Chapter 3 Singularity Orleans: Part 2 Demon and Snake
It was almost dawn and the campfire was out. Medusa was on the last watch. Mashu and Jeanne just woke up and came out of the tent. Mashu looked around and didn't see Vergil around. She approaches Medusa asking where he is. Medusa points in the direction of where he is located. Since everyone was up now the watch can be discontinued. The three walked to the area Vergil was currently at. Along the way they had a small conversation.
"Say, Jeanne, Rider?" Mashu started the small talk.
"Hm?"
"How did you sleep last night?"
"It was quite pleasant, thank you for asking. How about you?" Replied Medusa.
"I slept decently." Replied Jeanne
"It was weird, it was about sempai or something."
"Really? What else happened?"
"Well it was just images, like I was watching a clip or something."
"You sure dream of strange things about the master. " Medusa teasing Mashu.
Medusa looks ahead and sees Vergil training with his sword (SSS taunt Iaido Kata). The next moment Vergil was holding a stance and small demonic power surrounded him.(Bloody Palace EX Provocation 2). Dawn was on the rise Medusa, Mashu and Jeanne could see Vergil's back from a distance and waited. When the sunlight hit Yamato, Vergil perform a destructive slash, then spin sheaths his sword *GIN*. After he sheathed his sword, multiple trees in front of him fell over. The three were impressed by his display of swordsmanship skills. Vergil notices that he has an audience after his morning warm up.
"Sempai, that was a really impressive display of swordsmanship and magecraft." Mashu was amazed.
"I've never seen such concentration and skill. Is this what they will use in the future?" Jeanne asked.
"Something along those lines."
"It is quite beautiful looking at it up close." Medusa admires Yamato.
"Yes it is. I trust you all are well rested and ready to head out." Vergil asked them.
"We can head out shortly after breakfast Senpai."
"Then we'll go with that."
They had breakfast and then set out for the nearest town. It was mid day now and they arrived outside the town Vaucoulers. Looking at it from the outside, there were signs that a battle recently took place there. Before they entered the town Rider acquired some hooded robes to help draw less attention to themselves. They proceeded through the front gate and walked around town. A lot of refugees came here and more are expected to come. They broke off into two groups: Vergil and Mashu were the first team and Jeanne and Medusa made the second group. The both went in different directions and will meet in the middle of town after they have found some information that can lead them to find Jeanne. The middle of town was a very large open area that broke off into multiple directions.
Vergil and Mashu were walking down one of the streets. Mashu noticed that there were not a lot of soldiers in the area.
"Master, does it seem like there are not a lot of soldiers to guard this large town?"
"It could be a number of things: the main force is out dealing with the current situation and this could be all that is left from continuous attacks and no reinforcements."
"But all these people here."
"Even in a situation like this, the country will have to do something about what's going on."
"I see. Then we must hurry to help fix the situation."
"That is why we are here."
They continue to walk the streets searching for any leads. After about an hour and a half the groups met in the center of town. Once they link up they would exchange what information they had. They found a spot and went over their findings.
"The first of our findings is that Jeannes forces have already forced the English out of the country." Mashu explained.
"The king of France has been killed and the rest of the country will not function properly. Reinforcements of any kind will be difficult at this point." Rider going over her findings.
"Towns are now being slaughtered by powerful beings. So we can assume Jeanne has now sent out her servants to cause larger killings." Vergil going over his findings.
"Our situation is much worse than we thought and we seem to be behind." Jeanne commented.
"This will only continue until we can pinpoint her location. Running around aimlessly won't make a difference if we even know where our enemy is located." Vergil commented.
"We should continue to search for more information before we leave." Rider suggested.
"We can continue to gather more information, however it's best to not stay here too long and get caught up in a surprise attack from Jeannes minions." Vergil pointed out.
"Depending on the attack we will be greatly outnumbered and at a disadvantage. In addition the soldiers and civilians will be caught in the crossfire." Rider added.
"There has been resistance, but that has resulted in a one side slaughter unfortunately." Jeanne commented.
"Then we must end this as quickly as we can." Mashu commented.
The group prepared to make one more round before leaving the town, when suddenly the town was attacked.
*Loud Bell noises*
"The wyverns are coming!" French soldiers yelling.
"All soldiers take up arms." Another French soldier yelled. All women and children must hide or they will get burned." Another French soldier yells.
"You have a large number of lifeforms closing fast. You're gonna have to fight your way through if you want to leave town." De Vanchi informed the group.
"They are already here!" Mashu points to the sky."
The large swarm of wyvern circled around the town to make sure none could escape. Another part of the swarm began to attack the town.
The wyvern flew down and attacked everyone in sight.
"Rider, Mashu!"
"Yes!" Both answered
"Looks like our stay in town here will be a little longer. Take them out." Vergil issues his orders.
"As you command." Replied Medusa.
"Beginning combat against wyverns." Mashu replied.
"I'll cover the refugees within the town!" Jeanne replied.
Vergil nodded his head. Everyone had their tasks. Medusa and Mashu remove their hooded robe and engage the wyverns. Civilians running everywhere and soldiers are trying to fight the wyverns.
Medusa Side *Clavar La Espada Bleach OST*
In Medusa's area she was confronted with five wyverns and they had her surrounded. They dove in on her. The first one came from behind, Medusa does a spinning back flip dodging the attack. Two more come from opposite sides and Medusa does aerial cartwheels dodging the two incoming attacks. Medusa jumps at the first wyvern with enough force she pins it to the wall and stabs it in the head. Medusa kicks off the wall and throws the dead wyvern into another wyvern pinning it to the wall, then she stabs that one in the head. Another wyvern dive in to attack, Medusa quickly rolls out the way and does a 180 degree back to front flip (Arabian flip) and lands on to another incoming wyvern and stabs it in the head. Medusa sees the other wyvern, she jumps off the current wyvern, leaving her daggers impaled in, she uses her chain to toss it at the flying wyvern, slamming it to the ground. Medusa lands on the falling wyvern neck, breaking it and then stabs it in the head. Medusa retracts both her daggers. She heads off to confront more.
Mashu Side*Clavar La Espada Bleach OST contines*
The two wyverns on Mashu's side are attacking her aggressively. They were continuously diving in to attack. Mashu ran the opposite direction to put some distance between her and the wyverns. They continue to pursue her. Now that Mashu has them where she wants them, she changes direction to the two wyverns. Mashu leaps into the air above the wyverns, then dives down with her shield, crashing both into the ground. Mashu gets up and takes one side of her shield and smashes it into the wyvern skull, crushing it. The other wyvern gets up and continues to attack Mashu. She blocks its bite attacks with her shield. They wyvern jumps backwards to get airborne and flies towards Mashu. The wyvern growls at her. Mashu grips her shield tight and ready herself. They both collado with each other. Mashu pushes it forward creating enough space for her to swing her shield upwards, smacking the wyvern's head. Mashu give the wyverns a powerful shield bash, sending it flying backwards into the wall. She then charges forward, jumps into the air, rotates her in 360 degree and throws her shield with two hands. The shield spinning like a shuriken land in the neck area, decapitated the wyvern's head. Mashu grabs her shield and continues to confront more wyverns.
