked to see a gigantic base with the AIM hexagon symbol and they were immediately let through the gate.
What they didn't know about this building was that there was a few smaller projects being developed here rather than the usual experiments being created at the other buildings.
Trying to duplicate the powers of the few extremely powered mutants they've discovered, and the biggest project of theirs:
The Vibration.Intelligence.Sonic.Intergalactic.Omnibus.Nexus
TWENTY YEARS LATER...
Kang stood at his window, overlooking his ever growing empire. A smile stood on his face, before it turned to one of bitter. The door then opened and he expected to see it was Ravonna, but it was Yolanda instead.
"My Kang, I'm sorry to say I failed." Yolanda apologized as she bowed down and kneeled before him after removing her helmet. "Silk escaped my grasp."
"Not to fret, Yolanda." Kang said with a smile as he turned to face her. "I expected you to fail."
"You...set me up to failure?" Yolanda asked in shock.
"No, I was just making sure to keep the timeline on the correct path." Kang corrected her. "Once Cindy made her way back to the base, the wound you gave her would prove to be too fatal for them to do anything about. And that's when he arrives."
"Who?" Yolanda asked.
"Clint Barton." Kang answered with a grin as he looked back out.
Yolanda than looked over to the wall of Kang's throne room, which doubled as the Trophy Room, and looked at the walls of all of the things he's collected over the years. Many people have come to dethrone him, but none of them have been able to defeat him due to his advantages.
The treasures he collected would always haunt her for what they once were:
There was the helmet of Magneto.
The Eye of Agamotto from Joey.
Thor's helmet.
Ironheart's mask.
Ant-Man's helmet.
The mask and upper suit of Spider-Man.
The hood of the costume from Hourman.
The severed and stuffed head of Rahne in her wolf form.
The jacket and chain of Ghost Rider.
A Wakandan spear.
The mask of the Flash.
The headpiece of Scarlet Witch.
The wing pack from Teresa.
The severed frozen head of Iceman.
The jacket and gloves of America Chavez.
The suits of Black Bolt/Medusa/Crystal.
The Cosmic Staff.
And then there was the oldest of all of them.
The bow and quiver of Hawkeye.
Clint Barton died years ago, so why was Kang expecting him to show up?
