Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail
Unwinnable Fight
"You know, it is rather impoli to not introduce oneself when meeting a new face, but I will te pardonner should you fix that." Sol's statement toward the somewhat imposing man had followed a rather long pause following the two S-Class mages locating both him and Lucy. Sol for one saw the new arrival as rather rude for having interrupted their operation. He was fairly certain that he was not a member of Fairy Tail either. One of Sol's specialties was gathering information, his skill in this being one of the main areas he became S-Class, allowing him to thoroughly prepare for any opponent's skills or strategies. It was his research into Fairy Tail's members that allowed this whole operation to go off so smoothly, and why Lucy was currently without her keys.
"I don't think the rocket man will be entertaining that idea." Juvia said bluntly, Harry wondering why she was sticking with that name. Lucy was currently behind him, now magicless, and the target of the two S-class mages in front of him. He had no intention of giving them his name, as he didn't know what else they could have hiding up their sleeves, nor did he know the whole of the situation. Thus remaining anonymous was the safest bet.
"Then perhaps we should pick up exactly where we left off." Sol said, his french accent still almost sickeningly thick as the two phantom lord mages seemed to be ready to strike. They were not prepared for Harry's next maneuver though. The armored wizard suddenly spun around, grabbed Lucy again, eliciting a girlish yelp in the process, and rocketed away from them, once again fleeing.
"You could have warned me!" Lucy yelled as they both sailed through the rain, quickly breaking through the low-hanging magical clouds, and into the clear sky. Harry stopped ascending and hovered at a rather impressive height, holding lucy bridal style as he looked down in case they were pursued.
"If I had, it would have warned them." Harry stated simply, watching the clouds carefully. "Where is the rest of the guild? We'll need their support if you want to stay uncaptured." Lucy frowned at that, a bit of a sad look coming to her face.
"They're in oak town, at Phantom Lord's main base. They went there to assault it, and I guess that while we did that, they would send two of the element four to capture me…" Lucy grew a bit quiet as Harry shifted his attention to her.
"What started all of this anyway?" At Harry's question, Lucy grew very nervous, mostly due to the fact of Edmond's involvement in that particular explanation. She didn't want to worry Harry on top of their current predicament, especially with herself virtually rendered powerless without her keys. Nevertheless, she felt she should be honest about it.
"Phantom Lord, they attacked some of our members last night in a surprise attack, the day after they had wrecked our guild hall too." Lucy explained, Harry now understanding why Fairy Tail was involved, but he was still curious as to how everything began, or more specifically, why this 'Phantom Lord' started the aggression in the first place. "The members though…" Lucy continued, Harry refocusing on the blonde. "I think you should know one of them-" Lucy's statement was cut off as the airspace around them grew darker, clouds rising from the storm beneath them as rain began to swirl around them with steadily increasing intensity.
"You will not escape rocket man." Juvia's voice cut through the storm, both Harry and Lucy looking down in slight shock and horror respectively as a large mass of water began scaling the clouds themselves, bouncing off of the surface of the clouds inside of the storm. Juvia's very face could barely be seen in the mass, but a determination in her voice was unmistakable.
Harry didn't wait as he ascended again, intending to escape the storm yet again. Unfortunately, Juvia seemed to have other plans.
"Water Slicer!" Juvia's shout was followed by several streams of water seemingly climbing up the clouds around them, before large slices of ultra sharp water burst forth from all directions around Harry and Lucy. Juvia had expected the spell to catch them both off guard and cause enough damage to send them to the ground. What she did not expect was for a rather intense and sudden burst of force to erupt from beneath the armored man, sending him higher and faster than she had ever seen an unknown wizard go. However, her spell had already surrounded them, and she had anticipated him to keep going upwards.
Harry winced as one of the 'water slicers' struck his armored back. The attack was pretty well absorbed by the armor, the damage resistance reducing a fair amount of the force. However, there was no way he could avoid all of them, the attack being near Omnidirectional, it left little wiggle room to dodge, which also meant there was no way he could keep Lucy from getting hit.
