That night, Peter quickly made his way out of his house before quickly writing his number in case of emergencies and made his way out.
Sue was feeding Valeria whilst Franklin was eating his spaghetti. "So, how do you like it here, Franklin?"
"I like it. Mr. Peter's pretty nice." Franklin confessed. "I like him."
"Well, we don't know how long we're going to be here, so don't be getting to0 comfortable." Sue warned Franklin.
"Why can't we? Peter said we can be here as long as we want, right?" Franklin asked.
"Yes, but we can't just stay here. It's his home, we're just guests." Sue did her best to explain when there was a knock at the door. "I wonder who that is."
She then got up, expecting to see someone for Peter...but she came to regret that when she came face to face with Reed Richards.
"Hi, honey." Reed said, causing Sue to freeze in fear. "Oh, I wouldn't bother calling your friends. I took care of them."
"What did you do?" Sue asked in fear.
Johnny was strolling out of his house, wanting to find something to do tonight with everyone else going to the accelerator, so he decided to just head over and hang with his sister.
But when he started to try and start up his car, it suddenly began to flash on him and before he could get out, it exploded, causing Johnny to cry out in agony.
Ben heard him crying in pain and quickly raced down outside and tried to help when the car exploded, sending him flying into the wall.
The whole group however was unaware of the events befalling their friends
However, in the crowd were two familiar individuals to their other reality counterparts.
Barry Allen and Iris West just arrived when Harrison Wells began his speech, just like their original counterparts.
And just like before, a crook comes past and steals her bag.
"No! Oh, hey, my laptop! It's got my dissertation." Iris said and Barry quickly went chasing after the thief.
As he did, he passed into a one way corner where the thief jumped the fence just when a gun is pointed at him.
"CCPD! I'd drop before I make you drop." Yuri demanded of the thief.
After the speech, Ronnie lead Peter inside of the labs where they past Grodd the gorilla.
"I feel very off about that guy." Peter commented to Ronnie.
"Probably due to the whole situation with all of your enemies being mostly animal themed." Ronnie took a wild guess.
"Might just be it." Peter guessed when he looked and saw he missed a call from Johnny. "Oh, maybe Johnny wants to join us."
He then answered the message he left, expecting it to be some drunk call or something, but what he heard was ten times worse. "AAAAHHHH!"
"Johnny?!" Peter cried as he suddenly stopped and quickly ran back up the stairs where he quickly changed into his suit on the way out, leaving a very confused Ronnie behind.
Peter made it outside and immediately made a call to Ben, and it went straight to voicemail. Thinking fast, as he was running and flipping around, he immediately called Sue which scared her when she didn't answer.
But he luckily has Jennifer's number and quickly called her. "Hello?"
"Jennifer! Thank god!" Peter cried to the heavens. "Somethings wrong. I can't get in touch with Johnny, Ben, or Sue. I need you to head to my place and find what's happening. I'm going to find Ben and Johnny."
"Oh, god. You don't think Reed did something, do you?" Jennifer asks.
"I'm praying not." Peter said before hanging up and the two headed to the two locations.
Back at the CCPD, Barry was looking at the board which had everything about the murder of his father. He was murdered in a robbery gone wrong, and they never caught who did it.
He then heard on the news that they're being told the evacuate the facility and alarms were blaring. Everything was then shut down as power went out throughout the entire city.
That was quickly followed by an explosion that came from Labs and sent a shockwave throughout all of Central City. He then looked up and saw the window on the roof was at least covered.
The wave then passed over Johnny and Ben when Peter finally arrived and pulled him out of the smoking car.
"Johnny!" Peter cried as he saw all the scorched skin all over his friend...at least he did. He watched in shock as Johnny's skin began to heal and even saw steam was coming when the rain was hitting him.
"What...what happened?" Johnny asked Peter.
"That was supposed to be my question. You were just burned alive!" Peter informed him when Johnny looked down and saw his entire body was healed like nothing happened.
"Hey! Can I get some help?" Ben asked, causing them all to look over to Ben and both cry out in terror. "What?"
"Uh...Ben, look down at your hands." Peter whispered in whimpering fear.
Ben then looked down and saw his fingers became rough and hard like stone and he cried in terror. "What...what happened to me?!"
Jennifer arrived at Peter's house and quickly made his way up to the door and tried to open it, but it was locked.
"Sue! It's me!" Jennifer cried as she knocked.
Inside, Sue was whimpering in fear as Reed held a gun at her temple. "Say anything, and she gets it."
Sue just wished she could vanish, escape this situation she was in.
Jennifer then decided to try and break down the door to try and get in, but it's not working.
"Susan!" Jennifer began to become very afraid just when she felt a wave pass her, which was followed by a super adrenaline rush which allowed her to crash through the door.
When she entered, she saw Reed, but there was no Sue. "What?" Both of them say in shock when something punched Reed.
Sue then suddenly appeared and looked down at her invisible hands that began to reappear. "What? How...how did that happen?"
"What did you...how did you do that?" Jennifer asked, suddenly looking down at Susan.
"What's wrong with you?" Sue asked, causing her to look and shrieked when she saw that her hands were now green, and she was a few feet taller than she once was.
FIVE MINUTES AGO:
"Dr. Wells, we saw that there's no problems with the acceleration, we are primed to go as scheduled." Cisco reported as Harrison walked in with a smile.
