Author has written 5 stories for Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket, My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア, Haikyu/ハイキュー, and Harry Potter. Hello there! I'm StarlightNALU, but I also go by the name Suzume. If you're referring to me in a review you can use either. I'm a huge lover of anime, manga, writing, music (I play the viola and the piano), slam poetry (because metaphors told in rhythm... just yes), and Kpop. I also love to read, but find myself too distracted by anime and manga to really get into a good novel ... Lol. I would list my favorite animes, but it'd take me an eon and lots of typing. My Favorite: Food: ummmmm, is "everything" an acceptable answer? Color: Orange or Blue Animal: Hummingbird Candy: that's the saddest question ever. Don't make me choose, you monsters. Song/Piece: Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto (D major) and Dvorak's New World Symphony mvt.4 have to tie on that Number: 7 Word: Indubitably Day: Wednesday Month: April (because of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) Music Genre: Classical Writing/TV Genre: Romantic comedy After School Activity: Working on a new story prompt/sleep Instrument:Oboe Composer: Frederic Chopin (actually, maybe Tchaikovsky. Or maybe Brahms. Or Dvorak. It's a tough pick) Ballet: Uhh, probably "Alice in Wonderland" because I really really really like the Mad Hatter tap sequence. (If you haven't seen that, go check that out it's pretty awesome). Random Quotes I Like (I will add more to this as I find more quotes): "'I love you' feels like knives coming out of my throat. Yours were the first cuts I was willing to bleed for." -Unknown "Little girls with big ideas are much scarier than monsters." -Clementine Von Radics "I'm so lucky we lived through who we were to become who we are." -Neil Hilborn "When she broke your heart did she also crack your spine so you would always fall in her direction?" Lauren Bullock "Because even a person who's smart, can listen to their heart, can listen and believe." -Elle Woods from "Legally Blonde: The Musical" "Give life's little guys some ink, and when it dries, just watch what happens." -Katherine Pulitzer from "Newsies: The Broadway Musical" An Update: (As of 5/4/2020) Hello! Still StarlightNALU, but with a lot of character growth, hopefully for the better. Occupation: I'm currently a student (still) I write where I can and when I can, but updates might be sporadic. You might get several chapters at once and then have a dry spell. I'll do what I can to avoid this, but again, refer to the above occupation making my life busy. I'm still a musician. I still play viola (quite a lot now, actually. I'm playing inside and outside of school, as both an ensemble musician and a soloist with my private tutor). I, unfortunately, write a lot less than I used to, just because of time and school and "student life is hard." Unfortunately, I don't take PMs, just, the Internet scares me and it's not that I think any of you are masked machete murderers, but I am also paranoid of masked machete murderers so... yeah. What's changed? Not much and a lot at the same time. Life does that, I think. Anyway, if anyone for some reason made it this far in reading my profile and/or is following my stories, thanks for sticking around. I still love reviews (think I mentioned that above, but it's worth mentioning again) and don't be afraid to give constructive criticism. -StarligtNALU Some things to know about my stories (as of 7/5/2020) In General: I write OC stories. For the most part, fanfiction is a way for me to have fun writing while practicing character development. Having the foundation of another fictional piece to work with makes it easier for me to focus my writing on the development of my one or two OCs and how they change the already-established dynamic of canonical work. There are certain characteristics which almost all of my OCs have. Many of my OCs are either former dancers or former musicians, and honestly, this is simply because these are fields that I'm familiar with and thus have to do less research on to write. It's a habit I'm trying to break, but so far, it's made for some interesting content with my stories, so for now, that's just something you might notice. I try not to write self-indulgent, reverse-harem stories (well-written or otherwise), but if I ever do, I will be sure to let you guys know that that's my plan. Of Music, Mice, and Princely Men: Updates are sporadic. I try to update every 2-3 weeks, but sometimes workload or health gets in the way. However, this story is still active. An Average Hero: (this is that self-indulgent reverse-harem story I was talking about) Updates are sporadic. Maybe update once to twice a month, maybe more, maybe less depending on how much I've written. I'm less committed to this story (it's more of one I'm doing purely as a self-indulgence) but I do have a pretty extensive plan for how it'll pan out. Still active. Our Vast Oceans: Once again, sporadic updates. This one I really and truly threw out on a limb, but it's an interesting concept and I will probably keep writing for it. That said, it is one of my lower-priority stories since OMMPM and AAH are still active. Concerto of Moonlight: Permanently discontinued (sorry, this one was a middle school phase that I haven't touched in 4 years. I honestly have no idea what I was doing or where I was going.) I'm leaving it up only because I, as a reader, hate when stories get taken down from sites, even when they're discontinued. Future Work? Toying with the idea of a Harry Potter/Ouran crossover for the pure sake of Hitachin and Weasley twin shenanigans. Have a Haikyuu (Tsuki/OC) fic in the archives, but I want to flesh that out more before I start posting. (Our Vast Oceans is actually an AU fic of this fic, loll). If any of you are currently reading "Of Music, Mice, and Princely Men" or "An Average Hero" and would like to see either of these things, let me know in your next review (unfortunately, for privacy's sake, my PMs are closed) |