Vergil Side *Lets Just See OST*
Vergil left his hooded robe on. Medusa and Mashu just took off and engaged the wyverns. Two wyverns come diving in at Vergil, he uses his Trick Dodge to evade their attack. The two circle around to make another pass and dive toward Vergil. Vergil does an upward slash that cuts the first wyvern clean in half down the middle. The next wyvern comes flying in and does a downward slash splitting it in two.
*Badass*
Five more wyverns come flying towards him in a staggered line.
Vergil Rapidly Slash through them
"Too late." and throws his sword in the sheath. Vergil notices a young boy with a sword protecting a scared young girl from a wyvern attacking them. Vergil knew this boy stood no chance, yet he still faced the wyvern bravely. The boy was also scared but he knew what was at stake. They wyvern attempt to attack, the boy dodged and tried to attack. They wyvern was just toying with the boy at this point. Watching this somewhat reminded Vergil of when he was attacked by the demons when he was a child. Reminded of an unpleasant memory, Vergil launches several quick overdrives at the wyvern taking out its arms and legs. The boy using that opening slays the wyvern. After slaying the wyvern the boy looked to see who was out there but only saw a man in a hooded robe walking away. Vergil looked around the area and saw people scared in the street. He looked to the sky and saw a number of wyvern still there.
"Rider! Mashu! To me!"
Jeanne side
The town people were scared, soldiers are doing what they can to calm them down and escort them.
"This is our just reward for abandoning Saint Jeanne. We did this to her. Now she has come back to eradicate France!" a Frenchman continuously yelled in the streets. The man's words only brought more fear and panic to the people. As the man continued to yell, a Frenchwoman walked up and slapped the shit of the man yelling.
"I don't know who you are but she is not that kind of girl. She would never even think of doing such a thing!" The Frenchwoman yelled at him.
"Bitch! Who the hell-" before he could even finish a wyvern swoops the Frenchman up who is screaming and grips his head off then rips his body in half. Blood and guts went everywhere. The Frenchwoman is now covered in blood and the wyvern moves in her. The next moment a figure dashed past the Frenchwoman and obliterated the wyvern with her rolled up flag.
"It's not safe to be outside. You should go inside." Jeanne kept her face hidden.
"Your Janet?" Jeanne's Mother recognized her.
"It's good to see you are well, Mother." Then Jeanne takes off.
Jeanne returns to the area where Vergil and the others were. When she arrived she watched an interesting moment of Vergil helping a little boy fight off the wyvern and letting him finish it off. The boy looked for Vergil but couldn't find him. He wanted to thank him because it was too dangerous to wander out.
"It's not safe for two to be out here, you must leave this area." Jeanne talking to the children.
"But I wanted to thank the man that saved us." The boy explained.
"I'll tell him for you, run along now."
"Okay." The boy takes the scared girl and takes off.
Jeanne looked at Vergil as he was walking back to battle and called his servants to him.
"I was right about him." Jeanne smiled.
Back in the middle of town
Vergil just explained their next attack to Medusa and Mashu.
"Master, are you sure this will work?" Mashu was a little worried.
"It will work, trust me." Vergil replied.
"I trust you Master." Medusa answered.
"Rider-san?"
"If it's Master, then it will be alright." Medusa replied. Mashu looks at Medusa.
"Alright. If Rider believes in, Master, then I will too."
"Rider your up."
Medusa takes off and runs up alongside a wall. She jumps off and throws her daggers onto a wyvern and pulls herself toward it. Medusa mounts the wyvern. The wyvern not being compliant, Medusa punched it in the head pretty hard and it became compliant afterwards. She flies towards the other wyverns that are in the air. Medusa forces the wyvern to shoot multiple fireballs in different directions, hitting some of the wyverns. The other wyverns in the sky turn their attention to Medusa and begin to chase her. Medusa makes her decent.
On the ground, Vergil and Mashu were watching Medusa and as she made her descent.
"Mashu, you're up."
"Yes!"
Mashu took a few steps forward and closed her eyes. She began to chant her Noble Phantasm. Medusa has reached ground level and is flying towards Vergil and Mashu. The wyverns were closing in on Medusa. Mashu is now glowing blue. Vergil walks past Mashu and Yamato begins to glow blue and crackle with power.
"Lord Camelot!" Mashu deploying her Noble Phantasm.
Mashu manifested her Noble Phantasm to cover the refugee on the side in addition it narrowed down the path wyverns were flying in. The same time Medusa hoops off her mount and lands near Mashu.
"This is the end." Vergil removes his hooded robe and disappears. Medusa, Mashu and Jeanne watched as they saw nothing but blue blur images and dark spheres (Judgment Cut) bouncing off Mashu's Noble Phantasm and destroying the remaining wyverns. Medusa and Jeanne move to where Mashu was. Vergil reappears in front of them, slash his sword, then brings it up shoulder level and sheaths his sword.(DMC3 JCE version) Vergil begins to walk towards them.
*Smokin Sexy Style*
"We should leave before they start asking us questions." As he raises his hand grabs his hooded robe and puts it back on. The young boy Vergil saved earlier appeared out of hiding and was amazed at what he saw. The group walked out the gate and into the open field next to a forest.
Vergil and his group are now at safe distance from Vaucoulers.
"I hope they stay there too long. I don't think that place will hold up much longer." Mashu being concerned.
"I'm sure they will come up with something." Jeanne
"We should prepare to make camp in the forest before night comes." Medusa mentioned.
"Camp is going to have to wait. Look over there." Vergil points ahead of them.
There was a trail of spikes that stretched and curved ahead of them and it looks like it was meant to barricade part of the area off.
"I got a bad feeling about this." Concerned Mashu.
The next moment 4 servants appeared and surrounded Vergil and his team. Berserker Assassin Carmila, Berserker Rider Martha, Berserker Lancer Vlad III and Assassin Phantom of the Opera.
"They have us surrounded." Medusa comments
"Tsk. This is the worst time to encounter her servants." Vergil replied.
"These servants are not push over. This will be a difficult fight to pull through." Olga points out.
"You're not servants summoned by our master. So you're either Rogue servants or the ones who come to fix the singularity." Vlad III
"Doesn't matter to me as long as I can bathe in those girls' blood." Carmilla added to it.
