Vlad had been secretly practicing some of these spells via paper glyphs. He was originally doing so in the Emperor's Coven Theatre but was forced to leave after hearing footsteps. Those footsteps belonging to an Amity in tears. He decided to return to the school to search for Penelope with no luck. During his time exploring the school, he recalled passing by an illusion track class. He thought that there was some illusion that was blocking him from seeing any telltale signs of Penelope being present in the academy. But he didn't have any knowledge on how to do illusions. However, he did have knowledge on his ghost abilities. If he couldn't do illusion spells himself, he'd find someone that could. And he knew the perfect person: The illusion track teacher himself. After finding and overshadowing him, he looked through an assortment of illusion spells in a book he had found in the back of the classroom. Finding the one that Penelope most likely used, which was a blind eye spell, he performed it again, sweeping the area to make things that weren't visible to him before, visible to him now.
He was able to see the flyers and the guidance counselor office next to the detention track room. He entered the room, and there was Mabel.
"An illusion spell. Good, but not good enough." Vlad told her.
She took off her glasses. "I'm afraid we haven't met."
"Vlad Masters. But it doesn't matter who I am. You'll be back in the ghost zone soon enough. Mabel or should I say 'Penelope.'"
"Then I'm afraid you'll have to see the door." Penelope said, giving up her disguise, preparing for a fight.
"I am curious. You were able to convince all these students to come in willingly. How?"
"Well, it was easy. You see, after I successfully got the job here with the interview. I decided to secretly overshadow the Principal here to access the school records of every student that goes here. Once they told me what their problem was I was able to push their buttons enough to make them depressed. Now their youth feeds me." Penelope said flourishing with power.
He noticed the machine that held the students' siphoning spirits. "Interesting."
"We both seek the destruction of Danny Phantom, correct?"
"You know of him?"
"Know of him? He is the only person standing in my way of claiming what I want!" Vlad told her, abandoning his cool demeaner for the first time since he started speaking to her.
"Then, we have a common goal. We destroy Danny, and I will allow you to feed on the spirits of the youth to enhance your power as well."
Vlad returns to his cool demeanor and places his hands back behind his back. "Agreed. In exchange, I will share with you the spells that I have learned during my time spent with Danny and his friends. And I know exactly how to draw them here." Vlad told her smiling.
Danny and his friends returned to Hexside. Danny, Eda and Lilith would search for Penelope. Luz and Amity would keep the students in spirit, and Sam would get Tucker, Willow, Gus and Jazz.
Sam found Tucker in the library, still talking to Bo.
"You were an actual ghost? How was it?" Bo asked.
"How was it? It was awesome! It felt like I was in a superhero movie! I got to kick bad guys' butt and I got to save some people too."
"Why'd you give it up?"
"Well, I was being a jerk to Danny and the others to be honest. But, the strong minded guy I am I was able to take it like a man and overcome that feeling of jealousy. Even so, I kinda thought 'The guys need me for my brains,' what good would a team be with two muscleheads? I mean come on, I've got the brains, Danny's got the powers and Sam has… well she really doesn't contribute but she's there for emotional support I guess."
"Wow, you really are a cool guy!"
"Yep. I should show you my amazing tech skills next."
"Tucker." Sam said, standing behind Tucker.
Tucker turned around. "Oh, hey Sam! I was just telling Bo about you!"
"Yeah! He said you don't really contribute. But you've got emotional support." Bo told her.
Tucker laughed nervously. "I was just kidding around about that. You understand right?"
"Yeah. It's just a joke." Sam pulls Tucker by the ear. "Let's go Romeo."
"Ow! Wait, Sam I didn't give her my number! I'll see you later!" Tucker said as he was being pulled away.
Bo waved at him.
Back in the school, Sam was still pulling tucker by the ear. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Sam we're back in the school, you can stop now."
"Oh, sorry about that. I was trying to prove I could contribute in the strength department too."
