Elaine Coll was walking back to the AIM base after being thrown off the truck when she looked and saw Cindy B. was standing off to the side.
"Well, looks like you've had better days." Cindy B. stated as she walked towards her.
"Who are you?" Elaine asked.
"Someone who's here to offer you pay back on those heroes." Cindy B stated and raised the diamond. "Wanna be a part of the team?"
The three insect heroes drove the truck up to the gate to enter the facility where Hank Pym is being held. Once they made it to the gate, they replaced the driver with Scott since he was the only one who looked like an adult out of the three of them.
"ID?" The guard at the gate asked, making Scott freeze.
"Uh..." Scott had to think of a good excuse. "I'd give you my ID, but...I'd-"
"ID." The guard repeated, getting annoyed and wasn't messing as he was reaching for his gun.
Just then Scott looked behind the guard when a ghostly figure of a girl appeared. Before Scott could even let out a shriek of terror, the ghost flew right into the guard and he stared to act differently.
"Whoo...this guy is strong, but weak minded." The guard said, confusing Scott when he looked to Scott with a smile. "You have no idea how happy I am to see someone who's not here to poke and prod me."
"Uh..." Scott had no idea what to think or say to this as he's apparently talking to a man possessed by a ghost.
"Listen, my name is Hope Abbott. I'm one of the three people in this place that don't work for AIM. And let's say we're not here on our free will." The guard whispered to him, and Scott just listened, not wanting to tick off the ghost. "I can't explain everything here, they'll get suspicious if you're still here. I'll be able to get you in, but you still need to find us. I'll do my best to guide you through the facility, but I don't know how long I've got until they realize what I'm doing."
Scott still just stood there like a deer in headlights when the girl opened the gates for him and Scott decided to just do as he/she said and drove the truck into the docking port.
One of the men walked up and opened the back, only to come face to face with both Nadia and Hope to blast him, sending him flying backwards into the warehouse.
"Great. We're in." Hope whispered as she and Nadia shrunk down and made their way inside whilst Scott quickly got changed back into the suit.
Back in Blue Valley, the team were trying to figure out how to deal with everything while Shuri just left them and was looking over S.T.R.I.P.E. as Pat left them alone. Avery was also having a talk to her
"So...what are we supposed to do with her?" Rick asked them.
"Anyone got any idea how to talk to royalty?" Phoebe asked.
"The highest authority I've ever dealt with is the school principle." Peter stated, not counting the talk he had with himself who's the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. on a parallel earth.
"I just don't get it. Our mission is to just babysit her?" Chavez asked.
"I see it more like befriending her." Beth admitted. "Right?"
"How do we befriend her if we don't even know how to talk to her?" Teresa asked.
"Why don't we just talk to her like she's a human being?" Cindy asked the team. "I mean, something tells me she didn't come this far from her home to be treated and spoiled like a Princess."
"She is correct." Shuri confirmed, scaring several of them as they didn't even notice her sneaking up on them. "Sorry. I just...thought it would be a cool idea to actually see you guys together, in action. After I was told I needed to leave Wakanda, I saw it as a way to see the next generation of the same team my brother was a part of."
"Well...we never really go out unless there's an emergency." Yolanda broke to the Princess.
"Yeah, otherwise we just...hang out." Peter admitted with a shrug. "Speaking of which, where's Riri?"
Riri was still taking a look over AM.I.'s code when some code started to look familiar.
"Wait...this can't be right." Riri whispered, no idea where this code could've come from.
But then she remembered that glitch that was caused during the raid where they saved Jubilee and Cindy from the AIM facility.
When she had her back turned, the suit started to reactivate and the eyes began to glow.
Riri basically sensed what was happening when the suit then raised its repulsers and blasted Riri, missing her but destroying her computer in the process.
"A.M.I. What's gotten into you?" Riri asked as she shielded herself.
"Sorry, Ms. Williams. A.M.I. is unavailable." A menacing familiar voice echoed through A.M.I.'s original voice.
"Ultron?" Riri asked in shock.
