Once the aliens started ransacking the city, the group of Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven went into hiding in the shadows.
"Okay, we need some way to track-" Robin started to talk, but Raven interrupted him.
"She's near." They turned to her, wondering how she knew. "I can sense things." She explained more awkwardly.
"I'll see if I can pick up her scent." Turning into a wolf, Beast Boy sniffed the ground, trying to pick up her scent.
"I'm also detecting a heartbeat. It's coming from-"
"This way." Beast Boy finished Cyborg's sentence as he ran, the others following. Inside a running inn that has been abandoned because of a blasted hole in the wall, the Aasimar was eating all the preserved and prepared meat along with downing large amounts of alcohol. When the group found her, Beast Boy commented,
"Those taste better with seasonings and sauce." Stopping her ravenous eating, she growled as she aimed a glowing hand at them, and all of them backed away.
"Hey hey, we're friends, right? I set you free of your restraints." Robin tried to keep the situation cool, keeping his hands up.
"Friends? Why? What purpose did you have to free me?" She asked suspiciously.
"Well, I was just trying to be nice, you know?"
"You think I deserved your pity? Do you?!" The alien girl threatened, her hands glowing brighter.
"The human did you a favor. Have you not heard of the term gratitude?" Cyborg questioned her. "I am not afraid to fight you, but if you want us to remain on good terms, then how about you explain why those lizardfolk are searching for you as their prisoner?" Frowning, she closed her eyes and set her hands down on the chair and table she sat down with.
"Not prisoner. Prize. Those Gordanians were delivering me to the citadel. To live out my days as their slave."
"And this citadel?" Raven asked.
"Not good."
"Then I won't let you go with them." Robin determined. "Not if I have anything to say about it."
"Hey, don't count us out fool." Beast Boy chuckled. That was when a wall exploded, sending the teenagers onto the ground as the Gordanians found them.
"Seize her!" When the aliens attacked, the teenagers retaliated. Cyborg punched one of them into the ground, cracking the stone floor as it did so. Beast Boy turned into a boar and charged through a bunch of them, slashing at them with his tusks. While Robin was being overwhelmed by them, even defending with a short sword, the Aasimar punched through the whole group with a yell, giving him the chance to slash finish off the rest surrounding him, spinning to slit their throats. Raven used a powerful spell called Eldritch Blast to push so many of them back, one of the walls collapsed when they crashed into the wall and the blast exploded against them. The Aasimar was the one to exit the inn first, flying out so she could have the range to hit them with her energy blasts, one of them exploding while two got in close. One she managed to punch away after he tried to take a swing with his weapon, but the other blindsided her and punched her down into the ground hard enough to leave a crater. When Robin noticed that she was about to be hurt by the alien's glowing trident, he stabbed into the assailant in front of him, and slung the creature towards the escapee's throwing him off balance enough where she can blast them both to pieces with her energy. The two smiled at each other before more came. Cyborg meanwhile was managing to hold its own with its brute strength, smashing them down or punching with enough force the blow kills them. But its ankle got snared and as a result the Warforged got tripped, landing on its back so that the alien in front of it and two more blasted at the living machine. When they stopped when they fired so much energy that dust and smoke was all they could see, three blue missiles of blue energy blasted them all away, the dust settling to show the warforged, while scuffled, mostly okay. Its cloak was destroyed first.
"Status: 92%." It said to itself as it got up, catching a trident aiming for its head without looking, and punched the attacker away. After another Eldritch Blast from Raven, the remaining troops retreated, leaving the battling group among a slew of corpses.
"Thank you." The Aasimar told the group of Toril teenagers.
"Grrr, my cloak." Cyborg growled as it ripped off what little ragged remains of it were left.
"So? Why do you need one anyway? You look cool."
"I scare people away for being a Warforged. Besides, that wooden mask looks silly."
"Hey, I crafted this when I became a druid! Tiefling, please explain to him it looks cool."
