Third Person POV

The time had finally come. Naruto was waiting for his new sensei with his teammates. They had been waiting for hours and their teacher had yet to arrive.

Sasuke was busy being an emo across the room from him. Sakura had tried to get sasuke's attention but she had given up and was staring at the front of the classroom bored out of his mind.

Naruto was quietly suffering and dying from boredom. Had he know it would be this boring he would have brought something to do. He lazily looked across the room and suddenly got up.

"This is annoying! I think he forgot about us. I'm going to the Hokage's office and finding out what happened to our teacher." Naruto exclaimed and Sakura looked at him flustered.

"We can't just barge into the Hokage's office and complain to the Hokage!" She stammered out in shock and Naruto scoffed. "Sure, maybe you two can't, but I can. I'll let you guys know how it went." Naruto nodded determined as he started leaving his seat.

"What is this about the Hokage that I hear?" A voice stated and the three of them turned around that it seemed to almost cause them whiplash.

A tall white haired man stood at the door. He had a dark navy blue colored mask and the official Konoha Jonin attire. "Finally!" Naruto exclaimed while Sasuke asked him if he was their teacher.

"Calm down, it's to early in the morning for you to be so full of energy." he stated and paused for a moment as Naruto's face went red with anger and annoyance. " I'm your new genin sensei. Meet me on the roof." Kakashi sighed as he vanished in a cloud of smoke.

"What an ass." Naruto grumbled as the three of them hurried out of the room and towards the roof.

They quickly arrived and Kakashi was quietly waiting on them. He was quietly observing them as they walked outside.

Naruto furrowed his nose as he was hit by the summer heat. Sakura simply used her hand to shade her eyes and sasuke walked up to Kakashi quietly with his arms crossed.

"Go ahead and take a seat, as I previously stated I'm your new sensei. We will all be introducing ourselves. I'll go ahead and set the example. My name is Kakashi Hatake, I'm twenty-six years old. My likes are pretty interesting, My hobbies, hmmm, those are pretty entertaining if I say so myself. My dislikes are like, hmm, a few pet peeves of mine, and at the moment I don't have any on going goal for myself other than training you to the best of my abilities." Kakashi stated and the three of them glared at him.

Naruto was internally fuming. Why did this remind him of his siblings when they were purposely bullshit themselves out of a situation. His mood immediately changed when Kakashi directly asked him to start.

Used to being put on the spotlight, he quickly spoke up. " My name is Naruto Uzumaki." He pause for a slight moment considering either to go ahead and introduce himself properly, or purposely be an ass right back to his new teacher. He quickly stopped himself as he remembered his mothers nagging on first impressions and why they were so important.

"I'm twelve years old, My likes are training, Hanging out at Teuchi's ramen stand and ramen. My dislikes are super rude people and sweet potatoes. And my dream-" He paused for a moment and smiled, his goal hadn't changed, and the clan head position was a stepping stone for his final goal. "It's to be Hokage." He grinned cheekily.

Kakashi cocked a brow, but said nothing as he gestured for Sakura to go. "My name is Sakura Haruno and I'm twelve years old. My likes are-" She blushed for a moment and " A certain... someone and my dislikes are-." She paused for a moment. "Ino pig and people who don't have manners. My dream is-." She trailed off again and looked thoughtful for a moment. She blushed slightly and shook her head.

"To be a really good ninja and achieve a certain goal." She squealed slightly at the end and tried to get her composure back. Kakashi nodded and looked over at sasuke.

"Sasuke Uchiha, Twelve, I don't like a lot of things and there are a lot of things I dislikes. My goal is to kill a certain man and to restore my clan." Sasuke stated in a monotone. Sakura looked taken back by the end of his speech and Naruto was sweat dropping hoping that Sasuke didn't want to kill him.

Kakashi paused for a moment, looked up at the sky and back down at them. He nodded and looked over the three of them. "Well, Before you can become an official ninja for Konoha, you have to pass my little test. We will be meeting on training ground seven. Try to be there at around 6:00 A.M , also, try not to eat unless you want to throw up." He smiled and vanished.