Ultron/A.M.I then raised her blaster and blasted her window, which Riri used as a way to escape by leaping out and landing in the tree outside. Quickly dropping down to the ground, Riri sneaked off, using the glitch on her scanners to her advantage and escaped.
"Go ahead. Run. For soon, my mission will finally be completed." Ultron/A.I.M. whispered to midair.
Back in the AIM Facility, Nadia, Scott, and Hope all arrived in through the air vents where they could sneak in. And they had to say this facility was strangely set up. There were pipes, wires, and giant containers just about everywhere.
"This place looks like a designers nightmare." Scott commented on what they were seeing.
"This must be underneath where they dock the planes and
"Come on, let's hope the Ghost of Christmas Past will help us out." Nadia said as the three shrank down and flew over to the control room. "Any vents?"
"Nope." Abbott said, scaring the three of them when they turned and saw the ghost. "They locked this place down so that Ant-Man or any of the other Avengers could sneak in. Hi, I'm Hope Abbott. Me and Scott already know each other."
Scott then looked confused. "I never told you my name."
"No, but I heard them complaining about you." Abbott admitted and looked to the girls.
"What are you?" Nadia was curious about her.
"I'm pretty sure I'm a mutant. At least that's what everyone here calls my condition." Abbott explained to them as she started to play with the panel. "One day, I was just minding my own business when it was almost like I died and my ghost left my body. At least that's how my dad found me, when AIM learned about what I could do, he...just gave me up." She started to become a little down at the reminder. "And they brought me here. Been stuck here while they poked, dissected, just to see how I worked. When I figured out how I worked, I saw I needed help to get me out, because this version of me can go anywhere, but the only way to escape is to get someone to free my body."
"And that's why you need our help?" Nadia took a guess.
Abbott looked to her with a saddened look, confirming their suspicions. "Yeah, since they know about what I can do, they put my actual body in a chamber where nobody has access to. Except the person who created it. Hank Pym."
"Our dad created your cell?" Hope asked her.
Abbott was shocked to hear that and looked to her. "Wait, you're his daughters?"
"Yeah, we came here to break him out." Scott informed her. "And if we can get you and the other one here out, that's a bonus."
"But...They said that the two of you are trapped in here." Abbott stated, not following.
But it seemed that Hope and Nadia was understanding why they would tell him the lies. "They lied to him, saying that we were trapped so he would cooperate and not try to escape."
"Well, let's show them you never mess with the Pym's." Nadia stated with an angry look.
Abbott then got through their security and opened the doors to allow them to get past in an off side of the lab. The three then followed through it and ended up in the factories for where they build the Adaptoids.
"Boy, I hate these things." Scott whispered.
"Yeah." Abbott agreed as she shrieked and was sent flying backwards, meaning they must've caught her helping them.
"And she's gone." Hope said. "We're on our own."
They made their way into the main labs and saw the gigantic cell holding their Hope Abbott with her arms and legs suspended. It sorta reminded them of that prison from the Incredibles movie.
"Now what were you doing this time?" Monica asked her.
"N-nothing!" Abbott cried, keeping them a secret.
"You should know better than to lie to me by now." Monica sighed as she tapped her tablet and shocked Abbott with a few hundred bolts.
Her ear piecing scream was more than enough for them to want to take action as Hope flew over and punched Monica, sending her flying through the glass. The Adaptoid with her was ready to take action when Scott used his ants to bite through the wires from the gun while Nadia used her stinger to blast a hole through it.
"Hope Abbott I'm guessing?" Scott asked as he grew to normal size and casually walked up to the tablet she dropped. "Nice to meet you face to face instead of face to ghost."
Abbott rolled her eyes and waited for Scott to shut it down and dropped to the ground. Once she did, Abbott took a second to get back on her feet as she has been suspended for weeks.
"Thanks." Abbott said as she rubbed her sore arms. "Let's go save your father."
"So why did they take you out of Wakanda?" Peter was curious to know.
Shuri shrugged and decided it was best to tell them. "Well, an enemy of Wakanda has appeared. And they fear for my safety, as he was able to even best my brother in combat."