"That is great to hear, Cisco." Harrison said happily when Ronnie came in.
"Ronnie. Where's Peter?" Caitlin asked when she saw him, but no sight of Peter.
"Uh...I think something is wrong with Johnny, he ran to go check on him." Ronnie explained to her.
"Oh, I hope he's okay." Caitlin said in worry.
"Dr. Wells, the accelerator is primed and ready for particle injection." Cisco says as Caitlin and Ronnie enter the room from her labs.
"I'll send him a text to see if everything's okay." Ronnie promised Caitlin.
"I feel like I should say something profound like, one small step for man. All I can think of to say is what we've done here will change everything." Harrison says as he finally turns on the accelerator and it activates, and they wait for something to happen.
"That's it?" Cisco asks thinking more would happen. "You'd think there'd be, like, a loud bang."
"If there was a loud bang, we'd all be in big trouble." Ronnie replies to his friend.
"Take it from the guy who helped build it." Caitlin says with a smile.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we did it." Harrison tells everyone as they cheer, and clap and Wells opens that bottle, but they then watch as the champagne began rising out of the bottle, and they start getting worried when the alarms go blaring.
"There's an anomaly in the core chamber." Cisco tells them as they see the information on the computers.
"The ring's structural integrity is holding." Caitlin says from her own computer.
"But it's started a chain reaction. The system is starting to collapse." Harrison replies to them as he sees it happening on the monitors. "We need to shut it down."
"We can't ramp down the accelerator from here." Cisco says. "We need to do it manually."
"Me and Cisco will do it." Ronnie suggests and Caitlin stops him.
"Ronnie, no!" Caitlin states.
"I'm the lead engineer. I know how to operate the shutdown valve. Cait, I have to go." Ronnie tells her and quickly kisses her and he and Cisco race to the core of the accelerator.
Once they've reached the core of the accelerator, Ronnie opens the doors and turns to Cisco.
"Okay, you stay here. We've only got a few minutes before this thing blows, and if I'm not back in time, you need to initiate the lockdown." Ronnie explains to Cisco and he's not okay with that plan.
"No, I'm not locking you in there. If it closes, there's no reopening." Cisco protests to him.
"Cisco, if you don't seal off the blast, everyone in this building will die, including Caitlin." Ronnie informed to him. "Promise me."
"No, I'm not doing it!" Cisco promises.
"Cisco, we don't have time to argue about this! Now, promise me." Ronnie tells him, knowing he will keep it if it's a promise and he agrees, knowing they're wasting time like he said. "Set your watch. Two minutes, if I'm not here, close it." He then turns and runs inside the accelerator.
Cisco just stands there anxiously, hoping he makes it back. He wouldn't know what to tell the others if he did die or got injured and was trapped inside.
There's no way he was gonna risk the safety of the city by running in after him and breaking his promise. He must've really zoned out because in no time at all, his watch starts beeping and he sees his two minutes are up.
Cisco watches and waits for a couple of more seconds and doesn't see him coming. He knows he's going to regret this and reaches over and activates lockdown. The door starts to closes slowly and there's no sign of Ronnie.
A minute or so passes when he sees Caitlin running in.
"Where's Ronnie? Cisco, where is he?" Caitlin asks him in complete panic, and he doesn't know how to tell him.
"He's still inside." Cisco decides to go with saying, not beating the bush as she reaches him.
"What? Open the door." Caitlin tells him.
"I can't, he had me put it into lockdown." Cisco informed her.
"We have to get him out of there or he'll die." Caitlin says when the radio on the wall goes off and Cisco hears Ronnie.
"Cisco, can you hear me?" Ronnie asks from the other side.
"Ronnie, it's me!" Caitlin shouts while tearing up.
Ronnie is against the other side of the door and panted in exhaustion. "Caitlin." Ronnie says as he avoids the sparks flying. "Is Cisco there?"
"Yeah, I'm here. Talk to me, man." Cisco pleads to his friend.
"I adjusted the magnets to redirect the beam to try and vent the system, so the blast goes up and not out." Ronnie tells him and Cisco knows he has to get his side done.
Cisco knows what he has to do to stop the explosion and runs off leaving Caitlin with the radio.
"Cisco's working on it." Caitlin informs Ronnie and starts to think. "There has to be another way out of there. You have to find it."
"Cait, the chain reaction, I can't reverse it. The doors need to stay shut to protect you." Ronnie tells her as a flash of energy starts flying through the accelerator towards him. "Caitlin, whatever happens..."
He goes silent and doesn't finish speaking and they know what that means.
"Ronnie?" Caitlin asks and breaks down right there and Cisco comes back and is stuck in shock at what his friend did. "Ronnie!" He sees Caitlin crying and does what he can to comfort his friend, knowing there's nothing they could do now except be there for her.
"And from this point forward...everything in their lives changed forever. Barry Allen was never struck by lightning, meaning the Reverse Flash was never born. Also meaning that Harrison Wells was never murdered, neither was his now wife Tess Morgan. Now follow as we explore this brave new world with its new challenges, it's new possibilities. And how everything has changed."
"As for me, I am forever your guide. I observe everything that transpires here. But I will not, cannot, do not interfere. And the universe shall never be the same after this."
