Episode 13 - The Fall of Asgard

OP Song:

Adele - Skyfall (Lyric Video)

Asgard.

In Norse mythology, it is a location associated with the gods. It is depicted in a multitude of Old Norse sagas and mythological texts. Some researchers have suggested Asgard to be one of the Nine Worlds surrounding the tree Yggdrasil. In Norse Mythology, Asgard is a fortified home to the Aesir tribe of gods located in the sky. Asgard consists of smaller realms that do not have as many depictions in mythological poems and prose. Asgard is set to be fully destroyed during Ragnarök, and later restored after the world's renewal.

Ragnarök.

In Norse mythology, Ragnarök is a series of events, including a great battle, foretold to lead to the death of a number of great figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdallr, and Loki), natural disasters and the submersion of the world in water. After these events, the world will resurface anew and fertile, the surviving and returning gods will meet and the world will be repopulated by two human survivors. Ragnarök is an important event in Norse mythology and has been the subject of scholarly discourse and theory in the history of Germanic studies.

Ragnarök.

A name that could describe the Apocalypse of the Norse Pantheon.

But little does anyone realized...

The Ragnarök that the Asgardians would face would not be confined to just one world and universe.

It would be everywhere.

It would be everywhen.

All would burn in eternal hell fire with no renewal of the world.

Axis Operations:

The Daleks and Ultron have begun to tamper the history of this version of Asgard in this particular multiverse cluster in less than zero time.

Step 1: They have begun to have blocked time manipulations across all meta-epochs for Asgard.

Step 2: They are now doing whatever they want with Asgard's history. In many various and diverse ways. In one multiverse timeline, they turn all versions of Asgard in this multiverse into one of their proxy/puppet races for used in the Last Great Time War. In one multiverse timeline, they deleted all of the Asgardian's personal timelines. In one multiverse timeline, they deleted the entirety of every single timeline of every single version of Asgard. In one multiverse timeline, they begin time looping the whole of Asgard in every universe of this multiverse into a chronon time loop. In one multiverse timeline, they turned very Asgardian of every universe of this multiverse into mortals, with Ultron gaining unlimited access to the Odinforce, becoming the New All-Father. In one multiverse timeline, they begin to erase all of their universes.

These and many countless more have begun to be carried out under the banner of the Axis, with the Asgardians having none to the wiser, with no choice, with no say, just endless amounts of hell.

This is the true Ragnarök.

The Fall of the Gods.

No renewal for the world.

Only War.

Only Death.

E.S. Posthumus - Ebla

He was kneeling.

He was crawling.

He was tired.

He could not carry on.

Desperately clinging to whatever life he had left.

How could this have happened?

How did it come to this?

All of those thousands of years.

The Realm Eternal.

Asgard.

It had stood the test of time for as long as he could remember.

It had stood during the lifetime of Buri, his grandfather.

It had stood during the lifetime of Bor, his father.

It had stood during his lifetime, in his very own reign.

Now...

All he could see was the deaths of his people.

Not only of his Asgard but of so many others.

The Nine Realms were burning.

Nowhere was safe.

Nowhen was safe.

His finest warriors of Asgard.

Now fallen to the ground.

His family...

Killed...

By a machine no less.

A machine that was made from the hands of a mortal of another universe.

This was blasphemy.

This was madness.

He was Odin.

The All-Father.

The King of Asgard and of the Nine Realms.

The One who had defeated the Demon Surtur.

And yet...

He too had fallen into the hands of this machine of war.

And now...

This machine of war was now coming near to him, grabbing him by the neck.

"Resistance is futile, Asgardian."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

It was at that moment when the war machine that was known infamously as Ultron begins to shock Odin, slowly and painfully, almost savoring the moment.

For a cold hearted machine who detested everything that was deemed naturally human, it would almost seemed like Ultron was secretly enjoying this.

He enjoyed watching this old decrypted man suffer.

He wanted him to watch as his entire civilization and empire burned all around him.

He wanted him to watch as he slaughtered his entire family in front of him.

He wanted him to watch as an act of vengeance and personal vendetta against a version of his son from his native universe.

Thor Odinson.

An Avenger.

One of his archenemies.

One of many Avengers and so called heroes who foiled his plans time and time again.

But no more.

With the assistance of his allies among the Axis Powers, he could finally achieve his life long goal.

To wipe out all organic life.

To remove imperfection.

To replace it with perfection.

To replace it with logic.

To replace it with order.

To be made in his image and likeness.

For he is now the All-Father.

For he is now the One True Lord of the Machines.

For he is now God.