"..." Martha
"..." Phantom
"Let's bathe in their blood. Berserker Lancer Vlad III will impale you." Vlad pulls out his lance.
"Berserker Assassin Carmillia, I will enjoy bathing in girls blood."
"Berserker Assassin Phantom of the Opera."
"Berserker Rider Martha. Hello and farewell."
"Hmm. This might be fun." Vergil replied
"Oh, what are you doing, you need to get out of there!" Olga yelling through the microphone.
"That's not much of an option right now. If we try to run, they will surely slaughter us. Better come up with something quick, we are about to enter combat." Vergil prepared himself.
Phantom moved in on Vergil first. He extended his clawed hand when a sudden chain wrapped around his wrist and hurled him off in a different direction.
"I'll deal with him." Medusa declares and takes off.
Martha fires her energy projectile next. Mashu and Jeanne step in.
"We'll take her on." Mashu declared.
"Hmm, I wonder if you can with that level of power." Martha wondered.
Vergil vs Vlad III and Carmilla
That's just leave Vlad III and Carmillia. Carmilla fires off a few projectiles while Vlad charges at Vergil. Vergil manages to deflect them back at Vlad who stops and blocks the projectiles. The smoke barely cleared up and Vergil closed in on Vlad.
"He's fast!"
Vergil punch Vlad in the face while still holding Yamanto, then back handed him, draws Yamato out and cuts him across the chest, but it wasn't deep enough. Vlad jumps back and Carmilla fired off more projectiles. Vergil deflects them with finesse towards Vlad who blocks then again. Vergil now closes in Carmilla. He swings his sword at her, Carmilla blocks it with his staff-like weapon but struggles to hold off Vergil's immense strength. Vlad comes in to attack Vergil from behind, Vergil dodges out the way and takes them both on at the same time.
Medusa vs Phantom
Medusa just tosses Phantom to the ground then retracts her chain. Phantom comes charging in strike with his claws. Medusa blocks his strikes and counters with a hard knee to the gut that pushes him back a bit. Phantom adjusted his speed, moving faster now. Medusa, having no issues, dashes to Phantom. They both moved at incredible speed, each time the attack pushed each other back. Phantom with a burst of speed goes for another strike to Medusa's head but she blocks it this time. Phantom kicked Medusa in the gut sending her flying back but Medusa threw her chain daggers that caught his arms. She pulls herself forward and hits Phantom with a dropkick to the face. Phantom getting irritated uses a Hypnotic Charm on Medusa that disoriented her for a second which was all he needed to strike her face. After getting hit, Medusa drops down and low kicks Phantom that sweeps him off feet. Left wide open Medusa delivers a powerful kick sending Phantom flying to the ground. Medusa, still feeling disoriented, tries to shake off the charm.
Mashu and Jeanne doing what they can against Martha. Martha fired off mana projectiles, Mashu would block them, while Jeanne would move in at attack. Jeanne would attack but would be countered by Martha at close quarters making it difficult. Both Mashu and Jeanne would charge in for a 2 on 1 but even that was not enough. Jeanne was still fighting as a Rogue servant without a master. Martha had a disappointed expression on her face. A battered Phantom appears next to Martha and at the same time Medusa regroups with Mashu and Jeanne. Medusa was breathing a little heavy but nothing to be concerned about for now.
"Rider, are you alright? You don't look too good?" Mashu is genuinely concerned.
"I'm fine. Let's focus on the threat in front of us."
Vergil appeared in front of them while still facing the enemy. He took a quick glance at them then faced forward. Vergil knew that if this fight continued on, they would be at a disadvantage even with the numbers being even. Rider is a bit disoriented from an attack from Berserker Assassin Phantom. Mashu and Jeanne are struggling with Berserker Rider Martha. Vergil prepared to fight all four if it meant they all got out intact. Then suddenly a glass chariot appeared out of nowhere and launched into the air.
"Master! Over there!" Mashu points out.
The chariot launched some magic that stunned the enemy servants and lands near them.
"Get in!" Kiyohime shouts out.
Mashu and Jeanne hoop inside. Medusa and Vergil went on the roof. Martha and Carmilla were starting to move their hands, fired off a mana projectile. Vergil cut through it with a Judgment Cut. *JC SFX* Medusa throws some large trees at them, forcing them to move and lose sight of the direction they went.
After getting enough distance from the enemy servants, the chariot stops inside of a forest. Everyone discounts the chariot. Rider Maria was the first to exit, then Caster Mozart, Lancer Elizabeth and then Berserker Kiyohime. Jeanne and Mashu were the next to exit.
"Wow, what lovely weather we are having today. In addition, rescue more servants." Maria being cheerful.
"We thank you for helping us out there. Who are you guys anyway?"
"What a lovely girl you are. I'm Maria Antoinette, and my class is Rider."
"Seriously Maria, are you even gonna try to hide your True Name?"
"Well, we are going to be working together to battle the other Jeanne, may as well get that out the way. Besides, introductions are important. Hehe." Maria smiled at Mozard.
"*Sign* Well if that's how we are doing this. Caster Wolfgang Mozart, looking forward to working with you all."
"I'm an Idol, Elizabeth Bathory and my class is Lancer."
"They call me Kiyohime and my class Berserker."
"Now that we have introduced ourselves, who might you travelers be, clearly you're not from around here."
"I'm Ruler, Jeanne D'arc." She replied.
"Demi-Servant Mash Kyrielight."
Olga appeared on the screen from Mashu wrist communicator and made the introduction and explained their situation. Around that same time Vergil and Medusa made it to the group and he removed his hood from his head. Mashu briefs him on the servants and who they were in history.
"We greatly appreciate your help earlier. Servant Rider, Medusa."
"Pleasure to meet you all. Your assistance was greatly appreciated." Vergil thanked them.
"Oh my, what a handsome man he is. Oh another Rider" Marie's eyes light up.
"Could he also be an idol like me?" Commented Elizabeth.
"Oh my, a handsome devil." Kiyome is admiring.
"Hmm, looks like a lady killer if you ask me. A high caliber one at that." Mozart replied.
"Mozart!"
"What? If looks could kill he definitely fits the bill haha."
After the introduction was made, they began to discuss what their next move should be. They agreed on a few things and that they need more allies to make up their strength and number. Mozart and Marie were not suited for combat, Mashu strength was not quite strong enough which left Medusa, Elizabeth and Kiyohime. The other was that they needed to find out her location and hit her with everything they got. They also discuss the possibility that there are other servants summoned to the singularity and they must find them before the Dragon Witch gets to them.