"Who has the ability to fight and survive against the Black Panther?" Yolanda wondered.
"Kraven the Hunter." Shuri stated, only to be met with the teams confused look as they have no idea who that is.
But before they could ask any more questions, Riri came running in and panted from exhaustion. She ran into the table and used it to cushion her fall as the team walk over to her.
"Whoa, Riri, what's wrong?" Joey asked her.
"It-it...It's..." Riri tried her best to talk, but she was too out of breath to finish. "It's Ultron! He survived!
"What? How?" Teresa wondered.
"Wait, what's Ultron?" Avery wondered.
"He's an AI. Created by Dr. Doom to destroy the world." Bobbie answered her. "But I thought we wiped him out when we destroyed his army."
"No. He somehow copied himself and imprinted himself onto A.M.I.s code. Dormant enough that I never noticed until that AIM raid." Riri explained to them when she noticed Shuri. "Who's the new girl?"
"Shuri, Riri. Riri, Shuri." Peter introduced them.
"Try saying that five times fast." Bobbie dared.
"Back to the murderous robot on the loose?" Rick asked Riri.
"Right. I don't know where he's going, or what he has planned. But it's bound to be something big." Riri took a wild guess.
"I might be able to help." Shuri offered her assistance and activated her bracelet that revealed to have a computer built in. "If your suit runs by an arc reactor, then I should be able to track it referencing from the Stark reactors back from Wakanda." It was almost immediately that a blimp appeared on the map of Blue Valley she pulled up.
"Ultron's at the park?" Phoebe questioned, not following why he would do that.
"That's where he first began his attack on Blue Valley." Peter noticed and started to understand. "He's going to bring back his army."
"Then let's go stop him!" Courtney said and raised her hand for her staff to return and they immediately ran to get their gear.
"Mind if I tagged along?" Shuri asked Peter.
"I'm not running the mission." Peter shrugged and allowed her to come and turned to the Three-In-One. "You're welcome as well."
"Thanks." Phoebe said with a smile.
Back in the AIM Facility, they basically took over it with the minimum staff running the place. They made it down the halls and found the cells keeping Hank, thanks to Abbott's knowledge of the facility.
Once they made it to the console, Hope immediately hacked it, allowing the doors to open and a figure standing in the dark, shielding himself from the sudden light.
"Girls?" The man asked as he walked out, revealing to be none other than Hank Pym himself.
"Dad?" Hope/Natalie asked as they walked over and saw his face before running up and hugging their father.
"Wha...what are you two doing here?" Hank asked them.
"Saving you, dummy!" Hope stated as she blasted the handcuffs off his wrist keeping him in the cell as a secondary precaution.
Hank then looked over and noticed Scott, who opened his mask and waved at him, no idea what to really say. "Dr. Pym. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, sir."
"Who's your friend?" Hank asked his kids.
"Uh, dad, this is Scott Lang...the new Ant-Man." Hope offered an explanation and introduction to her dad.
"New Ant-Man?" Hank was shocked to hear.
"In our defense, we thought you were dead." Scott defended himself and the others.
"We? Our?" Hank asked.
"There's a new Avengers team, dad." Nadia stated they separated.
"Come on, we can chat more on our way out." Hope promised them.
"Wait, we can't leave. There's something else here we need to get away from AIM." Hank warned them and gestured to inside his cell.
"What's that?" Abbott asked as they approached a small mechanical cradle attached to tubes.
"They call it the cradle. They've been trying to make me create them a weapon, and when I refused promised to hurt my kids." Hank explained and gestured to Hope and Nadia. "But I held off as long as I could and was hoping for a rescue. But we can't leave it here. We need to take it with us."
"Okay. Let's get it out of here." Hope guessed and started to shut down the computers.
"What's in there?" Nadia asked when she approached and looked inside and saw half a body.
"A cybernetic advanced Synthezoid." Hank stated as he helped Hope shut down the screens. "With the proper materials they've gotten, they can create an unstoppable weapon."
"What is he made out of?" Scott asked as Abbott picked up a container filled with a strange looking metal. "Wait...Vibranium?"