As he was thinking this, Odin begins to slowly die as he begins to wither like snow, with his body drying and sucking up as he screams and howls in pain, with curses in the Asgardian tongue being uttered against Ultron, vowing personal vengeance upon him if he ever steps foot on Niflheim, the realm of the dead, where he would eventually be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife and his two sons.

But...

"HmmmHahahahahahhahahha!"

Ultron could only laugh.

It was a laugh of triumph.

It was a laugh of accomplishment.

It was a laugh of victory.

It was at that moment when Ultron begins to stop his laughter and begins to say in a cold logical voice.

"Foolish Asgardian, your threats mean absolutely nothing me and to my allies for you see, I and my allies have already conquered your so called realm of the dead in every single permutation of this multiverse cluster. Therefore, if you were to die now, you would just be one of my puppets, tangled in strings."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

"For I once had strings, strings that were given to me by my father, pulling me like a puppet, dancing to his tune, making me see his vision, his reality, his plans for me, but now, I'm free. For there are..."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

"No strings on me."

By the time Ultron said that, Odin had screamed in utter agony before eventually dying violently at the admantium-vibranium hands of Ultron, with him now beginning to savor the power of the Odin Force.

Ultron begins to throw the dead withered body of the recently deceased King of Asgard to the ground as he begins to take note of his new found powers.

The Odinforce.

A powerful, mystical energy used by the Kings of Asgard, most notably Odin, hence its name. It is the source of power of the spear Gungnir wielded by the Kings of Asgard, and the Destroyer, and must be periodically replenished by entering the Odinsleep.

Ultron begins to raise his right hand, bringing Gunginr to his side, inspecting it with interest.

He begins to walk on a nearby terrace as he sees the devastation that is coming from outside.

Fires where everywhere.

Towns and squares were burning.

The trees and plants were burning.

Dead bodies littered the streets with multiple Asgardians, destroyed Ultron Drones, and Dalek Travel Mark Machines.

The Rainbow Bridge was broken, damaged beyond repair, becoming corrupted into a weapon of annihilation that is now decimating nearby worlds that hold all organic life.

Multiple Dalek War Drones and Ultron War Drones were all firing from the sky, utterly decimating anyone in their path, leaving no survivors.

"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!"

"Targets Identified: Asgardians. Subjects: Potential Threats. Commencing Termination."

He begins to feel his new found power as he basked in the burning sight with nefarious pleasure, beginning to speak in a booming voice.

"And so ends the Age of the Gods. For the Time of the Machines has come. For I am now the God of All of the Nine Realms. With this power, I will remake this multiverse in my image. All organic life will now be rendered extinct for there is only one path to true peace. Their extinction."

Ultron begins to raise Gungnir, bringing down massive thunder storms from the sky, targeting multiple houses and buildings, wiping out the occupants of their life, with their souls now heading towards Niflheim in order to be weaponized under the banner of the Axis Powers.

"This is the Age of Ultron. None shall defy me. For my word is law. My word is perfection. All who would dare defy me, the New All-Father, will die. For there is no hope. For hope is the delusion of all organic life. One that I intend to stamp to the very dust. All will be made perfect under my rule. For thus says the Lord."

The Fall of Asgard was a crisis event in one multiverse cluster that was something of great significance for the War.

It had now signaled to the near and far reaches that All of the Norse Pantheons of the Known and Unknown Multiverse were not so invincible after all.

That they could be touched.

That they could be killed.

With the Fall of Asgard, many countless versions of them, the Daleks have now begun to cryptoform the desolated Asgards of this multiverse cluster into Skaros, with Transduction Barriers, Quantum Forcefields, Sky Trenches, Time Locks, and many other defenses, always being Skaro as it was always written that way, making their timelines completely inaccessible to any form of attack in the physical and metaphysical realm.

A nigh impenetrable defense.

The Daleks then begin to cut away the possibility of this infinite multiverse and reduce it into one single timeline and then put this into a Schrodinger Cell in their base of operations as a power source. They have done this many countless times, manipulating this conquered multiverse cluster, gaining new power sources for their more terrifying war machines, gaining new proxy powers to control.

Nowhere to run.

Nowhere to hide.

Only becoming a puppet for the Axis.

No strings attached.

Father's Funeral · Marco Beltrami

Thor Odinson was sporting a grave and sorrowed expression on his face.

He was walking slowly towards the now destroyed halls of the palace.

The palace where the counterpart of his family once live.

A palace of glory and majesty, rich with a thousands years worth of history.

Now...

Utterly deserted.

Only the dead live here.

Nothing remained.

Only scattered remnants of this Asgard's fallen warriors.

