Author's Note and Disclaimer: I own nothing of The Lost Boys. Just my OC's Lucinda and Athena. Also please note I will make some deviations to the story line. Also, the chapters will get better. I am going to give the girls more personality chapters soon. These are just intro chapters really.

Chapter 2 – Boardwalk

"All right everyone! Let us all try to leave the boardwalk tonight with at least having put in about 5 applications." Lucy said optimistically as they drove towards the Santa Carla boardwalk.

All her children smiled at her. Lucy was such a happy soul. Even with the betrayal and the divorce somehow Lucy had remained such a wonderful person. She did not let all the terrible things get her down, to make her bitter. It worried them. They worried that she had so much bottled-up pain. Lucy was not a perfect mother, but she was close in their eyes.

The drive to the boardwalk had been short and they all separated from each other but Mike and Sam. Sam was Michael's little shadow. That was until he found Frog's Comics. Sam ditched Mike for the comics. Mike continued his trek down the walk to find a job of some sort. He found a sign-up board for beach clean up crew. He signed up to be called back. The wage was not that great, but it was a little income. The sound of a saxophone drew Mike towards the beach. There was a concert going on with Tim Cappello. He stood and watched the concert. A flash of swaying white caught his attention. It was a girl. She was beautiful. She was almost waifish with her slender build, she had big curly hair, and loose flowy clothing. She caught him staring and turned to leave with a little boy trailing behind her. Mike quickly followed. He was smitten bad. Before he could catch her Sam came over to him asking what he was doing. He followed Mike until he stopped. The girl got on the back of another guy's bike. Sam made a comment about being stiffed before he took off on his own again. Mike watched them go. The girl looked back at him as they drove off.

Lucinda and Athena had stayed together as they searched. Lucinda was a total grease monkey. She had found a shop at the edge of the boardwalk that was getting ready to close for the night. The man almost turned her away. Lucinda was stubborn and begged him to let her show him what she knew. He had sighed heavily but allowed her. Lucinda had helped him quickly finish up the last motorcycle he had for the night. She impressed him with her knowledge and skill. He hired her on the spot after that. Lucinda had been so happy that she hugged him. A loud knock had drawn their attention. It was the bike's owner. He took Lucinda's breath away. He was shirtless but wore a leather jacket. His dark hair and Native American features with the single dangle earring, just drew her in. She was head over heels for a man she had just met. But there was something more. Almost a magnetism. He winked at her causing Lucinda to blush furiously.

The mechanic came over to the young man with the bill, "Little lady fixed your bike."

The man's dark eyes snapped to her bright emerald ones. Her blush deepened. Athena stared at Lucinda. She had never seen her tom boy sister so head over heels for a guy. She had seen her in a few relationships with some girls but never had she been this bad after meeting a guy. Lucinda was usually the love and leave them when it came to guys. Athena nudged Lucinda on the shoulder to break her from her mini-internal freak out.

"She's Lucinda." Athena introduced her sister, "She just got a job here. She impressed Mr. Bob here fixing your bike."

"Oh really." Mystery Man said, his voice almost a growl, "I'm Dwayne."

Dwayne stuck his hand out to Lucinda. Lucinda looked at it at first but then grasped it firmly with hers to shake. Dwayne pulled her close to him. Athena gaped at him. Lucinda gasped at the contact. The tingles that spread through her. Her heartbeat against her rib cage, trying to break free and fly away. His dark eyes bore right through her as he slid them down her person. Athena was just a bystander and she felt naked with the look he was roving over her sister. Her cheeks tinted bright red. The intensity coming from Dwayne reminded both girls of straight up hot, wild sex.

"Time to close." Mr. Bob said briskly, he was ready to go home.

Dwayne paid the man. Mr. Bob handed Lucinda half of what Dwayne paid him. He patted her shoulder and went to his office. Lucinda and Athena went out the garage door to see Dwayne was waiting on them. The girls approached him.

"I am going to go to the book shop. Ok?" Athena said and Lucinda nodded.

"Want a ride?" Dwayne asked of Lucinda as Athena left.

"Yeah, why not?" Lucinda said and climbed on behind Dwayne.

Lucinda wrapped her leather clad arms around his waist. He took off like a shot and Lucinda whooped behind him. They rode down the moonlit beach. The screams of the boardwalk and the crash of the ocean waves filled the air around them, almost drowning out the rumble of the motorcycle engine. They crest a dune and see an abandoned campfire and a cooler. Dwayne killed the engine, and they made their way down to the campfire. Lucinda opened the cooler and found ice cold beer. She grabbed two. Tossed one to Dwayne and popped her own open. A few sips into her beer Lucinda and Dwayne began a conversation.

After Lucinda had taken off with Dwayne, Athena got to the book shop. Ye Olde Book Shoppe was its name. She first began to look around. Athena picked up a few crystals and a stack of tarot cards. She needed a new quartz after hers had been lost in the move.

"May I help you?" a breathy, smoky, voice asked.

Athena made her way over to the check out counter. She laid out the items she intended to purchase and asked if help was needed. The Lady, Madame Monique did indeed need help part time. She needed a closer for the evenings. Madame Monique's niece used to help around the shop, but she graduated high school and had left as soon as summer started to go travelling. Madame Monique asked if she could begin work tomorrow afternoon around 3:00 and she would work until 9:00. The shop closed at 8:30 and that gave 30 minutes to count the days totals and do a little clean up. Athena was thrilled. She made her purchase and thanked Madame Monique and she set back out onto the boardwalk.

Her stomach rumbled a bit, so she decided to grab a snack. She ordered a loaded nacho from a vendor with a large coke. The nachos smelled amazing, and her stomach rumbled more. Before she could even take a bite, a literal body came careening on to her table and smack down onto her nachos and coke. Athena growled at the boy that had destroyed her snack.

