![]() Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. A fellow Tomione writer. Note: To address those of you with any concerns over my particular pairing (e.g. I don't understand how you could place Tom and Hermione together; it doesn't make sense), please read fellow author provocative envy's explanation of why she chooses to ship Tom and Hermione together (just click the "Why Tomione?" link on her profile). Her reasoning for this pairing is nearly completely similar to mine and why I like to read/write these fics. P.S. If you are looking for a very good Tomione read, then I would highly recommend provocative envy's Nightmare. This story is fantastic, and the writing and the plot is just immaculate! Also, feel free to check out her other fics (I rather enjoy her Tomione one-shots). The Gardener's Son: This is a Hermione G./Tom Riddle Jr. pairing in an AU, so no Hogwarts/magic is involved. Hermione is studying marine biology, one of her lifelong passions, and comes back to a place of her childhood for a research study and rekindles a budding romance with her former playmate, Tom. As of 4/3/15, I have completed five chapters of the story, and I am still continuing to plan/map out how the rest of the story is going to be. Special note: For many of you who have already read the previous four chapters, you already have a basic outline for how the story is set up. However, I am using the newly-posted fifth chapter to serve as a transition point in the story, mainly for two reasons: 1) To introduce new characters. I simply cannot have a story with just Hermione and Tom in it! 2) To introduce pertinent information in character development. I like to go in depth with my characters and analyze their thoughts and emotions to show how they truly work within the story. For Hermione, she is still the over-analyzing, brilliant, uptight girl we know her to be. Tom, however, may seem to be "out of character" as he is rarely seen in the "perfect, innocent, romantic" light I have portrayed him in so far. This will change. In the novels and in other fanfics, Tom is known to be manipulative, cunning, charismatic, and charming, often labeled as a sociopath. As the story progresses, Tom will maintain some of these characteristics so that he is true to his "original character", so he will not remain this perfect angelic person forever (Sorry!). However, I think that these dual personalities will make the story very interesting as it builds. I hope you all enjoy it! UPDATE 4/19/15: Chapter 6 is still being written (I know, shoot me!). However, I do have good news. This week is my last week of classes, and then I have finals the week after. I plan on resuming writing/editing Chapter 6 after all that so I have all my time and energy to focus on it. Thank you for your patience! |