"While it is a druid mask, none I've seen looks weirder than yours." The female told him, as his mask did look more something like a superhero mask than anything actually druid like. He groaned as he took the mask off, a string visible from behind so it could hang around the back of his neck.
"This isn't over." Robin interjected into their conversation. Now that we've interfered-"
"Trogar will strike harder." The alien girl cut him off, before a projection appeared in the sky.
"Fools! You scum have been warned, now your ignorance will be punished! Your city shall be destroyed!" The ship containing the aliens hovered over the city, and a giant laser aimed at the ground was getting ready to fire.
"Great, we're all going to die and meet our respective deities in the next life." Beast Boy groaned.
"I worship no god." Cyborg stated.
"Ugh, all the fault is yours!" The Aasimar angrily yelled at Robin. "I commanded that you leave me alone but you insisted on helping me when it did not benefit you!" As much of a sucker he is for a woman with a pretty face, this was too much for him to ignore.
"My fault? You try to kill me, then kiss me after, and now we just learn they have a hi-tech cannon that can destroy the city?!" Before Beast Boy and Cyborg could argue as well, the Tiefling yelled,
"Shut up!" They all turned to Raven. "Look, I don't know about any of you, but I'd rather not be blown up when I haven't even been on this plane for even a week, and I'm not going back to where I came from. If anything, I say we have to work together if we want to survive." After they all stood there, Robin nodded.
"She's right. This isn't the time for pointing fingers. Since we're in this deep, how about we save the city, yeah?" Raven was the first to agree, before the rest did the same. On the ship, guards ran through the corridors, passing by a hallway just where the group entered via Raven's magic.
"Whoo, that dark magic is cold." Beast Boy shivered.
"My soul isn't like normal people's." The warlock glared at him.
"Oh, sorry."
"We have to get to where they can control that cannon. We need to hurry." Robin whispered as he and Beast Boy, Cyborg and the Aasimar sneaked around, or tried to but Cyborg was making extra loud sounds with his footsteps. "Cyborg, can you walk more quietly?!"
"I'm trying. You think it's easy for a 1644 pound warforged to act stealthy?" As the others went on, he then turned to Raven whom was trailing behind them. "Why are you lagging behind?"
"I just don't feel comfortable. Robin's nice, but I don't fit in with you all."
"Raven, to us you may be unique in being a Tiefling, but Robin is the only normal human. One's a Shifter, I'm a Warforged and the other girl is an Aasimar. And Robin's displayed skills of a rogue so far, meaning all of us may have blood in one form or fashion on our hands. Why should a Tiefling be the wrong kind of different?" Raven closed her eyes as she walked past. As Robin and the alien girl sneaked the closest to each other, she whispered,
"I must apologize."
"Me too." He replied.
"You are truly a kind being." She smiled.
"You're pretty cool too as a fighter. And beautiful I might add." The rogue monk complimented. The girl blushed. When guard turned a corner though, the group was spotted.
"There they are!"
In the cannon control room, the weapon has charged to full power.
"Begin to fire!" Lord Trogar commanded. As the cannon was about to fire, an explosion rocked the room as the teenagers stormed in. Robin came in first, using the explosion as an advantage for a sneak attack as he stabbed into one of them with a dagger. Cyborg converted his right arm into a cannon and fired a thunder wave at the group, overwhelming their senses. Beast Boy turned into a boar and again charged into them, slashing into their skin with his husks. However, he got smacked into by the side and squealed as he hit the wall, reverting back to normal. The green shifter was about to be pummeled to death when Raven swooped in and put up a shield around themselves. As he tried breaking into the shield, Robin came in and stabbed the alien in the neck, before pulling him back to flip the both of them over and pushed him away, only to be punched by another. He grunted as he slammed into the metal wall.
