A/N: Hey so, here's some things I want to get straight. I may have written things wrong, but a helpful commenter on AO3 helped me with some information and now there's some corrections I'd like to address. Raven should've been using Burning Hands then Hellish Rebuke, but it just sounded more cooler and demonic sounding. But since that will cause confusion among D&D fans about what spell I'm meaning, she'll be using Burning Hands now. The quarterstaff Beast Boy uses came from his trouser pocket, in case you were wondering, and the issue with Starfire using both a Greatsword and a shield, I was imagining she was swapping active use on the two objects whether she's attacking or defending, so that she can use both objects. Is this acceptable? Also, I think this is the chapter where the M rating finally kicks in. I'd just like to add that in this story so that there isn't any underage creepiness, Beast Boy is 16 as well and Raven's 17. Beast Boy could just be a late bloomer.
Fireworks exploded in the night sky, whether it be Dwarf made fire crackers or wizards making especially animated displays, the night was lit up while the people of Neverwinter celebrated with dancing and singing with the bards, eating their meat and drinking beer or mead, and some even fighting just for good sport. Starfire and Robin were not near this though as they were sitting on a roof with blankets underneath them. Starfire especially gazed up at the sight in wonder while Robin just enjoyed the display plain and simple.
"Beautiful." The Aasimar remarked. "Tell me again what they are called?"
"Well, aside from the lively ones made by wizards, they're fireworks."
"Where I am from, it meant we were on the attack by enemy forces. Such as the Gordanians for example. Are you certain Toril is not under attack?"
"I'm sure. It's Midsummer, the time of period where it's in between Flamerule 31st and Eleasis 1st(A/N: July 31st and August 1st for non-D&D players.) where we celebrate love and music while also believing that the gods, whomever might be worshiped, will bring good weather, for bad weather on this day is an omen."
"Oh." Looking back up to the sky, she ate some chocolate covered ants they bought for themselves. "At first, I worried I wouldn't fit in. It's so full of strange things but now I see that-" An extra loud explosion interrupted their conversation.
"Here comes the finale!" Robin cheered as all the most extravagant fireworks one could ever hope to see and imagine filled the sky with their colorful explosions. When it eventually died down, he and everyone in town cheered loudly. "Wow! That was amazing!" Starfire turned to Robin, her eyes sparkling.
"Toril is filled with amazing things too."
"Best planet I know." It was then that from out of nowhere, a robotic octopus snatched the Aasimar away, resulting in her screaming while it took Robin a second or two to process what happened.
"Starfire!"
"Agh! Let go of me you artificial cephalopod!" With her great strength and starbolt empowered hands, she ripped through the tentacles of the thing, and flew back to the city. In said city, Beast Boy presented Raven a live chicken.
"Me and Cy got this! I was thinking that this would make a great pet for you Rave." Handing her the animal which clucked in her arms, she replied sarcastically,
"A pet foul. I must be the most luckiest girl in the world. Fucking perfect." It was then that Robin dropped down in front of them.
"Guys, there's trouble."
"Where's Starfire?" Cyborg inquired.
"That's the trouble." Dropping the chicken so it can wander off, they ran to where they could be closest to the sea where they saw Starfire fly away from her pursuer. She tried blasting it but it was deflecting her starbolts. Zooming past her friends, Beast Boy reacted quickly by turning into an alligator, attempting to chomp down on the tentacles, but it was too fast. Raven tried to destroy it with Burning Hands but the fire was ineffective. Cyborg was able to grab on but even weighing over 1600 pounds it had to put much effort to keeping it still.
"Perhaps you've bore this thing a grudge Starfire? You might want to apologize."
"I've never met such a thing!" She objected. Wriggling itself free, it smacked Cyborg away, causing it to fall onto its back. Robin brought out a stick from his pocket and enchanted it to lengthen into a quarterstaff, and with a mighty whack, diverted its path as it fell into the sea.
"Um, did we win?" Beast Boy asked. He got his answer when it burst out of the water, heading towards them. The rogue monk leaped over the guard rail and landed onto the malevolent thing and went high into the air.