The three of them stood there in shock. "Another test?" Naruto mumbled in shock. He hadn't been told about that. Did his mom know? Did she keep it from him? He thought to himself.

"No way! Another test!" Sakura whined. Sasuke hummed in annoyance as he turned around and started to leave.

"Wait, Sasuke-kun." Sakura cried out and followed behind him. "I guess, I'll go home." He muttered as he left the academy.

Naruto called out a welcome as soon as he arrived to the temple. "Naruto-san, welcome home." Miya called out as he carried a few packs of scrolls.

"Is that the new paper?" Naruto asked with a smile wave. "Yes, we just finished the latest batch. You're mother left me in charge of bringing it in the temple." He stated as he bowed slightly and headed out the room.

"Where did everyone else go!" Naruto called out loudly as he tossed his jacket on the couch. "They went to konohamaru's they won't be back till later!" He heard Miya call out as he left.

"Damn, that means I got the house all to myself." He huffed as he hurried to the kitchen to see if there was any food in the fridge.

Soon it was morning and Naruto was getting ready for the final exam. He hadn't asked Mizuko about the second test because he figured that she was aware of it. He had managed to wake up at 5:30 a.m and was dead on his feet as he got ready.

By the time he left, Mizuko had just gotten up and managed to wish him good luck.

The closer that he got to the training ground, the more concerned he became, Maybe he should have asked his mom about the exam.

By the time he arrived both Sakura and Sasuke were there. He greeted them with a wave. Sasuke grunted and Sakura gave him a small wave.

"Do you guys think he will take long?" Sakura groaned as she crouched down. "Judging by his late appearance yesterday, it's possible." Naruto grumbled as he crossed his arms.

"Oh, that reminds me. Naruto my dad mentioned that I needed to get a card for the Uzumaki seal shop. Do you know where I can get it?" Sakura asked and Naruto glanced at her and nodded. His cheeks flushed as he realized she was willingly talking to him.

"Yeah, you have to go to the tower and send in an application. They send you the card once you have been approved." Naruto stated. "Uzumaki seal card?" Sasuke asked and both Sakura and Naruto turned to him.

Sakura immediately stood up and was ready to answer her crushes questions. "Don't you know sasuke-kun. It's a new shinobi store that is the rage right now. My father who's a retired genin told me that everyone is purchasing the newest and best seals there. They have everything. Or so I've heard." She stated and Sasuke turned to her and then to Naruto.

Naruto on the other hand was trying to not show his annoyance with Sasuke.

'Damn him, just when I finally got Sakura's attention!!! He ruined my conversation with her. That asshole just had to bud in!!' Naruto thought to himself as he tried to hide his glare towards Sasuke

Soon enough the conversation died off and they quietly waited for Kakashi's arrival.

By the time Kakashi had arrived a few hours had passed and the three of them were at their wits end.

"Kakashi sensei, You're late!" Both Naruto and Sakura complained loudly. "My bad. I was side tracked by a small kitten that needed my help. Anyways, are you three ready for your test?" He asked and all three of them stood up a bit straighter as they prepared themselves for the instructions.

"You see these two bells?" he asked before he explained the tested. They listened closely to what Kakashi had to say and they were all glancing at each other. Naruto was basically pulling his hair out. He wanted to be on the same team as Sakura, but he knew that she wouldn't want to work with him. How the hell was he suppose to pass his test.

"Alright, you can start." Kakashi smirked and the three of them jumped back. Naruto immediately threw a smoke bomb at him. "Challenge me to a one on one fight!" he yelled and Kakashi sighed.

Mizuko had finally arrived home from a council meeting. Everyone had arrived at the temple earlier than her.

"Who is it! Who just got home?! Oh, hey mom." Kenta smiled as he noticed Mizuko enter the living room. She looked at him confused as he went back to drawing.

"When did you get home, and who else is here?" She asked and he shrugged. "Karin said she had something to do. Ryuu took everyone else to the park and I just got back from Konohamaru. His babysitter said he was chasing us or whatever so I decided to dip." He shrugged and Mizuko stared at him.

"You mean, ah um." Mizuko thought for a moment. "Ebisu, right?" she asked and Kenta shrugged. " I didn't ask the for the old guys name. But maybe." He stated and Mizuko grunted.