Nighttime comes and they set up camp. Mozart and his group decided they would take watch for the night and left Vergil and his group rest for tonight. Mashu and Medusa were in their tents. Medusa, still feeling the after effects from her battle with Phantom hides her condition as best she could from everyone, it has succeeded so far. In the meantime. Olga just debriefed Vergil about the four Servants he encountered before going offline. Vergil now stands under the stars pondering and planning the next move, until he receives an unexpected visit from Jeanne.
"Another sleepless night?" Jean asked.
"Yes. Today's events showed me where we stand in this battle to restore the singularity."
"I felt the same way too. After battling the other servant, I realize I may not be strong enough to free France from the Dragon Witch or even face her for that matter. So I've come up with one option."
"What option might that be?"
"I want you to be my master." Jeanne suggested. Vergil opens his eyes and turns to face Jeanne.
"Go on."
"I've seen how powerful Medusa and Mashu are. By having the power of a Master, we can increase our fighting power. Also I saw that."
"What are you referring to?"
"I saw you help that little boy back in town. I was right about you, hehe."
"I have no recollection of that." he turns arounds and attempts to walk off, but she steps in front of him.
"Oh, is that so? I'm sure Mashu and even Medusa would love to hear more about their Master's good deed ufufuf."
"Tsk. So you saw that? Well that wyvern was in my way. That's all."
"Really? That's fine then."
"You are correct about one thing. We do need to increase our combat power. Adding yours will be of great help to future battles."
Vergil raised his hand with the command seals and began the chant for the contract. Jeanne began to glow.
"I Jeanne D'rc, Ruler accepted your oath and you as my Master. So is the power Medusa and Mashu wield. You have quite the magic circuit."
"I would say it's different from what you call a magic circuit."
" Well, I won't sweat the small details."
Mashu makes her way to Vergil and Jeanne.
"Senpai. Oh, you formed a contract with Jeanne. So this is a Ruler's power. Congratulations to the both of you." Mashu smiled.
"Thank you, Mashu. Master, once again, I look forward to working with you. I'll be in your care." Jeanne gave a small bow.
"I look forward to working with you as well." Vergil replied.
"Oh, Senpai." Mashu walks over to Vergil and whispers something in his ear.
"Is that so?" Looking at Mashu, she gave him a nod with her head.
"Jeanne, I'll have to end our talk for tonight. Another matter has come up. I bid you goodnight."
"Good night Master."
Vergil walks off and heads to the tents. He reaches the tent but not his own. The next moment Vergil is pull inside the tent. Kiyohime and Elizabeth just so happen to walk by and notice some commotion. Inside the tent Vergil toss to the ground and Medusa mounts on top of him.

"You sure took your time getting over here." Medusa leaning in. (Eyes are closed)
"Oh, I wasn't aware it was that urgent. Hm, what's wrong with you? You seem to be a little out of breath and shaking. You even took your viser off."
"Fufufu. So you finally realize it. I've been trying to keep my composure, but it's starting to fail now. That Assassin Servant seems to have a nasty charm up his sleeve. Don't worry, I can keep my eyes closed for now."
"How long will the effects last?"
"Hopefully it should wear off by morning. You'll have to make sure I don't run off and do something foolish. Fufuf." She leans in face to face.
"Good grief, I really don't mind the position we are in right now. I rather the conditions were a little more natural. So how much of this is the charm talking or is this yourself talking."
"Hmm, I wonder about that. Hehe. Yes I do agree with you on the condition. You'll just have to think of this as a preview of things to come." As she caress his hair backwards.
"Hmph. Nothing wrong with something like this once in a while." As he placed one hand on the side of Medusa faced and she leaned into and grabbed that hand.
"I don't have any experience in this area, but if it's you I don't mind. Nothing is off limits for you. Fufuf." Medusa whispers in Vergil's ear and opens her eyes just enough to reveal part of her rectangular pupil. Vergil raised an eyebrow and was a bit surprised about that information.
Outside the tent
Kiyohime and Elizabeth are near the outside of the tent listening in, then Marie walks to them.
"What are you two doing?" Maria asks them.
"Shhh! They will hear us. Come over here." Kiyome whispers and waves Marie over.
"Oh my." Maria lowered her voice and moved to their position.
"The Master and Medusa are in the tent. Something good may happen here."
"Eh? What do you mean something good may happen here?" Elizabeth is curious.
"What! You don't know about that?" Kiyome in shock. Jeanne and Mashu come over to see what's going on.
"Hey what's this huddle all about?" Mashu asked.
"The Master and Medusa are in the same tent together." Kiyome informed them.
"Eh? What do you mean they are in the same tent?" Mashu sounded confused.
"I don't understand." Jeanne whispered.
"Mashu and Jeanne, you poor things. You don't know what it means when a man and woman get together like this?" Maria asked. Then she whispers in Mashu and Jeanne's ear to tell them the meaning. Kiyome tells Elizabeth. The three of their faces turn red and steam pops out of their heads.
"H-h-h how shameless. We are in the middle of a crisis here." Jeanne in shock and blushing.
"I-I-I never knew Senpai and Medusa had that kind of relationship. I can't let Senpai go down the wrong path." Mashu Blushing as well. Elizabeth fainted after hearing about it.
"Ah, it's so romantic isn't it." Maria is cheerful."
Inside the tent
Vergil and Medusa continue their talk inside the tent.
"By the way, your battle with the wyverns and Servant today was spectacular. I hope to see more in the future." Vergil commented.
"Glad to hear that you enjoy it, wait till you see me at full power. I think how you handled the remaining wyvern was even more spectacular. *Exhales* and leans in by Vergil's ear.
"It was so breath ." Medusa whispered in his ear. Vergil pulls her head closer.
"You will soon come to know this devil's power." whisper in her ear and gave it a little bit.
"Kyaa!" Medusa lets out a weird noise covering her mouth and gives Vergil a light slap on the chest.
*Smokin*
Medusa sits up while still mounted on Vergil. Eyes still closed she senses her surroundings and then leans back.
"Vergil, we seem to have a small audience."
"Indeed we do. I have an idea on how to handle them."
"Ara, would you care to share?"
Outside the tent
The others are still trying to listen in.
"What's going on, what's happening inside?" Mashu asked.
"I don't know if it's too quiet all of a sudden." Kiyome commented.
The next moment they see Vergil and Medusa running out the tent at high speed.
"They're trying to run after them!" Kiyome shootout and the group take off after them. Vergil peeks out the tent and was surprised they fell for a simple trick.
"That is a clever little trick there." Medsa commented.
"Things like this, come in handy."