"First you mess with my bike and now you take out the lady's food!" a voice yelled.

The KO'd guy on the table was suddenly snatched off the top of what remained of her nachos by a cute curly headed biker with a patchwork jacket. Curly head then dropped the dude, rolling his green eyes. He was out for the count.

"I am so sorry." Curly head said to her.

Athena looked up at him, right into his eyes. Her eyes seemed to startle him. He moved closer to her just staring into her eyes. He was taller than her, so it was a little strange for her. He suddenly stroked her cheek with his gloved hand. He stopped and jerked his hand back.

"I am sorry. I do not know what just came over me." He said, "I am Marko."

"I am Athena." She stated.

"Want some more Nachos?" He asked.

"Yeah. Thanks." She answered.

Athena sat at a different table as Marko ordered her replacement Nachos. It only took a few minutes when he returned with a tray of food and two cokes. He had not only replaced her loaded nachos and coke but had decided that he was going to join her. He had ordered for himself loaded fries and a corn dog with mustard. Athena thanked him again and took a sip of her coke. She saw out of the corner of her eye that he stole one of her nachos. She gave him a look that said, "I dare you to do that again". He smiled at her with a cheeky grin. Marko picked up his corndog and she snatched a fry. He pointed his corndog at her. Athena leaned forward and bit off half his corndog. Marko stared at her mouth when that happened. A cocky smirk was on her face as she chewed the corndog.

"That was so hot." Marko whispered.

Marko dropped his corndog back on the tray and grabbed Athena and kissed her. Athena squeaked at his suddenness. But it felt right. The sparks were flying. It felt like electricity was dancing all over and under her skin. The sudden rev of a motorcycle had Marko pulling back from her. Athena panted for breath as he leaned his forehead against hers.

"I love your eyes." He said as his lips sought hers again.

The revving of a motorcycle had him pull away with a groan. Marko stood from his seat and looked her over. Marko seemed to be trying to commit her to memory.

"Will you come back tomorrow, Athena?" He asked, hopefully.

"Yes. I start work tomorrow at Ye Olde Book Shoppe." She stated and he grinned.

"I will see you then." He said and headed off.

Athena watched him go. She saw a curly headed girl head in the same direction. Her brothers were right behind her. She got up to go and noticed that her sister was making her way in the same direction. Athena stopped when Lucinda stopped. The curly haired girl got on the bike behind a gorgeous platinum blonde biker. Said biker looked at her brother and smirked. Athena rolled her eyes. Then he looked over at her. His ice blue eyes ignited a flame in her body. A swift intake of air had Lucinda hold her hand. The platinum blonde winked at her. Marko started and revved his bike. Athena met his eyes and he nodded at her. Almost like he said it was ok about the other guy.

Lucinda had noticed that a cute little boy got on behind Dwayne. She wondered if he was a single father. Was he a younger brother? Then her musings were interrupted as another bike rolled forward. The man on the bike grabbed her attention. He seemed wild. He was dressed just like a rock star. His blonde hair was teased. The tight white pants did not leave anything to Lucinda's imagination. What was wrong with her? Not just one but two of these guys had snagged her attention. They were night and day. She wanted them both instantaneously. Where had that even come from? The feeling of eyes on her brought her emerald eyes up to meet his sky-blue eyes. Her breath caught in her throat when he smiled. He had a beautiful smile and such kissable lips. Oh, she wanted to kiss him. Dwayne was a great kisser she had found out.

The sudden honk of a car broke all the siblings from their reveries. They noticed that Lucy was at her car and was trying to get their attention. Mike waved at her to let her know they were coming as Sam ran to her. The rest of the Emerson brood looked back at their hearts desires and saw that they were beginning to leave. Each of them looked back as they drove off. With a heavy sigh from Mike, they all went to Lucy's station wagon to go home.

(At the Cave – Hudson's Bluff)

The six occupants of the cave clambered into their home. The little boy was guided to his small bed in an alcove by the curly haired girl. She helped the boy to bed and pulled the makeshift curtain down to block the fire light. She stepped back out into the main chamber with the others.

"Star?" she was suddenly addressed. "Did you feel it?"

"Yes. He's mine." Star quietly whispered.

"I figured. You know Max won't allow him to be human." He said.

"I know David. He needs the choice. Max took the choice from all of us." Star said, "What about those girls? I saw you looking at her David."

"Yeah, man." Marko voiced.

All eyes turned to David. He sort of froze. That girl with the electrifying eyes. She was like a magnet. He could smell her blood under her skin, and it called him. Not to drink her dry but to come to her, to be hers. And for David that was scary. He was afraid of being someone's. Max already owned them, and there was not anything they could do about it. If he died, they died. He was also afraid of having a weakness that Max could use against him.

"Is she yours David?" Star asked.

"Yes." He answered quietly.

"Mine too." Marko said and came to David's side.

"Her sister is mine." Dwayne murmured.

"Seriously?" Paul said, "The red head is mine too."

They all shared a look. Marko grabbed Star's hand and pulled her forward. She was one of them. Max made sure that she was one of them. He had forced her into this life with them. He had wanted a "daughter", a siren to help feed them all. Star was beautiful and looked so helpless, she was perfect bait to lure in the unsuspecting. But she rebelled. Max took Laddie from his loving home and made him a half vampire to force Star to behave.

"We can not let Max know." David stated.

Four heads of varying shades nodded in agreeance. Max did not need to know. It was time to plan and get their ducks in a row.

AN: Alright as you can see, I did make a few changes. I will have upcoming chapters with more dialogue and more personality. These were just my beginning builders.
