Welcome back my friends.
This is chapter 2, where we finish out the high school section and enter the next one. This chapter is why the story is rated "M", and marks the last of the chapters that I already had typed up. So another update won't be the next day like this one was. But, back to regular life, ya know?
Anyway, on to chapter 2!
Day 63
I've started keeping this journal to try and keep myself sane during these troubling times.
Celebi is truly a sadistic pokémon. Not in an evil sort of way, but in the way that makes me want to pull my hair out. When I thought we were teleporting out of the high school world, what Celebi was actually doing was bringing me to another, nearly identical one. I don't even know what the difference is between this world and the last. Celebi said that it didn't matter, and that most were the same anyway.
All I was trying to do was sleep, and Celebi teleported into my room, and without so much as a moment's notice, took me and put me in some hellish high school world.
Thank Arceus we don't have high school in my dimension.
Everyone here is absolutely ridiculous. My "friends" here, May and Dawn, are copy-paste clones of each other. They laugh at everything I say, and cry whenever their respective boy toys don't give them the attention they want. When they aren't crying, they are blushing madly whenever their boys so much as look at them. Is that what I'm like with Ash? I hope not. Drew and Paul have no personality, and I have since wondered if the real versions of these boys in my dimension are really that dull.
Pokémon don't exist here, and I've since given up on trying to figure out how that works. I cannot imagine a world without pokémon, but it seems I've been put in one.
Ash here is…something else. I will say, when I first saw him hugging Misty, I was heartbroken. But then I started interacting with this dimension's Ash, and I lost all attraction to him. At least, this dimension's Ash. I still love MY Ash. Truthfully, the saying of "Never give up until it's over" from my Ash is the only thing keeping me going. Despite the universe treating him as if he is the coolest person in the world, this version of him is 1-dimensional, and has no personality. It seems like the only thing he can talk about is food, and whenever he tries to talk to me, he always makes some off-handed comment about how he is in love with me, and then expects me to have not heard him. He usually scurries off after that. I'm thankful that my Ash isn't like that. If anything, this whole experience with high school Ash has convinced me that I need to confess to my Ash as soon as I'm back. I miss him.
Calem…poor Calem. I'll admit, he's certainly an interesting guy. I can't see him as boyfriend material, but I will say, he has the worst luck I've ever seen in a person. Ever. He just keeps having terrible things happening to him. When I broke up with him, I kid you not, a giant bus flew out of nowhere and hit him.
I know.
I couldn't believe it either.
When I asked Celebi about it, it just responded with "I don't know. That's a very common thing among the dimensions." I don't think I'll ever understand why that happens, but it has happened many times. He never seems seriously injured by the buses. They just seem to hurt him at the most inopportune times. I have begun saying prayers every night for Calem. The poor guy can't even leave his house anymore without a stray bus hitting him and sending him back to the hospital to repair broken bones.
As for the meddling pokémon named Celebi? My relationship with it is strained, to say the least. It usually pops in to tease me whenever it gets the chance, but I've learned that it doesn't really mean me any harm. I found that out for sure when a gunman came into the school and kept me prisoner. Dramatic stuff like that happens all the time here for some reason, and always to me, but nobody seems to think anything of it. Anyway, Celebi stopped time and allowed me to escape. What's its goal? I have no idea. I can only hope that it won't keep me in this prison for much longer.
What is this place?
How long will Celebi force me to stay here?
Serena put her pen down and reached for a bottle of painkillers that was sitting on her desk. Pouring four tablets into her hand, she swallowed them quickly and hoped that they would work quicker than normal. She found that all the confusion from trying to understand this strange dimension was giving her intense headaches.
"Serena! Don't be late for school!" Called the voice of Grace, Serena's mother, from the living room below. Serena found out that in many of these high school dimensions, her family was either incredibly poor or incredibly rich. Never in between. Unfortunately, this dimension was one where she was incredibly poor. So, Serena had to get used to wearing dirty clothes and not eating every day. Could be worse. At least she wasn't having buses thrown at her every day.
"Coming, mom!" Serena yelled back before throwing her journal into her hole-filled backpack and heading out the door.
The walk to school was always the same. She'd walk all the way to school on some scary secluded path where she was convinced something bad would happen to her someday. Sometime in the weeks its been since she got stuck here, she found out that her school was only for rich kids. Somehow through some impossible achievement or through sheer luck, Serena managed to get into this rich-kid school. That, also, was apparently common in these dimensions, despite the chances of it happening supposedly being "impossible".
Dawn and May were waiting for Serena in front of the school and did their usual greeting. Screaming in joy and running up to meet the honey-blonde. Serena had long since accepted that that was how they greeted people, and made a mental note to ask her dimension's Ash about them when she finally got back to her life. Whenever that would happen.
"Ready for classes?" Serena asked as she finally freed herself from the bone-crushing hug May was giving her.
"Nope! But I'll go anyway!" She replied loudly with her usual enthusiasm. The three girls walked towards the door to the school building. They weaved through the usual crowds of people. The rejects, the druggies, the jocks, the nerds, etc. Just as they were walking past a slightly different ornate fountain from the last dimension, but still obscenely ornate fountain, they were interrupted by someone calling to them from a nearby bush.
"Pssst…Serena!" Came the loud whisper.
The honey-blonde looked over and squinted at the bush. She couldn't quite make out who it was, until she saw the hat and sunglasses poke out from the thick bushes.
"…Calem?" She asked quietly. "What are you doing in there?"
Calem nervously glanced around, looking both ways before sprinting towards the three girls. He was wearing camouflaged clothing and had painted his face green and brown. He looked like he had lost his mind, judging by his veiny eyes and nervous stuttering.
"T-the buses…Serena. Have you seen any?"