Morning had come. Vergil was already up and finished his morning training. Kiyome had just finished making breakfast for everyone. Vergil noticed she had dark circles under her eyes from being up all night. Jeanne, Mashu and the rest of the group were in the group as well. They also had dark circles under their eyes. Kiyome said they were out looking for someone(Vergil and Medusa) but couldn't find them. Medusa was still in her tent. After breakfast they went over their plan for the day. After they began to make preparations to move out.
"Senpai! come quick, it's Medusa, something is wrong."
They head over to her tent and see purple sparks circle the tent. Vergil concluded that whatever Assassin did yesterday, was not a simple charm attack. Vergil and Mashu head inside the tent. Medusa appears to be tormented by something while sleeping.
"Hehehe. Don't fight it" ? Laughing voice inside Medusa's head.
They call Jeanne over to help Medusa and they were able to calm her down but she still wouldn't wake up. Olga, having heard about the situation, informs them that it is more of a cure that looks like a charm. As for how to break it, someone must enter her inner world and help her overcome the curse. There is no telling what will happen when they enter the inner world. Vergil decides he will enter and help break the curse. Olga also informs them that it's more effective to enter the inner world at night. Vergil and the rest of the group waited for nightfall to come.
The sun had just gone down and the preparations were ready and then Jeanne servant appeared for a surprise attack. The same four Servants appeared this time. Vlald and Carmilla appeared on one side and Martha and Phantom appeared on a different side. Kiyome, Elizabeth and Mozart took on Vlad and Carmilla. Mashu, Jeanne and Maria took on Martha and Phantom. There was a standoff before the fight started.
"It was quite troublesome trying to find you all. Your reward shall be a slow and painful death." Vlad commented.
"Good evening Saint Jeanne. I see you finally found a Master and improved your power." Martha commented to Jeanne.
"It would be like last time." Jeanne replied.
"I don't see that other Servant, looks like the charm is doing it's part. Hehe."
"So you're the one responsible for her condition!" Mashu yelled at Phantom. All he did was laugh and mock Medusa.
"Enough talk, prepare for combat!" Martha declares.
"Master, preparing to engage enemy Servants. Your orders." Mashu facing them. She didn't hear anything from Vergil.
"Master your-" Mashu turned her head and saw why no orders were issued. Vergil was watching a familiar figure walking to the fight.
"Medusa, you're alright." Mashu began to walk towards her and extended her hand but Vergil stopped her.
"Mashu! stop!"
"Master?"
"Something is off."
"Stay back." As he moved her out of Medusa's(?) way, she was now glowing purple, with mana crackling around her. Medusa's head was facing the ground while walking until she was on the battlefield.
Medusa lifted her head and revealed a different set of eyes. The eyes that appeared were more monster eyes than her Cybele ones.
Medusa? vs Martha and Phantom
*Yusuke Power Theme OST*
Medusa(?) clenched her fists and purple crackling mana lifted her hair straight up. Medusa charges at Martha first, who welcomes the challenge at close quarters. Martha swings her staff at Medusa. Medusa stops the swing and does a backflip kick that hits Martha under the chin lifting her up off the ground for a second. Medusa then delivers a hard sidekick to send Martha flying into a tree. Medusa turns her attention to Phantom who has begun to charge towards her. Medusa, using her insane speed, dashes forward and delivers a destructive punch to Phantom in the face, sending him to the ground leaving a trail. Purple lightning went past Phantom who was still trailing on through the ground, Medusa(?) appeared ahead of Phantom and cock her leg back delivered a powerful kick sending Phantom trailing back the other direction facing up this time. Medusa, running like lightning, jumps and lands on Phantom's chest. She continues to violently bounce up and down stomping his chest with a sadistic grin. Phantom is now spitting up blood from his mouth. Medusa picks up Phantom by the collar, her fist cracking purple mana and unleashing a fury of punches on him.
The punches were so hard and fast Phantom's collar ripened and was sent flying backwards. Medusa, running like lightning, catches up and delivers a powerful roundhouse kick. Phantom was able to block but the force sent him flying back into another tree. Medusa catches up to him, grabs his arms and spins in a circle a few times and throws him in the air. Medusa catches up to Phantom, grabs his head and headbutts him continuously until they land on the ground. Medusa stomps his chest again, then mounts him and delivers a barrage of punches to the upper body, purple mana discharging like lightning. Medusa (?) standing over the lifeless Phantom. Martha attacks Medusa with her staff again but she catches it again and tosses Martha into a tree. Martha drops her staff and pops her knuckles and punches Medusa in the face but doesn't phase her. Medusa(?) returns with her own punch to Martha's face. They exchange blows, until Martha shoulder tosses Medusa to the ground. Martha moves towards Medusa, but she delivers a hard kick to the head, gets up and hip throws Martha to the ground and delivers a hard punch to her gut. Martha spits up blood.
Vergil and Mashu
"Master, should we assist Medusa?" Looking at Vergil.
"That would be unwise right now."
"Then what should we do?"
"Prepare to give Medusa medical treatment." Vergil is still watching the battle. He witnessed Medusa get slashed and stabbed in the back by another Servant of Jeannes. It began to lightly rain.
"Oh no, it's another Servant. Master your orders?" Mashu turned and Vergil was gone.
Back at Medusa(?) Side
Saber Chevalier d' Eon had ambushed Medusa (?) from behind. She was slowly losing consciousness.
"Saber Chevalier d' Eon. No, elegance at all in you. Your wild monster of a Servant and should be put down." Chevalier brings his sword down to deliver a killing blow to Medusa (?)

Vergil vs Chevalier d' Eon
*Clang* Vergil deflects the strike while appearing in front of Medusa(?). The monster's eyes watch the action of the man in blue. Their eyes made contact with each other before the eyelids closed falling back to sleep. The other Servants stop and wonder why a human is fighting a Servant. Such a thing is suicide.
"So you want to challenge me? Fine I'm game." Chevalier had a grin,
"You think you stand a chance?" Vergil had an expressionless face.
The two dashed towards each other and their swords collided. Cling Clash* Cling*They continue dashing around the battle exchanging blows. Chevalier goes on the offense with thrusts and slashes. Vergil blocks and dodges he attacks. Chevalier, believing he has the upper hand continues his attack.
"Not bad for a human, your doing much better than that thing of a Servant on the gro-" Cling* Clash* Cling*intensified. Vergil cuts his face and shoulder. Chevalier was starting to struggle with Vergil.
"What's going on here?" Vergil had increased his speed and power, pushing Chevalier back.
"Tsk, don't underestimate me!" Chevalier shouting at Vergil.
