I wrote this one right after the first chapter. Chapter 3 will most likely be here tomorrow.
Anne and her friends, Sasha, Marcy and Maggie, had just been visited by a man who calls himself Dipper. He seemed to know about their adventures and the adventures of others like them. He had been involved in events that took place in Gravity Falls, Oregon, almost 10 years prior. He had been on a quest to fix rifts in our dimension that could potentially bring about something...dangerous...
Anne had no clue what to think about this guy. He seemed...odd. It was clear that he had a passion for the strange and unusual.
"So, where is the Calamity Box now?" Dipper said.
"It's safe in Amphibia," Anne said. "King Andrias was the one who was using the box to try and conquer other worlds, but it's now in the hands of someone far more trustworthy."
"As long as the box isn't in the wrong hands, we should be fine," Dipper said. "But it's probably best you don't do a lot of traveling through the dimensions. These rifts are getting more frequent..." he looked down and whispered to himself, "and if he gets out..."
"Wait, if who gets out?" Anne said.
"Bill Cypher. He's been trying to come back for a while. He's a being that once threatened the entire world, but was able to be contained in the small town of Gravity Falls. If he ever does get out though, who knows what he'll do..."
"Bill Cypher?" Marcy remembered seeing a picture of a triangle with a top hat named Bill Cypher in a book she saw at the library. In that same book was a picture of the Calamity Box.
"You recognize that name?" Dipper asked.
"It was in a book I read...at the library..."
"We're gonna have to go to the library tomorrow, then," Dipper said. "I'll leave for now. I need to visit someone else anyway. I might also bring her tomorrow. This book may have information relating to her adventures as well."
Dipper went to get his coat and boats.
"I'll be at the library by 4pm," Dipper said. "See you all then."
Anne went back on the couch next to Marcy. Sasha stood next to the couch for a moment.
"You think maybe we should go with him tomorrow?" Anne asked.
"I don't know...there's something odd about him...how the hell does he know about all that? About the Calamity Box? About Amphibia? About all these other worlds?" Sasha at this point was pacing the room.
"He does seem to be an ally though," Marcy said, "so regardless of how he knows this stuff, we should at least hear him out."
Sasha thought for a moment. "Okay, I'll go with you guys. But if there's anything fishy, we bail. Understood?"
Anne and Marcy nodded. Maggie just sat there, utterly confused about what just happened.
The next day, Anne, Sasha and Marcy were at the library. Maggie couldn't make it this time because her cousin was having a birthday party. So it was just the three of them. They were a couple minutes early, so they browsed the shelves for a bit before spotting Dipper and a short haired Hispanic girl looking to be about their age.
"Hey, it's great that you could all make it," Dipper said. "This is Luz Noceda."
"Hey, Luz, I'm Anne Boonchuy, and these are my friends, Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu."
"Marcy?" Luz looked at Marcy. "Oh wow, it's been so long! You remember me?"
"Oh, yeah!" Marcy lit up with excitement. "Wow, I haven't seen you since I was in, like, third grade!"
"You know each other?" Dipper asked.
"Yea, Luz was my first friend, when I was at a different school," Marcy said. "When I moved...I lost contact with her..."
That explains so much, Anne thought. She's lost a friend before, and she didn't want it to happen again...
"So wait, what adventures have you been on?" Luz asked.
"We went to a place called Amphibia using the Calamity Box," Marcy said. "It's a world full of talking amphibians. It's quite a fascinating place."
"Amphibia, huh?" Luz found this interesting. "Well, I stumbled into a portal to the Demon Realm and went to a witch school called Hexside in the Boiling Isles..."
"And met me of course..." a voice said from behind Dipper. A girl with lavender hair stepped forward. "I'm Amity. Sorry, I was just trying to find the new Azura book. What'd I miss?"
"They've been on adventures in another world just like me!" Luz said with excitement in her voice.
Amity looked over at Anne, Sasha and Marcy. "Isn't she cute when she gets excited?"
Luz began to blush. "Ami!"
"What?" Amity said. "It's true!"
"Now that we've all been introduced, we need to find that book," Dipper said.
"Pst, buzzkill," Amity said.
They began searching through the library. Marcy eventually came across the book, titled, "Dr. P's Extraordinary Guide To Magic And Mystery."
"Guys, I found it!" Marcy yelled.
The librarian came over and shushed at Marcy.
"Sorry," Marcy whispered.
"Okay, let's take a look," Dipper said. He turned the pages and looked at each page with an intense look on his face. "It's just like I thought. Dr. P had to have been a colleague of my great uncle Ford. This book holds a lot of information about other realms. Information that can be vital to my mission."
"And what's that?" Luz asked.
"We need to repair the rifts caused by all of you traveling through dimensions and figure out a way to keep them fixed, or Bill Cypher could return..."
He flipped the pages until he came across the drawing of Bill Cypher.
"What happens if he returns?" Luz asked.
"Then Weirdmageddon will be unleashed worldwide...me and my family and friends were able to contain it within the small town of Gravity Falls ten years ago, but if one of these rifts become big enough, he could slip through, and that would be...bad for all of us."
"And...what about our friends that are in these other realms?" Amity asked.
"That's the hard part..." Dipper said. "We're gonna have to keep these portals closed, which means no going into the other realms..."
