Chapter 3 is here. Chapter 4 is currently being written.

"But we can't just leave them!" Luz said.

"I'm sorry guys, but you have no clue what we're up against!" Dipper said. "We have to prevent these rifts from getting wider!"

"And what, never see our friends again?" Amity said. "I just got Willow back! I can't..."

"There has to be another way, Dipper..." Anne said.

Dipper looked down. "I...don't know if there is another way...until we can find a way to stop Bill Cypher for good, none of us should do any dimensional traveling. It's too dangerous..."

"Who knows how long it would take to actually find a way to defeat something like that!" Luz said as she began to tear up. "I need to see Eda, and King...Willow and Gus..." Amity came over and held Luz.

Dipper sighed. I knew they wouldn't take this well.

"Breaking kids hearts, huh?" One of the librarians, a blonde girl looking to be about Dipper's age, came over. "I thought I knew you..." She winked at him.

"Pacifica? What're you doing here?" Dipper started to get flustered.

"I work here now," Pacifica said. "I got away from my family and decided to do what I wanted to do..."

"Wait, I've never known you to read books?" Dipper said.

"That's a side of me I've never shown," Pacifica said. "My parents would've never accepted me for who I actually am. They just wanted another pretty face...anyway, enough of my childhood trauma...if any of you need to check a book out, I'll be over here." She walked towards the register.

"As I was saying," Dipper said, desperate to get back on topic, "we should try to at least...limit transportation between realms...just until we can find a way to stop Bill for good. If Weirdmageddon is ever unleashed on this world, the only safe place for us would be in Gravity Falls. There's a barrier there that he can't penetrate. But that would mean the rest of this world and potentially other worlds would be at Bill's mercy..."

Luz had to think for a moment. Even if it's temporary, she was gonna miss her friends in the Boiling Isles terribly. But, such a threat shouldn't be taken lightly...

"I may need to let them know I'll be gone for a while," Luz said solemnly.

"How about you girls?" Dipper said to Anne, Sasha and Marcy, who were being very quiet.

"We don't have a way of going back anyway," Marcy said. "We'd have to find a way to get a message to Queen Olivia."

"I can take care of that," Dipper said.

"How?" Sasha said. "You don't have a..."

Dipper revealed a Calamity Box.

"No way! You have a Calamity Box?" Marcy yelled.

"Shh...yes, it was actually my great uncle Ford's. This is the one that was meant to be kept in this realm. When he found it, he wanted to keep it from falling into the wrong hands, so he kept it and...before he died, he gave it to me. The other was supposed to be in Amphibia, but it somehow ended up here."

"Why is there another one, though?" Anne asked.

"That's a mystery..." Dipper said.

"Did someone say...'mystery?'" An old man came from behind one of the shelves.

"Yes, Grunkle Stan, I said mystery...we're not here to advertise the Mystery Shack, you know..."

"Ooh, you guys have a mystery shack?" Luz said excitedly.

Dipper groaned. "Yea, we do..."

"Well, I definitely want to check that out," Luz said. "But maybe some other time. My mom probably needs me at home right now. I'll see you all some other time. Hey, Amity, you ready to go?"

"Just a second," Amity said. She walked towards the register. "How do I apply for a job here?"

"Aren't you a bit young to be working here?" Pacifica asked.

"I worked in the library in the Boi...I mean, in my old town..."

"Do they not have child labor laws in your old town?" Pacifica asked.

"I guess not..." Amity said nervously.

"Well, I can at least see you'd be experienced, so I can see if maybe you could volunteer to read to the kids or something. That's something you could do that wouldn't necessarily be against the law." Pacifica gave a small chuckle.

"Oh yea, I've read to kids before at my old library," Amity said. "I used to read Ottabin to them all the time."

"What's 'Ottabin?'" Pacifica asked. "I haven't heard of that one."

Oh crud, I don't think they have that one in the human realm... "Oh, I've also read the Azura books to the kids. They really like those."

"That one I have heard of," Pacifica said. "We just got the new one..."

"Yes!" Amity yelled. "I...I mean...yes, I'd like to get the new Azura book..."

"Right this way..."

"I'll be right back," Amity said. She planted a kiss on Luz's cheek and went over with Pacifica to find the book.

Luz blushed hard at this. "Oh, okay..."

"Well, while she's getting her book, I guess we could all pick something out," Dipper said. "I, for one, am taking this book home with me. This has info I need for my journal, and it could be very useful to us."

"Ooh, I think they just released a novelization of Vagabondia Chronicles, so I might go get that," Marcy said.

"What's that?" Luz said.

"Oh, you haven't lived until you played Vagabondia Chronicles! If I ask my mom, maybe I can come over some day and show you."

"Oh, sure!" Luz was excited to be able to hang out with her old friend again.

"Cool, maybe this Sunday, then?"

"Yea, that'll work!"

As they all went their separate ways for the day, Dipper and his great uncle Stan drove off. They were staying at a hotel for now. Dipper helped Stan out of the car and they went to their room. Dipper said goodnight to Stan as he went to bed. He was exhausted. He barely had any sleep lately.

Hours later, Stan was still awake. He couldn't sleep. He took out of photo of him and his brother, Stanford. And to think...I always thought you'd be the one to outlive me, Sixer... Stan thought, wiping the tears from his eyes. Why did you not tell me you were sick?