"You aren't really mad about the whole no contribution thing earlier are you? 'Cause it seems like you are."
"No, of course not."
"Whew! At first I thought you were really steamed about that."
"Come on, we've got to get Jazz and the others. Danny's about to find Penelope."
Sam found Willow and Gus, with the two deciding that they would be more help with Luz and Amity trying to keep the students' spirits up with their magic. The halls were empty. Everyone was still in the lunch room, moving sluggishly, even though lunch had ended over 10 minutes ago. And it was there that Amity, Luz, Willow and Gus would attempt to keep the spirit of Hexside academy alive.
As they were attempting to perform an assortment of tricks to keep the students entertained, Principal Bump and the Hall Monitors had entered the cafeteria.
"What is going on here?!" Principal Bump asked. He spotted Luz.
"Luz! I am disappointed but I should have known it was you that instigated all of this! But Amity, you of all people should know to follow the rules. But I guess spending time with Luz has caused her to influence you to make bad decisions. Lunch ended over ten minutes ago! EVERYONE RETURN TO CLASS AT ONCE!"
"Princy-B, wait! I can explain!" Luz said.
"Should we send her to the detention track?" One of the Hall monitors asked.
"No, not yet. I want to hear her out."
"Something is wrong at the school. Look at the students. ALL of them are depressed. Not a single one is showing any emotion at all. We're doing this to bring some spirit back in the school. There's more going on than you know, but that's all I can tell you right now."
"I can vouch for her Principal Bump. She's trying to do the right thing. When this is over, we'll go back to class. You have my word." Amity told him.
Principal Bump sighed. "All right. I don't really understand what's happening here, but maybe its best that I don't understand. Carry on. Amity, Luz, keep up the good work. Make Hexside proud!" Principal Bump and the Hexside guards left the cafeteria.
Danny, regrouped with Sam, Tucker, and Eda and Lilith all go to face Penelope. Before Danny can put his plan in motion, Vlad appears.
"Vlad? Where were you?" Danny asked, suspicious.
"Trying to find a way in. She was using an illusion spell, which was why I couldn't spot her before. The door to her office is this way. But she took Jazz. I… came back here to get help."
"You? Asking for help? Either you're not the real Vlad or you're lying. You're telling me you couldn't handle her yourself?"
"Unfortunately, no. Believe me, if I could, I would have made quick work of her without the help of any of you. But her power has increased. I hate to say it but, stronger than even me. To win, we'll need a combined assault."
"Lead the way then." Danny was still suspicious. He felt like they were entering a trap. As they entered the door, the guidance office that was there before was gone. Instead, the room was a dark red as Jazz was tied up with her mouth covered.
"Welcome to my office Mr. Phantom! How about you and your friends grab a chair so we can chat?"
"We can chat when you're back in the ghost zone."
Penelope pretended to be taken aback. "How rude! Then I guess it's time I taught you some manners!" She changed into her true form, manifesting youth spirits that she captured into ninjas that would fight with her. Her true form was even more powerful than before, with the same outfit as before except with a black biker's jacket with purple flames and spikes on the shoulder pads over the black v-neck crop top. Her boots had purple flames instead of green ones. Her hair had become purple, and was let down. Her earrings had changed to green lightning bolts and unlike before, she retained her glasses. This time, being black semi-circle shaped sun shades. As she put them on, they glistened.
"Vlad and I will take care of Penelope and the ninjas! You guys get Jazz!" Danny told them.
"Actually, that won't be necessary." Vlad told them. He began using a glyph that grew a plant that grabbed Jazz.
"Aha! You betrayed us! I knew taking Vlad with us was a bad idea when I saw y-" Tucker stopped himself when he saw that the plant was taking Jazz to safety.
"What I meant to say was I knew taking Vlad with us was a good idea when I saw you taking notes."
Sam took the tape off of Jazz's mouth. "You okay?"
"Yeah. Thanks."
