To xpopo, it's safe to say that Sorina is probably my fav ship and you can expect a whole lot more of them. To the anonymous reviewer, I'm glad that my late night spur of the moment ideas managed to entertain you! Anyways, hope you enjoy reading this next one!

Being worried was not a feeling that Erina was familiar with when it came to a certain redhead. Annoyance, embarrassment, and anger were some of the more common ones, though excitement and joy were quickly making their way up the list as well.

"Hisako?" she called out to her pink haired aide, who was busy checking her phone for any appointments that her mistress had for the day, as they walked side by side through the busy hallways of Totsuki.

"Yes Erina-sama?"

"Have you seen Yukihira-kun anywhere recently?"

A single eyebrow went up in response to the honey blonde's question.

"May I ask why you're looking for him?"

She was then greeted to a sight that she had become increasingly familiar with whenever the redhead in question was in sight or mentioned. The growing redness that bloomed across the resident ice queen's face was quite the sight to see for those who had never caught a glimpse of it before. It was quite cute actually.

"It's just that he hasn't bothered me to taste test anything in a while," she muttered with a pout firmly in place. Hisako had to hold in the urge to take a picture with her phone at that precise moment. Another person didn't have the same restraint.

Erina slowly blinked her eyes for a few seconds before she saw the phone in her face. She moved it to the side with her fingers, just to be greeted with the cheshire cat smile of one Nakiri Alice. Standing to the side fiddling with the red cloth on his wrist was Kurokiba Ryo.

"Ryo-kun! Remind me to print this out later!"

"Yes Alice-ojou," Ryo drawled lazily.

"Alice-sama! Just what do you think you're doing!" Hisako shouted at the snow haired female.

"Mou, Hishoko! I can do whatever I want with my dear cousin!" Alice snootily rebutted to Hisako's irritation.

"You can't just do what you want to Erina-sama! I demand that you delete that picture! And how many times do I have to tell you not to call me Hishoko!"

As the two bickered away, Erina, who was too preoccupied with her current worries, made her way over to Alice's aide.

"Kurokiba-kun," she called out to the dark haired boy once she was close enough. She received a grunt in acknowledgment. "Have you seen Yukihira-kun recently?"

Ryo was silent for a few seconds to let the question sink in before he clapped his hands slothfully together in remembrance.

"Yukihira's at Polar Star. I was gonna challenge him to a Shokugeki the other day but seems like he's sick. The old lady there said something about him pulling four straight all nighters recipe testing."

Erina raised a hand to rub at her temple to calm the sudden bout of irritation she was feeling.

"I can't believe I was worried over nothing," she muttered quietly to herself.

"Oh! What's this I hear? Erina worried over Yukihira-kun? Has spring finally come for my dear cousin?" Not quiet enough it seemed as Alice moved around her cousin, poking her at different places each time, to Erina's growing annoyance and embarrassment.

"Shut up Alice-baka!" she yelled, trying and failing to regain her composure as her cheeks remained as red as a ripe tomato.

"There's nothing wrong with being worried dear cousin. Why don't you go check up on him? This could even be a chance for you to reenact a scene from one of those shoujo manga you love so much!" Alice continued to tease as Erina's cheeks grew unbelievably redder.

"How do you even know about that?!" she questioned before looking towards Hisako accusingly. The pinkette immediately rose her hands defensively as she tried to placate the blonde.

"I didn't tell her anything! I swear!" Hisako managed to squeak out.

"Don't be so hard on Hishoko. She wasn't involved in this at all. I just took a quick peek in your room." Alice said as she raised a hand to her cheek in a classic 'oops' gesture.

"You went into Erina-sama's room!" Hisako shrieked as the two went back to their regularly scheduled bickering. While the two went at it with Ryo watching passively from the side, Erina fell into deep thought herself.

Something in her agreed with what Alice had said. Something in her felt a need to go check up on him even though she knew he would be perfectly fine and back to bothering her soon enough. In spite of that, she decided to listen to that small part of her's for once.

"Kurokiba-kun," she called out once more to the seafood expert. "Please inform Hisako once they're finished that I'm heading to Polar Star and that she can just go home for the day," she continued once the boy's red eyes were on her.

"Sure," he said simply with a raised thumb. Erina immediately left the vicinity as fast as she could, not going unnoticed by the now much calmer duo.

"How much do you want to bet that she's not coming home tonight?" Alice asked Hisako, whom immediately looked scandalized at the question.

"Erina-sama would not partake in such activities!" Alice looked towards Hisako in disbelief before a mischievous glint emerged in her ruby orbs.

"My,my, Hisako," Alice said in a sing-song voice. "I didn't know that your thoughts were so perverse," she finished before breaking out in a fit of giggles as more of Hisako's blood rushed to her face in her embarrassment.

"Yukihira-kun," Erina called as she knocked on the door to room 303. She heard the muffled sounds of footsteps and something crashing down, which was followed with a few colorful choice words, before the door opened to reveal the redhead she was looking for.

Soma leaned on the door frame lethargically, breathing heavily like he had just ran a marathon. Skin pale with his shirt soaked through and clinging to his wiry frame. Eyes bloodshot along with dark circles underneath them. To summarize, he had obviously seen better days.

Despite his condition, he still managed to shoot the blonde standing in front of him a grin.

"Nakiri! What're you doing here?" he managed to rasp out before breaking out into a fit of coughs. He then looked over her for a quick second as a cheeky smile slowly formed on his face.

"You look like a mess! Did you run all the way over here?"

Erina suddenly became extremely self aware of her current state. Soma had hit the nail right on the head when he asked if she had run all the way over here. Her hands immediately went up to her hair and tried to smooth it down as best as she could while the blood flow to her face rapidly increased. She would swear later that it was due to annoyance rather than embarrassment.