"Pure vibranium." Hank confirmed as he activated something that caused the case to hover. "How'd you guys get here?"
"We stole a AIM truck." Scott admitted.
"Perfect. Load this up onto that." Hank asked of them and pushed the cradle out of his cell.
Back in Blue Valley, the team made it to the park, using their own unique abilities or Joey's portals and got ready for a fight when they came face to face with the Ironheart suit.
"Surrender now, Ultron!" Courtney demanded as she aimed the Cosmic Staff at the suit.
"Or what? What will you do that you haven't already done?" Ultron asked with a laugh. "Last time, I underestimated you. But I will never make the same mistake twice." He then raised his hand and it started to glow when the ground began to shake, followed by several Ultron bots to rise out of the ground.
"Oh, great. Skynet's back!" Bobbie sighed in annoyance.
"A.M.I. I know you're in there!" Riri tried to reach out to her friend in the suit.
"Oh, she's here. And she's telling you to run!" Ultron stated as he raised his blaster and shot at them, ending with Joey shielding them with a spell. "Oh, it seems I'm not the only one who learned!"
"We've been through a lot since we last saw you!" Rick stated as he dodged one of the other Ultron bots and punched through its chest and removed the power source.
"Some of us need to take down the robots and protect the people, the others need to take down Ultron!" Courtney stated to them.
Peter then looked over to Avery and had an idea. "Hey, you still wanna be part of this team?"
Avery looked over to him and was shocked to hear that. "Yes."
"Then protect the people! Get them out of the way!" Peter tells her as he leaped and shot a web down before using it to yank himself down and crush the robot.
Avery looked and saw everyone running off in fear as Chavez came down and smacked the ground, sending a gigantic hole in a Star shape.
"Got it." Avery promised as she started sparking purple electricity and raced off to get everyone out of the line of fire.
"Cuckoos, we need you to maybe erase a few memories. Like Riri." Peter asked of them.
"We're on it." The three Cuckoo sisters agreed and their eyes began to glow blue.
Riri took a few steps closer to the hive Ultron to try and talk to A.M.I. "A.M.I., please. I know you're in there. You have to fight Ultron!"
Ultron looked at her when suddenly his eyes began to glitch from red back to their usual blue. "Riri? Riri, I...I can't fight."
Riri saw that A.M.I. was trying to break through and cheered. "Yes! You can do it, A.M.I.!"
But that's when Ultron took back control and groaned. "Time to finish you once and for all!" He then aimed a missile launcher at Riri and shot it, but it was intersected by Shuri who head up one of her bracelets that sent out a shockwave and sent the missile flying away.
"Chavez, we need cover!" Teresa cried as she shot one of the Ultron bots in the head.
Chavez understood and stomped on the ground, sending a giant chunk of the park upward where she caught it and shielded the team while Courtney and Avery were holding back the bots.
"Okay. We need a plan." Peter tells them all. "If we don't take care of it now, we might lose to Ultron this time. And something tells me after we already defeated the Batman Who Laughs, he's not gonna call it a day and shut down."
"Riri, didn't you build a safety on your suit?" Beth asked.
"I tried to get through, but there's no way." Riri said as she held out a small remote that gives her remote access to the suit.
Beth took it and allowed Chuck to do his thing, but it didn't and well as he got kicked out.
"I'm sorry, Beth, but it seems Ultron has corrupted too much of A.M.I.'s code, I can't tell the two apart." Chuck apologized to them.
"Ultron's spread through too much of A.M.I. There's no distinct way of telling them apart." Beth apologized.
"Okay, then we go to Plan B." Peter guessed,
"What's Plan B?" Silk asked.
"We had a Plan B?" Yolanda asked.
"We had a Plan A?" Rick asked.
"Hit Ultron with everything we've got. Riri, you need to get through to A.M.I. and find a way to remove Ultron." Peter tells them the plan.
"Man, you're really good at this leader thing." Avery complimented.
"He's not the leader." Bobbie stated when he looked to Chavez, "Is he the leader?"
