A/N: Hello again, my lovely readers! For those of you who sat down and read the last chapter...thank you so much! It means a lot to me, really. Even if you hated it, hey, at least someone's reading it, right? Anyway, this chapter is going to be more lighthearted than the last one. Can't have angst every chapter (screams in the fact that the reason for this is because she's horrible at writing angst). This chapter is going to be a little longer, and focuses on Coral (Misty's daughter, father will be revealed later in this oneshot) and Emi/Emilia (SatoSere oldest child). And yes, I am in fact, updating this early! That's not to say I'll be doing this every time, though. I just got this done faster than anticipated and figured I'd be nice and publish it. I'm amazing, I know. Okay, onto the story!

Emilia Ketchum. Hyperactive. Dense as bricks. Adventurous. Essentially, the spitting image of her father. These thoughts ran through Coral's head as Emi dragged her through the woods by her house, insisting she knew exactly where she was going. Now I see what Mom meant when she always talked about how stupid Emi's dad was...looks like he passed it down.

"Em. We've walked past the same tree seven times now. You sure you know where you're going?" Coral asked.

"Uh huh! It's- right- wait- or is it left?" Emi's head swiveled in both directions, clearly lost.

"You have no clue where we are, do you?" Coral facepalmed so hard a Pidgey squawked and flew out of a nearby tree.

Finally, Emi hung her head in defeat. She had intended to show Coral a creek she had found, that was full of Magikarp and the like, but in the process had ended up walking around in circles for half an hour. Even worse, they hadn't told their parents exactly where they were headed.

Suddenly, Emi's eyes widened. "What if- what if no one finds us, and we have to survive out here on our own?"

Coral rolled her eyes. "That isn't going to happen. We'll find our way back."

The ginger took the brunette's hand, leading her back the way she (thought) they had come. However, as the minutes ticked by, Coral found herself swiveling her head just as Emi had done, completely confused as to where the two were. The forest was bigger than they had anticipated; the two had lost track of where they'd came in.

"Em...where are we, exactly?" Coral asked, her voice shaking slightly.

"That's EXACTLY what I was going to ask you!" Emi shot back.

"I told you we shouldn't go into the woods by ourselves! Now look where we are!" Coral shouted.

"Well, maybe if you hadn't complained the whole time, the trip might've gone better!"

"I was complaining because you were being stupid!"

The girls huffed, and plopped down on the forest floor, back to back. Coral fiddled with her pigtails anxiously. She hated this. She hated being alone. And now Emi was mad at her. She wrapped her arms around her knees, her heart beginning to beat much faster than before. Coral bit her lip, not wanting to panic when they were already lost in the middle of a forest.

"Coral." Emi placed a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Calm down, okay?"

Instantly, Coral's heart rate went back to normal, and she breathed deeply. Emi always seemed to know when Coral was growing anxious, or when she needed comfort. She smiled slightly.

"Thanks."

Emi turned around to face the ginger. "That's what best friends are for, right?"

Coral nodded. "But still, how're we gonna get out of this place?"

Emi shrugged. "Maybe we could live here."

"Absolutely not! I'm not sleeping on a forest floor with all of the Caterpie and Weedle, thank you very much."

The brunette shook her head, her blue eyes sparkling. "No no no! We could use the wood from the trees and build a house, like the ones in books! We could make a huge treehouse, with bridges to connect our rooms, and we could live up there for the rest of our lives!" Emi waved her hands about, explaining how everything in her fantasy civilization would work.

Coral giggled. "Mhm, but what would we eat?"

"We could eat berries, of course! We'd go scavenging for them by following all of the Pokemon, and they'd lead us to tons and tons of berries and fresh water. It'd be so much fun Coral, don't you think?" Emi bubbled, her eyes shining with excitement.

"But Em…" Coral clenched her fist. "We'd never...get to go on our Pokemon journey together. And we'd never see our parents again."

Emi sighed, walking up to her best friend and yanking her up into a standing position. "No, we wouldn't. But we'd still be together, right? We'd still be best friends, and we'd still be surrounded by Pokemon. If we stick together, then it won't be so bad! We can do anything, no matter where we go or what we do." Emi grinned. "So don't be sad. We'll find our way out. But in case we don't," Emi giggled. "Consider the treehouse plan, okay?"

Coral grinned and nodded. "Okay. Deal."

With that, the two girls started walking again, this time more calmly, and in comfortable silence. Admittedly, the forest they were in was beautiful; the trees seemed to touch the clouds with how tall they were, and the leaves gently fell from them, indicating the incoming fall season.

"So pretty." Emi muttered, looking up to the sky.

"Yeah. Sure is." Coral replied.

"We're still lost, though." Emi chuckled.

Now it was Coral's turn to shrug. "It's cool, being stuck here. It feels like...we're on a real Pokemon journey!"

"It does!" Emi said, running ahead of Coral.

