(A/N) Well, you guys chose it, meaning that The Watcher's sticking around!
The Watcher observed the new world that was slowly becoming part of a larger universe far from their line of view, but at the same time, extremely close.
"These five brave individuals have finally had their first encounter with a Meta-Human and have taken theory first steps on the journey that would soon be altering their lives and emotions. And even though that the first mission they were on was a complete success, they didn't know that the challenges of working as a team have yet to present themselves. And this team would have to defy all odds and pull through in order to survive the enemies that present themselves in order to successfully succeed in saving their city."
Back at Peter's home, Susan woke up in her bed in her own room and was still feeling completely exhausted. Seems she's paying for her late night fight against those two "Meta-Humans" as Cisco has begun calling the people with enhanced capabilities such as themselves.
Pushing herself up, she got up, her hair a complete mess, and made her way downstairs. She had a guess that her kids were either still asleep or she was hoping they'd at least up by this point.
And her questions were answered when she made it into the kitchen and saw that Peter was cooking breakfast and her kids were watching.
"Do it again, Peter!" Franklin begged with a laugh, and Peter smiled back at him before flipping the pancake he had on the pan and ended up making it do a flip in the air before it landed on the plate in between the two on the table.
Valeria let out a pile of giggles, showing off her few baby teeth she's already gained.
Sue watched with a smile and leaning on the kitchen's door frame as her kids threw their head back in laughter as if it was the best thing they've ever seen.
"What's going on in here?" Sue asked as they just noticed that she was there. "Nobody told me we were having a party."
"Mom!" Franklin cheered. "Peter said we had to let you sleep, and he's making pancakes for us."
"I can see that." Sue said as she walked over and scuffed her son's hair before pecking her daughters head. "I hope there's some pancakes for me."
"Of course." Peter said with a smile and turning off the stove when all of the pancakes were ready. "Who wants whipped cream?"
"Oh, me!" Franklin cried happily as Peter tossed the bottle to Sue who placed some of it on her son's pancakes.
They all then got down and began to eat their pancakes and Sue was feeding Valeria when Franklin had a question for them.
'"Where were you last night, mommy?" Franklin asked Sue.
"Uh...I wanted to make sure I was okay to come home and ended up coming late. But did you have fun with Peter's aunt?" Sue asked.
"Yeah, she's a nice lady." Franklin said as he chewed down on his food.
"Franklin. Don't talk with your mouth full." Sue warned him as he swallowed it.
"Sorry, Mom." Franklin apologizes.
"Wonder how Johnny and Cisco are doing back at the labs." Peter said with a laugh at Franklin's childish behavior.
Johnny Storm was currently not at the labs but was actually currently flying through the air while on fire heading towards a fire that was happening downtown.
"Johnny, you just flew over the building." Cisco warned him.
Johnny stopped flying, which is extremely difficult when you don't have brakes, and stood there in the light of the sun. "What, did I pass it?"
"Yeah, you flew over it." Cisco confirmed as Johnny looked and saw the smoke.
"Right, I see it." Johnny said as he flew on down and into the building as he heard someone crying out for her daughter.
"You there yet?" Cisco asked as he reclined on the chair in the cortex of STAR Labs.
"What are you doing?" Jennifer asked as Cisco shuts down the computers and turned around to face both Caitlin and Jennifer in the doorway.
"Nothing." Cisco promised.
"Who were you talking to?" Caitlin asked in suspicion.
"Nobody." Cisco said as he placed his lollipop in his mouth.
"Were you talking to Johnny?" Jennifer asked as she crossed her arms.
"Who's Johnny?" Cisco questioned, playing dumb.
"Johnny Storm?" Caitlin questioned as she marched closer to her friend. "One of our only friends. We just met his sister and her kids the other day. He was attacked by her ex-husband who burned him alive, and now has the ability to combust into flames on command. Ring a bell?"
"No..." Cisco denied. "Haven't talked to him all day."
"It's eight o'clock." Jennifer informed him as she looked down at her watch. "What are you doing eating candy this early?"
"Cisco, there's fire everywhere!" Johnny's voice came off from the speaker on the desk.
Jennifer and Caitlin then turned and looked to the speaker before back to Cisco.
Johnny was working through the fire when he saw the little girl standing in the hall. He quickly ran through the building and grabbed her before leaping out of the building through a broken window and glided the two of them down before flying back inside and searching for more people.
Once he was sure everyone was safe, he flew off and landed in a random place he found with nobody around.
"All right, I think I got everyone, Cisco. What else you got for me?" Johnny asked Cisco.
Before Cisco could answer or respond, Caitlin leaned in and spoke through the speaker.
"Johnny, it's Caitlin." Caitlin called out.
Johnny froze and had no idea what to do now, as he was hoping to get done before the others learned what he was doing.