"No, Calem. None today. How are you doing?"
He didn't respond to Serena's concern-filled question, and instead glanced around some more. A twig cracked back in the bushes, no doubt from a squirrel (a strange creature Serena had tried to catch several times, thinking it was a pokémon), and Calem jumped, hiding behind the honey-blonde performer.
"You have to help me, Serena…" He whisper-yelled, his finger's twitching on Serena's shoulders. May and Dawn just stared at him with confused expressions, as if they had no idea what he was talking about. "The buses…they're always watching, Serena. They were never around before you broke up with m-me."
Serena sighed. As much as she felt bad for her…friend…Calem, she wasn't willing to force herself into a relationship for his sake. Especially since this wasn't even her dimension. "I'm sorry Calem, but I told you already. I don't love you, and I won't be in a relationship with someone I don't love. I already have someone I care about. Is there anything else I can help you with? You don't look like you're doing too good…"
At this, Calem's eyes widened and he backed up dramatically. "O-oh no! You don't know what you've d-done! They're going to find me now! I HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!" He then burst into a sprint back towards the woods. Like something out of a science fiction film, a large blue bus predictably manifested itself into the sky and flew towards Serena's unfortunate ex-boyfriend. It crushed him in the usual manner, and Serena sighed once more.
"Come on, girls. He'll dig himself out of there in a few hours."
The days were always the same. The students would get incredibly easy assignments that everyone would complain about no matter what, and then nobody would do them. The only reason people ever did homework was if they were on a date. The teachers never seemed to enforce the rule about doing homework too, which made Serena question why they handed it out in the first place.
Serena went to her first three classes and tried her best to avoid Ash's awkward stare. He had recently started doing that whenever he was with Misty. It took days for Serena to remind herself that this Ash was nothing like the Ash she loved, and she eventually stopped blushing around him so much. Now, this Ash was more of an irritation than anything. He never left Serena alone, and recently even started coming up behind her desk to do weird things like smell her hair.
So Serena sat in math class—otherwise known as the bane of everyone's existence—even though it wasn't hard at all, and daydreamt about how she would get out of this dimension and back to her own family.
"Interesting stuff, isn't it?"
The loud voice of Celebi echoed in Serena's head, causing her to jump and gasp in fear. The entire class looked at her, and the teacher, which was professor Sycamore for some reason, glared at her. All of the teachers at this school were professors, oddly.
"Something to say, Yvonne?"
Serena gulped and sat back down slowly. "No, sir. Just saw a bug or…something…"
That seemed to work, and Sycamore shrugged. Serena glared at her paper, picturing it as the meddling time-traveling pokémon named Celebi.
"What do you want?" She asked inwardly, hoping nobody noticed her glaring at her notebook like it was the worst thing in the world.
"Is that any way to treat your friend who is letting you experience a totally different life?"
Serena rolled her eyes dramatically. "Don't even try and pull that stuff on me, Celebi. We aren't friends, and you know this place is terrible. When can I go home?"
"How rude. This is the thanks I get for checking up on you?"
Serena had to resist snapping her pencil in two. Her headache was returning, and she briefly wondered if she had done something to deserve all of this. She took another deep breath and tried to calm herself. She had already gone through three bottles of pain medication for her headaches.
"I've been here for over 60 days, Celebi. I never wanted any of this in the first place" She replied, continuing to breathe deeply. "I'd just like to go home. Is that too much to ask?"
"Well, in some part, yes. That is too much to ask. I've got so much to show you!"
"Well, is there some way we could speed up the process a little bit? I mean, you are a time-traveler after all!"
There was a brief pause then and Serena smirked to herself. "Yeah, I guess there is a way I could do that." The pokémon replied. "Just finish out this day at school and I'll speed up the process. How does that sound?"
Grinning wider than she had in weeks, Serena had to resist the urge to laugh from the sheer joy that was bubbling up inside of her. "Thanks Celebi. Thank you so much. I'll gladly finish this day if it means I can finally go back to my dimension!"
There was no reply, and Serena was content with that. She just had to survive the rest of the day. Shouldn't be so hard, right?
Wrong.
Serena was walking to her next class after receiving math homework that she had no intention of doing when she was stopped in the hallway by one of the last people she wanted to see.
Ash Ketchum was leaning up against her locker, seemingly looking for the honey-blonde. He was acting all "cool", and was signing autographs for random fangirls that would come up to him. When his brown eyes met Serena's azure ones, he smiled widely, and Serena had to remind herself once more that he wasn't her Ash.
"Hey Serena! I haven't seen too much of you today!" He said in his usual chipper tone.
Serena shrugged and looked away from his gaze. "Well, I guess I've just been busy." She mistakenly looked up towards his eyes again and regretted it immediately.
"That's strange beca—"
And there it was. The eye thing. Celebi wasn't lying; whenever Serena and Ash looked at each other's faces at the same time, Ash would stop whatever he's doing and dramatically stare at her. It was endearing at first, but then became creepy after the 60th time it happened. Now, it was just irritating. Serena could even break the gaze and he would keep staring.
"One more day, Serena…one more day…" She told herself.
Serena waved her hand, trying to stop Ash from creepily staring at her, when she made another critical error: She took a step around Ash.
You see, she learned the hard way that whenever she and Ash were within arm's reach of each other, Serena had to keep an arm on the wall or something stable at all times. It was like Arceus himself forced the two of them to lose all of their balance skills when they were around each other. Almost every single time they were within arm's reach, one of them would fall on top of the other. This time, it was Serena. As she moved her leg to walk around Ash and continue onto her class, he just so happened to have moved his leg at the same time, and ended up tripping the honey-blonde.
He fell, and she fell on top of him. Like it was out of a script in a play.