"You got a better idea?" Chavez asked as she came out of hiding and leaped high into the air and plummeted onto Ultron.
Courtney came on out just to blast Ultron with a powerful blast, but it didn't even phase the suit.
"How powerful is that suit?" Courtney asked.
"I upgraded it, used what I could find from...Black Panther's suit." Riri confesses.
"That things made out of vibranium?!" Bobbie asked in anger and blasted one of the bots, freezing it solid. "We're dead! No stopping it."
"There might be a way." Shuri informed them. "Vibranium is able to be weakened from sonic vibrations." He then raised her bracelets with a grin. "And that's what my gauntlets are for. Built them myself for my own protection."
"Sweet." Peter complimented.
"I might be able to help hold him down." Cassie said as she took out her lasso. "It's the strongest thing there is. Not even he can be able to break through." She then raised her wrists and banged them together. "And my bracelets can send out sonic blasts to throw him off balance."
"Do it." Courtney stated.
"You all have your missions, so let's get to work!" Peter told everyone as Shuri went out of hiding and shot a sonic blast to send Ultron flying.
"Ugh, really?" Ultron asked. "Why won't you just quit?!"
"It's not our thing!" Courtney stated as she sent a blast that finally damaged his armor. "That's it! Keep it up!" She then sent another beam, but this time he was able to dodge it.
But he missed the lasso that came up and wrapped around his leg then slamming him into the ground.
Shuri then sends a gigantic sonic blast, keeping Ultron down as Cassie and Chavez hold down the lasso against his chest.
"A.M.I.! I'm here." Riri said as she approached and attached her phone to the shoulder plug to get back into the suit and activate the shutdown protocol.
"Riri. Ultron's virus is spreading." A.M.I. warned her as Riri can't get through.
"Gah! Will you stop?!" Ultron asked as he blasted Chavez, sending her flying into the other bots, allowing her to pick them up and smash them into each other. "When I'm done, I'll destroy her!"
"Not if I have a say in it." Riri promised as she kept trying to stop her.
Ultron then activated his arc reactor and blasted Cassie, releasing the lasso. He then got up and blasted both Peter and Courtney before turning towards Riri. He aimed his repulser when Riri finally fought the virus.
"Got it!" Riri cheered as the eyes went to their normal blue color.
"Riri?"
"A.M.I., is it really you?" Riri asked with a happy grin.
"Yes, Riri. You saved me." A.M.I. stated as they looked and saw the robots haven't stopped.
"Riri, you need to shut them down." Riri asked of A.M.I., who did her best, but her eyes began to flash red.
"I'm sorry. But I cannot override it without succumbing to his code. Ultron has made it too far. The only thing that can be done, destroy the source."
"But...you won't survive." Riri informed her. "Riri, your code will be lost forever."
"And so will Ultron's." A.M.I. promised her.
"No, I can't do it." Riri said, she couldn't kill her friend.
"Riri, they need you right now." A.M.I. said as she looked and saw her friends were fighting back against the Ultron robots, getting the people out of the way, trying to protect others. "They need you to be strong."
Riri looked down and began to tear up at what she has to do. "Goodbye, A.M.I."
"Goodbye, friend." A.M.I. said her farewell as Riri tapped the self-destruct sequence on her phone and was pulled through a portal by Joey.
The minute the hive mind was destroyed, the rest of the Ultron's fell from the sky, allowing Joey to pick them up with portals to a nearby junkyard.
"So...did we do it?" Avery asked, panting from exhaustion.
"We did it." Courtney confirmed.
Riri walked over to the destroyed Ironheart suit and picked up what was left, which was just her right gauntlet. The team walked over to her and felt sorry she had to sacrifice a friend to save the day.
"We're sorry." Bobbie apologized to her.
"It wasn't your fault, Bobbie." Riri assured them and sighed. "I just don't know what I'm gonna do now."
"Well, I guess you'll have to just start from scratch." Peter shrugged. "With or without that suit, you're still a member of this team."
"Yeah, but what's the point of me?" Riri asked and gestured to herself. "Without the suit, I'm nothing. Without A.M.I, I'm nothing."
