"How long do you think you'll be gone?" Frost asked as Peter was packing to head for New York and track down Wade.
"About a day, maybe three." Peter answered as he walked around the house, on his way out. "I trust you guys enough to be able to look after the kids and the city."
"It's more than that." Frost sighed as she leaned on the doorway. "I thing Aster's been being picked on in school."
Peter stopped packing and looked up at her. "What, you mean bullied?"
"No, I mean someone's picking his favorite color." Frost said, and Peter could see the sarcasm flowing from her voice. "Of course I mean bullied!"
"Sorry." Peter apologized as he got back to packing his bag. "Okay, I'll get onto that when I get back. Might be bringing back a disfigured Wade.
"When isn't he disfigured?" Frost asks.
Peter rolled his eyes and zipped up his bag. "Just make sure that these crazy kids don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."
"No promises." Frost stated.
"This city. She's my city. Over the years, it has provided me with shelter, protection, and in return, I protect it." Tommy stated as he looked out into the cold distance of the night.
"Are you seriously narrating yourself?" Tina asked.
"I protect it with all I have." Tommy continued to narrate, only getting confused looks from Tina.
"My god, you had to pick up that trait from Dad?" Tina asked as she crotched down on the edge of the building.
"Oh, please, you've picked up a whole lot of Dad's traits with your quipping." Tommy scoffed as he copied his twin and stood on her right. "You were always Daddy's little girl."
Tina scoffed after hearing that and looked over to her brother. "Like you aren't a momma's boy."
Tommy looked over and had no retaliation to that and just then, an alert went off on their masks.
"Alert, we have a silent alarm tripped at P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries, available units, please respond."
"Dibs!" Tommy and Tina say at the same time and were about to shoot a web out to go when their masks went off again.
"Any units downtown, we have reports on a violent shoot out. Requesting available units to respond."
"Great. Now we have to split up." Tina sighed.
"Why can't Dawn help us out?" Tommy wondered.
"Did you forget today is a school day for her?" Tina questioned as she walked over and tapped the side of her mask. "Lyla, set a course on where the call came from."
Then her mask activated two visors over her eyes, similar to how they do for Kate Kane, and started to plot a course for her to follow.
Lyla, AKA Lyrate Life-Form Approximation is Tina's personal artificial intelligence that she has been working on since she and her brother graduated college. She said that since her dad had Karen, her Uncle Barry had Gideon, she should have her own A.I. She's still in her early stages, and is limited to what she can do, at least away from her HUB, which is her system she keeps in a personal lab that Peter gave his kids to work on projects and stuff where nobody would see.
Meanwhile, her brother used it for small gadgets, thinking one day his sister would allow him to use her A.I. as they do share a hub screen. Peter's impressed with the both of them, but you can see which he's more impressed by, as even he needed Stein and Fox's help for Karen.
Wow, Tina might be a Daddy's girl.
The two then split up, both going off to find out what the crimes are about.
In National City, Anjelica sighed as she was swirling her straw around her smoothie. After her argument with her parents, she doesn't exactly know what she is going to do.
"Whoa. Looks like someone's been through the ringer." Roberta commented as she walked over and sat across from her friend. "What happened?"
"Uh...I just got yelled at by my parents for my...dangerous activities." Anjelica sighed, wanting to tell her best friend the truth.
"You? Dangerous?" Roberta questioned, not believing that for a second and when chuckled.
"How'd it go with McCulloch Technologies?" Anjelica wondered, focused on her drink.
"Meh, I got an intern position for one of their projects. Said more would be explained when I started." Roberta said, no idea what she's really doing.
"At least one of us had a good day." Anjelica guessed.
"Okay, yeah, this is bugging me. What could you have done that's so dangerous?" Roberta questioned, not seeing anything that her best friend could possibly do. "I mean, I don't see anything you could possibly stomach to do something bad."