"Well, I'm going to get started with Dinner. You're older brother might bring his teammates over today. I did tell him to offer an invitation to them." Mizuko stated as she headed to the kitchen and began unsealing the food that she had purchased.

As Mizuko cooked everyone started arriving. Umi arrived with Kaida, and Hayami as well. "When did you get home?" She asked as the two small kids followed behind her. "About thirty minutes ago." Mizuko stated as she stirred the green curry and started working on the side dishes.

"What did ya'll do today?" Mizuko asked and Umi grinned. We went to the park and then we went shopping. I bought both of them a few sweets as well." Umi stated and Mizuko smiled.

"That's great, also thanks for watching them. I can't take them with me when I go to clan meetings at the Hokage tower. I'll also make sure to leave a big tip." Mizuko smiled as she mentioned how she was going to pay Umi for helping her baby sit.

"I'll help you cook." Umi smiled and both of them stayed in the kitchen.

It had taken Naruto a bit to convince Sasuke into coming to the temple. Sure he didn't really want to invite him or Kakashi sensei. But he wanted Sakura to come and for her to even agree Sasuke had to go. And Mizuko had mentioned that she wanted to meet his sensei so he had to invite him as well.

He was happy that they had managed to pass. Who would have thought that the answer was teamwork.

He could see how it made sense. By himself he wasn't able to do much, but with the help of the people around him, he had improved so much, and anything he didn't get he could ask for help and they were willing to help him. It was nice and to be honest he didn't mind the extra help.

"It's not that far." Naruto stated as they climbed the stairs to the temple. "You climb these everyday?" Sakura asks as she was a bit out of breath from climbing all the stairs. Kakashi simply walked in silence and Sasuke grunted in agreement to Sakura's comment.

"Well yeah, it's not like there's another way to get to the top." Naruto stated sarcastically and Sasuke snorted as he held back a laugh.

Sakura huffed and mumbled something under her breath which Naruto nor Sasuke could hear.

"Wow." Sakura muttered as they finally made it to the top. Beside the tori gates there were to massive stone lanterns about 6 feet tall and 6 feet in width and length. there was a large brick road in front of the temple entrance. It looked like a traditional temple with large red gates and beautiful golden knobs.

"Wow, so it's like an actual temple." Sakura gasped as she looked at the massive Uzumaki temple.

"Well, yeah and it's not just for the looks, we have a whole shrine and everything." Naruto stated as he led them to the side of the building where he usually entered from.

"Yo! I brought guests!" Naruto yelled out as he opened the door and led his team in the temple.

"Leave your sandals here." Naruto stated as he pointed to the shoe rack.

The three of them were quietly removing their shoes and Naruto started to lead them inside.

Kakashi was caught off guard by the shrine that was by the door. The first thing he had noticed was the portrait of Kushina smiling brightly.

"Sensei, you have to take your shoes off too." Naruto called out as he noticed Kakashi standing at the door way. It was only due to skill that he was able to suppress his reaction.

"I know." Kakashi sighed tiredly as he bowed to the shrine and proceeded to remove his ninja sandals. He gave one last look to Kushina's portrait before following behind his students.

"BIG BROTHER!" Hayami squealed as Naruto led his teammate into the living room.

Naruto gleamed as he caught his little sister and lifted her up in the air. Hayami squealed loudly and giggled.

"Are they your friends?" She asked as she looked over his shoulder. Naruto squinted slightly. "Eh, more like teammates." He whispered lowly and she cocked her head slightly to look over his shoulder to see them.

"This is my little sister Hayami." He stated as he rocked back and forth with her. "This is Sakura, she's my teammate. The guy with white hair is my sensei. And there's Sasuke." He muttered the last part. Hayami had eagerly waved at Sakura and Kakashi, but when she turned to sasuke she slowly stopped and hid in Naruto's jacket.

Sasuke quickly looked away and huffed. He wished he had not agreed to come along. First and foremost he had come to the realization that he was a bit envious of Naruto. But could you blame him, he had lost all of his family, relatives, and neighbors. Two years later, his orphan classmate suddenly has family from a Ninja village that had been destroyed two decades prior, appear and adopt him. He had gone from dead last to a somewhat decent fighter and he had restored his clan.

