One day, Starfire was making one of her signature Tamaranean dishes, and so had her hair in a braid where it slightly trailed across the ground behind her feet. She was using a skillet when Cyborg came in.

"Hey Star, what ya cooking?" Starfire turned her head to his greeting, unaware part of her braid fell into the skillet.

"Hello friend Cyborg! I am making one of my Tamaranean dishes! I have decided to make-"

"Star, your braid's burning!" The metallic titan cut her off. Starfire looked to see it was smoking where it touched and she yelled as she yanked it back.

"Oh, it got slightly burnt." The alien girl looked sadly down her braid which had a black mark and felt oily where it was exposed.

"Why don't you wear a hairnet?"

"None of them can fit my volume."

"Well, maybe stove based stuff isn't all that safe. If you want to make something for us, I know exactly what you can do." He suggested.

"What is that?" She asked hopefully.

"Cupcakes, baby!" Cyborg shouted in excitement.

"Oh, I am familiar with the delicious cups filled with cakes!" Starfire's eyes sparkled with a bright smile, but then she realized, "But I do not know how to make the cupcakes."

"Don't worry, I'll teach you."

"Oh thank you friend Cyborg!" The Tamaranean princess exclaimed as she hugged him. However, things weren't as simple as they thought it would be. As Starfire mixed the butter and sugar in a bowl using an electric whisk, humming with her eyes closed, she reached over to get another ingredient when her braid got caught in the device and got smacked by the electronic, yelling in pain as she turned it off. To Cyborg's surprise none of the hair was ripped off her scalp, which she explains that the roots are as strong as the Tamaranean, so while pulling will hurt, nothing short of a fellow Tamaranean could pull them out. Although now her braid was filled with butter and sugar. After making another batch and having made a more proper batter, Cyborg asked Star to get the tin, and she proceeded to do so but would up falling over due to him accidentally standing on the end of her braid. Same thing happened when she put the cupcakes in the oven, and fell down due to the oven closing on her braid. Luckily nothing happened when it came to making the frosting. In the end, the two have made 1 dozen vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting and sprinkles.

"Yes, we have done it!" Starfire celebrated as she held up the tin filled with the treats.

"Come on, let's hand these out to the others."

"Agreed." Following Cyborg so that he didn't step on her braid this time, they were just about to call the other three when Beast Boy and Robin burst in with a frenzy!

"Hmmhmm! Those cupcakes sure smell good!" Beast Boy remarked.

"These smell so great! Who made these?!" Robin asked.

"Well, while I helped, Starfire's the one who wanted to make you all some."

"Aww, thanks Star." The green changeling smiled. She returned it.

"Looks like you went through a lot though." Robin noticed how...messy and frayed her braid was.

"Yes, but it is the okay. Seeing your smiles makes it worthwhile." It was then that Raven came in, her line of sight landing on the cupcakes. Of course, now that all five of them were in the room, that would mean there wasn't enough. Four titan would get three cupcakes. But five? Each of them eyed each other up carefully. With a swift opening of her cloak, Raven sent five black spikes which caught three of the titans before they could react. Robin by his cape, Beast Boy by the clothes of his shoulders, and Starfire in the middle of her braid, above her shoulders as they were slammed back into the walls. Since Starfire was the one holding the cupcakes, they briefly fell from lack of her support when Cyborg caught it and tried to run. The half-demon unscrewed the bolts in his legs, causing him to fall with a grunt while she managed to get all the cupcakes with her telekinesis, her smile barely noticeable. Beast Boy turned into a bird first before turning into a snake to slither across the floor while Robin used one of his birdarangs to cut himself free while Starfire was stuck, unable to pull her spike out.

"Hey!" The princess called out, unable to catch up to her friends as they tagged all over each other, fighting to eat each cupcake. Not wanting to damage her hair more than necesarry by blasting the wall behind her, Starfire sighed as she tried to fly forward as hard as she could, doing some prolonged grunting as she used brute force. The force of her pulling was causing her braid to straighten out from its braided pattern as the spike kept it in place to the wall, allowing the alien girl to reach forward foot by foot until the hairband couldn't take the pressure anymore and broke, her hair unraveling quickly as she shot like a bullet into her friends, the four grunting or yelling in pain from her sudden impact into them. The teenagers groaned as they were in a heap when Silkie came in and proceeded to eat all the cupcakes in rapid succesion.

"Silkie, no!" Beast Boy complained as he got out of the pile of his friends. "Those weren't for you!"

"Aw come on! We didn't even get any!" Cyborg bemoaned as well.

"Why did you have to constrain us like that Raven?!" Robin angrily questioned the sorceress whom looked defensive.

"I didn't want to have the least." As her friends argued Starfire got to her knees and looked at her friends, before turning her attention to her hair which was rather damaged. Nothing unfixable but was regardless in poor condition. The titans started to stop yelling at each other when they heard crying and turned to see their most compassionate comrade crying.

"I just wanted to make the cupcakes with my friends. But you are all fighting now and my hair is ruined...I-I just wanted to make everyone happy." Starfire flew to her room as she cried, the titans then feeling remorseful that they fought over what was supposed to be a gift to them. It was much later after she took a shower and brushed her hair that Starfire heard a knock on her door. Going over to it, the door opened to reveal her friends holding a tray of 15 cupcakes, this time three for all of them. Cyborg was the one holding them.

"Friends?" Starfire asked.

"Hey Star." Cy started. "We're sorry for how we behaved."

"It was unbecoming of us." Robin agreed.

"We were immature as Beast Boy typically is." Raven said.

"Yeah, I-hey!" The green changeling turned towards her in annoyance. Grunting, he ignored the jab to continue. "We made these so that we could do this properly. So, want to eat with us?" Staring at her friends, a single tear came from her right eye before she smiled as wiped the tear away.

"I would very much enjoy that."

A/N: Well the ending was more heartwarming than I was expecting. So, I was thinking that since this chapter was about cooking and food, the next could be about exercises. Stuff like running on a nature trail, lifting weights, jump rope, yoga and etc. How would Starfire's hair be caught on these examples or more if you can think of any? Suggestions are appreciated.
