Chapter 6
Bella's POV
Three months passed and the Allie House was completed. Everything in New Orleans was for once, since I've been here, silent. Which was scary, but good at the same time. Jackson was in the barn every day since working on the "Project" for our bedroom. I was busy decorating the living room, dining room, den, kitchen, and the guests' rooms.
"Babe!" I heard Jackson call out. I smiled and finished fluffing the pillow I had in my hands.
"Guest bedroom!" I called back. I heard his feet on the stairs then he walked into the bedroom I was in.
"Hey baby." He said smiling.
"Hi. How's the project coming along and when can I see it?" I asked kissing him quickly. He grabbed my hand. He pulled me against him and wrapped his arm around me.
"I need you gone for a couple of hours today. I am going to grab a few of the guys and have them help me bring the things up and I'll set it up. You can see tonight." He said touching my cheek. I raised an eyebrow.
"I can help." I offered. He laughed and held me tighter.
"No, you can't. It's a surprise." He said kissing me. I sighed and kissed him back. He tangled his hand in my hair and deepened the kiss. I slid my hands up his chest and around his neck. We made out for a minute then pulled away to breath.
"I got to call the guys now. So, I can have my girl tonight in my arms." He said panting. I giggled and kissed him lightly.
"Fine. Then I will go into town and get groceries for our kitchen." I said smiling.
"Take your time. Oh, get some special occasion outfits while you're in town. More so, fantasies." He said smirking. I hummed and nodded.
"I sure will. Maybe even an outfit or three for you." I said winking. He laughed and kissed me again.
"I love you so much." He said.
"I love you too." I said smiling. I kissed him quickly then left. I got groceries, "special" outfits, alcohol, and a few other things we needed. I had just finished loading the car when I got a tingling up my back.
"Hello, Elijah." I said sighing. I turned around and crossed my arms at the suit wearing vampire.
"Isabella." He said walking closer.
"Stalking me or just stopping by to say hi?" I asked. He smirked and looked in the car.
"Checking in. How is your new home coming along?" He said looking in the bags. I shoved him away and shut my car door.
"Just fine." I told him.
"Will we have an invite to the housewarming?" He asked.
"Doubt it." I scoffed. He hummed and nodded.
"Niklaus wishes to speak to you. Apparently, your friendship with him means more to him than you think." He said looking around.
"He has a phone; he can call me." I said sighing.
"You'll speak with my brother but not with me." He said looking down at me.
"I'm speaking to you now, Elijah. It's not like I ignored you the last three months. There was no attempt to call or text or even write. Or, in your brother's case, send a head or a going to be burning vampire." I said shaking my head.
"There was a time you and I would talk all night." He said.
"Yes, and then you kept choosing the she-wolf over me. Things and people change, Elijah. Now if you will excuse me, I have to get home." I said opening my driver's door. He slammed it shut. He spun me around and pressed me against the car.
"Your home is the compound with us, Isabella. And you haven't been there in months." He said angrily. He was pressed up against me and I could feel every aspect of his body. I shoved him away.
"Because it hurts, Elijah. Watching the person, you fell in love with, fall for someone else when they claimed to love you. Someone who promised you, it didn't mean anything. I saw it, Elijah. I saw everything! But no matter how much I fought for you, you ignored it and pushed me away. Now I have fallen in love again, and with a great man. Now you want to rip it away. Take me away from happiness just so your girlfriend can stop being pitiful each day. No. Good-bye, Elijah." I said getting in my car. I drove home in silence. When I pulled into the yard, I saw the lights on and smoke coming from the chimney. I parked and got out. I started unloading everything and Jackson came out.
"Hey. Woah. Did you buy the entire store?" He asked helping me unload.
"No. I just doubled in everything we eat. I've seen the way we both eat, and we go through some food." I said laughing. He laughed and we hauled everything inside. I dropped the special bags by the door and walked inside the kitchen.
"Let's put the cold stuff up first then the rest later. I want to show you the surprise." He said unloading the cold things. I flashed my eyes and everything was put up in its spot.
"There we go." I said smiling. He laughed. I grabbed his hand and pulled him close.
"You smell like a vampire." He commented. I lifted my hand and replayed what happened in his hand.
"He doesn't want to lose you and I can't blame him." He said sighing.
"Well, he did when he chose her. I wanted to be up and front with you on that, so it doesn't get blown away later. Now let's forget about that and Elijah. Show me the surprise." I said biting my lip. He nodded and we headed for the stairs. He grabbed the bags I dropped off there at the door before we walked up. The only thing he let me buy for the room was a mattress and box spring. We mainly stayed in the guest room since the house was finished. I gasped when I saw the freshly carved out wooden king size bedframe.
"Jackson. It's beautiful!" I gasped. I ran my hands over it and sighed. The bed was fully made with the sheets, comforter set we picked out and pillows.
"You like it?" He asked. I tuned to him and smiled.
"Baby, I love it! Its perfect! Thank you so much for making this for us!" I said walking to him. I kissed and hugged him.
"You're welcome, babe." He said smiling in my neck. I pulled away, kicked off my shoes and jumped on the bed. I sighed and buried myself into the comforter.
"Oh Jackson! Come lay with me." I said motioning him onto the bed. He hopped on and sighed.
"Oh man." He groaned. I laughed and rolled over to face him.
"Feels good, doesn't it?" I asked smirking.
"My back doesn't hurt as bad, either." He mumbled. He looked at me and grinned.
"What?" I asked biting my lip.
"I love you; you know that?" He asked softly. I leaned over and kissed him.
"Oh, I know. I love you too, Jackson Kenner." I said pulling back slightly. He kissed him again and there was no pulling away from each other.