Anjelica saw there was no way she could talk to her friend about this without revealing her secret, and just decided maybe she should trust her best friend with this.
"Come with me." Anjelica said as she got up and Roberta was gonna ask why but decided to go with it and followed along.
Anjelica leads the two of them into the alley and knew she can't keep lying to her best friend, especially after everything that happened today.
"Okay, I'm gonna tell you something that only the people closest to me know." Anjelica started off, looking like she's about to explode. "Do you think that I can trust you with something big?"
Roberta looked confused, as Anjelica has told her everything about herself, to the point it's a little creepy. "Angel, you trusted me with telling me the first boy you kissed. Yeah, I can keep a secret."
"Okay, I just wanted to make sure." Anjelica whispered as she marched back and forth, almost identical to how her mother was doing it. "I just...I thought my folks would be excited for me. But it turns out my mom is infuriated by me, and my dad is too afraid of my mother to disagree with her." She sighed as she didn't really know how to explain to her best friend that she can see through walls, sense danger, and a whole number of things. "There's something that most of my life I've been told to hide by my uncles, my aunts, my parents. But today, I've decided to just embrace it, and I don't think I can stop."
Roberta then started to get a little confused and started to jump to her own conclusions. "Wait, Angel, are you a lesbian?"
Anjelica stopped her talk and looked from enthusiastic to very confused. "No!"
"Hey, no offense. I wouldn't mind." Roberta assured her and patted Anjelica's shoulder. "Even though it'd make things a bit awkward between us if you were into me."
"Rob, I'm not gay." Anjelica sighed and rubbed her head. "You really think my gay aunt would tell me to hide that?"
"Good point." Roberta suddenly remembered that her Aunt Alex was lesbian. "Apologies. Please, continue with your point."
Anjelica sighed and saw it was time to finally reveal it. "Watch this." She said to Roberta before she flew into the air, doing a flip and landing on the other end of the ally.
"Oh my god!" Roberta cried in shock before she then laughed at what she saw. "Oh my god! You're her!"
"Super-Arachnid." Anjelica confirmed with a smile.
Roberta laughed when a thought struck her. "Oh, my god. Your parents are superheroes!"
Anjelica then looked disappointed but supposed she should've seen that coming with her connecting the dots together. But still, she didn't have to go off of that.
"Really?" Anjelica sighed, happy her best friend was at least excited for her.
Back in Central City, Tina swung through the city when she heard what looked like a gigantic beam of purple going into the sky.
"What the hell is that?" Tina questioned as she followed it.
In the location, the girl who recently arrived in Central City was just attacked by muggers, ending with her getting stabbed and killed.
That's when the glow came and she immediately woke back up.
"What the hell?!" One of the muggers asked as they aimed a gun at the girl this time.
"Hey!" Tina cried as the three muggers turned to see her swinging in and kicking the first one she could get her foot onto. "Pick on someone your own size!"
"Good idea!" The second guy said as he swung his knife at Tina, who immediately dodged it.
Tina then saw this as a good chance to try out a new trick she's been working on. Closing her eyes, she concentrated her ide powers to enlarge a coat around her fist and used it to punch the man, shattering the ice and knocking him out.
"You know, now I'm starting to feel like this isn't a fair fight." Tina stated when her senses went off and saw they had a van that was heading in her direction. "Okay, now it's getting a little fair."
Tina quickly used her powers again to create a staff of ice and smacked the third guy in the face before racing over and picking the girl up and leaping out of the way from the car.
Once they got out of the way, the car ended up crashing into the brick wall that was on the other end.
"Whoo. That was a close one." Tina said to the girl she's currently keeping shielded. But then her senses went off again, and she saw what looked to be sparks of electricity flying at her.
The girl closed her eyes, and a red aurora came off of her, which ended up sending the electricity back where it came from.
Tina looked shocked from both the electric blast and what the girl just did. "Whoa. Okay, not bad for a dead girl." She then saw something coming and shielded the girl. "What is this?"