He had the same shocked face he always did when it happened, as if it hadn't happened 100 times already. Serena, on the other hand, just sighed and got up off of him.
"I'm s-sorry S-serena! I d-didn't mean t-to!" He said, his face becoming red as he transformed into a blubbering mess. He was supposed to be one of the coolest kids in the school, but when he was around Serena, he became a total idiot. In some way, that was sweet, but Serena had had enough of this "fake" Ash. She only wanted her real one back.
Without so much as another word, Serena grabbed her books out of her locker and walked on to her next class. She didn't stop to see what Ash was doing, as nothing was going to stop her from finishing the day out. She just wanted to go home.
Another three boring classes passed without anything interesting happening, and Serena was counting down the seconds until the day was over. Gary asked Serena for her number, which she rejected for the 500th time, Paul did his usual "jerk" thing of ignoring Dawn whenever he tried talking to her, and Ash kept staring at Serena creepily. One thing she noticed though was the lack of Clemont. Despite seeing him in the hallways almost every day, whenever she tried to approach him and talk to him, he seemed to disappear. Celebi said the reason was because Clemont apparently is not important to most high school dimensions, and that most of the time, he's just a side piece to the story of Ash and Serena.
When Serena heard that, she made another mental note of trying to be better friends with her Clemont back in her dimension. She saw him as a good friend, and never once thought of him as a side-piece. Bonnie didn't exist in this dimension too for some reason, which disappointed Serena greatly.
Serena was sitting in biology class, which was her last class of the day (another class that didn't make sense to her, since she didn't quite understand a world without pokémon) when all of a sudden, Professor Oak came bursting into the room and stared directly at the honey-blonde.
"Serena Yvonne! Come to my office, quick! It's an emergency!"
"Of course it is…" Serena whispered under her breath. Not in a hurry at all, she gathered her things and followed the professor into the hallway. She didn't try to keep pace with him at all, which forced him to walk slower, something he made very obvious he disapproved of judging by his glares.
When they were at his office, he closed the door quickly behind him, and sent Serena a very serious look.
"Look profes—uh, Principal Oak. I just need to finish today as quickly as possible so I can go home. I have some…important stuff…I need to deal with."
Oak raised his hands, dismissing whatever Serena just said like he wasn't even listening, much to her dismay. "That's going to have to wait, Yvonne. I just received a very important phone call from your mother." He sat down at his desk and gestured for the performer to do the same. Serena sighed but decided to comply.
"Yvonne. It's your father…" He took a deep breath then, closing his eyes. "He's…back in town."
It was silent then, and Serena awkwardly looked to the side for a moment. "Okay…?" She replied with a shrug. "What does that have to do with me?"
Oak looked absolutely baffled. "Are you mad!? Don't you understand what that means?"
"Not really. Pretty much every day since I got here has been filled with moments like this."
"But he's—"
Serena stood then, placing her hands sharply on Oak's desk. "I'm sorry Principal Oak, but I have no idea what you're talking about." She raised her finger to silence his rebuttal and added one of her own. "I must be honest with you, Oak. I'm usually much more cheery and pleasant to be around. I was a performer, and I loved to make people smile. But, a meddlesome pokémon named Celebi took me away from my loved ones and brought me to this confusing world, and ever since then, I've treated this entire time like nothing mattered." She paused then, taking a moment to study Oak's confused face.
"Pokémon?" He asked quietly. Serena decided that was her moment to continue.
"Yes, pokémon. You see, Celebi told me that if I finished out today, I could go home. I have waited far too long to confess to Ash that I am in love with him, and to be honest, I really miss him, Clemont, and Bonnie. I have spent a little over two months here, and I've been confused and had terrible headaches literally the entire time. So with that in mind, I really want to go home. I don't care about whatever is happening with my "dad". I just want to go back to my mom's weird house and wait for Celebi to send me home. Does that sound okay?"
"But—"
"Thank you, professor!" Serena interrupted with a cheery smile. "It's been nice knowing you, really. Tell everyone I said good bye, and please keep an eye on Calem for me, please? He's not doing so hot."
Without another word, Serena turned on her heel and confidently marched out of the office like her life depended on it. The office staff of the school openly gawked at her as she walked by, having heard everything through the walls, but Serena didn't care. Nothing was tearing her down. She was going home today, and she was going to hug Clemont and Bonnie and confess to Ash. Nothing was stopping her.
So, she walked out of the school and onto the predicable scary path back to her house. Predictably, just as she was reaching the halfway point of the scary path, a strange man jumped out of the forest and pointed a gun at the honey-blonde.
Raising her hands up on instinct, Serena couldn't help but frustratingly stomp on the ground.
"Why Celebi? Why?" She groaned, looking up at the sky. "Just let me go home!"
"Celebi? What?" The man asked with a confused face before shaking his head. "Doesn't matter! Do you remember who I am, Serena Yvonne?"
"I don't know. Probably my father, if I had to guess."
"Aha! That's right, your father! I have returned!"
"This guy is a total nutcase, just so you know." A familiar voice echoed inside the honey-blonde's mind.
Serena couldn't help but smile, turning her gaze back at the sky. "Celebi, I never thought I'd be so happy to hear your voice in my head!"
Serena's father looked even more confused than before. So much so, that he even lowered his gun a little bit. "What?"
"I'm glad we're actually becoming friends, Serena."
"Don't go that far, Celebi. I'm still mad at you."
"Noted. Anyway, how was your last day of school?"
Serena shrugged, totally ignoring the man in front of her at the moment, even though he was holding a gun pointed at her. Nothing was bringing down her day. Nothing.
"Well, it was okay. Could have done without the awkward interaction with Ash, but I suppose it was fitting."
