Caitlin has started looking over Crystal to make sure they were all right after taking that explosion. What was even stranger, Tess did a DNA test on them, and they were definitely not human. They were...Inhuman.
"These tests are revealing that their DNA isn't slightly different." Tess told Harrison. "They're revealing to be...completely different. Instead of strands of anomalies in human DNA, there are strands of human DNA in a bundle of anomalies."
"This is incredible." Harrison said. "They must be fifth, seventh generation of powered individuals."
"So, Medusa, where are you from?" Caitlin tried to strike up a conversation as she gave Medusa a checkup.
"Attilan." Medusa answers.
"Never heard of it." Johnny commented from the doorway.
"It's...on the move." Medusa confessed to them. "We're a floating city and don't really stay still for very long."
"So you're an alien?" Peter asked. "But you look...human."
"What are we supposed to look like?" Crystal asked as she was with Jennifer as she carried Lockjaw to a pile of blankets and pillows they set up in the lounge for him to heal.
"I'd think you'd look like that green woman back there." Johnny guessed as he gestured to the screens that had the footage playing of their attack.
"Yeah, who were those guy?" Sue wondered. "Seemed like they had it out for you."
"Must've been some bounty hunters after my brother-in-law framed us for murdering our family. Including my husband, King Black Bolt." Medusa answered her question.
"So, they're Supernatural Bounty Hunters." Cisco could see.
"And they're probably not gonna stop looking for them." Ben could see. "So what do we do? Hunt them down ourselves?"
"They don't look very professional." Peter commented as he saw how they reacted on one another. "I think we might be able to take them if we lure them into a secluded area."
"Then what? Take down the walking tree, talking raccoon, and god knows what's under that mask?" Cisco asked before thinking how crazy that sentence was. "Wow, that's my new sanest sentence."
"Sharon said that they ran off towards the woods last we saw them." Peter informed them. "Think we can find where they're hiding?"
"Whatever they came here in had to have shown up on NASA's satellites." Cisco said as he hacked into them. "Or at least shown up somewhere with its size and mass."
"Wait, I might have something." Tess beats him to the punch and showed the Collins Woods clearing had a gigantic ship parked in the woods.
"I can't believe we let them both get away." Quill scoffed as they were in the main room of the ship.
"It's not like we were trying to let them escape." Rocket defended.
"It looked like they had some sort of outside help." Gamora could tell. "There's no telling where they were able to get to."
"I am Groot." Groot stated to them.
"What do you mean, track the dog?" Rocket asked. "We tried tracking it."
"Wait, no, he might be onto something." Gamora suddenly thought. "We might be able to trace the dimensional energy from the dog's abilities. Rocket, track for any dimensional travel going on Earth, more importantly, around the city."
"On it." Rocket said and began to use the computers.
"A little too late." Peter's voice is heard through the ship when they turned and saw that him and the others were standing outside the ship.
"And what do you want?" Quill asked as he and the others marched out to meet them face to face.
"I want you and your team to get your asses off my planet." Peter informed them on what he wants.
"How would we accomplish that?" Drax asked as he looked down to his backside.
"It's...it's an expression." Peter stated, unsure how to take that.
"Don't bother, his kind take everything literally." Rocket explained to him.
"Look, these people didn't do anything wrong. They've been framed for a crime they didn't commit. Now we want you off this planet...or there's gonna be trouble." Peter promised them. "Did a test, they're telling the truth. So just leave them alone. They're our problem now."
"So get the hell off our planet." Susan demanded with a snarl.
"Trust me, I grew up with her, you do not want to anger her." Johnny warned them.
The Guardians all looked to one another with a shrug.
"You might need help then." Quill warned them.
"What do you mean?" Peter asked.
"We weren't the only ones coming for them. We just happened to be the closest." Gamora warns them.
"And what do you plan on doing?" Peter asked them.
"Simple. We make sure Maximus turns stops the bounty." Gamora stated.
"And how do you suppose we help with that?" Rocket asked.
Gamora had a thought and looked over towards their leader. "We need your mask."
ATTILAN:
Maximus has gotten the Genetic Council all together and was going over the plans for how they plan to avenge their fallen family.
"We will find those who are responsible for the death of my brother. For the deaths of the entire Royal Family. And when we find them, justice will be served." Maximus promised them all. "Finding them are my top priority!"
Just then, Lockjaw appeared in-between them all and quickly worked on the guards' guns with Medusa slamming all of their guards on the wall.
"Apologies. Seems they have come to us willingly." Maximus said in shock as he approached them. "Have you come to surrender?
"No. But with a message." Medusa said as she pulled out the mask belonging to Peter Quill and tossed it onto the floor. "That belonged to the bounty hunters that you sent out to kill us."