"Can't find an off switch, so I'll just make one." Using his cantrip spell of Shocking Grasp, his electrified fist smashed into the circuits of the robotic octopus, and ripped out some cables. Jumping off, he let the robot explode, though he did so safely thanks to one of his newest learned abilities, Slow Fall. "Whew. Well, whatever that thing was, it won't hurt you now Star."
"But why did it wish to hurt me at all?" The concerned Aasimar questioned. Back in their home, Starfire was back to her happy self.
"Come friends! I shall thank you for my rescue by reciting a Celestial poem of gratitude! All 6000 verses!" That stumped the others.
"Calculating: assuming that each verse on average is five words with some variance, that poem would somewhere in between 3.33 to 6.66 hours to complete." Cyborg said.
"Well, I see you haven't changed a bit." A feminine voice filled the room. They turned to see a similar looking Aasimar just like Starfire, but her skin was pale, her hair black and eyes purple. She even wore the same clothes that Starfire did when she was the Gordanians' prisoner. "When we were little, I was the one rescuing Starfire."
"AHHH! Sister!" Starfire squealed as she hugged her sister, whom returned it with a smile. Once they disengaged, she showed her a necklace.
"Brought you a present." The orange Aasimar gasped.
"A Centari moon crystal?! Where did you get it?!"
"From their moon of course." Attaching it to her sister, she smiled. "It matches your eyes."
"Oh, you must meet my new friends! Please, let me introduce to you my big sister Flepet Siack, or as you would call Blackfire."
Name: Blackfire. Race: - Aasimar. Class: Fighter/Sorceress. Archetype: Champion/Divine soul sorceress. Background: Noble Abilities: Strength 15 Dexterity 14 Constitution 13 Charisma 12 Intelligence 10 Wisdom 8. Skill Proficiencies: Perception, Persuasion, Acrobatics, Athletics. Flaw: Arrogant as your typical Noble.
"Well, you certainly have a diverse set of friends." Blackfire observed. "A Warforged. A truly powerful and intelligent race."
"Your flattery is appreciated. Pleasure to meet you little Aasimar." When they shook hands, his hand was crushed in her grip. "Ow. Uh... did you do this on purpose?"
"Oops, guess my grip is too strong. And oh my, a Tiefling. I never in a million years would've guessed you would befriend a race known for evil. But I guess in her case, she must be a charming gal to hang around. Pleased to meet you." Raven smiled with a pleased expression, glad to see that she wasn't holding her race against her. "Hmmm, I don't recognize your race, but you are a druid, yes?"
"Yeah, and I'm a Shifter. I can turn into animals and such." He replied with a grin.
"Cool. So what's up with you?"
"Nothing but the ceiling." That caused Blackfire to laugh.
"Haha, good one!"
"See, she thinks I'm funny." The Shifter tapped his elbow against Raven.
"Statistically, I suppose, someone has to." The green teen frowned and groaned while Cyborg chuckled.
"Ooooh, a rogue. Such a deadly class you've chosen. I like a man of mystery and danger." Blackfire flirted, causing the human to nervously chuckle, crumbling to his weakness of pretty faces.
"Oh uh, yeah. Hehe." He pulled at his collar. "I'm also a monk, so I'm really quick, agile and versatile. Name's Robin."
"That certainly does give you options. Nice to meet you Robin."
"So, beloved sister." Starfire cut herself in. "What brings you to Toril?"
"I was in the quadrant. Thought I'd like to see if this planet's inhabitants like to party." Walking to the couch, she jumped onto it. "Besides, I needed a rest. Nearly got sucked into a black hole on the way here."
"A black hole?" Beast Boy was lost. "What does she mean by that?"
"It's when gravity, the force that pulls you to the ground in case you didn't know that, is so strong it's of a near infinite mass and nothing can escape it once you're in it. Not even light." Cyborg explained.
"Whoa." The Shifter was impressed to hear that.
"Yeah, I'm cruising through the Draconus Nebula and-"
"Sister, that nebula is full of black holes! You know travel there is forbidden!" Starfire expressed with worry. Her sister only scoffed.