"Yeah, I saw that. Poor guy. Really makes you appreciate your dimension's Ash, doesn't it?"
Serena smiled warmly. "It does. I think I'm finally ready to confess to him."
"See? This was all for the better, wasn't it?"
"If I say yes, then does that mean I get to go home?" Serena asked, her eyes filling up with hope.
"Sure. I guess you can."
Serena jumped in absolute bliss, and cheered, ignoring the man looking at her with a stunned face. He didn't even have the gun pointed at her anymore. Of course, to him, Serena was just talking to herself. He probably thought she was absolutely insane.
"Then yes, it's been great! Can I go right now?" The honey-blonde asked with bright eyes.
"I guess. I got something to show you first though. I'll warn you. You might want to return to the high school world after I'm done with the next place."
"Wait what?"
With that, the bright light enveloped Serena once more, and her gun-wielding father simply stared at the spot where she once was, stunned.
"...What the fuck was that?"
Serena didn't quite wish that she was back in the high school realm, but she did wish that she had a few moments to gather herself before she was teleported away.
Celebi didn't quite teleport her to another world, nor did she teleport her back to her home dimension. Instead, Celebi showed her countless different worlds in the blink of an eye. Helplessly, Serena saw what these worlds consisted of, and saw the true horror of what Celebi had been referencing.
Thousands upon thousands of high school dimensions.
Almost all of them were the exact same too.
From dimensions where Serena was poor to dimensions where she was the most popular person in the school, Serena saw it all. She saw painfully awkward alternate-dimensional Serena interact with an equally awkward Ash, and it made her cringe violently. They had no chemistry whatsoever in almost all of these dimensions, and almost all of them involved outrageously dramatic things happening to the lives of those children. Fathers came back with guns, Lysandre was Ash's father and sometimes Serena's father, either one of them had an incurable disease, mothers were actually evil, etc. You name it, Serena saw it.
Even with all of these differences though, they all revolved around the same thing and always ended the same way: Serena and Ash going to high school, and eventually getting together. Classes themselves never seemed to matter though, and the main focus of the school was to be the location where Serena and Ash would fall in love. It would have warmed Serena's heart to see them get together so much if these versions of them weren't always the same. Clemont was almost never seen, Bonnie rarely existed, and poor Calem always had buses being thrown at him. Poor Calem.
Calem was sometimes an abusive boyfriend and other times a legitimate rival for Ash. It varied immensely, and Serena didn't bother trying to figure it out. Miette was universally evil in every dimension, which confused Serena too. She never saw Miette as evil. She was a friendly rival. She just knew how to get under Serena's skin with her teasing about Ash, is all.
Sometimes pokémon existed and other times they didn't. But if they did exist, they didn't really do anything and the only one that ever made a difference was Pikachu or occasionally Greninja.
Serena saw thousands of different dimensions in just a few seconds, so when she felt her shoes hit the ground and the light begin to fade away, she fell to her knees, panting wildly.
"See what I mean now?"
Serena felt a few tears flowing down her cheeks uncontrollably. She didn't even bother to wipe them away, instead letting them fall onto the dirt below her. She breathed deeply, trying to calm herself down. "What…what was that?"
"Those were just half of the dimensions where you went to high school. Believe me, it doesn't get any better."
"There were so many. They were all…the same? Why are there so many!?"
"I stopped asking that question a long time ago, kid. You just accept it for it is."
"Why did you show that to me?" She begged, looking up at the sky while still panting heavily. She was beginning to regain control of her senses after having them bombarded mercilessly, and desperately tried to control her breathing.
"I wanted to show you everything I was talking about so that you could know I was telling the truth about the high school dimensions. Maybe from now on you'll treat me a little better, since you now know what I have to deal with."
"I'll guarantee nothing…" She replied, before looking down to try and figure out where she was. She was surrounded by a forest. A very familiar forest, but she couldn't quite place where she was. The sounds of pokémon were all around her as well as some other very confusing sounds that she couldn't quite identify. "Where am I now?"
"Welcome to Pallet Town, Serena. I'm sure you'll remember who is from here?"
Serena, having just regained control over her breathing, stared up at the sky, indeed realizing where she was now. It was the forest of her youth, where she met Ash all those years ago. While it wasn't quite Lumiose City, it still was a place of comfort for the young performer. She already felt herself becoming calmer at the very prospect of being this close to Ash's home.
"Is this my Pallet Town or is this another dimension?" Serena asked carefully, squinting her eyes.
"You'll just have to figure that out for yourself, sweetheart. I won't spoil the surprise."
With a weary groan, Serena decided to take her chances and start walking towards the odd sounds she heard earlier. It was likely Pallet Town, and that was where Serena would get her answer.
The walk wasn't far and Serena noticed that almost nothing was different from how she remembered everything. The trees were the same, the grass the same, so on and so forth. She even heard the sounds of the nearby town and it all sounded the same. For the most part. There was another sound that Serena couldn't quite identify, but she didn't put too much thought into it. She wasn't from Kanto, so maybe it was just a Kantonese noise? Whatever that meant.
She came into a clearing and saw what she immediately knew was Ash's house. She remembered it from when she was a little kid when Ash introduced Serena to his mother. Smiling at the prospect of finally seeing something familiar and not having to attend classes anymore, Serena turned her brisk walk into a run as she got closer to the building. She reached the door and took a deep breath before knocking. There was no answer, confusingly, but that wasn't about to get the performer down. She was too excited at the prospect of normality.
Impatiently she knocked again, and once again, there was no answer. Taking another deep breath, Serena turned the handle and cracked the door open.
"Hello…? Mrs. Ketchum? Ash…?"