"Hey, Caitlin. How are you doing this fine morning?" Johnny asked.
"Get back to STAR Labs, now." Caitlin demanded of him.
Johnny sighed and rolled his eyes at her crankiness. Yet again, she kinda did just lose her fiancé the other day. So he should be giving her a break.
"I'm on my way." Johnny promised as he starts to wander before bursting into flames again and flying off, but quickly stopped when he felt light headed and shook it off to get back to the labs.
"Have you both completely lost your minds?!" Sue asked as she and Peter arrived at the labs and were informed on what happened. They had to make a quick stop and drop off Franklin and Valeria off with May before Susan can get them enrolled in school. "Who do you think you are?"
"He's the guy on the streets and I'm the one behind the chair." Cisco explains to her.
"Guy behind the chair?" Peter asked him with a brow raised. "Where have I heard that before?"
"You could've gotten yourself killed, you idiot!" Sue stated as she smacked her brother upside the head.
"Ow!" Johnny exclaimed.
"You can't be flying around the city, getting unwanted attention we don't need right now." Sue informed him.
"Why not?" Johnny asked as he rubbed the part of the head she smacked. "I thought this was what we were supposed to be doing. Being heroes, rescuing people in danger like Peter."
"The point in this was to keep us on standby in case there were any other people like us out there." Sue reminded him. "There are five of us. And Peter's been doing this for years, the public's already okay with him. Who knows how they'll react to someone walking down the street covered in flames." She gestured to him. "Or someone who can lift a tank." She gestured over to Jennifer. "Or someone else who looks like a walking mountain." She gestured over to Ben who was sleeping on a bed in the medical bay. It was the only thing that could keep his weight.
"They'd think we're completely awesome!" Johnny stated.
"Or they'd freak out and hang us for being witches." Jennifer retaliated.
"Yesh, paranoid much?" Johnny asked her.
"Women were hanged for being intelligent in the old days. I'm not getting hanged because I got green skin." Jennifer stated to him.
"Isn't your neck as unbreakable as the rest of you?" Cisco asked her. "What are you worried about? Speaking of which, can you even drown with your powers?" He asked as he turned to Johnny.
"Can I have some help over here?" Sue asked the other people with brains in the room.
"What I think Susan and Caitlin are trying to say, in their loving and sisterly ways, are that we're just beginning to understand what all of you are capable of." Harrison explains to them. "As much as I admire your want to help others Mr. Storm, I do caution restraint."
The conversation was cut short from going any further when they heard Ben snoring from the other room.
"Wow, he snores very loudly." Cisco commented.
"Poor Ben." Tess sighed as she saw that out of the five of them, he was the only one to get the most dramatic change.
"Hey, how come he can't turn it on and off like the rest of us?" Johnny wondered.
"There could be a number of different reasons." Harrison says as he removed his glasses. "His physical activity beforehand, the environment that his metamorphosis took place."
"And if it happened to him..." Tess started off.
"What, we won't be able to turn it off either?" Johnny asked. "That'd save time."
Peter then got a call from his own job and needed to race before he was late.
"You don't really wanna walk on fire for the rest of your life, do you?" Susan asked her brother.
"Is that a trick question?" Johnny asked her.
"Grow up, Johnny." Susan scoffed.
"Oh, come on! Am I the only one who can see that this could be an blessing? We could have been granted these powers for a reason?" Johnny asked them all.
"Yes." They all replied, except for Cisco who just finished his lollipop.
At a crime scene, Joe and Yuri were looking over the scene with a dead body inside of a arms store that was robbed.
"Perp made off with a bunch of handguns, at least six Glock 19s fitted with extra ammunition magazines." Joe listed everything that was taken.
"Someone either has a big hunting game ready to go, or there's gonna be a lot of problems soon." Yuri whispered while Barry Allen was doing his job.
"Footage may snow one guy, but it was actually six." Barry said to them as he looked over the footprints over the floor. "Six sets to be exact. And with the fact that six guns were stolen, we should be looking for a crew." He then looked down and was confused at what he was seeing. "The shoes, it looks like they're all the same size. Men's tens, I guess."
"Okay, so what are we looking for sextuplets?" Yuri asked.
"Something like that, I'd suppose." Barry guesses.
"Great. Good work, Allen." Joe said to him.
"But sadly, in a multiverse of infinite possibilities, not everyone will be getting the same ending as their other world counterparts."
Barry and Iris later on were seeing Simon Stagg and were there for her journalist article. Having a fun time, Barry a little crushed that his childhood crush was in a good relationship with someone else.
"As of this moment, a Meta-Human with the ability to multiply himself is here to seek revenge for his now dead wife. Simon Stagg stole his research and claimed it as his own before he could save her by growing her a new heart."