"The most fun things in life are. Now be a sweetie and get me some wine if you have any. The good stuff. Anyway-" As she went on, Starfire sadly went to the kitchen.
"I see you have not changed either." She grabbed a bottle of wine and went back to her friends.
When morning rose, Starfire was looking for her sister.
"Sister? Sister? Sister, I seek your companionship." Spotting Beast Boy and Cyborg playing Dragon Three Ante, she went to them.
"Excuse me, have either of you seen Blackfire?"
"She was here just a second ago." Beast Boy replied.
"Advantage captured." Cyborg made his move and the shifter growled. "Winner gets to take on Blackfire."
"Yeah, she rules at this game apparently."
"I see." Walking off, Starfire knocked on Raven's door, and she opened it a crack.
"Is my sister in there?"
"No. No one is allowed in my room. Not even your cool sister."
"Then, perhaps we could go and hang at your favorite depressing place?"
"Already did last night. Blackfire wanted to share. Your sister's poetry is surprisingly dark." She then closed the door. With a sigh, she went outside to the training area where around the corner of a boulder, she could hear her sister interacting with Robin.
"That's perfect Robin. Hold me just like that and-" The pale Aasimar threw Robin at some weights, crashing into them. "Learned that from a monk master on Tyrus III." Robin was woozy as he got up. Starfire was both relieved that they weren't intimate and worried about her friend's well being.
"Hello Robin and... my sister. Am I interrupting?"
"Not at all. Blackfire was just showing me some alien martial arts. How come you never showed or talked about this stuff?" Starfire gazed down while her sister answered,
"Probably because she doesn't know them. I've always been the better fighter. Stronger, faster, and more cunning. Come on, let me show you something else I know." Starfire was alone, and her head lowered out of sorrow. Later when it was night time, all the other teenagers were in the living room, Starfire came in with all sorts of food and books.
"Friends, I invite you to join me in the togetherness of a stay home entertainment night. I have grilled wild boar chops, roast chicken and potatoes, and various soups and stews of the onion, minted pea and berries.
"Oh forget that, we're going out!" They all turned and were shocked to see what Blackfire now wore. She only wore a black tube top and a black skirt while her legs had grey shin armor and black leather boots. "I heard of a party downtown in the city. Cool crowd and hot music." All the others agreed to it more, and Starfire then felt the neglected.
To their shock, the party Blackfire found was rather more a party brothel, filled with mostly humans and the occasional dwarves, elves and halflings. All of the teens except Cyborg were in shock as they witnessed people dancing and fucking each other, either separately or both at the same time.
"Step aside people! The queen of the galaxy has arrived!" Blackfire called out as she swished in between the dancers.
"Okay, I'm out of here." Cyborg said before leaving, having no sex drive due to being a Warforged, not a sex robot.
"Oh, sorry. Excuse me." Starfire tried to be polite as people bumped into her. "Ow! Apologize for stepping on my foot!" Raven shook her head in disbelief before stepping away from her.
"Haha, now don't tell me you big top guardians or whatever aren't afraid of a little dancing?" The provocatively dressed Aasimar questioned the remaining three.
"Uh, it's just I've never been to one of these things before. The multitude of musks in the air is almost overwhelming." Beast Boy answered, trying to lean on Raven but she backed away, letting him fall to the ground with a yelp. However, when two girls, one human and one elf, came over to Robin, any composure he had quickly dissolved as he went and danced with them. Starfire and Raven were the only ones not dancing.
"This party is pointless." The Tiefling said. A drab looking human came to her side.
"Everything is pointless. Want to fuck while not giving a fuck?" After looking him down and up, she replied,
"Since I don't detect any disease from you, oral only." They then went off to have a good pointless time, leaving the Aasimar alone again. That is until a black human and tan dwarf came to both her sides.
"Hey girl. You digging this place?"
"Was I supposed to bring a shovel?"
"Hahaha, this girl's a jest!" The dwarf laughed along with the human and everyone that heard her. Desperate to get out of there, she flew out of the building, and sat on the roof, sitting down to hug her knees to her chest.