Every once in a while a he could feel a slimmer of hope that maybe someone, somehow, was out of the village that day. But he knew that they had ALL been accounted for. After being released from the hospital, after the masacre, he made sure that all of the funeral arrangements had been done correctly. He double checked every document he could get his hands on, all of the graves, he had to make absolutely sure that there was no one else. Itachi had made him watch it so many times that he could knew how they died, where they died and how long it took for them to die. So logically knew that there was no way.

But seeing someone else live out his dream was hard. At first he had tried to keep his cool and act like it didn't affect him, but the more he had learned about the second shinobi war and the full layout of the destruction of Uzushiogakure, it started to get under his skin. After that he tried to convince himself that it was a useless distraction from his goal and started training himself until he was exhausted.

It worked, in the sense of completely avoiding the feelings of envy that he was feeling. Sasuke had sincerely thought that he had made a breakthrough, but that had only worked at the academy. Now that he was actually having to interact with naruto and his family he realized that he had not mentally prepared at all.

It was quite obvious by Sasuke's souring mood that he was annoyed. Naruto on the other hand was side eyeing Sasuke. Naruto was not a chakra sensing master, but Sasuke's chakra was loud and cackling with lightning. It was precisely for this reason why he picked a lot of fights with him. Every time Naruto was around Sasuke would rile up his chakra towards him, and thus Naruto vocally voiced out challenges. This was also the reason Naruto even bothered with their rivalry, because most of the time Sasuke simply avoided him, ( Sasuke was avoiding Naruto in order to avoid his thoughts )and Naruto was always busy doing something with his family, by himself or for for his training.

Sasuke glared at Naruto and then gave an annoyed huff. Naruto rolled his eyes at him and continued to lead them into the temple dinning hall.

Umi and the others were busy bringing out plates and food when team seven entered. They happily greeted them and offered them seats. " Mizuko-sama will be here soon, she's just in the busy at the moment. Please take a seat. We are having dinner soon." Umi stated politely after greeting them.

"Thank you." Kakashi smiled politely. Internally he was dying, everyone was loud and his sensitive ears were already ringing.

A few more people joined the table, bringing a few pots. Umi was quickly and quietly serving the rice.

By the time Mizuko came out of the kitchen with a pot full of green curry, everyone had their rice already.

"Sorry for the wait." Mizuko smiled as she set the pot down on the low rise table. Everyone suddenly quieted down. Sakura was looking over Naruto's siblings.

'They don't look alike at all... Well at least not a lot.' Sakura thought to herself.

But she instantly recognized one girl. Immediately Karin recognized her as well.

A few years back when Karin started the academy she had a disagreement with Ino and Sakura who were a grade above her.

It had started off with a few passing comments about Sasuke, but as soon as Karin mentioned she was going to try and date him both Ino and Sakura started throwing a few insults and trying to threaten Karin to back down.

It quickly escalated from there, both of them wished they had kept their mouth shut, Karin had quickly shown them she wouldn't sit idle to threats.

Needless to say they went low, but Karin went lower. At the end Sakura ran away crying and Ino was trying to stammer out comebacks.

Karin had acknowledged them as rivals and amongst the fangirls she was quickly acknowledged as the 1 fan girl. Then she suddenly stopped. Sakura and Ino were grateful and hoped that she suddenly gave up on Sasuke. But that didn't mean that she didn't gain a lot of popularity on her own.

They hadn't talked to her again, but unfortunately Sakura found herself sitting almost right across from her.

The moment they locked eyes Sakura immediately looked away. 'It's like being in the lions den! Even Ino couldn't win. Against her!' Sakura thought to herself.

'Well now that Ino and I graduated, she's technically the queen bee of the academy. But I'm the one with the advantage! I'm in sasukes team!' Sakura smirked to herself and sat up straight.

Sasuke passed her a bowl with food and Sakura took it and set it down.

Everyone gave their thanks and started eating. "Sorry for the late introductions. I'm Mizuko Uzumaki."

Hey better this than no post at all