"Robin!" The Aasimar yelled in worry as the same creature went to confront her. In retaliation she blasted at him, but he jumped over her ranged attacks and got a hold of her, smashing the girl into the floor a couple of times, the warrior groaning as she struggled to break free. The malevolent alien laughed until he got smacked by a maul in the face, wielded by Cyborg as it saved its friend. Now free, the two powerhouses each gave two powerful blows which certainly pushed the lizard like alien back, now missing some teeth, but he hissed as he punched into Cyborg's lower abdomen while swiping his tail into the Aasimar painfully, and then lunged to push both of them into the ground. As they and Robin were being overwhelmed by the superior numbers of the Gordanians, Raven said,
"Get away from my friends! Eldritch Blast!" From the outside, part of the ship exploded and it started to fall towards the sea, creating a huge splash. All the Gordanians were defeated as the teenagers all got up. Well, turns out that Lord Trogar got up and stormed towards Raven and Beast Boy, his claws lengthening before being blasted in the back by Cyborg's thunder wave.
"Target neutralized." It said.
Once it became morning, the group were on a small nearby island where the projector was stationed. Four of them were staring at the large city of Neverwinter.
"That's quite a view." Raven commented.
"It would indeed be an ideal place of residence if one were to build a home here, provided a boat is available."
"Along with some sun and beach." Beast Boy added.
"Eh, too bright in that case." Raven shrugged.
"Alright, you can turn around." The Aasimar told them. Turning around, they saw that the female alien had her actual clothes on. Her upper body was covered in a white feathered cloth that reached down to the bottom of her ribcage and covered her right shoulder, but not the left as it was covered in a metal piece, where her left arm was covered in either scale mail or leather underneath. Her lower abdomen was also covered in scale mail and under that was a belt and skirt made of leather. Regular pants covered her legs and leather boots on her feet. Both her hands wore leather gloves, each holding a separate item. A shield in her left, and a greatsword in her right, slung over her shoulder. Her hair was braided which went down to the middle of her back and wore a tiara on the top of her head. "How do I look?"
"You look pretty cool." Beast Boy complimented, but Robin stepped forth with wide open eyes.
"You're...so majestic. Never have I seen such elegant beauty look so captivating and powerful before." The Aasimar blushed from his praise. "And yet, I don't know your name."
"I used a spell to understand your words, since my native tongue is of the Celestials. My formal name is Fleck Siack, but if it is not to your liking, the Common translation would be Starfire."
Name: Starfire. Race: Aasimar. Class: Fighter/Sorceress. Archetype: Champion/Divine soul sorceress. Background: Noble. Abilities: Strength 15 Charisma 14 Constitution 14 Wisdom 10 Dexterity 10 Intelligence 8(Of Toril stuff). Skill Proficiencies: Perception, Persuasion, Acrobatics, Athletics. Flaw: Lack of knowledge about Toril and its inhabitants.
"Starfire. I like it."
"I thank you all for your bravery and help. And I would like to ask permission. To stay with you."
"You don't need our permission." Raven expressed with a gentle smile.
"But if you want our friendship, you got it." Robin assured.
"Based on what has occurred, it does feel good to have you specific organics as my new companions." Cyborg added.
"We also make a good team." Beast Boy agreed, then he realized something. "Hey, why don't we become a team of those adventurers?! I mean, we have the two powerhouses of Starfire and Cyborg, the swift and deadly Robin, the mystical Raven, and I, budding shapeshifter Beast Boy the Wolf! We can find treasure, fight the bad guys, live life to the fullest with high reward adventure and exciting danger!"
"That does sound better than doing the solo act." The rogue monk conceded.
"It is a sound plan." Cyborg affirmed. Raven shrugged with a tiny smile. Starfire on the other hand dropped to one knee, planting her fist and sword on the ground.
"As a protector Aasimar, serving of my kind and parental Deva, Valandras, I swear that I shall protect you against evil, and fight by your side to the best of my ability." Looking up, she saw a welcoming hand from Robin.
"Don't think we won't do the same for you. But we do appreciate your ambition." The two smiled as she took his hand.
A/N: So, am I doing good? Reviews are very much appreciated.