"Perhaps I do not belong here after all."
"Of course you don't." Turning her head, she saw Robin had followed her. "You belong with your friends, having fun with the rest of us." She smiled until he said, "Now how about we have some foursome fun together, huh?" Sighing, she turned away.
"I'm not really in the mood to have the intercourse with anyone." Seeing his friend down to this extent made Robin lose his smile and regain some of his actual thinking as he went to her.
"Something wrong?"
"Everything is not wonderful. I am happy to see her but Blackfire has been impressing all of you. I am nothing like her."
"No, you're not. I think-"
"Hey Robin!" He turned to see Blackfire being followed by the previous human and elf girls. "Oh, you found Starfire? Now we can really have some fun with a fivesome!"
"Sister!" Starfire was shocked, along with everyone else, but she laughed it off.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Not like I'd fuck my own sister. Even I have standards. But you really should join with the party."
"Uh, as tempting as that is, can you give us a minu-"
"Nope, this is a party and we need as many people as we can get!" Grabbing hold of Robin, he yelped as he was drawn back into the brothel. Starfire sighed before she noticed that another robotic octopus reared its mechanical head onto the roof. Beast Boy, meanwhile, was making out with a female wood elf and was whispering sweet nothings into her ear when he heard an explosion above him, and perked his attention to above, hearing what sounded like Starfire struggling.
"Excuse me." Getting up from his spot, he was about to help when tendrils wrapped around him, and dragged the startled druid away, the alien robots causing everyone to scream and run. As it flew past Raven, causing the human she was hanging with to run in a panic, she groaned.
"I was having a good pointless time." Standing up, she thrust her arm at Beast Boy's enemy. "Eldritch Blast!" Firing a beam of black energy, it forced the robot to let go of the Wildhunt Shifter. Looking around, the ceiling collapsed above her, forcing the Tiefling warlock to jump out of the way. Starfire smashed her octopus enemy into the floor, and blasted it away with a concentrated starbolt stream. Beast Boy jumped out which resulted in two of the octopi colliding with each other. Getting ready to fight, he transformed into a boar and bashed into the two robots, dealing some slash damage with his tusks. But they proceeded to ignore Beast Boy as the three robots floated around the concerned Starfire. She tried to lose them while flying around while Beast Boy tried harder by ramming into them as a rhino.
"Where are you going, stay and talk to me." Blackfire tried to convince Robin, but for once he was listening to the head on his shoulders.
"I just want to make sure Starfire's okay." Beast Boy then smashed through a wall in the stairway they were talking in, and reverted back to normal with a groan as he held his head.
"Beast Boy, what happened?!"
"That octopus thing earlier? It brought its buddies." The Shifter replied.
"Come on Blackfire, we need to help!" Robin took out his shortsword and followed Beast Boy.
"Yes, of course." The Aasimar grinned as she followed suite. Starfire was then blasted through an outer wall and fell into a barrel latrine, which one of the robots managed to capture with its tentacles and was going to fly away with the screaming alien girl if it weren't for a spinning shortsword slicing off two of the tentacles. Blackfire flew over Robin and used her eyes to fire beams of purple energy which were aimed at the undersides, easily blowing them up. Blackfire smirked before Beast Boy whistled.
"Whoo man that was good! Nice shooting!"
"That was sort of cool." Raven admitted.
"How did you know where to hit them?" Robin asked.
"Lucky shot?"
"We we sure could use luck like yours." Beast Boy remarked. "How about you join us? Two Aasimars sound great!"
"Me, join you?" While Black sounded pleased, Star gasped in fear as she got out of the barrel, a banana peel on her head.
Despite what Beast Boy said, Starfire just couldn't get over that her friends seemed to like her more. So with her sword, shield and leather backpack layered that order on her back, she gazed back at the home she was about to leave.
"It's better this way. They like her better than they ever did me." But before she made it more than ten feet off the ground, Robin stepped from the shadows.
"Leaving without saying farewell?" He questioned. Starfire hugged herself as she descended down to the ground, looking very anxious.
