A/N: So, I may take some liberties on something here because I don't know how suicide victims enter the hospital like on a stretcher or something else, if friends or family are allowed near them on said stretcher as the response workers roll them into the hospital and all that stuff, and I don't really know where to look for to make this entirely accurate, so let's just go with a typical tv/movie approach.
Hospital doors were slammed open as Amy has been hauled to Station Square General, where Cream, Cheese, Vanilla which was Cream's mother and Tails, whom happened to notice Cheese yelling for help while flying back to Cream's home and mom, followed suite with the responders pushing her stretcher. Amy's wrists were heavily bandaged.
"Don't worry sweetheart, everything will be alright. You'll make it." Vanilla tried to assure Amy even though she was barely conscious.
"Please be okay Miss Amy! Please be okay!" Cream begged, the fur under her eyes damp from so many tears.
"Chao!" Cheese agreed worriedly.
"Come on Amy, we've been through so much! Don't let this be what kills you!" Tails pleaded as well, since it was barely any easier for the 8 year old fox than it was for the 6 year old Cream.
"Excuse us, but we need to take her to the ICU. Wait here." A female worker said as they hauled Amy away from her friends. Cream clung herself her mother's long pink skirt.
"Mommy, why did Miss Amy do this to herself?! The young girl cried, wiping her tears into the fabric.
"I-I don't know sweetie." She tried reassuring her daughter, but was mostly at a loss as well. Despite suicide being common in the world, she never thought she'd experience the horricfic aftermath of such an action. And her precious little Cream was the first to find her like that. An innocent child like her should never see a sight like that. Vanilla lifted her little girl up, hugging her close. "But, things will be alright. I have the hope she'll make it through.
"Chao." Cheese commented, patting her head. With all the excitement and adrenaline slowing down, the young rabbit began to doze off, though she still sobbed from what just happened.
"Vanilla, I feel so lost. What are we supposed to do?" Tails asked the adult rabbit.
"Well, assuming Amy lives through this, she needs friends. I'll stay here to keep Cream stable and know Amy's condition first. Go find everyone she has good relations with." She instructed the fox. Nodding, Tails exited the hospital to fly home. To get the Tornado.
On Angel Island, Knuckles was sleeping on the job, protecting the Master Emerald for presumably the rest of his life, when the sound of an airplane woke him up. Getting up, he saw the Tornado and grinned. Once the plane landed on the island, and Tails came running towards him, he lost said grin given how distressed Tails was.
"Tails, what's wrong?" The red echidna asked the kid fox.
"It's Amy. She-she tried to take her own life!" He cried out.
"What?!" The teen gasped, never imaging a girl like her doing something like that. "Is she dead?!"
"No, she's alive, but her condition is critical! Please come with me!" Under normal circumstances, Knuckles would not participate given he's the guardian of the island and Master Emerald, but now in the heat of the moment, all that left his mind that one of his friends was on the cusp of dying, so they got on the Tornado and flew off.
Shadow was riding his Dark Rider motorcycle through Sunset Heights, going somewhere with no destination in mind at high speeds when he noticed the Tornado flying over head. He gave a slight groan of annoyance that something came up, so he slowed to a stop so that Tails could meet him on the ground.
"What do you want?" The black hedgehog asked, getting straight to the point.
"Amy tried to kill herself." He replied. This news caused him to flinch and widen his eyes. While he would never admit it, he had a certain respect for the pink hedgehog since she ultimately was the one that pushed him to the side of good. Hearing that Amy tried to kill herself made even a stoic solider like Shadow unnerved.
"Where is she?"
"Station Square General. I'm bringing in friends for support, though I can't seem to find Sonic."
"Leave that to me. Go back to your search. I'll find Sonic." The black hedgehog said with determination.
"Thank you." Tails replied gratefully before going back onto the Tornado and taking off. Pressing a button on his Dark Rider, he called his partner Rouge the Bat.
"Rouge, come in."
"How's it going?" She greeted on the other line with a flirtatious tone.
"Cut the usual. Amy tried killing herself." That shut her up for a few seconds before replying,
"Of some of the people I knew, she's one of the last people I'd think would do something like that."
"She's alive, though I bet barely. Take over any missions I might have, and send Omega to Station Square General. I know they share a bond unlike you two."
"Well no need to say it like that. We may have a rivalry but I wouldn't put that over someone's well being in this situation. If nothing happens I'll be there with Omega."
"Fine. I'm after Sonic, so I'll be there soon." Ending the transmission, he opened a compartment and took out a green chaos emerald. "Chaos Control!" With a blip, Shadow and his motorcycle disappeared.
Sonic the Hedgehog was running across the Windmill Isle, enjoying the breeze that was flowing across his body while he pushed through it. On one of the rooftops, he noticed a visual blip of energy, and recognized it was Shadow. Zipping on over, he greeted with a smile,
"Hey, it's been a while. What's up Shadow?"
"Amy nearly killed herself." He answered bluntly. The blue hedgehog lost his smile.
"What?"
"She's in Station Square General. I don't know what she did, but this obviously isn't good. I reached out to you when I heard from Tails. Thankfully she's alive."
"Take me to her." Sonic said, worried now. Nodding he raised the chaos emerald in his hand, and they teleported to Station Square. Sonic rushed into the hospital. "What happened to Amy?!"
"Sonic!" Tails ran and hugged his surrogate big brother, needing the comfort. "It's horrible! Her-her wrists were slit and-and she nearly bled out! The doctors are doing what they can! Sonic, I'm scared!" He hugged Sonic tighter, whom felt really conflicted. He ruffled Tails's hair.
"Uh, don-don't worry Tails. I'm sure everything will be alright. I mean, it has to right?" He wasn't sure himself, because in the deep back of his mind, he asked himself, ("Did I do this?")