"You're not qualified to say that Yukihira-kun. You look infinitely worse than I do," she huffed out as her hair finally decided to cooperate with her efforts.

"Yeah… now's not really a good time but I can cook up something if you want," he offered as he made his way back inside, leaving the door open for Erina to follow through.

His steps were heavy and slow as he had another coughing fit on his way towards his kitchen. A hand softly gripping his shoulder stopped him before he got any further.

"Yukihira-kun," she stated as the redhead turned his head slowly to look at her. "Get back in bed," she ordered with a tone of finality.

"But I've been testing this recipe that you need to taste!" Soma complained before gulping at the look in her eyes.

"Get. Back. In. Bed," she firmly said as she pushed him along to his bed. Not that he had much energy to resist her in the first place even if he wanted to.

Once the redhead was back in bed and Erina had managed to glare him into submission, she headed to the wardrobe in the room and pulled out a clean shirt before bringing it to him.

"Take off your shirt," she said bluntly. Soma raised a scarred brow as he wondered if the girl realized what she had just said.

Deciding that it was in the best interest of his health to acquiesce to what she demanded at the moment, he took off his shirt with some effort. He was then handed the clean one as the other was taken out of his hands.

Erina then left the room for a moment, leaving Soma alone once more. Choosing not to risk angering the blonde again, Soma laid back in his bed and closed his eyes. As he did, his mind wandered to why exactly the Nakiri heiress was doing this, but with the splitting headache he was currently nursing, he didn't linger on it for too long before the Sandman came for him again.

It didn't take long before Erina opened the door and shut it softly once she saw that the redhead was fast asleep. She went over to his side and sat on the empty side of the bed. She reached out a hand to his forehead, only to pull it back in surprise at the heat emanating from it.

She made her way to the tap in the kitchen and let the cloth she had brought back soak in the cold water pouring down on it. She then rung out any excess liquid before going back to Soma's side. She carefully placed the cool cloth on his forehead and watched as he sighed relaxedly in his sleep.

She let out a relieved smile at that before she brought out her phone and shot a text to her ever loyal secretary. She may have known a lot about cooking, but the pinkette was an expert in her chosen field. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait long for a reply.

As soon as that 'ping' chimed from her phone, she opened the message and scanned through it as quick as possible. Nodding her head, she headed back towards the kitchen and started looking through the cupboards to see if the ingredients she needed were there. She counted her lucky stars that they were.

She quickly got to work, making sure not to make any unnecessary noise that would rouse the sleeping boy. Despite her efforts, once the aroma of the dish she was creating started to spread around the room, the redhead woke up anyway.

His eyes blearily looked over towards the sounds of cooking in the kitchen, and there they stayed even as his vision came into focus. Thoughts that wouldn't normally cross his mind started to make themselves known.

Never thought about it before, but Nakiri looks like she belongs in the kitchen. She's beautiful normally, but it seems like being in the kitchen just increases it tenfold.

He then shook his head to get rid of the unexpected thought, only to groan at the pain that shot through his head at the sudden movement.

The sound of his groan caught Erina's attention just as she finished cooking the food. She quickly and carefully put it into a bowl and brought it over to him.

"Are you feeling better?" she asked, eyes scanning his face for any sign of discomfort.

"I will once I eat whatever you just cooked up," he managed to get out as he stared at the bowl in her hand. She let out a small smile at his one track mind about food and handed him the bowl along with some chopsticks.

"I trust that you can feed yourself?"

She got a dismissive wave of a hand in response as the redhead muttered a quick "thanks for the food" before diving into the dish.

She didn't stay to see his response as she headed back to the kitchen, now dry cloth in hand, to prepare something else. She didn't notice Soma's eyes lingering on her as he slurped down the noodles of the chicken noodle soup. His amber orbs then turned back to the dish as he continued eating.

It was delicious. That didn't need to be said. Anything that the God Tongue created was bound to taste exceptional. Soma knew that, but there was something else in the dish that reminded him of when he was much younger. When he had gotten sick and his mom had cooked for him.

The taste was absolutely different, but the warm feeling that the dish invoked in him was a familiar one. One that he didn't quite know what to call. A feeling that he actually found quite pleasant.

Before he knew it, he was left with an empty bowl in hand, feeling much better than he had for the entire day.

"You finished?"

Soma looked up to see Erina holding out a glass filled with a brownish-yellow liquid. He took the glass and let Erina take the empty bowl off his hands.

He took a drink and was immediately hit with the strong flavor of ginger with undercurrents of lime and honey. The warm drink soothed his throat on its way down, that only further amplified the effect of the soup earlier. He could feel himself getting better already.

It wasn't long before he felt his eyes starting to droop again. He placed the now empty cup on the table before making himself comfy on the bed.

When Erina returned, she found herself looking down on the sleeping form of the redhead. She felt a sense of satisfaction and relief when she noticed that he seemed more relaxed than before. It seemed like Hisako's recipe was doing its job.

She sat on the floor besides the bed and just stared at the redhead's peaceful face. Without her realizing it, her hand had somehow found its way onto Soma's red locks. She ran her hand through it absentmindedly as he leaned into her touch.

"You're more trouble than you're worth Yukihira Soma," she whispered fondly, eyes filled with warmth as the boy shifted on the bed.

She then let out a yawn as her eyes started to get heavier, her exhaustion finally catching up to her after taking care of the boy beside her. Deciding that taking a small nap wouldn't be so bad, she laid her head on the bed and drifted off to sleep, content that she had decided to check up on the redhead today.