The celestial wizard cried in pain as several of the 'slicers' struck her body, her natural durability protecting her for the most part, leaving only shallow cuts and red marks as the attacks hit. But that did not mean they didn't hurt her. Lucy attempted to get her whip out to hopefully block some of the projectiles, but as soon as she had it out, one of the attacks struck her wrist, causing her to drop the whip from her hand.
Harry pushed onward, finally breaking through the onslaught of slicers, and breaking through the clouds again, this time, much further up, and with the clouds following them as Juvia attempted to pursue. He had no time to check his status as he sped away, heading for what appeared to be a large building at the back of the town, pierced with a number of large iron pillars. Shrugging aside the odd sight, he sped towards it, hoping he might be able to find something useful to use inside, or at least hide Lucy away somewhere. He doubted that the two mages would lose track of him at this point.
"Stop!" Lucy's shout caused Harry to look down at her, but he did not slow in his approach. "That's the guild! If we lead them there, then they'll destroy what little of it is left!" That explains it's size and the iron pillars. Probably part of what started this whole mess. Harry thought to himself, but nonetheless, did not stop.
"Regardless, a big building like that would be the best place to hide you so I can lead them away." Harry said, making Lucy's eyes go wide.
"H-Hey! I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm not just going to sit by like some powerless damsel! I might not have my keys, but that doesn't mean-"
"It means that your effective strength has been halved if not more." Harry states bluntly, making Lucy flinch a bit. "Regardless of what you might be capable of without your keys, do you really believe the two of us could take on two... 'S-Class' mages all on our own?" Harry asked plainly, making Lucy frown, getting the point he was trying to put forward, and knowing he was likely right.
"But we still can't go in there. Mirajane is there. She… can't use her magic, she'd be even more defenseless than us." Lucy stated, causing Harry to finally pause, before he suddenly shifted course, away from the guild, and this time, back down into the streets and alleys of magnolia.
"Should have started with that." Harry stated simply, weaving into the city streets, and below the storm, taking as many corners as he could in order to lose Juvia. He began to think of another way to escape, greatly considering the possibility of going back to Ginville. However, as he did so, the ground beneath him suddenly sprouted upwards, the cobblestone street splitting apart as a large pillar of earth appeared in front of him.
Harry was forced to stop, quickly shifting to a standing position, several of the plates suddenly extending out to act as air brakes, barely able to stop before slamming into the pillar in front of him. The plates receded, but before Harry could fly away again, his foot was suddenly grabbed by the ground itself, a protrusion of earth reaching up and grabbing him. Harry attempted to escape, but the earth held strong, his thrusters desperately trying to lift them up, but to no avail.
"Harry! Look out!" Lucy's shout was too late, as another tendril of earth wrapped around Harry's armored neck, pulling him back as his thrusters attempted to reverse the force. He would have begun to choke if it wasn't for the armor itself being resistant to contracting forcefully. Even so, he could still feel the pressure on his windpipe somewhat, forcing him to resist the urge to start panicking.
"Non non non." Harry resisted the urge to cringe as he heard a now familiar french accented voice of Sol as the S-class mage suddenly emerged directly in front of him from the earthen pillar he had just avoided slamming face-first into. "That is simply enough, this game of cat and mouse ends he-" Sol was suddenly cut off as a beam of pure ethernano struck his chest, sending him flying through his own pillar, and skidding back a few feet, very clearly dazed. Harry furrowed his brow, not happy with the 10% of his total energy that one attack had cost him. His status told him just how really dire of a situation this was becoming.

Harry felt the earthen restraints let up slightly, allowing him to break through the now still earth. He saw Lucy quickly grabbed something off the ground as she looked back at him, slightly bewildered. It seemed as though she wanted to ask something, but cut herself off as her eyes were drawn upwards and behind him, her eyes going wide with surprise, and horror. Harry turned around to see a massive pillar of water swiftly approaching them. The armored wizard swiftly grabbed Lucy yet again, and pushed off the ground with his thrusters.
Harry heard the sound of the ground cracking as something caught up to him in his peripherals, and not bothering to look, kicked his thrusters to max, taking off faster than whatever it was could catch them.

He would run out of power soon, and the two S-classes weren't just going to stop if he escaped town. Harry's thoughts became somewhat frantic as he tried to think of the best way out of the situation.