It was completely black in the house, but as Serena opened the door all the way, the lights in the home shot on, and what greeted the honey-blonde would likely scar her for life.
"You're early, Serena…"
In a split second, all the color drained from Serena's face, but then it came back with a vengeance like a tsunami of redness. Her eyes widened and her mouth struggled to come up with words to say, and the honey-blonde would have thought that she had never blushed that hard before if she had the capacity to think clearly.
Ash Ketchum was laying on the floor of his living room, surrounded by candles, rose petals, and chocolate, completely naked. His eyes seductively went up and down Serena's uncomfortable form, and he patted a spot on the ground next to him.
"I guess we can start early though…" He said, his voice deep and husky. It would have been attractive IF the situation was different, but Serena couldn't even begin to imagine what situation that would be.
In a panic, she "eeped" loudly and slammed the door shut, turning tail and running as far away from the house as she could. Her feet took her back into the woods she came from, adrenaline powering her steps even faster as her mind gradually replayed what had happened back to her.
Ash's unreasonably sculpted body. His entrancing look. The romantic atmosphere. His disproportionately huge-
"No! Stop right there!" Serena yelled in her head as she stopped her running, choosing a random tree to lean up against to catch her breath. Her face was undoubtably still incredibly red, but she focused on trying to calm herself down after realizing exactly what it is she saw.
"Celebi…" She panted out, looking up at the sky. "What…what is wrong with you?"
"We had to get this one out of the way eventually, Serena. Be thankful I decided to do it early so that we could get it over with."
"What does that even mean!?" Serena asked, her voice raising an octave. Her headache was returning, and seemed to amplified by the amount of blood that was concentrated in her face and head at the moment.
"These sex-filled dimensions are less common than high school ones, but still are pretty common. You had to experience it eventually."
"I didn't have to do ANYTHING!" She threw her hands up in the air in frustration. "Who in their right mind would think to bring a sixteen-year-old to a sex-filled dimension!"
"Um, technically, you're 10 years old. People just got sick of watching Ash not age every time he went to a new region, so it became common to make you 15 or 16 years old just for continuity purposes. Here in the sex-dimension though, everybody is 18 or older, sweetheart."
"I'm…not even going to begin to ask what you meant by that, Celebi."
"It's best if you don't."
Serena put her hand on her head and took the time then to look down at herself. She didn't feel different, but supposed that she wouldn't really feel different anyway. She noticed then that her bust was larger as well as her hips, and she may have been slightly taller as well. Being a teenage girl, Serena of course had thought about how she would develop further as she got older, but she was hoping that it would be a more gradual change. Not a "I went to sleep 16 (or 10, apparently…?) and woke up 18" kind of change. Sighing, she looked back up to the sky.
"So what, is the entire point of this dimension just for people to have…sex?" Serena squeaked out. She was always uncomfortable with saying the word, and especially felt uncomfortable now that she had seen a naked man for the first time. And that naked man happened to be Ash Ketchum.
"Yeah, pretty much. Nothing else happens here, really. Just one continuous sexual adventure. I'm sure you noticed how large Ash's…manhood…was. Let's just say that that isn't uncommon in these sex dimensions. He usually has a disproportionately huge member for some reason." Celebi seemed to laugh awkwardly then. "But you and all the other girls in sex-dimensions always take it like a champ anyway! Health doesn't really matter here, I guess!"
Just as Serena was beginning to feel the color in her face return to normal, Celebi's ridiculous comment instantly made her blush intensely again. She turned towards the grassy forest floor and covered her face in her hands, as if that would hide her embarrassment. Like many teenage girls, Serena had thought about sex before. It was natural, and she knew that. But she was fully prepared to wait quite a while before she actually had her first encounter. She wanted it to be with the right person, and she was willing to wait a long time if it meant being with that right person. As for Ash…Serena made a mental note that if her dimension's Ash was that large and he was the person that she had her first time with, she may need to consider artificial insemination if they ever decided to have children.
"I'm very uncomfortable right now, Celebi…"
"I can see that."
"Why would you bring me here? Did you want me to have SEX!? That's messed up, Celebi!"
"No, I just wanted you to see how things work around here."
"Couldn't you have done that without scarring me for life!?" Serena shrieked out.
"Would you have believed me if I told you that Ash Ketchum had a dong that was bigger than your forearm?"
Serena didn't answer, choosing instead to rub her reddened temples and groan.
"That's what I thought." Celebi smugly replied. "Anyway, these dimensions are usually all similar too. Every girl is desperate to have sex with Ash Ketchum, and he is unnaturally large down below. Ash is a player and every girl is totally fine with that too for some reason. Some dimensions are tamer, with casual sex, and other ones are pretty…interesting…to say the least. Fetishes and stuff are more common in some universes than others."
"Alright, I get it! When can I leave?"
"Soon."
"Oh, for the love of—When!?"
"Serenaaaa!" A familiar voice called out from outside of the forest. Serena's eyes went wide as she shot up.
"Mom?" She asked quietly to herself. Her mom's voice called out her name again, and against her will, Serena found herself slowly walking towards where the voice came from.
Soon enough after walking a fair distance, she found a clearing not far from the Ketchum household, and did indeed see her mother. Grace grinned at the sight of Serena emerging from the forest and ran up to hug her. It was then that Serena's heart began to beat nervously again, because her mom wasn't alone. Standing back on the path leading back to Ash's house were several women. Misty, Dawn, May, Ash's mom Delia, a dark-skinned girl with long hair, a green haired girl, a blue-short haired girl, Miette, and several other women that Serena didn't recognize were all standing and waving at the honey-blonde.
Grace hugged her daughter and held her close. "I turned around and you were gone, sweetie! Don't just disappear like that!"