What came next were a dozen sparks of yellow electricity that all aligned in the middle of the opening of the alley. The yellow lightning all came together and began to form a person, wearing short skintight green shorts with yellow lightning printed on both legs. The shirt was a short skintight top with the same lighting print.
"Thad be me...Electro!" She stated with a giant grin and she started to float down, sparks emanating off of her as she did.
When Tina looked and got a better look, she realized that she was wearing the vest that Maxwell would use to harness his powers. Tina sighed and realized that Tommy was right about them needing to deal with the freaks that discovered the people who found the Sinister Six gear.
"You know, now I gotta admit that my brother was right. Do you know how much I hate to admit that?" Tina asked the new Electro.
The newly registered Electro just smirked as she summoned several bolts and sent them flying at the two of them. Tina grabbed the girl and leaped out of the way of the first blast, ducked before she could get hit from the second, and ended up crawling up the wall from the combined blast that shocked the whole floor.
"Listen, Electro, this is not a good time." Tina stated as she made it to the roof and Electro followed her. "I need to get this girl out of here and figure out what was with the guys and the whole coming back from the dead thing."
"Let's see if she can Frankenstein herself again with a boost." Electro stated as she summoned more lighting, but then her powers seem to suddenly stop and she start to slip.
"You're...you're not used to using these powers, are ya?" Tina suddenly realized as she cooled down and watched her slip. "And you went after the big guns?"
"You? The big guns? Ha. Spider-Man's one of the big guns. And Flash isn't seen much during the night." Electro scoffed as she finally started to charge back up.
"Touché." Tina said as she then grabbed the girl again and shot a giant web net at her, tangling Electro up in the process of her escape.
"You can run, Spider...or Spinner...but you can't hide!" Electro promised as she turned herself into electricity again and escaped.
What she missed was Tina was hiding underneath a nearby balcony and sighed. "Seems like I still can." She then looked down to the girl she was holding under her shoulder so she wouldn't slip. "What happened back there? What's your name?"
The girl looked back to Tina, no clue what to make of the situation herself, and didn't seem to be in a talkative mood right now.
"Great. Nice talk." Tina sighed as she reached up and tapped on a device on her ear. "Lyla, I need you to track any upcoming electrical current similar to the one from the Electro file and lead me to STAR Labs. Call mom."
Once she had a path, she started to follow it as she called her mom.
"Tina, everything okay?" Caitlin asked, surprised to get the call.
"Uh, not really. Been a weird night." Tina admitted, acting like it's a casual conversation. "I just broke up a fight between some girl and a gang, watched her come back to life, oh and I found the Electro vest. Just got attacked by the new Electro, bringing in the dead girl."
"What? Where's your brother?" Caitlin asked, shocked after hearing all of this.
"No idea. Went to go see about a robbery." Tina answered as she sneaked off, avoiding new Electro the best she could.
On the building of P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries, a character was climbing up the side where they then lifted a finger, releasing a claw and then cutting through the thick glass easily.
The figure was a figure with long flowing white-platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. Her outfit consists of a black suit with white bushy accents and black goggles. The gloves of her costume form retractable claws at the fingertips and were also black but had two long bushy white parts down from her arm to elbow.
Making her way inside, she looked around and smiled at seeing the low security. But then she stopped when she saw a drone flying up to her and aiming taser guns at her.
"Please show identification."
Felicia smiled as she pulled out a tablet that immediacy connected itself to the drone and hacked through, making herself invisible to its sensors. "My high school has better security."
"Yeah, I'll admit, you'd think there would be better security here." Someone said, making the intruder turn around and see Tommy. "But I highly doubt when they built this place that they expected some hot, young woman climbing up the side and cutting through five inches thick glass."
"Did you just call me young and hot?" The thief asked with a coy smile as she leaned back, attaching a USB to the laptop in the office without Tommy even noticing.