"Robin... I-" She gasped and he turned to see what she saw, witnessing a hover craft with two red encrusted aliens. One lashed with a green whip so fast that the rogue monk was sent tumbling across the ground while the same whip ensnared Starfire. She tried to break free but it was too stretchy as she was whisked away onto the hover craft. As it began to ascend to the sky, Robin ran after it.
"Jump." He uttered before jumping thrice his normal distance, reaching for her foot. The aliens didn't see him latch on so they assumed that he didn't make it, so they flew off while Starfire was put into a hard light projection cage, ramming herself into it but never able to damage it.
"Preparing to leave Toril's atmosphere. We have the Aasimar girl." The pilot said.
"Once we return to Centari you will pay for what you have done." Starfire was confused but she couldn't voice it. Unknown to the aliens, Robin did make it thanks to catching Starfire's foot, whom flinged him to the bottom of the hover craft and stuck his shortsword in so he could cling on.
"Nobody takes my friend." He uttered as he spoke a spell. "Shadow technique: Darkness." Causing a field of darkness to encompass the hover craft, the riders were completely blind. Even Starfire with her darkvision couldn't see what was happening.
"Report!"
"I can't! I'm trying to brighten the area but it's only black! Gah!" A smack was heard as the pilot was knocked out by Robin delivering a flurry of blows against him, and then used Shocking Grasp against the controls to short them out. The ship began to fall.
"No!" The remaining alien yelled as he felt them decline. With something powering down and a snap of a whip being broken, Starfire carried Robin off the darkness induced ship, letting it crash into the ground below. Once the two teens made it to the ground, a portal opened to show Raven, Cyborg and Beast Boy.
"Star, you alright?!" The green Shifter asked. But before his question could be answered, the aliens got out of the wreckage, and the team got prepared to fight.
"Get ready." But what they truly weren't expecting them to say was,
"In the name of the Grand Centari Empire, you are all under arrest." He showed them a badge.
"What?" Beast Boy was lost. "You can't be the good guys? We're the good guys."
"And we're the Centari police."
"Your Aasimar friend is a liar and a thief. She's committed high crimes throughout the Centari system." The pilot pointed at her.
"But I have never been to that system!" She pleaded. His eyes landing on the necklace she wore, he took hold of the crystal, removing the jewelry from her neck.
"But we know who did." Starfire gasped. Robi turned to them and handed the necklace to the aliens. "You've got the wrong Aasimar. Has anyone see Blackfire?"
"There she is." Beast Boy pointed to a flying person in the sky.
"Don't worry Star, she won't get away with this." The leader said, but her eyes glowed bright as her teech clenched in fury.
"No she will not." Flying up, she soon got in the way of her sister, her arms crossed.
"Hello sister."
"Aw, you're mad." Blackfire said in a condescending way. "I know, I should've told you I was leaving, but I just hate goodbyes."
"You are a criminal and you were going to let me take your place!" Blackfire lost her smile.
"Oh. Yeah."
"Listen, give back what you have stolen and turn yourself in! Now!"
"And what will you do if I don't?" The elder sister questioned. She smirked as she raised a fist glowing with light blue energy, and punched her sister away. She yelled in pain as she spun backwards through the air a couple of times, touching the part of her face that was now discolored, wincing from the touch.
"Necrotic magic? Sister, you..."
"That's right sister. I've fallen." Her smile grew bigger and more psychotic while her eyes glowed bright purple. Two skeletal, ghostly wings sprouted from her back.
Name: Blackfire. Race: Fallen Aasimar. Unique Trait: Unlike Protector Aasimar, Fallen Aasimar are willingly corrupted where they no longer shine with radiance, but surge with frightening, necrotic energy.
"I always was the better fighter of the two of us. Now I'm even stronger."