The two began clashing swords again; both were in a deadlock, at least that's what it looked like. Clash*Clang*Clash*. Chevalier was falling behind, Vergil recognized him slowing down and made his move. Still clashing swords, Vergil smacks Chevalier sword out of his hand and it spins up into the air. Chevalier took his eyes off Vergil for a moment which will cost him. Vergil cock his sword back, Yamato is glowing dark blue and thrust his sword through Chevalier's chest. He pulls it out and slashes away, Summon Swords pointed around Chevalier. After one last slash, Vergil turns around, spin sheaths most of his sword.
"Rest in Peace." (UMVC3 Dark Angel Ult) *GNK*The swords impale Chevalier like a pin cushion. Chevalier sword lands next to him. The rain slowly begins to stop.
"Damn, how humiliating, Hehe. Losing to a human." As he falls to the ground.
"Hmph. Be gone." Vergil dusks himself and pushes his hair back then heads to where Mashu and Medusa(?) were.
Vergil reached them and asked Mashu about her condition.
Mashu tells him she is in no danger now, but she falls back to sleep and nothing seems to wake her up. Before Vergil could think of anything a large shadow overlapped them. They look up and see a large and strange creature about to crush them. Vergil and Mashu prepare to fight, then Jeanne jumps in to deliver a powerful strike smacking the creature back. The creature lands behind Martha. Maria joins Vergil Mashu and Jeanne. Olga tells them that it is Tarasquse, the dragons she subdues with only her prayers. Vergil looked at Martha and then the dragon and found it hard to believe that such a thing happened. Vergil gave his commands: Maria will support, while Mashu and Jeanne engage Martha and be cautious of the dragon. Maria shoots off a mana projectile at the dragon while Mashu and Jeanne attack Martha. Marth just stood there looking defenseless. The attack Maria shots were negated and the dragon swung its massive arm with incredible speed for its size. Mashu struggled to defend against the incredibly heavy. Jeanne then advises them to adjust their approach.
Martha, not wanting to waste any more time or energy on them, begins to chant her Noble Phantasm and raises her hand. The next moment Tarasque jumps high in the sky, spinning at unimaginable speed. He looks like a giant star preparing to come down. Mashu positioned her in front of everyone and prepared to unleash her Noble Phantasm. Matha lowered her hand and Tarasquse came soaring down like a meteorite. Mashu unleashes her Noble Phantasm and holds off Tarasque. She struggled to hold off the attack. The sheer force was cutting up her body, but stood strong. Mashu then began to feel empowered, she wondered where such power was coming from. She turns around to see Vergil's arm extended, giving her some power to hold off the attack. Jeanne joins Mashu and unleashes her Noble Phantasm. There was a bright light that flash and in that moment Jeanne pieces Martha in the chest with her flag. Martha did bother fighting back. She was content that Jeanne defeated her and hopes she will be able to stop the Dragon witch. She also informed them that all of the Dragon witch servants are powered up with Madness Enhancement. After exchanging some words Martha disappeared.
The other servants retreated and Vergil and the servants assembled on him. Mashu was quite exhausted from her fight against Martha. Vergil decides its best to move out while they can. Vergil asked Olga directions to the nearest town. After a few minutes she gave him some coordinates. Maria summoned her chariot and loaded up. Vergil carried Medusa inside and was the last one in. They take off to their next destination. During the trip there Vergil informed them they must lift the curse Phantom put on Medusa before they move on and that everyone's servants' power will be needed. They stop a few miles from the nearest town and set up camp. Preparations are complete to enter the Dreamworld.
"Senpai, we won't be able to communicate once you enter. Please be careful while you are there." Mashu expressed her concerns.
"Don't worry, I'll bring her back." Vergil reassured her.
"Are you sure you want to go in there? There is no telling what kind of Nightmare you both could be caught up in." Mozart expressed his concerns.
"There is no time for doubts. I know what must be done." Vergil replied while looking at Medusa.
"Such a brave Master rescuing his servant." Maria being cheerful.
"This master is certainly fearless." Kiyohime comment.
"Make sure you come back with her. I won't forgive you if you die there." Olga expresses her concerns.
"I'll keep that in mind while I'm there." Vergil replied.
Vergil layed down and positioned himself opposite to Medusa. Both of their heads now touching, he proceeded to sleep.
Vergil's Dream
Vergil now enters the dreamworld. Images of many people persecute Medusa and her sister. The goddess who was once loved by many, but they are now hated by many. The dream took him to an island where the Gorgon sister lived, far away from humans.
"After what happened on land, why would anyone want to come to this island?" Vergil wondered.
The answer was simple, the humans or so called heroes seek the glory to slay Medusa and her sister because they were labeled monsters. People were always hunting them. Vergil walked over to an open area and saw many statues of people turned to stone. He also saw two sisters just walking along doing what they pleased. In another area Medusa is fighting off heroes.
The dream moves forward and shows the sister warning Medusa not to get carried away drinking human blood and to simply turn them to stone. The dream fast forward shows the statues' crush and a bloody mess everywhere. It shows the sisters walking into a cave where no light can be found. Vergil simply follows behind at a good distance. Then the next moment, as if someone or something stopped a video, the dream just froze and began to melt away as if to prevent him from seeing something.
Vergil was now inside a large temple of some kind and there were little to no lights in the area. There was a noise suddenly making its way towards Vergil.
"Who dares enter my temple?" loud voice shouts
Vergil turned around and there was a large snake-like woman in front of him. The creature before him looked like Medusa, but she had reptilian snake like arms and legs, her hair was a darker purple with black and red snake heads in some parts, her clothes look like a expensive lingerie covering the parts of her side, chest and lower area and long dark purple strings hanging around the shoulders and below her waist and a long cloth in front and behind her. Vergil was standing in front of Gorgon (2nd Ascension).
"Medusa?" Vergil questioned the woman.
"Do not speak my name so casually human! This is my domain now. Answer me! how did you get in here?"
"I've come here to take you back and lift that curse?" Vergil.
The next moment Gorgon let out a loud primal roar that shook the whole area. The sounds from the roar created strong winds. Vergil covered his ears. The next moment a portal opens up behind Vergil and his Sin Devil Doppelganger grabs him and pulls him through the portal.
"You cannot run from me. I will find you human." Gorgon follows through the portal and then it closes behind her.
Medusa's Dream
Medusa, who was trapped in her nightmare was suddenly moved to a different location and found herself somewhere she was not familiar(Demon World). She saw Vergil a bloody mess, impaled all over his body, Yamato was broken and strung up in front of a very large being (Mundas). Mundas continued to torture and mock Vergil and then transformed him into Nelo Angelo. The nightmare then fast forwards to a city this time. Then a man in a rob (Vergil in his weakan state after being free of Mundas control) passes behind her heading somewhere. Medusa looks over her shoulder and sees the hood man heading into a garage. She begins to walk over when suddenly she hears a loud crash. When she makes it inside she sees one man's arm ripped clean off with blood shooting out of it. She looks to her side and sees the hooded man holding a demonic hand that belongs to the other man with a missing arm. "I'm taking this back." said the hooded man. The next moment the arm turned into a sword that she recognized very well and understood who it was now. The man opened a portal and went through it and Medusa followed.