"How considerate." The multiplying Meta-Human stated as he shot his gun off to the ceiling. "You're all wearing your finest jewelry. It was almost like you knew we were coming to rob you!"
They then lined everyone up, demanding them to give up all their money and jewelry. And on their way out, they ran into a security guard.
"Freeze!" The guard shouted as the four men all aimed their guns at him. "D-drop your weapons!"
But the four of them then fired their weapons, several of them making impact and taking him down. That caused everyone to scream in terror as the four masked men escape.
Whilst that was happening, Barry Allen could only stand and watch, wondering what he could've done to prevent it.
"Sometimes, the world needs a hero like the Flash. Due to his early years, he had made some heroic changes to save many lives. But in this reality, all their lives are now in the hands of these five individuals instead of one hero. And the consequences of that one change are now presenting themselves."
Yuri was outside the Police Station, hating what she has to do as Peter came swinging in, still wearing a torn suit that he needed to get repaired soon.
"Let me guess... Simon Stagg?" Peter took a wild guess as Yuri nodded in confirmation. "Four guys. Possibly the same guys were chasing who held up an arms store. I don't think this is the last we've seen of them. Seems too random. Feels like it was planned."
"And it might happen again." Peter understood her concern. "Any leads?"
"I wish." Yuri sighed. "The one guard who actually tried to do their job got iced. In the ICU clinging to life as we speak."
"Oh god." Peter whispered. "We'll catch these guys. Fast."
"Hope so. You might wanna bring in your friends as well." Yuri said.
"Yuriko Watanabe, are you worried about me?" Peter asked in sarcastic shock.
Yuri looked unamused and rolled her eyes.
Harrison and Tess brought up the information they could of the attack at Stagg's reward ceremony.
"My god. That poor man." Jennifer said as she saw the footage.
"Yuri thinks that there's a connection between the guys here and the ones that held up a gun shop. Which, according to their CSI, have the same pair of shoes. Like identical." Peter informed them of everything he was informed.
"So, we're looking for identical twins?" Ben asked as he took a drink out of his steel mug.
"Sextuplets." Caitlin informed him of the proper term.
"Ha-ha!" The unbelievably immature Johnny Storm couldn't help but laugh at the name.
"Must you?" Sue asked her brother, not believing how immature he is. Maybe a little.
"Wait, did you notice how quick they all turned to face the guard?" Tess asked as they rewound the footage to see that when the guard came out to fight back, the four of them that were lined up turned in sync. "Maybe it's not a gang."
"You thinking this is the work of a Meta-Human?" Peter asked as he turned to face her.
"Maybe this one has the ability to manipulate minds." Jennifer wondered.
"No, even then, they wouldn't have identical bodies." Caitlin denied that theory.
"What if he's not controlling them, but is making them?" Peter asked as the idea popped into his mind. "What if this is someone who has some connection to the company Stagg's running?"
"The ability to regenerate bodies from the cellular level." Harrison understood his theory and thought it was worth looking into. "It's a possibility. But the only way to know for certain is to get ahold of him. Or at least a sample of his DNA."
"And to do that, he has to show himself again." Cisco added on. "And if he does have the ability to multiply himself...Multiplex!"
"What?" Jennifer asked.
"That's what we should call him." Cisco explained. "What? Peter's villains the only ones allowed to have fun nicknames?"
"Cisco, they gave themselves those nicknames. I didn't name them." Peter informed him.
"Wow, no wonder they're all terrible." Cisco muttered to himself.
"I dare you to do better." Peter stated. "Even better, come up with names for everyone in this room."
"Ooh, challenge accepted." Cisco dared.
In the dead of night, the head of Simon Stagg's head of security was meeting up with Danton Black in a dark alley with nobody around.
"What can I say? Even in alternate universes, all criminals love a good dark alley."
"Where's the rest of your crew?" Java asks Danton.
"Just me." Danton says as he removes the hood.
"What do you want, Black?" Java asked him with a sigh.
"The only thing I still want in life...your boss dead." Danton says with a snarl in his voice.
"It's not my fault you and your team moved too slow. I told you where Stagg would be, not how long he'd be there." He explains to Black.
"I need his full itinerary." Danton states. "And security access to his office and home."
"Screw you. I've got a reputation in the security business. It's one thing if my employer gets iced. It's another if it happens in his bedroom." Java stated to him, standing his ground
"You'll do what I ask, Mr. Java." Danton states to him and Java just punches him, sending him toppling to the ground.
"What the hell are you gonna do to me without your army?" Java asks Danton and starts walking off, fixing his suit on the way.
Danton Black starts to vibrate before he begins separating from himself copying himself multiple times.
Java then turned around and was shocked when he saw that there were now a dozen of Danton standing around him.
"I am an army." Danton tells Java and all of him begin to beat him to death.
