Izuku was currently deciding which dye to use, he felt like today was going to involve some explosions so he dyed his hair red and orange, cause if he went yellow or blonde, then Kacchan would have a fit.
"Imagine bed head colour style with the orange highlights, though now they are actually my hair instead of clips and Iida won't get too mad" Izuku spoke to the mirror
He grabbed some breakfast, and after giving his mom a hug he left.
He left.
He. Left.
"Calm down RoboCop let me eat"
Inko was used to this by now, so she just continued eating.
Izuku vaulted over a wall before using a pizza box to slide down a diagonal window all while changing the dictionary meaning of style to a picture of himself, Izuku then noticed a hero fight and it was not going great for the heroes.
The villain seemed to have a metal quirk and had hostages in a building slowly collapsing by the metal bending in on itself if the heroes got close to the villain, the civilians would die.
"I only want this money, save the civilians and let me go" The villain spoke.
"He must have a reason for needing money, I don't see any mutations so possibly not quirk discrimination, well he's probably desperate" Izuku said he went on his way.
But the villain royally screwed himself when he revealed.
"You think I'm not serious, I've crushed many people before, you think these people stand a cha-agh" a blur went past him, knocking him out with a handsome crowbar.
"Dude don't make it weird it's a friendly crowbar" Izuku said as he sped out of sight using a lamp post to get to a roof before continuing on his way.
The building began creaking, and the heroes scrambled to get inside and get everyone out before it fell, fortunately they did, but the building still fell.
"Well, seems everything is fine, though man I would love some range, no offence friendly crowbar" Izuku smiled as he continued to style on the fools of Musutafu.
Shinso barely got out of bed that morning, it was hard, he'd always wanted to be a hero but here he is, so close, his quirk is considered villainous, and the entrance exams were only suited to combat quirks.
"Not necessarily, I mean I got in mostly on rescue points, no one's quirk is villainous, only the person can be evil" Izuku piped up from behind him as he clicked his fingers before going into finger guns.
"You again?"
"I'm not sure if I remember ever meeting you but I'm Izuku Midoriya, and I think you have the potential to be a hero" Shinso felt a little bit of joy coming from inside, and kind of panicked.
"Hey" Shinso activated his quirk.
"Not this ti-" Izuku's eyes blanked again
Forget you saw me and go to class
Izuku promptly went to his class, with Shinso having trouble hiding his grin.
Iida Tenya is someone who cares about formality and punctuality, what he doesn't care for is students bouncing on their desks!
"Midoriya please stop...bouncing?..on… what is this?
"Style affects things differently, let's just leave it at that" Izuku said as Iida began to hear music.
"You know Iida, I think you have a style but you just don't know it's there" Izuku said as he quickly used the momentum of bouncing to smoothly jog up the wall up the wall and to the other side of the room almost falling but he made it work.
"What are you talking about" Iida said as he couldn't stop grinning and bumping his head, what was that song he was hearing?
"You decide, though right now I'm hearing gazoline" Izuku smiled, he got to style 2 48%
Although people usually get affected at style 3, if they want they can voluntarily be affected at any style, which is why Izuku wanted to be a musician.
"it'd be cool to see how stylish I look with thousands of people dancing and singing with me".
"Midoriya, stop this at once" Iida said as he broke out of his grin and the music silenced.
"Done" Izuku complied immediately and sat down "just thought you'd want to let loose".
"Midoriya, I am here to learn to be a hero, to carry on the Iida hero legacy, what are you here for? To distract us from our goals?" Iida said as he pointed at Izuku.
"I want to be free, and look stylish doing it" Izuku smiled but inside he understood where Iida was coming from.
"So you just want to be able to use your quirk?" Iida asked before he came to his conclusion.
"Of course, you just want to use your quirk and get paid doing it".
"Hey, I'd still help people and I don't really care about money, except rent money and food money" Izuku added meekly.
"You don't belong here" Iida walked away to his seat.
Izuku put on his headphones and stayed quiet.
'he's right, I don't belong here'
Todoroki was unsure what to do in this situation so he just began to study whatever he had.
Ochako managed to bump into Mina and Kirishima on the way to UA. So of course they walked together, and Ochako found out that Kirishima and Mina went to school together.
