They were able to make it thought the front gates without a hinge and it just began to rain, giving them plenty of cover as they began to get ready to leave.
Harley stuck her hand out and lets the rain hit it. "I love the rain. It's like angels are splooging all over us."
"Come on, let's go." Teresa said as they all began to walk through the rain and marched through the rain.
They marched through the storm and made their way to the front door as Harley took a bite of an apple she stole from their supplies and gave a wink to Teresa.
Teresa smiled and rolled her eyes, just giving into Harley's madness and they saw the guards were beginning to spot them.
But before they could, DuBois shot an small arrow into their eyes whilst Teresa used a shotgun and shot several guards.
Peacemaker than used a sword and cut a few open, and several guards were hit by Herman's gauntlets and were literally flattened into the side of the building.
Yuri wrapped a few up with her cloth and snapped their necks, whist Nanaue ripped the last guard in half.
They then made their way up to the doors and saw the scanner was damaged by Shocker.
"Whoops, sorry." Herman apologized, no idea what to say.
"Great." Teresa sighed. "Yuri?"
"One step ahead." Yuri said and used her cloth to just tear though the doors and then pry them open, with help from Nanaue to hold it.
"Go!" Nanaue cried and everyone ran inside as he kept the doors open and they all made it in and saw the army was coming.
DuBois aimed one of his weapons to Thinker. "Input your emergency code. Now!"
Thinker then walked over to the working control panel and put it in, and they watch the doors slowly close.
Working fast, Herman used his gauntlets and sent out a mega blast that sent all the soldiers flying as well as their vehicles.
The doors then finally closed, and they got to work.
CUT SUICIDE (WIU SQUAD)
They then opened up a bag and grabbed their bombs.
"Harley and I will meet you up on the second floor." DuBois tells Teresa.
"Copy that." Teresa said and took Yuri and Ratcatcher with Thinker.
They made their way through the compound before reaching the elevator as the others were planting the bombs. Looking at where the secret projects could be, Teresa looked and was shocked to see one floor was literally labeled: Dirty little secrets
They're either incredibly humorous, or incredibly stupid.
Either way, it works out for them.
When they made it to the floor, they were shocked when the first thing in sight down the hall was several dozens of cafes filled with people from the floor, ceiling, and walls.
With starfish on their faces. And the starfish have eyes.
"Good lord." Teresa said in what she was seeing.
"If there truly was a lord, does this indicate him being good?" Thinker asks as they walked past the people.
"What the hell is all of this?" Yuri asks.
"I thought you were looking for Project Starfish, Captain." Thinker scoffed.
"You've brought us visitors, have you, Grieves?" One of the people in the below cage asks.
"Have you come to save me from the madman?" Another asks from the right side of the cages.
"Thirty years he's kept me here." Another behind the first one stated.
"Tortured me."
"Had his way with me."
They then looked to Thinker who just offered a grin as a response of what they said.
"Ew." Yuri said, not wanting to make that 100% clear.
They then walked down to see an experimental area with beds, tables, and a stand where someone was still alive but their entire lower torso was missing. Another where the body was jolting up and down with the starfish right above their face and a giant circle window.
Cleo backed away as she held onto Sebastian for comfort when something smacked into the glass, scarring everyone as they saw it was a giant starfish hand.
"I call it Starro the Conqueror." Thinker said as he marched towards the window. "That's meant to be derisive. Sorry, old chum. These people are here to kill you. It's out of my hands."
"We need to help these people." Cleo stated.
"Impossible, dear. They're nothing but corpses below those stars now." Thinker informed her.
"Who were they?" Teresa asked him.
"The fodder of powerful men from every age." Thinker said as he walked over to the experiments. "Dissidents. Journalists. Political rivals. And their loved ones."
Teresa looked completely shocked to hear no remorse for what they're doing here for any of these people. Being turned into corpses against their will and taken over by a starfish.
"Oh, please. Unclutch your fucking pears, Durand." Thinker told her. "We serve the same master."
"We were sent here to stop you!" Cleo stated.
"Child." Thinker scoffed as he faced her. "Your government didn't send you to protect the world from alien technology. They sent you to cover up their part in it."
"You're a goddamn liar!" Yuri stated.
"American goddamn astronauts found Starro." Thinker stated as he marched over to her. "Yankee-fucking-doodle dandies. And even though the Cold War was ending, your government saw potential in weaponizing such a powerful beast, but banish the thought being held on American soil. Your people have always been squeamish on what needs to be done for scientific advancement. So the American government made a secret deal with the Corto Maltese government to conduct their experiments here in Jotunheim and hired me to oversee them. And now, because of a run of the mill military coup, they're gonna ruin thirty years worth of effort."