"Mom…what are you doing here?" Serena asked, hesitantly holding her mom in a weak hug. She backed up a few steps to give herself some room.
Grace giggled oddly, something she had never heard her mom do before. It sounded weird. "Don't act dumb, Serena. You know what we're doing."
"No really, remind me. I can't really remember anything right now."
Dawn stepped forward and pushed her breasts together, making Serena cringe awkwardly. "We're going to get rekt, Serena! Ash Ketchum is our MAN!"
All the other girls cheered, and Serena had to resist the urge to faint. This was all too much. Her mom looked on the honey-blonde with a flirtatious grin, much to her daughter's chagrin. "You too, mom…?" Grace nodded slowly, and then Serena pointed then with horror at Delia. "And Ash's own MOTHER?"
Delia sighed and put her hand over her heart. "Yes, dear. Sometimes even I can't resist my own son. He's just so…manly."
At this, all of the girls literally moaned out loud as if it was rehearsed, and Serena felt bile rising in her throat. Unable to resist the urge for any more than a few seconds, Serena turned around and promptly threw up on the grass. She heaved for a few seconds before grabbing a few leaves off the ground and using them to wipe off her mouth and face, before turning back towards the women that were all staring with amused smiles.
"You guys…are all seriously messed up, you know that?"
"We can't help our attraction for Ash, Serena!" The red-haired girl—Misty—said, putting her hands on her hips. "You were attracted to him too up until you disappeared into the woods. What happened!?"
"Of course I'm attracted to Ash!" Serena yelled back. "I love him! I'm just disturbed that so many of you want him at the same time, including my mom and worst of all, his own mom!"
"Oh, don't be such a kid. We love him too, but we're all here for the same reason: To get some Ketchum dick." The dark-skinned girl said, crossing her arms and turning up her nose. The other women promptly agreed and started to turn back towards the house.
Grace held her hand out, offering it towards Serena as the other girls continued their trek towards the Ketchum household. "Come on, Serena. You know you want to come with us."
Serena shook her head vehemently. "Oh no. I really don't want to go with you, actually. If I'm supposed to have sex with Ash, I want it to be special and private. Not in some weird incestual orgy with all his friends and mother."
"I'm sure that can be arranged, dear."
"Thanks mom, but no."
With that, Serena turned on her heel and walked the opposite direction of Ash's house, while Grace shrugged and ran to catch up with the other women. Serena took a deep breath and just focused on putting as much distance between her and the Ketchum household as she could. She continued walking until she was out of Pallet Town and on the path leading to the next town. What was the next town? She had no idea. But, anywhere was better than Pallet and the Ketchum household.
She kept walking for what felt like several hours. Soon enough, the sun began to set beneath the horizon and darkness claimed the land. Serena didn't have anything with her to set up a camp, nor did she know where the nearest Pokémon Center was. She leaned against a tree just off the path and attempted to gather her bearings, staring at the ground as she thought to herself.
"No tent, no Pokémon center, no pokémon to protect myself with, just my backpack with my sanity journal, a water bottle, and a few pencils in it. Thanks Celebi. Really loving this dimension already."
There was no reply, which Serena was secretly disappointed by. She wanted someone to talk to that wasn't going to try and coerce her into sex, and Celebi seemed to be the only one that would be able to provide that. With a sigh, the honey-blonde began climbing the tree she was leaning up against in order to find a suitable branch to rest on. She eventually found one not far up and perched herself on it, leaning against the trunk for back-support. It was dark now, and the only things Serena could hear were the sounds of night Pokémon, and the distant "Kantonean noises" that she heard earlier when she first arrived in the dimension. Now that she knew that she was in a sex dimension though, she recognized the grunts and other unknown sounds of people "making love" in some faraway building.
Kantoean noises. Right.
She said a quick prayer for Calem's health back in the high school dimension, and was claimed by sleep shortly after. The stresses of the day and exercise from walking ensured that she fell asleep quickly.
It would have been nice, that is, if she was able to stay asleep.
The problem with falling asleep outdoors in a sex dimension was that everyone was having sex. And, she meant everyone. It sounded like she was listening to a pornographic film, and it never seemed to stop. It seemed like even the pokémon were having an endless orgy, which was debatably equally as disturbing as finding out her mother was having sex with Ash.
The whole night went like that. Serena banged her head several times on the tree trunk out of frustration, which only served to bring her headache back. And she didn't even have any medication on her this time, so she had to sit and deal with it the old-fashioned way. The orgy continued into the wee hours of the morning, and in what seemed like no time at all, Serena began to see the sun rising over the horizon. She had gotten almost no sleep. One or two hours, tops.
"And they're still going at it!" She yelled out to the sky, throwing her hands up in dismay. "How long can you guys go on!?"
"Oh baby, we can go on for hours." A masculine voice replied from down below the tree, startling the honey-blonde.
She looked down at the man standing several feet below her, seeing that it was a burly man wearing a flannel shirt and smiling up at her. "The name's Jeff." He said, offering a small wave.
Serena promptly waved back but did not smile. She was exhausted, and it must have showed. She bet the bags under her eyes were multiplying by the minute, and she must have looked even paler than usual. The man noticed this, and his friendly smile turned concerned.
"You okay, miss? You don't look too good."
Serena put her hand on her head. "I didn't sleep very well last night from all the noise. Do you have any headache medication?"
"No, I'm afraid not. Although I hear that Professor Oak back in Pallet Town should have some. He seems to have everything."
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm trying to get away from Pallet Town, actually."
"Oh? Why is that?" Jeff asked, his curiosity evident in his voice.
"I don't really want to be a part of the weird sex cult my mom and her friends in."
Jeff raised his eyebrows. "Really? Well that's all part of the fun of it! Who's the cult for?"