One of the ninjas tried to throw a chain rope to wrap around Vlad, but he grabbed it and used the rope to pull the ninja forward. He was able to punch him back so hard, he landed into the wall, releasing the spirit and causing it to go back to a student.
Penelope and three ninjas surrounded Danny. They were all in a stand-off, waiting for someone to make the first move. It was one of the ninjas. He pulled out a katana. Danny was able to contort his body to the left to dodge the first slice, and ducked to dodge a straight lunge. The other two ninjas decided to converge on Danny. Two of the ninjas decided to strike together with their katanas. He ducked just in time to dodge attacks from both sides. To avoid accidentally hitting each other, they paused, giving Danny the time he needed to move back a little, stand up at punch both of them with his left and right knuckles respectively in their face, knocking them back. The third ninja had a bo staff, spinning it rapidly to prepare to fight. He used the staff to vault himself forward for a kick, causing Danny to duck. The ninja's foot landed on the wall, and he recovered, landing on two feet perfectly.
Penelope fired an explosive disk of energy, to which Danny countered with one of his own. The ninja with the bo staff had attempted to whack Danny on top of the head, but Danny dodged to his right. Before he could recover, he pulled the staff down, and then let go of it, allowing it to strike the ninja right in the face. Reeling from the pain, he walked right into Vlad, who was easily dispatching the ninjas. Only 5 remained. Vlad blasted the ninja with the bo staff in the back, sending him into the wall. He was able to recover however, using his hands to stop the impact. The ninja spun the bo staff again, ready to attack and charged at Danny, who was in a struggle with Penelope.
Vlad, picked up one of the ninjas with nunchaku by the throat and threw him towards the ninja with the Bo staff. The ninja with the nunchaku met his demise as a result. The staff ninja was on the ground trying to regain his senses as Tucker was standing over him about to deliver the final punch. The ninja had went intangible and Tucker's hand went right through the ninja, allowing him to recover and restrain Tucker. One of the other ninjas that Vlad had knocked out had tried to go for Sam, but was stopped by Eda with her owl staff.
"I may not have magic, but I can still fight."
"Guys! Help!" Tucker said.
"Tucker!" Danny called.
Penelope took the opportunity to hit him with an electro-kinetic blast, knocking Danny down. She followed this up by summoning a hand out of purple ecto-energy and slammed Danny into the wall twice. He was on the ground and was cornered by Penelope, who was about to deal the final blow before Vlad had stopped her, knocking her into the ninja with Tucker, who had to free Tucker to get out of the way. Eda had made quick work of the ninja that she was fighting as she got him in the chest. With no weapon to defend himself with, there was nothing he could do. The spirit was freed and returned to the student, restoring their happiness. Only the ninjas with the swords and bo staff were left.
"Thanks." Danny said, trying to regain his vision and composure, until he realizes who saved him. "Vlad? You saved me?"
"What does it look like Daniel?" Vlad asked.
"Thanks. I feel weird even saying that to you right now." Danny said.
Lilith had attempted to take on both of the katana ninjas herself, which worked out well in the beginning until they started using their ghost powers along with their skills to overwhelm her. One of them had kicked her onto the ground. They raised their swords for the final blow. Lilith closed her eyes, ready to meet her fate before Eda saves Lilith by knocking them both back with her owl staff.
"Thank you." Lilith said as Eda helped her up.
"Hey, what are sisters for? Besides I owed you one for saving me from Emperor Belos."
They smiled and prepared to fight together against the ninja with the bo staff. Eda taunted the ninja with a bring it gesture and the three fought.
It was Danny and Vlad against the katana ninjas and Penelope. The ninjas attempted to attack together again, but Danny and Vlad were too much for the two. Back-to-back, the ninjas charged at the two but they took to the air at the last second. The ninjas stopped in their tracks to stop from impaling each other, but it was too little too late. The time that they used to stop was all the time Danny and Vlad needed to blast them both into nothing. Skara and Amelia had returned to normal.