"Wow, that must be rare to have two students from one school in UA?".
At this point Bakugo walked by "I wish it was" he growled as he passed them.
"Wait up Bakugo, why do you dislike Midoriya so much?" Kirishima asked, it was obvious Bakugo knew Midoriya.
He looked back as he kept walking "because he's annoying, nothing ever makes sense when he's around, and not even he knows what's going on".
"True, but have you ever tried just going with it, I feel like that's what he does, I mean I did and now I'm the 'Pink Dancer" Mina referred to the comments of the video of them dancing.
"Plus the whole time I felt I could just stop dancing and leave, but I was having too much fun, and I assume it was the same with you" Kirishima said as he slung his arm around Bakugo "admit it, Izuku's quirk affected you, but you danced".
"Fuck off" Bakugo pushed Kirishima's arm off and began walking faster.
"He really is in denial" The squad figured as they continued on to UA.
However when they got to class the usually cheerful and now fire haired Midoriya was laying at his desk with his headphones on, ignoring the world.
Unfortunately, the bell rang as they were going to approach him, he saw them and gave a smile as he took off his headphones.
From the first period to lunch, Midoriya didn't act like himself, sure he smiled, but the beat that followed him was absent.
When they got to the cafeteria, Izuku was pulled aside by Ochako, Mina and Kirishima.
"Hey what's up with you today? You've been less than stylish today" Kirishima asked Izuku
"I'm just second guessing my decisions, that's all" Izuku's smile dropped as it was replaced with a frown.
"Like your choice of hair colour scheme or something more" Mina asked
"I'm second guessing my decision to be a hero"
Izuku let that float on the air before he continued whilst leaning against the wall "I only want to use my quirk without getting a fine or being chased by police, but the only way I can use it is by being a hero, I don't belong here".
"Midoriya" Ochako grabbed Izuku's hand.
"In the entrance exams, I was so nervous, but then I met you and suddenly I was too confused by you to be nervous" Ochako said with a smile.
"Well that's kinda mean" Izuku said
"And then when everyone ran from the zero pointer, you were the only one that came back to help me, fair enough you did ditch me after failing to lift the concrete" Ochako giggled at the memory before continuing
"But then you did come back and save me, and you did it with style" Ochako finished mimicking the smash.
"Yeah and when I saw you doing that weird dance during the start of the entrance exam, your confidence spurred me on" Kirishima added as he joined in on the smiling.
"Ok I feel like you are slipping insults into yo-"
"Then when I was low, you gave me that burst of points that allowed me to pass, and your style and advice made me a better man"
"Ok I'll just let y-"
"And yesterday, when you were too scared to fight those people, you turned a situation which would have resulted in a brawl" Mina started before turning to Kirishima "no offence Kirishima".
"None taken"
"What about me? I am taking much off-"
"you turned it into the greatest time we ever had" Mina finished with a smile.
"Izuku" the style squad said in unison.
"You are in the right place".
"You want to use your quirk freely? So what? Who doesn't? After witnessing what you can do yesterday I would never want to stop" Ochako added as Mina bumped shoulders with Kirishima raising her eyebrows a couple times.
It was small but the beat was noticeable.
"Plus we're here to learn to be heroes, and have you not talked to our classmates, Mineta just wants to get girls, and most heroes just want popularity so you are no different" Mina added.
The beat began to thump
"Plus a stylish kid once told me that it isn't stylish to doubt yourself".
And just like that the beat was back as Izuku jumped to his feet and began his style walk into the cafeteria.
"Well come on guys, we gotta eat if we want to have energy" Izuku then walked ahead of the style squad.
The residents of the cafeteria spared a look at Izuku as his very being was attention grabbing.
As he walked he spared some finger guns to Iida who only looked back with surprise before going stern again.
"Looks like he won't need us" Aizawa said as he watched Izuku return to his normal self. Before returning with a worried Toshinori to the teachers lounge for a nap.
"I AM ENTERING THIS CLASS LIKE A NORMAL PERSON" All Might announced as chatter began.
"Yeah, pretty normal entrance" Izuku yawned.
"How would you do it then? 'with style'?" Mineta sneered.
"You can't make a better entrance than that" he added.
*New objective . Make a better entrance than that.