"Hey, I'm a superhero, but I still have eye sockets." Tommy defended, trying to use his father's attempts at humor to throw the criminals off guard. "Who exactly are you?"
"Just a stray...Black Cat." The woman said with a smirky smile, and then winked at the hero.
"Did...did you just wink at me?" Tommy questioned, getting thrown off by her tactics.
"Did I?" She asked.
Tommy sighed and dropped from the ceiling, seeing he's waisted enough time. "Is that so? Well, come on then kitty. Let's take this nice and easy. I'll take you back to the kennel where they'll put you in a nice shiny cage." Tommy's senses then went off too late when he had to dodge an attack from the Black Cat who clawed his face, only slightly scratching his mask.
"Your parents never warned you to never approach a stray cat, did they?" Black Cat asked with a smirk.
"What the hell? Whoa!" Tommy asked and shuttered when his mask started to glitch and he knew there was no way she could have caused this. "What did you do?"
"Well, I couldn't have you go calling Daddy-Spider or Spider-Sister, now could I?" Cat asked as she tapped the counter with her claw that was sparking. "It's just a quick virus, just something that will last long enough."
"Okay, you might've taken out my gadgets, and possibly blinded me a little, but I still have my powers." Tommy stated as he shot a blast of mist at Black Cat, who flipped over the table and dodged the blast.
Tommy leaped onto the frosted table and saw there was no sign of her. "What the heck?"
His senses then went off as Black Cat somehow ended up behind him and kicked him, sending him flying and crashing into one of the other tables.
"What?!" Tommy asked, shocked someone like her was somehow able to send someone like him, who trained and controls his strength flying into the table.
"Did you think you were the only one in the room that was enhanced?" Black Cat asked as she dropped down on top of Tommy sending her claw down his chest. "Am I sending a shiver down your spine?"
"Is it getting cold in here, or is it just me?" Tommy asked, also using his own quips before using his legs and kicking Black Cat off him, which she used to stick herself to the ceiling with help of the claws.
"Where are the security guards when you need them?" Tommy asked, wondering how she hasn't alerted them or where his sister is, and why she isn't helping him.
Tina had just brought the silent girl to her mother at Star Labs, who looked her over with help from Gideon as she just sat there in the safety room patiently.
"Any word from your brother?" Caitlin asked as she looked over her scans of the girl, including a facial recognition scan.
"Nope, he's gone silent. I think it had to do with our talk beforehand." Tina guessed she struck a nerve with the whole 'Momma's boy' comment, not thinking her brother is in any trouble.
"Well, our little mystery girl is gonna be a little quiet it seems." Frankie mentioned as she looked at the girl. "You said she came back to life?"
"Yeah. I watched her dead body on the security footage, and then she just glows purple and resurrected herself." Tina stated exactly what she saw.
"Well, it looks like we're stuck with a mystery, wrapped in with an enigma. Bad day to loose dad." Frankie sighed.
"Well, then it's a good thing mystery is my middle name." A voice said, shocking most as they recognized it and looked to the doorway to see none other than Ralph Dibny. Elongated Man. Wearing a tux. "The names Dibny. Ralph Dibny."
"Ralph. So good to see you." Caitlin said as she walked over and gave him a hug.
"Yeah, so great." Frankie said as she walked over and gave her uncle a hug. "It's been so long."
"What's with the suit?" Tina wondered.
"Oh, you like? I picked this up in Opal." Ralph said.
"Opal City?" Frankie asked.
"Yep. After spending most of the summer undercover rubbing Rolexes with the wealthy elites and wrapped up another case." Ralph said with a proud look. "Hey, did you know it's pronounced yacht and not yah-kt?"
The three girls looked very confused as why he would think that's how it's pronounced.
"Yep." Tina confirmed.
"God, I've missed you." Frankie said with a smile.
"Where's our Spider-Men?" Ralph wondered.
"Wade Wilson's wife got killed, Peter went to go check on him." Caitlin explained.