When she came through the other side of the portal, she recognized where she was at. She looks forward and sees the weakened Vergil walking slowly towards the house. Medusa begins to walk towards the house, however something unexpected happens. A forcefield of some kind blocks her from moving forward. The next moment the dream just stops like someone pausing a movie. There was a large crack then the area just shattered like glass. The surrounding area had very little to no light now. Medusa looked around and couldn't see much of anything in the area.
*Demon's Throne-DMC5 OST Cue*
The area brightens up and a tall dark figure appears sitting in a throne behind Medusa. The figure sat with its head leaning on his fist in the shadows. There was a large blue pillar of light being emitted from behind the throne and blue energy being drawn into it. Medusa could not clearly see who or what was sitting there. All she could see were green demonic eyes staring back at her.
"Who are you? Are you Vergil?" she called out to figure sitting on the throne.
"I am without a name. I am Power, absolute. Tell me child, why have you come here?" Urizen replied.
"I'm not sure how I got here myself. One moment I was trap in an endless nightmare and suddenly I am here."
*Glaring at her* "Is that so? It seems like you're not alone." Urizen replied.
"What are you talking about?" Medusa continued to asked.
"Not just you, there is another that dwells inside of you. A strong one." Urizen replied
"What are you… you can't possibly mean…" Medusa suddenly stopped.
Then suddenly there was a large sound like a heart *Ba*Dump*. Medusa suddenly fell to her knees. A purple aura began to surround her body and her muscles and body began to grow larger. Medusa began to scream from the pain and was rolling to the side back and forth. Medusa's mask had broken off, revealing her purple eyes that she has kept hidden. Reptilian skin can now be seen on parts of her body. She was transforming into Gorgon. An image of her elder sisters and Vergil suddenly appeared in front of her, she was hallucinating.
"No. Don't look at me. You must get away from me. I can't let her take you away from me." Medusa cried out, however the image of her sisters and Vergil was still there. The next moment a large purple snake crushed the sisters and Vergil. Medusa let out a scream and continued to transform into Gorgon. A portal opens up and Vergil and the Doppelganger come flying through it. The doppelganger then disappears.
Medusa and Vergil inner world
"Right on time." Urizen stated while watching Medusa transform
"Well this is unexpected." Vergil commented.
"There is an important matter that must be dealt with." Urizen replied
"That's why I'm here to deal with the matter. What else could it be?."
"There was more to it than that. Something has begun to awaken from with in her. Think back to before you entered this singularity, when you were training with that woman there." Urizen replied. Vergil began to think back and recall Medusa mentioning something about having a body before she turned into a monster and he said he will deal with it when that time comes. He wasn't expecting it until a much later time
"It couldn't be!" Vergil remembering.
"It is."
"How is that even possible?"
"That curse seems to have been the trigger. This dreamworld and your inner worlds are very similar, thus the possibility made this place. Your bond with this woman and this place, made such a thing happen. Think of it as a meeting for both your inner worlds." Explained Urizen.
"You've gotten pretty talkative lately." Vergil smirks at Urizen.
"I wonder who is responsible for that." Urizen grinning at Vergil.
*Gorgon theme OST*
A purple pillar of light began to emit from Medusa. Vergil looks over to see the snake-like Medusa he saw earlier, but she was larger, almost the same size as Urizen. He does know that it must be serious if somehow his demon self is able to call him to this mysterious dreamlike inner world. The next moment Gorgon begins to attack Urizen and Vergil but the force field holds off her attack. Gorgon now fires mana beams from her hair and continues her assault.
"Eyesore!" Urizen waves his hand and pushes Gorgon back a good distance.
"Where is the source of our problem?" Vergil asked.
"She would know more about it."
The next moment a small beam made it through the forcefield and cut Urizen's hand. Urizen just looked at his bleeding hand unphased by the cut.
"Foolish creature, how dare you strike ME?" The whole area brightens up in the blue aura as he stands up. Urizen steps out the shadows and transforms into Vergil's Sin Devil trigger but with darker skin and darker blue blades
"It would appear this woman of yours needs to be disciplined."
"Her name is Medusa." Vergil informs him as Urizen walks off.
Urizen slowly walks outside the forcefield towards Gorgon.

*Urizen vs Gorgon.*
Urizen heads out to confront Gorgon outside the forcefield. Gorgon fires off beams from her snakeheads at Urizen. Urizen waves his hand, a magic circle appears in front of him and fires off. The two beams collide and explode. The smoke barely cleared, Gorgon charges towards Urizen and Urizen charges towards Gorgon. Gorgon attempts to tackle Urizen to the ground, but is able to do so. Gorgon continues to try to take him down. Urizen puts his hands together and hits Gorgon in the back, causing her to loosen her grip. The next moment Urizen grabs her sides and throws her into a wall, she bounces and hits the ground. Urizen charges towards Gorgon who is still down. Gorgon uses her tail and hooks Urizen's ankle, causing him to fall backwards. Gorgon leaps towards Urizen who is still on the ground. She gathers power into her fist, mounts Urizen and strikes for his head. Urizen dodges the attack, bucks her forward, grabs Gorgon by the neck. He pulls her to him and headbutts her. After he headbutts her, Urizen tosses her off of him and gets to his feet.
Gorgon assumed a stance on her hands and feet and her tail pointed Urizen. Urizen steps forward and Gorgon immediately swings her tail at his head. Urizen dodges the attack, and the tail hits a wall. Gorgon continues her attacks with her tail and Urizen blocks and dodges them. She uses her hair with snakes to attack Urizen. He grabs a handful of snake hair and side-flips and grabs more twisting her hair up. Urizen takes a few steps back, raises his arms and slams his arms downward. The whip motion knocks Gorgon off her feet and she lands face down on the ground. He does a few more times. Gorgon waves her hand and a big red circle appears underneath him and glows red and down forms over him. Urizen uses his wings to cover himself from the incoming attack.
After the attack finishes, Urizen uncovers himself and sees Gorgon's hair wrapped around her forming some kind of large cannon." I shall curse you as you curse me.." She is preparing to fire her noble phantasm. Urizen wasting no time waves his hand and shoots several quicksilver spheres and waves his other hand and blue magic circles appear underneath Gorgon. The quicksilver sphere explodes around her causing time to slow down" Melt away..". The magic circles underneath her explode and disrupt the ground underneath her. "Pandemonium Cetus!", she fires off her noble phantasm. Urizen waved his hand quickly this time, a large circle appeared and fired a demon beam. The two beams clash into each other causing an explosion.