"This battle is between you and us." Crystal stated with a snarl. "Don't drag other worlds into our mess you created. The Guardians of the Galaxy were defeated. How do you think pitiful worlds and their sorry excuse for hunters will do against us?"
"When you're ready, we'll be waiting for you, Maximus." Medusa promised as they then dropped the guards and vanished back to Earth.
Maximus looked and picked up the mask and saw it was genuine. The most prized possession of the Star-Lord, and he wouldn't have given it up without a fight.
"Call off the bounty on their heads." Maximus demanded as he then had an idea. "But I wish to have a talk with Eldrac."
EARTH:
Lockjaw returned to STAR Labs where everyone was waiting to see how it went.
"We'll?" Peter asked.
"We'll know by tomorrow." Medusa said and then let out a sigh. "But we still have nowhere to go."
"You're welcome to stay here." Peter offered to them.
"Really?" Crystal asked. "Isn't that a little inconvenient?"
"No more inconvenient than every day of our lives." Johnny stated, causing Sue to smack him. "Ow! Will you suit that?"
"We just need to make sure you guys lay low and maybe change your appearances a bit so nobody recognizes you." Peter promises them.
Crystal and Medusa looked to one another, and they knew what they had to do. Medusa immediately shortening her hair to the point it was just under her shoulders, and Crystal picked up a pair of scissors from the table and immediately cut her hair to it being just above her neck, almost erasing the black stroke across her hair now cut it to be just on the top of her head.
"That's was more than I was expecting to do. I was just suggesting a pair of glasses." Peter muttered to himself.
"Glasses?" Cisco asked.
"You'd be surprised how well they work." Peter commented.
"Come on, we'll help get you guys set up for the night." Susan offered and led the two out of the room.
"Just out of curiosity, is that dog housebroken?" Caitlin asked.
"Yes, why?" Crystal asked.
"Just wondering who's gonna clean up after it." Caitlin said with a shrug, the four of them leaving the room with Cisco and Rocket having a discussion about their tech.
"Hey, don't touch that." Rocket warned Cisco who was gonna pick up a small device. "You'll crater this whole building."
"I liked that mask." Quill muttered to himself.
"You have like ten more." Gamora sighed in annoyance and walked off.
"Yeah, but I liked that one." Quill sighed as he followed after her.
On the balcony, the Watcher watched everything and all has seen to begin to cool down for them.
"Whilst they got settled with their new residents, the world was now made aware there are more powered beings. But somehow this group of heroes were still remaining a secret. But what they didn't know was that there was something on the horizon that would mark an end to their peace. Tell me, do you think that a world without the Flash is worth all of this?"
Reed was working on trying to get Danton Black to become a bit more...compliant with him wanting to take his war back to Central City to get back at his ex-wife when someone suddenly appeared in his workshop.
"Who the hell are you?" Reed asked the man.
"Just the answer to all of your prayers." Maximus answered him. "There've been rumors on the fact that powered individuals have been appearing. And I was able to track one far, far from the city."
"Reed looked afraid at what this guy knows and why he knows it.
"Oh, yeah. I also did my research on you, Reed Richards. I know all about you. You want back at your wife, and your wife is helping some people I need dead. With your brains, and my resources, together we can both get what we want." Maximus stated as he walked over towards Reed with his hand raised. "Interested?"
"A unity that will doom all of both Attilan and Earth if these heroes don't take a stand against it. But even they won't be enough to stop them. Not unless they have help."
"Yeah." Reed agreed with a grin and shook his hand.
Jessica Drew was released from HYDRA to hunt down and capture the powered individuals. But she had her own agenda in mind. She was going to use her freedom to get back at her captors and finally be free.
But to accomplish that, she actually does need to track down the team.
The Watcher saw all of this and then looked back into the night the particle accelerator exploded and saw that there was a woman was on a date at the local theater when the accelerator exploded.
"And on that same night of their rebirth, insisted of Farooq Gibran, someone else gained his powers and was now dawning an old mask. Once upon a time there was a superhero known as Guiding Light, who took residents in Starling City in her teenage years. But suddenly her powers vanished one day, and she retired from the hero life. But they were then reactivated by the accelerator."
Harley Cooper was sitting down watching the ending of the movie and she was on her way out when she saw a vending machine. Quickly seeing she had a moment with her friends busy going to the bathroom, she went to the vending machine and got a soda.
That's when the lights in the building and everything else turned off mid drop. Harley wondered what was happening as she reached into the machine.
But just then, the accelerator sent off the explosion and it ended with the machine electrocuting her, sending Harley flying backwards into a wall.
"The accident reactivated her genetics that gave her powers
Once it stopped, she looked down at her hand and saw a spark of electric pass through her middle and index finger. Then a streak of blue appeared on the right side of her hair.
"Harley Cooper. The Guiding Light as returned."