Suddenly, a rush of wind came in and knocked the little girl over. Emi yelped, and managed to catch herself with her hands just as she hit the ground. Coral ran over to her friend, now sprawled on the ground.

"Em! What happened? Are you okay?" Coral exclaimed.

"I'm fine." Emi said, shaking herself. "That was weird, though. It was like the wind knocked me down."

As Coral helped her friend up, another rush of wind came through, this time knocking both girls off their feet. Coral grumbled, annoyed, but her breath soon left her as she looked up to see what the cause was. The creature let out a thunderous cry, looking down at the two girls. It was a teal color, with two white tails surrounding it, and a magnificent mane that was purple in color, flowing behind it in a wavy manner.

"Sui- Su-" Coral was too shocked to choke out the words.

Emi also looked up, and was equally as shocked. "Is that…?" She murmured.

The Pokemon let out another cry, this time a lot louder than before. It kneeled down, low enough for the girls to be able to climb on.

"Do you want us to get on?" Coral stuttered.

Suicune nodded. Hesitantly, the two girls hopped onto Suicune's back. Despite being a water Pokemon, it felt warm- like the two were being fiercely protected by the legendary. Coral positioned herself in the front, gently grabbing onto Suicune. Emi was in the back, holding onto Coral.

Suicune let out another deafening cry, and took off through the woods. Coral screeched, holding onto the Pokemon tighter so she wouldn't fall off.

The feeling of riding such a mystic Pokemon was unreal. Coral's family worshipped Suicune like some sort of god. They always had. To think...we actually got to meet it…

Suicune sped up, going so fast that the scenery going by was reduced to blurred colors that swirled and mixed together. Emi threw her head back, her face lighting up.

"THIS IS SO FUN!" She shouted over the wind.

Coral didn't reply as her friend whooped and yelled. She was in her own world. After a few minutes, Suicune finally came to a stop, and let the girls down. They were at the edge of the woods, right by Emi's house.

"Thank you very much, Suicune." Emi whispered, petting the water type on the nose.

The Pokemon responded by nuzzling into Emi's neck, cooing slightly. Just as Coral reached out to pet it as well, loud shouting sounded in the distance. Suicune twitched, and before the duo could do anything, ran off. Coral looked down at her hand, which now held a small Suicune scale.

"CORAL WATERFLOWER, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? WE ALMOST CALLED THE POLICE, YOU'RE LUCKY YOU DIDN'T HAVE A SEARCH PARTY OUT LOOKING FOR YOU!" Misty yelled.

"We got lost." Coral said simply.

"Why didn't you tell us where you were going?" Coral's father, Rudy, asked, a look of disappointment plaguing his face.

"Oh my Arceus, Emi! Where've you been? It's been hours!" Serena shouted, joining Misty and Rudy. Ash followed close behind, looking relieved.

"We went on an adventure!" Emi threw her hands up in the air excitedly.

"Yeah! We saw Suicune!" Coral added.

"Mhm! It was like woosh! And it picked us up and carried us out of the forest!"

"But, if we couldn't find our way out, we were gonna make treehouses."

Emi and Coral rambled on, explaining their endeavor in detail. The adults sweatdropped at the girls' excitement.

Ash kneeled down to Emi's height. "Don't go out on your own like that again, okay?" He said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Same goes for you, Coral. You're grounded." Misty grumbled as she took Coral's hand, leading her to the car.

"Wait- HEY!" Coral protested.

Emi ran around her parents, wanting to offer a quick goodbye to Coral before she left.

"Coral. Let's do that again sometime." Emi whispered so Misty wouldn't hear.

Coral nodded. "Totally."

The two high fived, and all went dark.

Emi yawned, rolling over under the covers. They were so cozy and warm. Someone was basically attached to her, snoring lightly. Coral. She had slept over since Misty and Rudy were busy with work. Right. Emi thought. It was all a dream.

"Coral. Wake up." Emi yawned as she shook her friend awake and shoved her off.

"Mm...no...I don't want to be grounded…"

Suddenly, Coral shot up, shaking the sleep off of herself, her hair sticking up every which way. She glanced at Emi and smiled.

"Y'know, I just had the best dream." Coral said.

Emi grinned, throwing off the covers. "So did I."

Coral followed suit as her brunette friend hopped out of bed and pulled some slippers on. The smell of pancakes drifted in from Emi's kitchen. Coral clenched her fist as she stretched, but stopped halfway. She was holding something. Coral brought the object up to her face. It was small, and a teal blue. It sparkled when exposed to the sunlight. The ginger grinned, tapping her friend on the shoulder.

"Hey Em. Want to go on an adventure?"

A/N: Alright, that's the end. This was longer than usual, but fun to write! I absolutely adore these two tbh, their friendship is so cute. No, them sleeping in the same bed was NOT meant to imply anything. They're like 8 or so in this, so don't get any ideas- it was just besties beng besties, lol. Also I'm going to be going away for a week in early August, so we'll see how the update schedule goes then. I'm going to be pretty busy. Until then, farewell!