Eda and the ninja had clashed in a staff battle. They matched each other blow for blow. When Lilith tried to step in to attack, the ninja had either dodged or tried to counter with the bo staff. "This isn't working!" Lilith told Eda. "We need to try something else!"
Eda nodded. As the ninja charged at them for a leaping kick and overhead bo staff slam, Eda was able to dodge the attack by sliding under the attack. The ninja had kept his eyes on Eda. Eda had swung at the ninja's right side and missed. The ninja and Eda's staff had collided again, with Eda having to doge a sudden lunge at her head by the ninja with the staff. She hopped back a little. Thinking he had Eda on the ropes, he advanced, using his staff as a mechanism to defend his advance as well. Eda kept blocking until she felt a rhythm for the ninja's attacks. As she was about to back herself into a wall, she dodged the next attack and threw her staff at Lilith, who was behind the ninja. The ninja was so occupied on Eda that he didn't even notice, even though she wasn't close to him enough to make the ninja attack back. Lilith had took the staff and lunged it into the ninja's chest, causing it to dissipate into nothing. Boscha had returned to normal.
"What happened? I had a horrible dream that was I stood up and had no friends, because I wasn't popular."
"Glad you're awake. Take a look who's at the front!" Skara told Boscha.
"Huh?" Boscha had saw Luz. She had to admit that she was pretty impressed that she was able to pull of those type of effects with her magic with just paper glyphs. Luz herself was able to use her light spell and illusion glyphs to create different illusions and special effects including fireworks, and even a light show.
"She's good. Wouldn't you agree Boscha?" Amelia asked.
"Yeah, she's gotten better. She still has a long way to go but… she has gotten better." Boscha said with her arms folded, still watching.
Penelope looked around. She was all alone and was surrounded by Eda, Lilith, Danny, Vlad, Tucker, Sam, and now Jazz. "You're done Penelope." Danny told her.
"It doesn't matter! I still have one secret weapon!" Penelope said, smiling. Vlad had come to her side.
"Vlad. I should have known you wouldn't keep your word." Danny said, preparing to fight.
"You should know me better than that Danny. Let your guard down at your peril." Vlad said, smiling before knocking Penelope down with an unexpected back attack.
"What? But, I thought you were Danny's enemy?" Penelope said, shocked. Danny was equally as shocked.
"I am. But I'm also a man of my word. I made a promise and I intend to keep that promise." Vlad told her as he and Danny nodded at each other.
"Class is dismissed." Danny said as he and Vlad combined electro-kinetic blasts to defeat Penelope for good.
"Nooooooooo!" Penelope said as she was hit. She had become old and frail now that she lost all of the misery of the students.
Back at the cafeteria, the other students were returning to normal.
"They did it." Luz said. "They did it!" Luz and the others jumped for joy high-fiving each other, with Luz and Amity hugging. Amity had turned red after that.
Everyone had the energy to clap for the astounding performance Luz and the others displayed. Unfortunately that joy wouldn't last long as they would all have to return to class.
Danny and the others had taken Penelope back to the Principal Bump's office.
"What in the world? What happened to Mabel?" He asked as he looked down at how old and frail she had become.
"She was the one that was stealing the youth of the students, sir. That's why everyone back at the cafeteria felt depressed and didn't go to class." Luz said.
"And her name isn't Mabel. It's Penelope." Danny told him.
"Is this true?" Principal Bump asked Lilith. As she once was with the emperor and was a model student in Hexside, he knew he could trust her word the most, even after her banishment from the coven. Lilith nodded.
"Well, in that case." Principal Bump had used his magic to stamp fired on a scroll that he had and burned it. "Penelope." He started. "YOU'RE FIRED!" Principal Bump had said in a voice so imposing and enforcing that once he said it, you know he meant it and it was final.
Penelope had tried to respond, but she was so weak she could barely be heard.