"Harry, I can help, we don't have to keep running!" Lucy yelled over the wind and rain, her soaking wet body clinging to the cold iron suit in effort merley to not fall. "That Sol guy dropped my keys! I can summon someone to help us!" Harry glanced behind him to see Juvia had followed, keeping up with him better than he would have liked, while Sol was nowhere to be seen.
"I appreciate the offer, but unless you have some kind of S-class summon or something, I don't know if we have any other choice than to just keep running." Harry said, also yelling somewhat to make sure his voice was heard. One of his two trump cards had just been taken in the face by Sol at the cost of a tenth of his total power with little to no effect. His other trump card was arguably much more powerful, but he would have to get much closer to him in order to use it. If he tried to use it on Juvia, it would be a waste.
"Maybe she isn't considered properly S-class, but she's the most powerful card up our sleeve." Lucy said with seriousness, making Harry look to her. "And considering all the rain round us, it should be relatively easy to summon her." Lucy's smirk was not lost on Harry as his mind drifted to what exactly she meant by that. Did some of her summons have conditions that needed to be met before-hand? He asked himself, but shook it off in favor of more pressing matters.
"Are you sure?" Harry asked, to which he received a firm nod. "Alright then, Well, if what you said indicates she requires water to summon her, can you summon her now?" He asked, to which he received another nod. "Then do it. I'll try to keep us out of reach of-" Harry's words were suddenly cut off as a force of some kind slammed into his back, knocking him off balance, and nearly losing grip of Lucy. He looked up to see Juvia had slammed a tendril of water into them, and seemed to be going for a grab. Harry turned his thrusters to max yet again, avoiding the liquid appendage. "I think it would be a good idea if you could summon them now." Harry said, attempting to go in a serpentine pattern to lose Juvia, but it didn't seem to waver her own speed.
"Open: Gate of the waterbearer!" Harry's eyes suddenly widened as he realized she was about to summon Aquarius. Or at least, some kind of representation of her. Its hard to really gauge, but given the context of this world, Aquarius must have some kind of water powers. Fighting fire with fire huh? Harry thought, swerving again, as the tendril seemed to be about to reach them, Juvia herself now much closer, her eyes visible through the water column she was inside. "Aquarius!" Lets hope it works. Harry thought to himself, wincing a bit as the bright golden light from one of Lucy's keys shined intensely before a golden wave of magic coalesced not far from him, forming into the shape of a mermaid, before suddenly gaining color. Then something strange happened.
"The hell did you summon me in the rain for ya brat!?" Aquarius's yell seemed to make Lucy shiver a bit even as the water tendril that had been following them ground to a halt, Juvia herself suddenly stopping, the water that she was made of suddenly now floating there in space. Harry stopped as well, seeing as how Juvia was now frozen in place. He took the chance to take in Aquarius's form, and he was right, she was a real mermaid, her fish half having water-blue scales and her womanly half only wearing a simple dark-blue bikini top and a pair of golden armlets and bracelets on her arms, and a golden belt and circlet. She had long light blue hair, and blue eyes, that curiously lacked any pupils. But despite how beautiful she is, she had a rather angry scowl on her face. "And why the hell are we a hundred feet in the air!?" Her voice once again cut through the storm, Lucy just laughed nervously.
"H-Hey Aquarius." Lucy said nervously, the water spirit looking at the girl with scrutiny, and then her gaze fell to Harry, who tried to remain impassive under the glare. Before finally it settled on Juvia, her scowl deeping as she did. "You wouldn't mind helping us out, would you?" Lucy's rather reluctant question was mostly ignored as the water spirit and water mage stared each other down.
"You bothering the brat?" Aquarius's question was more rhetorical than anything, because everyone present knew the answer to that.
"Juvia will accomplish her goal, and no siren will stop me." Aquarius seemed to pause at those words, before her face broke into an enraged scowl.
"Siren!?" Aquarius screamed, making Lucy cling to Harry for dear life, as Juvia's eyes widened, the water around her turning from a dark blue to a light cyan as Aquarius's magic seemed to take over "Im no Siren you BITCH!" Aquarius yelled, Juvia suddenly being thrown upwards and away, many of the clouds parting from the sheer speed and force. Harry watched in amazement as the massive mass of water was sent hurtling out of town. It seemed to shift and attempt to break occasionally, likely from Juvia attempting to escape, but before it could, it landed on the side of a distant hill, the sound of the impact being heard as a dull thud to Harry and Lucy.
