A little lost bird
Strolling along the bustling boardwalk under the warm night air was a short female who only stood five feet and two inches tall. Long straight blonde hair with green and blue streaks fell down her back to her plump bottom. So what she had a bit of a bubble butt, not that this gray eyed girl cared to much about it. Twirling a multicolored strand of hair around her finger, the girl looked around only to come to a stop. She watched as several males tried to drag a small child into an alleyway against the child's will. Dropping her hair, she hurried over to the alleyway to see the child being pushed against the wall.
"Little brat, you should have stayed with those freaks instead of wandering alone, right boys?" the leader asked. He had a mow hawk of green hair with a black stripe in the middle. Five other guys dressed in a mix if surfer clothing ringed where he held the boy against the wall. The leader moved to take out a knife from his pocket only to cry out. Shouting in pain, he held is broken hand as he looked at who had kicked it. A small female stood protectively in front of the boy who hung out with their rival gang, The Lost Boys.
"Bastards so weak you have to gang up on a child to feel like real men. I hate men like you." The gray eyed female growled out as she drew a seven inch knife from her right boot. Holding the blade backwards to rest against her wrist, she got ready to defend the child behind her. She had a feeling if she had tried stabbing at them that she would lose her knife so she was going to use it to defend and cause pain.
The leader ordered his guys to get her not realizing that this girl was not going to go down without a fight that would leave many of them badly wounded. The first guy who tried to punch her, screamed in pain as he punched right into the blade when the girl raised her arm to block the punch. He screamed as he cradled his bleeding torn hand to his chest as a buddy ripped off his shirt to try and stem the blood flow. The remaining three guys glanced at each other before trying to jump her at the same time.
Kicking out her left leg, she nailed one in the balls with a hard kick as she slashed her arm at the guy on her right side. Her left hand shot out to claw her nails down the guy's face as he had tried to grab the kid from behind her from the left. The guy on her right jumped back to dodge being hit by the blade as he pulled his buddy who was kicked in the nuts back as well. Glaring at the guys who wanted to get the child behind her, she finally had enough of them.
Handing the knife behind her to the child, she dropped her leather jacket to the ground and kicked off her boots. Once her jacket was off along with her boots, her form began to shift as feathered wings grew from her back while her feet began to form into talons. Her fingers grew long talons while feathers sprouted up her arms just a bit pass her elbow. Fangs grew in her mouth as she glared at the six men through golden bird like eyes. Her harpy form was complete as she stood with her wings spread before the child she was defending from them.
"You bastards chose the wrong person to piss off." She screeched at them making them hold their ears in pain. Using he wings to shot forward, her talons sunk into the leader's chest as she stabbed him in the heart before cruelly ripping her hand from his chest. He dropped dead at her feet as she turned her attention to killing the remaining five men with in minutes. Soon the remaining five men laid dead at her feet with their necks slit by her sharp talons as she licked the blood from her right talons. "Your safe now hatching but where is the rest of your pack?" she asked. Looking over her shoulder, she smiled at the child as she held out her left hand towards him. The boy handed her back the knife before passing her jacket and boots to which she thanked him.
"Well Hatching, I am Ava and you are?" she asked as she began to lick the blood from her left taloned hand. The brown hair boy smiled at her as he spoke. "I am Laddie and I got left behind by Star as she went to flirt with a boy. And I was looking for my brothers when they grabbed me." He said softly. Ava sighed softly before gently ruffling his hair with her talons. "Hatching, we will go find your brothers in a few minutes. It takes a bit for me to calm down after taking my true harpy form before I shift back to human." She said.
Laddie stared at her in awe since he had never heard of Harpies but for myths that Dwayne had read to him. He couldn't believe that there was more than vampires out there and he was excited to see what else lived and roamed the earth alongside his vampire brothers. Gently he touched her left wing watching as she jumped lightly before a faint warbling left her lips. When she didn't stop him, he walked behind her to run his hand over more of her wings in curiosity.
After a few minutes, she told him to stop. "If you don't stop the petting of my wings, we will never get to go look for your brothers." She said. Laddie pouted faintly since he had enjoyed playing with her wings and touching the super soft feathers. Just as she was about to start shifting back to her human form, the sound of boots at the end of the alleyway drew her attention to four males who stood there. "Laddie come here" called the only dark hair male while the three blondes watched her in their vampire forms. "Go on hatching your pack is here. See you again one day maybe" she called as she shot off into the air leaving the vampires to collect their smallest member.
Dwayne looked down at Laddie as he looked him over for any wounds while David eyed the mess as Marko and Paul removed the dead humans. "Who was that girl with wings Laddie?" David asked. Laddie smiled at his brothers. "She saved me when those humans tried to hurt me because Star left me alone and I couldn't find you guys. She is called Ava and she is a harpy." He said. David shared a look with Dwayne they would be see Max later to find out what other creatures the head vampire had hidden from them.