"Thank you, Luz. And to the rest of you. Thank you all." Principal Bump said, truly grateful and shook their hands. As such, he provided the four with an honorary Hexside uniform with his seal of honor. Principal Bump snapped his fingers as uniforms appeared in front of the four. These were the same uniforms that Luz wore but also had the same blue stole draped over it with a badge that had him giving a thumbs up.
"Eda? Lilith? Vlad?" Bump had asked, preparing to give them something as well.
"No thank you." Vlad responded.
"No thank you, sir. Your gratitude is enough." Lilith responded.
"No thanks Bumpikins. Hearing you say thanks to me is all I need." Eda said.
"Alrighty then." Principal Bump had said before sighing and rubbing his forehead. "In light of what transpired today, I will dismiss you all for the rest of the day. Come back tomorrow. Have a good rest of your day!" Principal Bump had said before getting ready to send the announcement to the rest of the school.
As they exited the school, Bo and Tucker had said their goodbyes. "So uh, I guess this is goodbye."
"Wait, you're leaving?"
"Yeah, I've gotta get back home. My parents will get worried if I don't. Maybe I'll come back. I still have to show you my gadgets and the wonderful world of entertainment."
"Really wanted to get some more stuff for the Human Appreciation Society. Plus, I really do mean it. You really are a cool guy Tucker Foley." Bo said before pecking Tucker's cheek. "I hope I see you again."
Tucker collapsed turned red and then collapsed. "See who?"
Danny simply shook his head.
"Hey! Danny!" Danny turned and saw Boscha.
"So, about that hanging out thing." Boscha said.
"Yeah. I've got to get home. I'm really sorry." Danny told her.
"Wait, you're standing me up?" Boscha said.
"No, that's not-" Danny started before Boscha started crying.
"I've never been stood up before! I've never even met someone as cute as you before either."
"No, that's not it." Danny told her.
Boscha had started sniffing. "No, it's okay. I understand. I'm just not cool enough for you to hang out with."
"That's not the reason either. I have to go home. My parents will be worried sick if I don't come back. Listen, I don't know if this'll make up for not being able to hang out with you but…" Danny had walked up and kissed Boscha on the cheek. She had turned red and started crying again.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"No, it's alright. I'm crying tears of joy! But now I'm crying tears of sadness again because you've got to go!" Boscha said as she started crying again.
"Bye Danny! I'll miss you!" Boscha told him. She started crying again and went to her Penstagram page to post about what happened, with crying emojis.
Danny and the others went to the Owl House to try and come up with a plan to get back home.
"So how are we going to get back home?" Danny asked.
"The only way back is the way you all came really. Without Lilith and I being powerless this is really the only option you guys have." Eda told them.
"So I guess this is goodbye then. Once you guys get in, we can't follow you without risking getting caught." Luz said.
"Yeah, I guess so." Danny responded.
Danny and Luz high-fived each other before hugging. They release each from the other's embrace.
"Good luck in trying to become a witch. Who knows, maybe we'll see each other again."
"Thanks. I know I've said this a lot already, but you're an awesome superhero. I'm glad I met you Danny Phantom. And count it, the next time we meet I'll be a master witch!" Luz said, smiling, pumping her fist.
"Hope that's soon. You don't know what you're missing back home with movies and shows Luz!" Tucker added.
"Yeah. But I'll catch up."
Luz and Sam looked each other in the eye.
"Listen, to be honest I really didn't like you at first. Not because of your personality, but because I was kind of…" Sam trailed off before whispering into Luz's ear "jealous of you."
"But now I realize you're a pretty cool girl to be around. You're yourself and you're not afraid of being that, even if everyone else doesn't really like you for it. I can respect a girl that isn't afraid to stand out from the crowd. You and me, we're kind of alike in more ways than you think. I'm not the most popular girl back home either. Good luck in your quest to become a witch."
"Thanks. And…" Luz trailed off to whisper in Sam's ear. "Good luck with Danny."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Sam asked out loud.