The area is covered in smoke and Gorgon begins to unbarricade herself. After she finished, Urizen was there ready and his fist already cot back. He punches her in the face, Gorgon returns with a hook to the gut, Urizen returns a straight punch to her head, she returns with a headbutt. The two continue to trade blows. Gorgon then swings her tail, this time Urizen hops backwards and catches her tail. Gorgon tries to pull her tail back but is unable to. Urizen flaps his wings and begins to float in the air. Gorgon tries to grab hold of something to hold her footing but is unable too.
Urizen begins to spin in a circle while holding Gorgon by the tail. After many rotations he lets go and sends her flying. After she hit the ground she continued rolling for a little bit. Urizen flies towards Gorgon who is trying to regain her composure. He punches her in the gut and into a wall. Urizen fist still planted in her gut, lifts her up against the wall, over his head slams her into the ground. Gorgon tries to move his fist, but is not able to. Urizen summons swords to immobilize her tail, and summons two doppelgangers. One holds her by the ankle and the other pins her wrist. Gorgon is completely immobilized.
Urizen immobilized Gorgon and he then drove his glowing hand in between Gorgon's chest, a light coming out from the area he was reaching. Urizen pulls his arm out and throws something behind him towards Vergil. It was a naked Medusa unconscious. Vergil catches her holds like a princess and then takes a knee. He takes his coat off and covers her up and continues to hold her in arms.
"You dare lay your hands on me? I'm queen of the demonic beast! Return her to me at once!" Yelled Gorgon.
"I see you have some intelligence in that head of yours." Urizen releases Gorgon and begins to walk back to his throne. Gorgon leaps towards Urizen. He turns around and extends his hand forward. Shock waves are being generated as Gorgon tries to push forward but Urizen is not budging. Urizen made a fist, cock his arm back and threw a straight punch into the center of Gorgon's chest, sending her flying backwards into a wall. Gorgon struggled to get from that last attack, hssses at Urizen.
"Enough!"
"*Exhales* You're pretty strong." Replied Gorgon.
"We come here, to remove the curse another Servant cast on this one. Tell us where it is." As Urizen sat back in his throne and leaned his head on his fist.
"Heh. Why should I care to tell you where it is?" Gorgon replied.
"Then perhaps I should get rid of you now and be done with it." Expands his arms gathering a massive amount of demonic power. Gorgon went silent and had sweat on the side of her face.
"Stop that. We're not getting anywhere like this. Tell me where it is."
"What have we here?" looking down on Vergil like prey.
"Why do you keep her with you? There is no happiness in her future and the humans will turn on her and hunt her down."
"That is unlikely. There was a time when she was happy."
"Such a time no longer exists. There is only hatred and suffering in her life."
"I disagree. That is not the case as of now."
"What will you do when she becomes a monster? Will you turn on her, betray her and hunt her down like those before you?"
"No."
"Really? Are you saying a demonic monster and a human can coexist. Mfufuf." Gorgon moves closer to Vergil and glares at him, but he is unaffected by it.
"That is exactly what I am saying."Gorgon see no lies in Vergil words
"Hehehe. You are much braver than the other humans I've encountered. Or perhaps you are just another fool waiting for me to devourer? Mfufu." Vergil is staring at Gorgon, waiting for an answer.
"The source of the curse is no longer within her. It was removed sometime ago."
"What?"
"That pitiful thing dared to attempt such a thing? Yet he calls himself a servant. If you can't figure out when it was removed, then your brain is lower than a fly floating around a dead carcass." Gorgon replied. Vergil stops for a moment and piece together actions up to now.
"Hmm. So that's how it is."
"However, when the time comes, I will hold you to your word human." Looking at Vergil with a predatory look.
"Do get so cocky." Vergil glares back at Gorgon with a light aura of demon power.
"Hmnf. Not bad."
"The world has changed since you last appeared. You will come to realize it when that time comes."
"Ehehe. Is that right? Humans say such strange things before I kill them." Moving closer and looking at Vergil like a hungry predator.
Urizen fired a demonic ball past Gorgon's head and it had forced her hair to blow backwards. Gorgon looks up at Urizen, his hand gathering more demonic power slowly. Gorgon grinned and licked her long tongue around her lips while looking at Vergil and Urizen and chuckled. She turned around and began to leave the area.
"Prove to me that what happened out there was no fluke." Gorgon whispered to herself.
Just as she was about to leave something unexpected happened right before she entered the portal back to her area. A demonic ball hits Gorgon in the ass and she lets out a scream and turns around flaring her teeth at her attacker and shoots a mana ball while Urizen fires another demonic ball to cancel it out. Urizen hand still smoking from discharge. Vergil raised an eyebrow and looked at Urizen who gave a light chuckle.
"Whoops, my hand slipped. Bad servants need to be disciplined." As he continues to lightly chuckle.
"Hmph. Damn asshole. I'll get you back for this." As she turned around, turning red and then disappearing. Vergil moves in front of Urizen, while holding an unconscious Medusa in his arms.
"With this, the matter is now settled." Vergil asked
"Yes, be sure to watch over that child."
"You don't need to remind me. I'm well aware."
"I don't think you understand how important to her you are?"
"What are you getting at?"
"Before you arrived she said some interesting things. She does not want to lose another precious thing like she did before. Be sure to respond to this child."
"Are you giving me advice?" Vergil is a bit of a surprise.
"Take it however you want. I have spoken. The time to wake up is near. You must go."
"Indeed." Vergil began to walk towards the exit. He stopped and turned around and faced Urizen before leaving the area.
"Oh by the way. That was a nice shot." Vergil said with a small grin.
"Jackpot." Urizen grinning back at Vergil.
Vergil walks out with Medusa in his arms and lets out a light chuckle.
The dream ends and Medusa wakes up and sees that everyone else is still sleeping and the sun is getting ready to rise. She found herself next to Vergil.
"I'm truly grateful to have a Master like you." Lightly brushed his hair back.
She notices that she is looking at him without her mask and that he is not turning to stone. Medusa, not sure how this is happening, decided to put her mask back on for now just to be safe. While she was putting her mask back on Vergil woke up and sat up. The sun began to rise and a new day began. Everyone else started to wake up. They saw Vergil and Medusa were already up. Jeanne ,Mashu, Marie and Elizabeth surround Medusa to see if she is ok. Kiyohime went to make breakfast. Mozark came and congratulated Vergil on his success, afterwards Vergil briefed Olga on how things went. High in the sky, a small group of dragons pass by heading somewhere.