"Would I even need to try?" Izuku said as he leaned back
"Wow Izuku, that's a pretty prideful thing to say, given your non combative quirk" Tsuyu said.
"Eh?"
Izuku looked forward as All Might held a card saying battle trial.
"Oh that?, yeah I probably will have to try, as long as my opponent isn't-
"Best Friend Bakugo!" Izuku cheered, whilst his heart thumped in his ears.
"Go easy on me will ya, ol' buddy ol' pal?" Izuku grinned as he looked at Bakugo's retreating form.
He couldn't see Bakugo's large smile, it honestly didn't belong on his face, it was truly genuine because he knew that he was now required to beat up Izuku to be a hero, and he liked that goal.
It started as a giggle but then it was a chuckle now it was full blown laughter he actually fell on the ground and was slamming his hand on the floor.
All the while Izuku was just watching him growing more and more nervous as he continued.
"He's going to kill me" he said to Ochako as tears pricked his eyes.
"You'll be fine" Ochako said, ignorant of how wrong she was.
"You don't understand, he has years of experience trying to kick my ass, and now he has me in an enclosed space with nowhere to go, I don't think I'll even respawn. It hasn't been introduced yet"
"Well then as long as we work together then we have a chance" Ochako brimmed with determination.
"You are going to look really dumb when I'm dead and the last words were 'we have a chance'.
"Well Izuku, if we are going to fail? Let's fail with style" Ochako encouraged as Izuku who gave a shrug then stretched".
"Well then, let's go and get our asses kicked" Izuku said as he marched before stopping "oh yea we have 5 minutes to plan" before going back to Ochako.
"Yeah we aren't skipping the costume reveal so time reverse" he said on the way back.
Before The Previous Timeskip
...as long as my opponent isn't my Best Bud Bakugo" Izuku finished.
"If only I were as lucky as you" Bakugo complained.
"AND THESE ARE THE COSTUMES, GET CHANGED THEN FOLLOW ME" All Might said as he left the class.
"Woah Izuku, thought you'd have something more…" Jirou glanced at Aoyama who was looking at himself in the mirror "nevermind the colour scheme matches your highlights"
"Yeah, get this? I can change the colour of this suit, but I can't do it on the fly, I'd have to plug it into this".
Izuku showed a screen on his wrist that he had that acted as a phone for music and changing colour scheme "and select the colours".
"What about the headphones and…I want to say speakers?"
"Correct, I want some music while I'm styling, but the speakers will be revealed when they need to be"
Izuku was currently dressed in his costume, he figured that he would be like a hidden hero, like someone commits a crime in public, then boom there is Izuku, dressed with his currently red Moto pants, speakers on the shins and thighs. And a holster for his crow bar.
He chose an orange and white baseball shirt with speakers on the arm and forearms, in the middle of the shirt, a pointy '8' resides.
"Infinite style but vertical for, well style"
To top it off he wore his biker vest in all its glorious purple-ness
And on his head he wore his headphones that were part of his mask that made All Might blush.
'They aren't pointing up like All Might, they are dropped like Toshinori!" All Might's smile got a little bigger than.
Izuku's mask had two tuffs that went down his face to act as a way to keep the mask on.
But that wasn't the only thing that caught attention.
"What is that on your face Midoriya? You have a villain's signature look!" Iida pointed to Izuku's eyes which had Destro's mark"
"He was a villain cause he used his quirk to fight for free quirk use, he's doing what All Might is doing, he just had to work harder since he wasn't the fucking number one hero!" Izuku yelled back.
"MIDORIYA" All Might called him as Iida chopped.
"YOU CAN HAVE OPINIONS, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T INSPIRE TERRORISM" All Might gave a thumbs up.
"Of course, apologies for my intrusion" Iida bowed to All Might and Izuku although it was a half bow.
Back To The Timeskip That Was In The Future
"Ok so that's the plan we totally just made" Izuku said as a countdown to the start got to 2.
"Yup, though why are you talking like we didn't make a plan?" Ochako asked.
"Meh, don't worry about it" Izuku as he selected the song to play
"GO"
Heyo, sorry to end it here, but I'm not too confident with the hero costume so I'd like your opinion before I continue, plus I'm already at 2000 words