Serena sighed, closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose, hoping it would help relieve the worsening pressure in her skull. It didn't. "Ash…Ketchum…" She nearly whispered.
The man seemed to brighten up at this and gave a hearty laugh, having heard her from several feet below. "Well well well, Ash Ketchum! Why didn't you say so!? Ash is the most legendary lover in all of Kanto."
Serena deadpanned. "You don't say."
"It's the honest truth! Why, people come from all over the region just to experience his legendary flesh sword. How could you have passed that up?"
"I don't really want to talk about it. These past few months have been terrible."
"I'm sorry about that." The man replied. There was an awkward pause for a few moments then. "Do you want to have sex? It'll make you feel better."
"Thanks, but no thanks, Jeff." Serena adjusted herself and took a few steps down the tree trunk until she deemed herself low enough to jump. She jumped and landed on the ground with a wobbly grunt, using the tree trunk to stabilize herself.
"Alright, I guess. Suit yourself. Of course, I understand. If you just came from Ash Ketchum, your expectations are probably super high. He really is the best there ever was."
Serena sighed once again and began walking in the opposite direction of Pallet Town, just as she was the day before. "Thanks for starting my day off with information that I didn't want to know, Jeff. I do hope you do well though, and I appreciate you talking with me normally for those few minutes. I'm off now, so wish me luck."
Jeff nodded and smiled, waving after the honey-blonde as she walked away. "Good luck, blonde girl! May your sex always be fulfilling!"
Serena didn't acknowledge what he said, and was pretty sure he was staring at her ass the entire time she was walking away. But, there wasn't much she could do about that. With a sigh, she continued walking until Jeff the ass-watcher was out of sight and hopefully soon out of mind.
She walked hours once more, passing several more houses and declining sex offers with every person she encountered. Disturbingly, she even rejected an offer from a young lady and nine men, who were likely going to go to down on this girl. Serena was stunned for a few moments after that offer, and promptly walked away with just a shake of her head to signify her answer.
She stopped for nothing but to forage in the woods for food to eat, bathroom breaks, and to have painfully awkward conversations with people trying to get in her pants. Serena did this all day until the sun began to set again, and she groaned as she realized she didn't have anywhere to sleep once more. Her eyes panned the area, looking for another tree to climb so that she could attempt to get some sleep. She was pretty sure she had never been this tired in her entire life. Of course, when she was back in high school, she stayed up a little too late on her last night there and didn't get as much sleep as she should have, and then last night she was unable to sleep because of the sex sounds everywhere.
"Should have listened to mom back in high school and went to bed when she told me to…" Muttered Serena as she began climbing a nearby tree.
Serena perched herself on another tree branch, said her quick prayer for Calem, and closed her eyes immediately. Unfortunately for her though, the same thing happened as the previous night. She was unable to sleep for any longer than a few minutes at a time because of nearby screaming, grunts, and other sometimes terrifying noises of people having sex. It was like it never ended. She thought that Celebi was joking when it said that people did nothing but have sex here, but she couldn't have been any more wrong. People literally did nothing but have sex here. Nothing.
Another painfully sleepless night passed, and Serena was proud to say that she slept at least two and a half hours instead of just one or two like the previous night. She woke up with a groan to the sounds of distant lovemaking, like usual, and was thankful that somebody like Jeff the ass-watcher wasn't there to wake her up this time.
Serena hopped down from the tree, foraged for some berries that she was pretty sure doubled as an aphrodisiac (Figures), and was soon on her way once again walking to some unknown place. She was certain she was near another town as the sounds of orgies seemed to be more numerous and were getting louder with each hour she walked on. Her suspicions were confirmed when she came over a hill on the road and saw a city not far in the distance.
Smiling to herself, she began walking towards the city with a slightly faster pace. A city meant people, and maybe she could find the Pokémon Center and hope that people didn't try to have sex with her until Celebi decided to teleport her out of the dimension. That was about the best she could come up with, but anything was better than another night sleeping on a tree branch.
There was a honk of a car horn behind Serena and she turned around just in time to see a long limousine barreling towards her. Jumping to the right out of the way with barely a second to spare, she rolled on the ground as the long car skidded to a stop not far in front of the honey-blonde. There was silence for a few seconds as Serena was breathing heavily on the ground, and a man stepped out of the driver's seat. His brown eyes, ones that Serena instantly recognized, lit up when he saw the honey-blonde.
"Serena! What a pleasant surprise. I missed you yesterday!"
Ash Ketchum.
"Ash…" Serena breathed out. With a groan and a hand on her head, she got up and stood wobbly, prompting Ash's bright face to frown in concern.
"Are you okay, Serena? You don't look too good."
"Well," She breathed out. "I've been walking for two days straight with nothing to eat but weird sex-berries and have gotten four hours of sleep total since I left Pallet Town. I'm not really feeling too good."
Ash put his hand behind his head, his face appearing embarrassed. Serena was thankful that at least across dimensions, Ash's mannerisms remained the same regardless of who he was. "I'm sorry I almost hit you back there. Dawn was getting a little too feisty in the passenger seat. I swear I only took my eyes off the road for a few seconds."
Serena felt that her headache was worse than it had been in days, but this time, there was a growing pain in her stomach too. She felt light-headed, and her blank stare must have been intense enough for even Ash Ketchum to notice. He shook his head and walked over, putting his arm around Serena.
"Come on Serena. You can't stay out here. Come with us and we'll give you something to eat and a place to sleep."
Wordlessly agreeing, Serena allowed herself to be escorted back to the limousine. Her lightheaded feeling only got worse though, and by the time Ash was holding the door to the back seat open and all of the girls from before excitedly waved, Serena couldn't think straight any more. Once her eyes met with those of her mother, she felt her vision go black, and everything disappeared.