"Holy shit." Harry said, stunned at the display of power. Which unfortunately brought the attention of Aquarius to him.
"And who the hell are you?" Aquarius asked dangerously, even as the surrounding storm seemed to begin to subside. Harry considered the woman before he sighed, knowing he didn't want to be on the receiving end of her power.
"Harry, Harry White." He answered simply, cringing as he saw her eyes narrow, especially as he noted his rather low power reserves.
"He's a friend Aquarius. If it wasn't for him, I would have been captured." Lucy said, with a surprising amount of resolve as her and the spirt looked each other down. Harry considered those words, but thought nothing of it, figuring she was merely paying him back.
"Tch." Her face contorted into a scowl as she turn away quickly before facing the two mages again. "Just don't let me catch you doing anything funny to the brat." Aquarius said threateningly, before her form was set alight in golden light as she suddenly disappeared.
"Well, that was interesting…" Harry said, slowly descending down to the front of the guild, letting Lucy down, and looking around for any sign of Sol.
"I hope the other one went to check on Juvia… I don't know if we could take on another S-Class." Lucy said tiredly sighing as Harry took a chance to look at his suit's status.

Harry was concerned more because of his lack of power than the durability of his armor. He was actually pleasantly surprised by how effective his armor and enchantments were at mitigating damage. He expected to be much worse off after facing an S-class.
"Harry, are you okay?" Lucy asked hesitantly, looking over his battered armor, to which Harry nodded.
"Low on power, but I'll make it, and you? You don't even have any armor to protect you…" Harry began as he shifted his way downwards, freezing as he realized Lucy's clotheswere still soaking wet, and close to in tatters. "Especially now…" He said, looking back at her face while crossing his arms. Lucy seemed confused for a moment before she realized what he was referring too, yelling as she rushed into the guild.
Harry frowned as he looked at the guild's only intact interior, the basement. Lucy had thankfully found a change of clothes that a woman named Mirajane had on hand. He had yet to introduce himself, merely leaning against the side of the basement wall as he watched the power to his suit slowly trickle back up. Lucy was explaining everything, occasionally glancing back to him, but he decided it might be best if he found Edmond and just left, as already, he had gotten into more than he bargained for.
"Harry, right?" As he was addressed, Harry looked to see Mirajane approach him, Lucy only a pace or two behind her. The women was incredibly beautiful, rivaling Lucy's own looks, with her long and flowing white hair and well made red dress, her bangs, strangely enough, were tied up and were held above her forehead, something that Harry can honestly say he's never seen before.
"Yes, thats me, I hope you don't mind the intrusion…" Harry said, looking around the basement while Mira seemed to giggle and Lucy adopting an almost embarrassed look.
"As long as you don't mind the state of the guild right now." Mira joked back. "I just wanted to thank your for saving Lucy, you didn't have to help, and its very appreciated." Harry waved it off.
"Its nothing really, I mean, her and Natsu kinda saved me not too long ago, so its the least I can do." He said, making the two women just smile kindly. "But, if you don't mind, do you two know where Edmond is? The whole reason I came here was to show him the progress with my magic." Harry said, wriggling his armored fingers for emphasis. Although he did not miss their suddenly solemn expressions.
"Thats the thing… this whole war with Phantom Lord was started because of what they did to Edmond. Last night, he and three other members of our guild were ambushed and beaten. They are all at the magnolia general hospital, recovering… I'm sorry." Mirajane answered, a somber tone in her voice as she explained the situation to the armored man. Harry took a moment to proccess the information, before emotion suddenly surfaced. he was doing his best to not get angry when she finished. Angry at himself for not going with him, angry at the guild for letting this happen, and angry at Edmond for going this route in the first place. The logical part of his mind caught up with him though, and he merely sighed as he unclenched his fists, something he did not realize he had done.
"Can you tell me where the hospital is?"