"Yeah." Peacemaker called as they look to see him strolling past the cages. "You're the real victim here."
"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be planting explosives?" Yuri asked him.
"I told you I didn't trust him." Peacemaker stated.
Teresa looked and see the servers behind Thinker. "All the records in those computers?" Before she got an answer, she walked up to them and punched it.
"Teresa, what are you doing?" Cleo asks.
"I joined the military for answers and because I believed in my home, I'm not going to be its puppet." Teresa promised as she reached in and took out the hard drive. Just one of these things are enough to hold years of information on it.
"Who are you going to show that to?" Cleo asked.
"Everyone." Teresa promised. "The whole goddamn world. I'm not going to be Waller's puppet anymore. This time, they're going to be held accountable-"
Teresa then turned around and was met with a gun from Peacemaker. "I can't let you so that, ma'am."
"What's going on?" Teresa asked as she raised her hands slowly.
"I'm truly sorry, but Waller charged me to make sure those records never make it out of the building." Christopher told her.
"Of course. Waller had a backup plan." Teresa sighed, wishing she saw that earlier as she walked around Cristopher and was against the stairway.
"I'm sorry, it isn't personal." Christopher promised.
"Holding a gun on my face is pretty fucking personal!" Teresa stated when the building began to shake.
"What was that?" Thinker asked as the building began falling apart. "Those idiots set off the explosions too early! Hand over the drive! Let's go!"
Teresa stared down Christopher, both holding an angry look. "They experimented on innocent people."
"Nobody's saying what they did was right." Christopher stated.
"They experimented on children!" Teresa cried out in anger.
"That gets our, it creates an international incident. Keeping the peace is worth any price." Christopher promised just as he had a gun pointed at his head, revealing to be from Yuri.
"And I can't let you not let her do that." Yuri promised just as the ceiling above them caved in and caused smoke to go everywhere, causing Christopher and Yuri to be separated from the group.
When the dust settled, Teresa woke up to find herself near the stairway and Cleo was being waken by Sebastian and Thinker clawed his way up.
They then looked to the window and found it broken.
"What have you people done!?" Thinker cried as he tried to run but was immediately grabbed by tentacles and dragged into the area while letting out an ear piercing cry.
"Time to go!" Teresa stated as she ran over and helped Cleo stand.
"Way ahead of you." Cleo stated as they ran for their lives. "Sebastian. Come!" She cried to the rat who immediately follows.
The two raced to where the elevator was and saw the area was caved in, meaning they can't get out the way they came. Then they heard something growl and saw Starro was beginning to crawl his way out.
"You've got any ideas?" Teresa asked Cleo as they leaned against the wall. "I'm open to any suggestions."
They then heard squeaks and looked down to see them coming from Sebastian who got their attention and ran over to a tunnel in the wall.
"That good enough?" Cleo asked Teresa.
"Yeah, well, beggars can't be choosers." Teresa said as the two of them got down and crawled their way though the tunnel.
Thinker was just murdered by Starro and his insides splattered on the window near Christopher and Yuri, waking the two of them up. She looked and saw her side was stabbed by a pole and used her strength to pry it out of her side.
They looked and saw the hard drive was still there and they both leaped at it, with Yuri using her cloth to get it and Christopher prying them off the drive.
Yuri then went in for a swing at him, and Christopher dodged it and punched her in the chest. Yuri grew angry at that and sent a cloth that went straight down his throat, which he immediately struggled to pull out of it.
Yuri then picked up the drive, only for it to be kicked away from her by Peacemaker. Once he got the cloth out of his throat, he then kicked Yuri and sent her flying and slamming into something that seemed to be rations for the Star people.
Yuri then wrapped her fist up in the cloth and punched Peacemaker again, sending him slamming into the cells that still held people inside.
Christopher then grabbed a pole and smacked Yuri with it and sent her falling down. He then got on top and began to choke the life out of her when Yuri then threw one of her cloths up and got it over a pipe and wrapped it spring Peacemaker's neck and he began to be lifted off of her and began to be hanged.
Yuri left him dangling and sighed as he was choking to death until she just twisted her hand and the cloth snapped his neck as she picked up the drive. Looking back, she saw Teresa and Cleo just came out of their tunnel that ironically lead directly to her.
"Let's get the hell out of here." Yuri tells them as the building continued to crumble around them.