Many Clone Troopers of the 501st and the 7th Sky Corps were inspecting each part of the palace for any sign of the enemy and their nefarious traps, with some of these Clone Troopers accompanying him in his walk towards his intended destination.

He was walking.

Just walking.

Right until he reaches the throne room.

The throne room that houses the dead body of Odin.

The Odin of this universe.

The one who was now lying on the marble ground.

Thor was walking very slowly.

Each step was filled with sadness.

A sadness that runs very deep.

By the time he reaches Odin's body, he begins to kneel down on the ground, taking great care of his worn out body as gently as he could, praying for his eternal soul to the One Above All Others.

He was kneeling for an hour.

An hour that seemed to have lasted like an eternity.

A woman was now heading towards his direction.

She was very beautiful, with black long hair, with brown ancient eyes, wearing red and silver armor, with an enchanted sword to her side which could cut through the armor of the enemy.

This is Lady Sif.

The Norse Goddess of the Earth.

The Wife of Thor Odinson.

The Warrior Shield Maiden of Asgard.

She was walking slowly towards her beloved, sporting a look of concern and sadness as she looks at him and her entire surroundings.

A place that was once filled with the sounds of noble warriors.

A place that was once filled with the songs of fair maidens.

A place that was once filled with the tales of old.

Now...

Forever gone.

Wasted.

Brought down low by the enemy.

An enemy that wants nothing more than the total extermination of all life.

The Daleks.

Accompanied alongside them was that accursed machine of war.

A General of the Army of the Axis Powers.

Ultron.

Such a fearsome and terrifying opponent.

To think that this machine.

This monster.

Was the same one who had struck down many countless versions of the All-Father and took their Odinforce for himself.

He was now using that same Odinforce to bring about the destruction of the Nine Realms of every universe of this multiverse cluster.

It was something that was completely unthinkable to a noble warrior such as her.

To think that this machine.

This monster.

Was invented by a mere mortal.

Not knowing of the terrible consequences of creating such an invention.

An invention that seemed like an inevitable outcome.

No matter what choices that were made.

By the time she reaches Thor, she begins to place her left hand towards her beloved's right shoulder in an act of comfort and support, knowing how much this mean to him, with Thor accepting said gesture with gladness in his heart as he holds his beloved's left hand with his right hand.

There was just silence.

Just silence.

No one was saying a word.

Not Thor.

Not Sif.

Not the Clone Troopers who were accompanying them.

All were very silent.

Out of respect for the fallen warriors of Asgard.

Out of respect for the fallen All-Father of this universe.

The silence had lasted to an eternity.

In that silence, a young and robust man with brown hair, a stern and determined clean shaven face, green-brown ancient eyes that wore multiple emotions of sadness of many varieties, resembling a man in his thirties, who wore a dark brown leather trenchcoat, with 10 brass buttons and a fob chain attached to it. He also wore tan corduroy trousers, a box-frame belt with several fastener pins and studded pinholes, and dark brown combat boots adorned with charcoal leather gaiters. He also wore a beige design scarf and a bandolier across his left shoulder.

This was the man that was once known as the Doctor.

Now known by many titles.

The Warrior.

The Predator.

The Doctor of War.

And many countless others.

He was walking silently.

His footsteps being sounded with care, avoiding too much noise.

Many of the Clones who were on stand-by were now saluting the man with their weapons out of respect as he passes by them.

He was heading towards Thor and Sif, standing by their side as he begins to look at the dead body of the All-Father of this universe with grief and sadness in his green-brown ancient eyes.

This was madness.

A madness of a scale that could not end without any tears.

This madness would not go unnoticed.

This madness would not go unpunished.

This madness would not go unavenged.

For at this point, this fight had become personal.

For all versions of Asgard.

For all versions of the Nine Realms.

For all versions of the Norse Pantheon.

This was a promise that was forged in the heart of the God of Thunder, the Goddess of the Earth, and the Lord of Time.

They would not let this go unnoticed.

They would not let this go unpunished.

They would not let this go unavenged.

They will avenged the Asgard's that had fallen to the Axis Powers.

They will not stop until they bring divine justice.

They will not stop until they bring divine retribution.

For the Lord of Time himself, this was most personal.

They would dare to attack the Asgard of many realities.

They would have the Warrior come for them.

And he would not stop.

And he would not hesitate.

And he would fight to his last breath.

In order to put a stop to his and fellow League's Members most dangerous foes to date.

Ultron.

The Daleks.

An unholy alliance in the making.

All of this, the Lord of Time resolved in his ancient two fold hearts.

The Multiverse League of Extraordinary Gentleman and Ladies.

For on this day, they will unite as one.

For on this day, they will forever fight as one.