Harry stared in silence as he looked at Edmond's unconscious form. He was in the bed closest to the window, and to Harry's right he could see three others, all with similar injuries to his friend. Harry paid them little mind as he looked at his life-long friend, and only real connection in this world. As much as Lucy was thankful for him helping, he very much hesitated to call her or Natsu a friend. There wasn't much he believed he could do, as much of a grasp as he had on his particular brand of magic, he had yet to test it's full limitations, nor did he believe he was ready to.
He remembered reading that healing magic was apparently a lost magic that no one really knew how to cast normally, only those that had grimoires or some other form of lost magic could even have a chance at using it. He looked at Edmond's bed, and after a brief moment of hesitation, and making sure the nurse wasn't around, he decided to create and enchantment. Something simple, but also something that would prove just how versatile his magic was if it worked. After finishing, he thought for a moment on what to do next.
With Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord at war… and depending on how serious they mean that, they might come after Edmond. Harry surmised, getting ready to sit down and prepare for any sudden hostile intruders. Then he froze as he felt a low rhythmic rumble through the building, and could hear a few of the patients and nurses question what was happening. An earthquake? Damn, I sure hope not. Harry thought, as the rhythmic rumbling became more intense, as he suddenly recognized that the rumbling had a pattern to it. He ran to the window to look out, and what he saw honestly terrified him.
Walking on four large mechanical legs was what could only be described an entire island, and sitting atop it was a castle, with the entire apparatus moving towards magnolia through the large lake next to the city. Then it stopped, as a speaker system seemed to come to life.
"Greetings Fairy Tail, I will make my intentions here clear. Hand over Lucy Heartfilia so we may return her to her father. If you do so, I am willing to postpone this little war for a few hours. I know full well you do not have the capabilities to take on Phantom Lord." A voice spoke out from the massive castle, reaching even the hospital where Harry was, allowing him to hear it's message clearly.
So they brought their entire guild hall here, just to bring the fight to them or something? not to mention the kind of machinery is behind that thing. It looks… remarkably modern? What the hell is this world… Harry thought to himself, before he faintly heard muffled yells coming from Fairy Tail's guild. The rest of the guild must have come back then. And what was that about Lucy, why the hell does her father suddenly want her? Harry considered what might happen next. He had no idea how heated this war would get, but he wouldn't just abandon Edmond.
"So you've made your choice then. Very well! Deploy the Jupiter cannon!" Then to Harry's shock, part of the face of the castle opened up to reveal a massive black metal cannon, a massive ball of dark purple magic forming just past the end of the barrel.
Harry stood there in shock, trying to process what exactly he was seeing. Then he ran out of the hospital to make sure he hadn't finally gone crazy. Upon reaching the outside, he flew up high to get a better vantage point, just in time to see the cannon fire. The beam impacted somewhere just behind the guild, impacting something that seemed to stop it. Harry could only stare in complete shock as the beam did not budge past the initial cliff. Soon enough though, the attack stopped completely, with little to no damage to the area. a few moments passed before the speakers came to life again.
"Well, it appears that you managed to stop Jupiter this time, but will you be able to do it again once the cannon has recharged?" At his declaration, the man speaking was replaced with a robotic female voice.
"Jupiter cannon will recharge in fifteen minutes." Harry's eyes widened, wondering just how such a magical device could recharge so quickly. Harry flew a little closer, but remained firmly to the side, able to see the destruction, and only seeing what looked to be a crater of something being pushed back, a figure on the ground as others looked on at the castle.
"But in the meantime, I have some entertainment for you all." The man's voice came back, as multiple doors on the outside of the castle opened up, allowing what appeared to be specters to float out and fly towards Fairy Tail's guild hall. He had no idea what in the hell those things were, but he managed to spot what looked to be Lucy being quickly carted off further into the city. Harry decided the best thing to do was to go with what was familiar. He soon flew in the direction of where Lucy was going, quickly catching up to what could only be described as a cartoon wagon with a rather portly man at the front. Harry couldn't see Lucy, but he assumed she was under the pilgrim like cloth that covered the cart.
