As he approached the doors, Derek noticed obvious signs of clean-up. Piles of rubble and trash sitting tucked away in trash bags that would never be picked up, and it made him hesitate. What if there was someone still there? But again, why would anybody choose to hole up in the library of all places? His curiosity won out, and he just hoped it wouldn't lead to his death.

"I asked if… if you wanted to maybe go with me to Three Broomsticks this weekend." Derek's voice sounded oddly quiet and hesitant, as if he was the one banking on the answer of this question. As if he was the one whose world was suddenly spinning double time, making up for his heart that had stopped. No fucking way.

This was all Deaton's fault. Okay, it technically wasn't Deaton's fault, but he was the guy who had told Stiles about… it. Who had ruined Stiles' life with this knowledge. Stiles had a fucking soulmate. A soulmate. What the fuck?

Dara and Stiles are just close friends, until they're not. Or, the one with genderbending, rooftops, and recklessness.

They took notice of the boy in the black hoodie and red ski mask. They plaster his blurry picture all over newspapers and websites and late night talk shows, and they call him a hero, a vigilante, a danger. They call him Red.

"Dude, you've gotta let me!" he yelled with an excited grin on his face, and how could Derek say no to that? So he didn't even try. It took some maneuvering, what with all of the people pressing in from all around, but the two eventually managed to get Stiles seated precariously atop Derek's shoulders.

An odd favor leads to Derek finally getting up and moving on, and it's all thanks to Stiles. -or- In which Derek looks hot in glasses, Stiles' friends are pushy, and neither of them ever expected things to turn out the way they did.

Ding. The phone was snatched by his hand in less than a second, almost creaking under the strength of his grip. -She's my girlfriend. -Was my girlfriend. And with that, Stiles felt the anger slip out of him, reluctantly making way for sympathy and exhaustion. He slumped down to the floor, back against his bed as he debated what to say. If he should even say anything.

"He… I think he did something to me. I think that's why I've been so… affectionate lately." Stiles sees the moment Derek understands. He watches his face fall, feels his hand dropping down to his side, cold and alone. -Or- Stiles is definitely not getting magicked into hugging anyone. Especially not Derek.

When Derek comes to Stiles, trembling and crying, and tells him some terrifying news, Stiles vows to do whatever it takes to save Derek from a life he doesn't want. -Or- The Angels and Demons AU with a slight twist.

Stiles is a spitfire omega who doesn't appreciate being talked down to. Derek is very turned on.

"Derek-" Stiles breathed. Then, more steady, more demanding, he said, "Derek, stop." Derek didn't stop. That's when Stiles knew something was wrong. -or- Derek gets enchanted and things don't go according to anyone's plans.