"Miles is...on a date." Frankie explained where he was.
"Thought you two were still dating?" Ralph questioned.
"No." Frankie replied, a little too fast. "We broke up. Mutual."
"Huh." Ralph shrugged. "Frost?"
"Going to have a talk with Aster back home." Frankie answers.
"Where's Daniel?" Tina wondered when a figure came out from behind Ralph, who looked like a little version of Ralph.
"Hey there, Spider-Lady." Daniel Dibny greeted his friend.
"It's Spinneret, Waistband." Tina retaliated with a grin.
"Who's that?" Ralph asked as he noticed the girl.
"Our zombie girl who I rescued before getting attacked by a younger female version of Electro." Tina explained.
"Of course." Ralph sighed and wished he didn't ask.
"We were just waiting for Gideon to get our results on who she is." Caitlin said as she gestured to the computers.
"Oh, that's right, hey Gideon." Ralph greeted the computer screens.
"Hello, Detective Dibny." Gideon greeted, almost sounding like she was also pleased to see him. "It's great to see you again."
"It's great to see you, too." Ralph said and noticed a few others were missing. "Where's Rookie, WS, and Patty?"
"School night for the Allen's, and Tommy is checking out a break in at P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries." Caitlin explained where everyone else was.
"Dr. Snow-Parker, I discovered the identity of our guest." Gideon tells them.
"Great. Who is she?" Frankie asked.
Gideon then pulled up her information and saw a name.
"Gabrielle Daou." Caitlin read off the screen and looked at the photo and of the girl. "Are you sure, Gideon? She doesn't look like her.
"Perhaps you should read a little further." Gideon offered.
Caitlin continued to read and was shocked when she saw that the girl died ten years ago. "So she has the skill to keep resurrecting herself?"
"Says here she can understand English." Frankie commented as she looked over to 'Gabrielle' and saw that she didn't even flinch when her name was mentioned. "Mind if I had a moment alone with her?"
"Take a stab." Caitlin gestured for her to go in herself.
Frankie then walked in and saw the girl flinch at the sight of her. "Hi, Gabrielle." She greeted, using her name to see if there was any reaction, but it seemed she didn't recognize her name. "My name is Frankie." She gestured to herself before walking over and kneeling down in front of her. "Can you understand me?"
Gabrielle looked as if she was studying Frankie, taking in every detail, and it seemed she didn't understand the question.
"Do you know your name?" Frankie asked.
"Name?" She asked, shocking Frankie.
"Yes, name." Frankie said, smiling in joy. And Peter never thought that her teaching degree/job would help out on superhero work. He never really said it, but she could see it in his eyes. "Do you understand English?"
"English." She repeated. "I understand."
Frankie then noticed she must be using some sort of observational learning. Meaning that she seems to be learning English by watching others.
Through the fight, Tina was talking and making quips, and then Electro gave off her menacing speech. And their glass isn't exactly thick, so it's possible that she heard their interaction with Ralph and Daniel.
"Do you remember anything before our friend found you?" Frankie wondered.
She thought for a moment and couldn't think of anything. "No. I'm sorry."
Frankie sighed and saw she was trying her best. "It'll be okay. You're gonna be okay." She then left and went to talk with the others.
"So, was that a waste of time, or did we learn something?" Ralph question, unsure of what was accomplished.
"She doesn't remember anything, meaning she didn't come her to harm anyone, she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time." Frankie explains what they learned. "Doesn't seem like she lives here, meaning she came here alone."
"And a whole lot more." Caitlin said as she showed the footage from Tina's suit and Gabrielle's resurrection. "Look at that violet glow resurrecting off her."
"Looks like a light show." Daniel commented as they saw the forcefield that she used to save Tina from Electro's blast.
Tina was happening to look at Gabrielle and noticed when Caitlin said violet, that she responded by looking up.