"Hold on Lucy! Theres one above us!" Harry did a double take as he realized that the portly man had spoken, and was referring to him. Then the carriage seemed to double in speed in that moment, leaving Harry in it's literal dust as a cloud formed behind it. He narrowed his eyes as he merely flew higher, but kept the same pace. He stopped, and realized that they must be taking her somewhere safe. He looked behind him to see the ghosts things still assaulting the mages on the ground, and managed to spot Natsu flying up with the aid of Happy to reach the base. Without Lucy or Natsu, the only other person that really knew who he was was Mirajane, and he had literally only talked to her once.
"Damn it…" Harry said to himself. Before he knew it, he was flying towards the fighting, readying the Ethernano beams on his hands. He flew forward quickly, aiming at one of the shades being shot up by two mages using… guns. Harry nearly gawked at the fact there were actual guns in ready availability, and yet swords, scythes, and such were all still used. Harry ignored that line of questioning and shot a beam towards the shade. The ethernano beam exploded upon contact, and much to his shock, the entire thing seemed to lose it's form. It tried to reform, but it quickly faded, like paint thinning in water. It shocked him because of how the magical bullets seemed to only stop it, but his single attack had practically obliterated it. Perhaps its because I utilize pure Ethernano as my attacks? Is it destroying the spell matrix that makes up their forms of something? Fascinating. Harry thought, as he shot another beam, destroying another ghost, as he flew right over the mages fighting.
"The hell was that?" a fairy tail mage suddenly asked, followed by a few other voices joining him. "Is that Phantom Lord?" an older, almost gravely voice asked. "No way! They wouldn't destroy their own shades." a younger woman called out. "Doesn't matter to me, they seem to be on our side." Another older voice said. "Thats Harry! He's the one that saved Lucy earlier!" Harry recognized Mirajane's voice as she called out. He decided to ignore any further shouts, focusing instead on destroying the shades coming from the base, trying to minimalize the numbers that reached the mages. He made a few mistakes, and the shades sometimes managed to strike him, however, their claw-like hands would pass right through his armor, and while it seemed mitigated, it still hurt like hell.
Several minutes passed, each one being announced by Phantom Lord's base that the jupiter cannon was one minute closer to firing. Eventually though, it stopped, when a massive explosion occurred within the base. Harry ripped his eyes away from the fighting to see the section of the castle that housed the jupiter cannon explode, black smoke pouring out of it. Damn… Natsu is a lot more powerful than I originally thought. Harry's internal analyzing was cut short as the sounds of grading stone and machinery met his ears, and he watched with near horrified fascination as Phantom Lord's base began to shift, the entire structure transforming as the rock and land it was on broke away, and the large mechanical legs kept it upright. Arms and legs soon extended from the main structure in a almost transformer-like nature. Then a head piece popped up from it as well, and soon it was standing on it's own two "feet".
"Ok. What the fuck." Harry said to himself, watching in disbelief as the massive base literally grew legs, arms, and a head, and began to wack towards the shore, before his stunned state was interrupted as a shade slashed at his back, phasing through his armor as if it wasn't there. He began to continue his efforts in destroying the shades even as the massive robo-base stopped at the shore and began to draw some form of magic circle mid-air.
"That's abyss break! They'll destroy all of magnolia!" Harry heard Mirajane shout that, and while he was curious how the white-haired woman knew that, he wasn't going to question it right now. Now he had even more incentive to fight. not only for Edmond, and himself, but for all of the innocents in the city. He heard her talk to two other mages about a few things before he heard her call his name directly. "Harry! Could you help us for a second?!" She shouted over the fighting as Harry shot another shade, even as more continued to pour out of the base. He looked down to see her standing there with a pleading look next to two other mages. One was a rather lean built man missing his shirt with some baggy pants, black hair, dark eyes, and a silver chain necklace and cross. Next to both him and Mirajane though was easily the largest man in the whole crowd. With tanned skin, a nasty looking stitched scar running down his right eye, and hair suspiciously the same shade of white as Mirajane's, the rough looking man was looking in the same direction as Mirajane herself and the shirtless man. Specifically, at him. Harry sighed as he reduced the power to his thrusters, allowing himself to descend, nearing the trio, but not landing.
"Is something wrong?" Harry asked, trying his best not to sound like a smartass.