"I know you like Danny. As in 'like like' him." Luz said low enough out of earshot of anyone else
"What? That's not true." Sam looked back at Danny who was talking with Gus and Willow. Tucker had regained his senses and was talking with Bo, both agreeing that a long-distance relationship wouldn't work and would agree to be friends.
"Come on Sam, you can't try to hide that from me. I may be different, but I know how other girls think when it comes to certain things. I am the ultimate shipper after all. No seriously, I have a lot of fanfics for ships."
"Okay, you got me." Sam smiled then. "And… thanks. Maybe someday the bonehead will notice."
"Good luck on your journey to become a witch luz. Those healing spells are great. Wish I could learn them." Jazz told Luz after hugging.
"What's stopping you?"
"My dad. If he catches me doing magic, he'll think I'm a witch. I'll never hear the end of it then."
"Oh. Well that sucks."
"Tell me about it."
"Back to business, we've got a problem: How exactly are we going to be able to do that without getting spotted by the Emperor or his guards?" Jazz asked.
"Well, I can get all of you through, but since I don't exactly have four arms, I'd have to walk all of you through." Danny told them.
"Why can't Vlad help?" Luz asked.
"I promised I would bring Danny back. I could care less what happens to his friends." Vlad said.
"Of course." Danny said. Vlad had to be technical.
"Leave it to me then. I have an idea." Luz told them.
Luz, Eda and Lilith all looked at the entrance of Belos' palace as two guards were standing by.
"Kid, this has to be the worst plan I've ever seen. Even I don't think this is going to work." Eda told her.
"Trust me, it'll work you just have to stay positive." Luz told her.
"I am optimistic about a lot of things kid. This isn't one of them."
Lilith and Eda walked towards the guards.
"If it isn't the traitor and the criminal. What do you want?" The left guard said.
"We've come to overthrow the Emperor! Arrest us! If you can!" Lilith tried to taunt and then laughed. Lilith and Eda turned their heads towards Luz who gave a thumbs up in some bushes, who gave a thumbs up as a ready confirmation to Willow and Gus who were closer to the guards in a different set of bushes.
"Oh yeah, well how are you going to do that without any magic?" The left guard said again.
"Besides, we've got no reason to arrest you now, you're not a threat. You don't have magic anymore." The right guard said.
"That's what I just told them."
"Yeah, but you didn't tell them that the emperor has no reason to arrest them. You just said 'how are you going to do that without magic?'
"But how is what you told them any different? I asked them how are they going to do it without magic, because without their magic they're not a threat."
"You are so frustrating to work with sometimes man!"
"Well, you are too! Has anyone told you that?"
"No, no one has, because unlike you I'm not some smart aleck who goes around correcting people on technicalities that literally no one would even think about."
"Well excuse me for trying to be concise and not redundant!"
"I'm sorry, I didn't know this was language class!"
The guards had actually done their job for them. Their arguing allowed for Danny and the others to go invisible and slip undetected.
After traversing through the Emperor's lair for quite some time, sneaking past guards and Kikimora, they were able to find the door. Their only possible solution, as they had discussed before going to the castle was to try to leave the same way they came: Through the broken portal, that was almost complete even more so than the last time they were there. But the group didn't have time to figure out what that meant as they hurried and went through, before a freak accident happened. It actually worked. They were all back in the cabin. Vlad and Danny went back into their human selves before walking out of the cabin.
"Danny! Jazz! We had been worried sick!" Jack had told them.
"Your father and I were going to come back here every day until you guys came back, hoping Vlad would find you all and bring you back to us."
"And you guys caught the ghost! I knew you guys had Fenton blood in your veins!" Jack said, bringing the thermos and sucking Penelope in it.
"Thank you so much Vlad!" Maddie said as she hugged him.
"My pleasure Mrs. Fenton." Vlad wanted to stay in that embrace forever but he knew he couldn't. He wished that it was him with Maddie looking for their family, but it wasn't.