…..
Serena's eyes slowly opened an unknown period of time later in a pristine white room. She was definitely in a hospital, and groaned to herself. She felt better than she had when she was walking, but a dull pain still existed in her head. Her eyes glanced around the room to get her bearings. There were posters on the wall advertising safe-sex and diagrams of both the male and female genitalia by the door. There was an IV connected to her arm, and she appeared to be wearing a hospital gown.
The door clicked, and Ash came in with Serena's worried-sick-looking mother by his side.
"Oh, you're finally awake, honey! I was so worried!" She said, rushing over and giving Serena a hug. The honey-blonde hugged her mother back, appreciating the normal human contact for as long as she could. She hadn't talked to someone about anything other than sex in days. She previously was uncomfortable with even saying the word, but she was pretty sure she was used to it by now. All it took was living in a this dimension for a few days.
"Thanks for worrying, mom. I suppose I walked for a bit too long without rest. Where am I?"
Ash shrugged then. "Viridian City. It's true that you went too long without rest, but the doctors said that the real reason you fainted was because you ate sex-berries, and then didn't have sex. The consequences of that can be dangerous."
Serena didn't respond for a second as she processed that information. With a deadpan stare, she averted her reddened face away from Ash and onto her bed. "Of course something like that exists here…" She sent a pointed glare towards the Ketchum boy-no, man. "You guys or the doctors didn't do anything to me while I was passed out though, right?"
Both her mom and Ash shook their heads, and Serena breathed a sigh of relief. "No, we didn't." Ash replied. "The doctors just used some drugs to bring your chemicals or whatever back to normal. I'm sure sex would have worked though."
"I appreciate the concern, but no thank you." Serena replied, and then it was quiet. Neither Grace or Ash knew how to reply to that, so Serena's mom settled for patting her hand on Serena's leg.
"I'm worried about you, dear. You always loved having sex before, but now it's like you don't even want to talk about it."
"I'm just going through some stuff, mom. I'll be fine. Don't worry."
Grace and Ash looked at each other and shrugged in unison. "We'll be outside if you need us, honey. Just rest up for now, okay?"
"Thanks, mom. I appreciate it."
With that, her two guests left, and Serena slid back onto her surprisingly comfortable hospital bed, resting her head on the pillow. Closing her eyes for a moment to process how she got into her current predicament, she allowed her thoughts to guide her until she began to feel herself falling asleep. Just as she was about to lose consciousness though, a familiar voice decided at that particular moment to interrupt her.
"How you liking the sex-dimension, Serena?"
Her previously peaceful look turned into a frustrated glare as she opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling. "What is it with you and interrupting my sleep? Can't you see I haven't slept in days?" She replied out loud.
"Yeah, I tuned out for a bit there. How's it going?"
"Oh, well I walked for two days with nothing to eat but sex berries and slept four hours over the course of that two days. Then I encountered Ash and all his friends again, and turns out you have to have sex after eating sex berries, who would have thought, and because I didn't, I ended up in here. You can say I'm doing great."
"Sounds like you're having fun."
"Yeah, I am."
"Well, I'll have you know that I picked the friendliest sex dimension I could find for you. Be thankful I didn't pick something like the bondage-rape dimension. I don't like visiting that one."
"I'm glad you're looking out for me, Celebi. Thanks." Serena replied with as much sarcasm as she could muster. She crossed her arms. "What's with everyone being obsessed with Ash here? Why is his own mom doing stuff with him?"
Celebi chuckled. "Well, that's called his "harem". It's very common throughout the sex-dimensions. He has a gaggle of attractive girls that cater to his every sexual need, and up until you got here, it included this dimension's Serena too."
"I don't like it here. At least in the high school world I had somewhere to sleep and people to talk to. I have neither of those things here, unless I decide to hang out with the people who want to have an orgy with me."
There was silence for a few seconds until Celebi sighed. "I suppose you've been here for long enough. Want to go somewhere else soon?"
"You told me I could leave soon when I first got here! Then I spent two days walking, and not to mention I spent 2 months back in high school! For a time-pokémon, you're really bad at keeping track of time."
"Don't try pulling that card on me. I see time differently than you do. "Soon", for me, probably means something different than it does to you."
"Well use my definition of "soon" from now on." Serena said, crossing her arms. "I'd like to go home, not to another dimension."
"No-can-do, kiddo. We've still got a few more places to go."
Sighing to herself, Serena wasn't surprised when the bright light encompassed her vision again, and inwardly wished that the next place she was being forced to visit wasn't as bad as the previous two.
On to the end of this chapter. It's a lot longer than the previous one because I didn't want to make a whole different chapter for the "lemon" section of Pokemon fanfiction. I didn't think I'd have enough ideas to make it around my word-goal. That's okay. As for lemon fanfictions, we all know they exist, and there are quite a lot of them. Not nearly as many as the high school fanfictions, nor as many as the next genre I'll cover, but I wanted to make sure to include that whole section of the fanfiction world.
As for an official pairing? I didn't mark Ash and Serena as the "official pair" of the story as this story wasn't going to be focused on one. It is within Serena's character to have feelings for Ash, so I kept that, but romance isn't the intent of the story. It's just something that'll happen whenever I see it fit to include it in the story. After all, the point is to poke fun at certain genres of fanfiction.
My favorite part of writing this entire chapter was probably writing Calem. I never really understood the whole "throw a bus at Calem/Camel" thing. I also can't find an explanation for it online, so if anyone knows where that came from, please let me know :). Anyway, say a prayer for ya boi Calem in the high school dimension. He's not doing so good. See you in the next chapter!