"This thing is going to turn magnolia into a crater, yea, everything's peachy." Harry cringed as the shirtless man made the remark, giving him a glare in the process.
"Gray." Mirajane said with a puff, the man just looking away with a grumble. Harry couldn't necessarily blame the man for being a bit hostile considering everything that's happened to them. Mirajane turned back to Harry with an apologetic look. "I was wondering if you wouldn't mind helping Gray and Elfman get inside their base. We need t-"
"I'm in, and since this abyss break is about to fire, we need to stop it pronto." Harry said, interrupting her explanation. "Gray here said it would destroy magnolia right? Then what are we waiting for?" Mirjane looked at him, a surprised expression on her face, same was with Gray, but 'Elfman' was the first one to speak.
"Straight to the point… MANLY!" Elfman's sudden shout caught Harry off-guard as he unconsciously flinched at the exclamation. Although if Elfman realized, he didn't seem to care. Mira just giggled a bit at his shout, while Gray got over his surprise and settled for a neutral look as he asked a question.
"So… can you fly us there?" Gray asked, to which Harry nodded, before landing fully, and extending both his hands.
"I'm pretty sure I can, just be sure to hang on though." Harry said, as gray and Elfman both grabbed one of his wrists. And Harry set his thrusters to full blast, and while a lot slower than normal, he soon found himself blasting off again. He took the two of them to the only real available entrance, the destroyed housing for the jupiter cannon's source. Harry flew them up and towards the base, quickly getting inside to see the wreckage that Natsu had caused. Once inside, they saw Natsu on the ground clutching his stomach, looking sicker than a dog, while a another man seemed to be preparing to cast a spell at him.
Harry hovered over the offending man, and without provocation, both Gray and Elfman dropped onto him, double dropkicking him to unconsciousness. Harry himself landed gently soon after, observing as Gray seemed to scoff at Natsu's apparent motion sickness due to the moving of the base. Elfman meanwhile was lugging the unconscious phantom lord member to a corner. Harry himself though was much more focused on the massive broken lacrima in the center of the room.
"We always have to show up and clean up your mess, huh?" Gray asked a slowly recovering Natsu, who was picking himself up and sending a glare towards the other wizard.
"I'd like to see you do any better freezer breath." Nastu challenged, which brought Harry's attention to the two, as the mages began to suddenly engage in a sequence of childish insults.
"Don't worry, they do it all the time." A familiar high pitched voice reached Harry's ears, and he looked to his right as Happy floated next to his head.
"Right… so, uh, now what?" Harry asked, looking around the ruined room, and watching his power level slowly rise.
"Now we go search for the other members of Phantom lord and defeat them before abyss break can fire… LIKE MEN!" Elfman's sudden shout once again caused Harry to flinch, but it also seemed to snap Gray and Natsu out of their arguing.
"Right then, not entirely sure how to do that, but I imagine if we find the power source for this whole base, we can shut the whole place down." Harry surmised, with the others nodding in agreement. Gray and Natsu the began to ague on which way to go, but before Harry could attempt to interject, he paused though as Elfman put a mighty hand on his shoulder.
"Thanks again Harry. Don't really know you, but Lucy told us how you saved her. Makes you alright in my book, and the guild's. Especially since you came back to help." Elfman said surprisingly seriously considering his somewhat boisterous nature. Harry was once again thrown for a loop as the man spoke with such genuine appreciation for his actions.
"Saving Lucy was just chance. Me coming back to help?" Harry paused, as the image of his only friend in this world, beaten and battered on a hospital bed, with nothing he could do to help. "This right here… is revenge."
Author's notes:
Again, a lot later than I intended, but I finally released it. Harry has definitely found himself in the thick of things, mostly voluntary now. The next chapter will follow him and the other three going through the phantom lord base, eventually splitting up, and having their own fights. At least, probably. I'm not sure if I will be writing all of these out since there's currently little change in the main source material right now, so I don't know if its even really necessary, or would be very interesting. Let me know what you guys think.
Hopefully, I'll have the next chapter of blades out sooner than the last one, but I'm just not sure. Once I'm done with it, I'll be able to put more energy towards this story. But anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, and as always…
Thanks for reading!