"Violet?" Tina repeated and Gabrielle looked up, and they realized that's what she thinks her name is. "Gideon, is there any Violet's in our data that looks like her?"
"I can't say that there are any, Tina." Gideon replied.
"Well, she thinks her name is Violet." Tina commented.
"Maybe she likes the color, or maybe she knows something about these powers of hers that we don't." Caitlin could guess. "We might wanna keep her close for observation. And I'm not exactly waiting to throw her out on the streets."
"Tina, why don't you go see if you can find your brother?" Frankie asked, getting a little worried, as is Caitlin.
"Sure." Tina guessed and left them alone as she walked off and got in her suit before swinging off.
Tommy was currently shooting a giant stream of ice at Black Cat, who revealed to have a grapple gun and used it to dodge the attack and used it to her advantage to kick Tommy in the face. The entire room was either trashed or covered in a thin layer of ice due to the fight, and Tommy was starting to think he should try some more training sessions with Aunt Frost
"Spinneret is never gonna let me live this down." Tommy muttered to himself.
Black Cat then lets her line go and tackled Tommy to the ground and wrapped herself around the hero. "I certainly wouldn't let you."
"Okay, now this is getting ridiculous." Tommy stated as he did a leap and started to freeze the air around him, which didn't harm him, but started to cause Cat to lose her breath. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
Cat then lets him go, landing on her hands and feet in the process, trying to get rid of the ice in her lungs and breath. Tommy sees this might be his chance to finally stop her, and his suit finally rebooted, so he quickly shoots out a giant web of webbing, creating a strait jacket and taking her down.
"Hey. That's just cheating." Black Cat stated when the computer in the room bleeped and they saw her USB finished downloading everything. "Well, it's been fun. But now I've gotta go."
She then spun around, taking Tommy with her, sending him flying into the wall, creating a hole in the wall. Cat cuts herself free from the webbing and made it over to the computer where she took the USB and swayed through the office and Tommy tried to pick himself back up.
"Well, that woman gives a new definition to the word knockout." Tommy sighed as he rubbed his head. "You're not getting away that easily." He promised as he went to stop her, but Black Cat dropped out of the window and by the time Tommy got there, there was no sign of her. "Oh, boy."
And just then, Tina finally made it and landed on the side of the window where she saw the mess and damage caused. "I'm gonna go on a limb and say things didn't go well for either of us, huh?"
"New Black Cat." Tommy sighed. "You?"
"New Electro, new house mate." Tina confirmed with a sigh. "Dad chose the wrong time to take a vacation."
"Yep." Tommy confirmed.
Black Cat made it as far as she thought was necessary and saw there was nobody around and dropped down to a roof of a building where she removed her mask, making her entire suit disappear into it. Hey, she stole the suit from a museum, doesn't mean she didn't give it some upgrades.
Once the mask was removed, she revealed to have light brown hair with a few small white highlighted streaks at the end of her hair and showed she was wearing casual clothing, ripped jeans, a small white shirt that was a little torn (she did it herself), and casual shoes.
She sighed and lied down on her bed, in the middle of an orphanage where she then pulled out her computer and plugged in the USB to see she did indeed get everything from the computer.
"Ashley Moon." Someone said, causing the girl to close her laptop and look to see one of the other girls of the orphanage standing next to her bed. "And just where were you?"
"Who are you, my probation officer, Jessie?" Ashley asked with a scoff.
"No but if you get caught, you're gonna need one. What did you do this time?" Jessie asked as she tried to look.
"Nothing. Just...looking." Ashley guessed was a plausible answer.
"Yeah." Jessie sighed as she got up. "The same thing you've been looking for over 10 years for."
"It's not like I go out there looking for trouble." Ashley scoffed.
"But trouble always seems to find you." Jessie said as she then walked away.
Ashley then looked down at the tablet that showed she got into the database from P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries, including their bank accounts. But she wasn't interested in that as she scrolled through the other things she copied and looked through all of their personal files they collect on the employees.