"You're not nothing." Teresa promised. "You're one of us." She gestured to everyone who was happy to be there.
Riri smiled and was happy to have friends like them. "Thanks, guys. But I might need some time to myself."
She then looked sad as she walked away, leaving the team standing alone, sorry they couldn't help her. But then the sorrow moment was interrupted by Rick.
"Wait, was she not planning on helping us clean up?" Rick asked as they looked around the minimum destruction caused by Ultron.
"Hey, I'll happily clean if that means it was the last we saw of Skynet." Celeste promised them.
"I can easily agree." Yolanda agreed.
"Seconded." Cassie added.
"Well, you never know." Peter warned them as they began to walk away.
What they missed was down below, one of the Ultron bots were disabled before it could make its way out. It then began to come to life, it's eyes glitching red.
"I've got no strings. So I have fun. I'm not tied up to anyone..."
Later on that day, Peter was sitting on the steps outside his house similar to how he was last year after the defeat of the JSA, except then he had MJ, and she's gone. Luckily he has some other good friends as Cindy came up and sat down next to him.
"I feel bad for Riri." Cindy admitted.
"She did what needed to be done. It was a tough decision, but she was able to make it." Peter was amazed at how far Riri was able to go.
"So is this how it always is with all of your enemies?" Cindy was curious to know.
"Meh, mostly." Peter shrugged. "Sometimes their world ending threats, sometimes just protecting the town."
"Sweet. I could get used to it." Cindy shrugged. "You hear they might be heading to Wakanda?"
"What?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, the others are planning on going to help with Kraven." Cindy stated.
"You going?" Peter wondered.
"Meh, I feel some of us should stay and look after the town." Cindy shrugged.
"Yeah, I'll probably stick back. Shuri's a cool girl, and I don't wanna just go and fight in her country." Peter stated, not really interested in leaving his town unprotected.
"So the give of us looking after this town?" Cindy asked.
"Five?" Peter asked, not following.
"The Cuckoos already turned down the offer themselves." Cindy gestured to the neighboring house and the Cuckoos were heading inside.
"Huh." Peter had no idea what to really say.
What none of them noticed was down the street, Cindy smiled and had just finished recruiting all of the members of her Hellfire and Injustice club. But there was one more member that needed to be put into the spot.
"What scares you most, Peter?" Cindy wondered as she raised the diamond to her eye.
Back at the site, Joey and Rick were cleaning up the destruction site from Ultron.
"I can't believe they left us to finish the cleanup." Rick stated in annoyance.
"Well, between the two of us, I'm pretty sure we could finish it up." Joey shrugged.
"Just use your portal and make this garbage vanish." Rick asked of him.
"On it." Joey promised and raised his hands to start conjuring a portal.
But before he had tome to create one, another began to form under his feet.
"What-what are you doing?" Rick asked, watching the portal form.
"This isn't me." Joey promised when he fell through the portal with a shriek.
Rick looked around and was completely confused on where Joey went. "Joey?"
Joey was shrieking as he was falling who knows where throughout the known universe, or even the unknown parts of the universe.
Joey tried his best to stop his fall with no success, but he was at least able to conjure the Cloak of Levitation back to him.
Once the other end of the portal opened, he fell through and the cloak stopped his fall before he could land face first.
Joey got up and looked around to find out where he was and saw a whole lot of ancient artifacts around but no sign of anybody.
"And last but not least, Joey Zarick." Someone said, getting Joey's attention as he activated his shields and turned to face whoever spoke, and he saw Clea floating towards Joey. "You have been chose."
Joey looked around, almost like he was looking for someone else. "What?"
Riri returned home and sighed as she sat and placed the repulser down on the table. She couldn't believe she lost her best friend. She couldn't believe she lost her suit. And all in the same day.
She signed and slummed down on her desk, shaking the table and the repulser shook, causing it to open and Riri noticed that there's something in the fist.
Riri open up the hand and was shocked when she saw a chip similar to the one that held A.M.I. on it and when she opened it, she saw that there's a name on it.