"Thanks a lot Vlad! I'm sure you're starving. How about you come inside and get some dung beetle stew? My treat!" Jack said shaking Vlad's hand.
"How could I refuse?" Vlad said. In reality, he wanted to refuse. But just this once, he didn't want to potentially hurt Jack's feelings.
"You don't mind if I take it to go do you? I have some very important business to take care of." Vlad asked him.
"Oh sure thing!"
After Jack finished preparing the dung beetle stew, he bagged it in a brown bag that of course had his face on it. He handed it to Vlad. "Thank you."
"Anytime Vlad!"
"Now unfortunately for you guys, we're going to have to end this camping trip early. We're out of dung beetle stew! So we're going to have to take you all home to eat. Plus, the Mansons and Foleys have been calling us. They've been threatening to sue and charge us for child neglect and abandonment if Tucker and Sam don't come back by the end of the day. See ya later Vlad! Come on kids!" Jack said.
They all hopped in the GAV, which sped off, mowing down some trees and probably an animal or two in the process. At one point, almost mowing down an entire bear family due to Jack's reckless driving.
Returning home, after getting real food to eat from the Nasty Burger, an idea of Jack to avoid being accused of malnutrition as well, Sam, Danny and Tucker were all on the sidewalk together before going their separate ways.
"It's been a crazy weekend. I'm just glad to be home back in my realm for once." Danny said.
"Absolutely. I still wish I could show Bo my tech stuff though. I could giver her some stuff to show to the Human Appreciation Society." Tucker told them.
"Maybe you should go back then." Sam joked.
"That's actually not a bad idea. But one, I'd need to figure out how to get back without Danny and two, I'm thinking about working on something that allows me to communicate across realms."
"Well, good luck with that. If you don't mind, I'm going to take a shower and then relax and play some games."
"Second that." Sam said. "I don't even wanna know how I smell."
"Thirded. Once I get out of the shower, I think I'll start working on stuff to get to the Boiling Isles afterwards."
"Are you also going to explain to Bo how I only provide emotional support?"
"Wait, are you SURE you aren't mad about what I said earlier?"
Sam turns Tucker's hat over to where he can't see again and then spins him to where he falls on the ground.

Back in the Boiling Isles at Night
"Hi, mom. Today was an eventful day. You know the superhero I talked about before? Well, he was kick-butt like I said he was. But my friends and I helped too, along with some friends of his as well. But everything wasn't all sunshine and roses. He actually started to doubt himself when he couldn't find the villain we were looking for. So I had to motivate him to get back up. Metaphorically of course. In the end, it was a team effort. We all contributed differently, but we all got the job done. Buenos noches mama." Luz pressed send.
Back at the emperor's palace, the emperor was on his throne, observing the portal. It was almost complete.
"It is almost time." The emperor said.

1: Spectra's alias Mabel Fermin as a reference to Gravity Falls and Bakugan. The first name of course being a reference to Mabel Pines and the last being the last name of the villain from season 2 of Bakugan Keith Fermin, who actually shares his alias name Spectra with Penelope.
2: The Ninjas, while they did appear in the actual Danny Phantom cartoon, are a reference to TMNT with their weapons. The only one missing being Raphael and his sai.
3: I originally was going to have Vlad actually betray them all after defeating Spectra and have him be trapped in the Boiling Isles, needing to find another way out. That way was actually going to be a method of convenience as a portal, from a completely separate story would have opened, allowing Vlad to secretly slip through.
4: Another thing I was considering was having one of Danny's friends fall behind and the window of the portal is closing. Vlad chooses to abandon them, but Danny, fighting with Vlad over leaving behind his friends is able to save them, leaving Vlad behind in the Boiling Isles. Vlad using the technicality of promising only to save Danny stems from that original idea.
5: For those wondering, Luz's plan was to have Willow and Gus use their magic to make it seem as if Lilith and Eda had their ability to do magic restored.
