I think writing itself is a form of relaxation. Writing shouldn't be a tedious task or torture, which is precisely why I cannot stand most English classes. No matter how many times the professor reiterates that he wants us to write the essay however we like, using our own opinions, thoughts, ideas, and imagination, the ending result is always the same. You receive a grade. I've never been able to comprehend how anyone can grade a piece of literature. True, one could critique it, pointing out several overt flaws in construction or grammatical errors, but truly to brand awork of artwith a frivolous letter is degrading, humiliating, andsimply impossible in my opinion. There is onlylike and dislike.

True, I have my share literature I dislike. It'sundesirable because I dislike the plot, the characterization,sometimes the very style and tonethe author uses; sometimes the symbolismis too trivial or archaic or simply nonexistent.However, I would never considerbranding the author like a cow.After all, one person's garbage is another's ,attaching a fictional letter to a work of art is demeaning to boththepieceand the , mydear readers,critique my writingas you wish. Constructive criticism isvery appreciated.However, resorting to personal attacks because you dislikeone story is simply unjust.Rememberthere is no such thing as a bad author, only a difference of opinion.