"I won't let you win!" Shining with her radiant soul, she grew wings of luminous, ethereal light. Blackfire cackled as she fired purple starbolts at her sister, but she was able to shed her backpack and equip her shield onto her arms, protecting herself against the blasts of energy which would've otherwise overwhelmed her. Seeing that she was getting too close, Blackfire moved out of the way. Throwing her shield up, Starfire then took hold of her greatsword and spun it around with great speed, slashing away any bolts that were aimed at her. Seeing her shield fall down, she swung her sword with the back dull side to hit her shield in a way it soared and bashed into Blackfire's head, stunning the girl. This allowed Starfire to drop her sword and deliver a mighty good punch empowered with radiance, hurting her sister due to her corruption hating the power. The two then caught in each other in a hand lock with both their hands caught in each other as the two sisters pushed with all their might. But Blackfire was winning.
"You can't beat me sister. I'm stronger, faster, smarter! I'm better than you at everything!" As her necrotic magic began to overtake Starfire's radiance, she groaned from the exposure.
"Ugh! Maybe so, but I have always been the more observant!" While Blackfire tried to figure that out, she was ensnared by the same whips that captured Starfire.
"Flepet Siack, you are under arrest." As she struggled, Starfire said to her,
"Farewell sister. Although you did betray and attack me, it was... still good to see you."
"Next time it won't be as so. I will have my revenge little sister!" Starfire did not respond as she flew down to be back to her friends. Once Raven teleported all of them back home, the Aasimar took hold of Robin's hand while the others went to go to bed.
"Robin?"
"Yes?" He asked, but he was then embraced in a hug. Surprised at first, he soon returned it. "What's on your mind?"
"I am... sad. For my sister."
"And for yourself?"
"I am just glad the truth was discovered before I was replaced."
"What are you talking about?"
"Everyone was having such fun with her! And Beast Boy said-"
"Star, your sister was interesting, but she could never take your place. No one can take your place. Especially with me." They separated slightly so she could look at his face.
"You mean that?"
"Of course. I may be a sucker for beautiful women, but I actually know you by this point. If there was someone I would sleep in the same bed with and no one else, it's you." He smiled. With tears in her eyes and a smile gracing her face, she kissed him. It took a second before he kissed back. Grasping his arm, she pulled him towards the house.
And there Robin sat, in nothing but his shorts. Of all things, he wasn't expecting to be in Starfire's room. While not predominantly pink, it held a lot of pink colored objects like her bed, vanity and decoration. From the closet, Starfire stepped out, clad only in a white towel covering her body.
"Robin?" He didn't reply yet as he watched her discard the towel to show her almost naked body, wearing only an undergarment covering her lower private area. Her body was fit and tight as expected of a champion warrior, and yet did not look overly muscular and brawny. Her round full breasts bounced with each hip swaying step she took while her cheeks blushed. "When you gaze at me, do you think of anyone else?"
"No." She smiled at his answer. "You're the only one I can think of."
"Do you think of me as only the object for your satisfaction?"
"No. I wasn't raised to think like that for people I care about, or any women typically."
"How much do you care for me?" As she asked this Starfire bent over and used her arms to squish her breasts together, but Robin was able to move his eyes from them to her eyes.
"More than anyone I know." She smiled.
"Good. I am feeling tired. Would you please sleep with me? I am not ready for the intercourse, but I require the comforting companionship."
"Of course." The human nodded. With that, Starfire laid herself down onto her bed, inviting him to be close to her. Getting under the blanket and snuggling close, he could feel her warm, soft skin and her breasts squish against his chest. The two hugged as sleep began to overcome them, and the two slept peacefully.
A/N: Okay, before anyone complains, these characters are intentionally not 100% the ones from the show personality wise. Robin here is slightly a womanizer, but not a chronic case of it. Starfire is more open with herself towards Robin. Cyborg in this is less bombastic. And Tieflings, while likely not all of them, are known for being sexually active. So while Raven in this might be influenced by her heritage, by no means is she loose since she didn't do it for gratification or money or anything like that. It was meaningless oral to pass the time and she'll likely forget it in the near future after some mouthwash. All you BBRAE fans will get your turn soon. So don't flame me just because I'm trying to make these characters feel more adult D&D. I gave it an M rating from the start for a reason. Criticism is encouraged, but only constructively so that I don't feel bad. So, what did you think? Also take a look at the A/N at the top so that you can review about that stuff too. Favorite and follow if you like.
