A/N: Okay, so in the first chapter I may have said it was dark, and someone told me it was just typical. To clarify, it was just dark to me, by my standards. Suicide is heavy, and I prefer reading fics about romance and humor, so this is like the most I've left my comfort zone in terms of writing something.

After some amount of time of waiting with terrible anxiety and impatience, a doctor finally came out.

"Alright, so I have some good news. She's stabilized, but the problem is, Miss Rose is a hedgehog, and we don't typically cover animals since that's for veterinarians. It's a good thing you took her here, but in order to do a blood transfusion, we need a hedgehog to help her. Does she have any nearby family?"

"Not that we know of." Vanilla answered.

"In the case of unavailable family, then we'll need one of you two to do it." The doctor pointed to Sonic, then Shadow.

"Make Sonic do it. I doubt my blood will help." The edgy hedgehog said.

"Okay, I can do it. It's the least I can do." He replied in a tone that confused everyone. As he was lead to Amy's room, the blue blur's heart dropped to his stomach upon seeing the pink female in her current state: pale, sweating, weak, unconscious. To think his words did this to a 12 year old. Sonic felt horrible about himself. As a nurse started prepping up the blood transmission devices, Amy's eyes opened from sensing disturbances in the atmosphere, and looked to see something that she used to love, but now scared her. An extremely, but still recognizable Sonic. The heart rate monitor picked up in frequency.

"No. No." She protested, scooting away from him.

"Amy?" He asked? Him saying her name caused the heart monitor to go even faster as she tried to escape, as feeble as the attempt was.

"Go-go away!" The nurse tried to help but was too late as the hedgehog pulled herself out of her bed, crashing to the ground while her bandages turned wet with new red.

"Amy, stop!" He tried to tell her but she cowered into the nurse's arms.

"Go away!"

"Sir, we need to placate her and rewrap her wounds! Please leave the room!" The revelation horrified the hero. Not only was she scared of him now, but that fear was preventing her from getting better. With a defeated look, he exited the room while more nurses went in. The others became confused when he came back.

"Sonic, why are you back? Wasn't there going to be a blood transfusion?" Tails questioned the hedgehog. He looked away shamefully.

"She's-she's scared of me."

"Scared? Please, she treats you like a sun god." Rouge scoffed with a chuckle as she sat on Omega's shoulder. "What could possibly make her afraid of you?"

"Because...because I did this to her." He admitted. The smug smile that the bat had disappeared.

"Sonic, what do you mean you did this?" Vanilla asked, rocking her sleeping daughter in her arms.

"A week ago, she tried chasing me again. But something about this one was different with me. I was sick and tired of her chasing me, so I snapped and finally told her off. I yelled at her, screamed that how she acted around me was not appropriate and if she was going to do nothing but chase me and threaten me with violence if I said no, then she should just go away, and stay away. Everyone had a different reaction to this. Shadow, at least on the surface, appeared to be not disturbed about this. Tails and Vanilla looked shocked that the cool minded and friendly spirited hero that was Sonic could yell at Amy to the point she tried to kill herself. Rouge looked uncertain how to react while Knuckles appeared to be barely holding back his seething fury. Thankfully, a nurse came back.

"Amy has been put back to sleep. Things should go no problem now. Please come with me." With a nod, he turned to his friends.

"I'll...I'll see you guys in a short bit." He left the group of friends in the waiting room, whom some of them looked at each other in contemplation.

"Huh, I didn't know he had it in him. Snapping at his biggest fan." Rouge tried to lighten the mood, but a smile did not grace her face.

"I always knew Sonic was annoyed by her advances, but how could-?" Tails couldn't finish that question.

Once Sonic finally came back, a bandage on his arm, he greeted them.

"Hey guy-ah! Knuckles?!" He yelped when the red echidna grabbed hold of one of the quills on the back of his head and dragged him outside, where the others followed out of concerned curiosity, except for Vanilla and Cream. Once they were outside, Knuckles threw Sonic onto the ground where he tried to get up.

"Knuckles, what the he-" He was resoundingly punched in the face by the guardian as he was sent flying back into a light post, denting the metal.

"Sonic!" Tails cried out in worry. The blue blur tried getting up again, but his throat was grabbed by the furious, hostile boxer and was pushed into the post.

"You-you prick! How could you do this to someone like Amy?! She was your friend! A comrade, and you threw it back into her face! She may not have acted right, but you shouldn't have been so harsh that she wanted to kill herself! In fact, who's to say you told her to kill herself?!"

"I'd never do that you jerk!" He objected, now getting angrily defensive. "I told her to go away but not to kill herself! What kind of monster do you take me for?!"

"A blue qilled dick, that's what!" He punched Sonic down again into the ground, cracking the concrete sidewalk. He turned his back to the 'hero'. "I'm going back to my island. Don't bother coming back." Knuckles went off to the Tornado, and sat in the back seat. Shadow and Rouge went up to him next.

"So, after all this time of being a hero, this is what you're reduced to after hitting the breaking point?" He spat on his fellow hedgehog. "Disgusting." He then left the downed hero, with Rouge turning away in agreement with her partner.

"No need to sit in there. I'll take you to the island." Shadow told Knuckles. He only nodded as the two teleported away thanks to Chaos Control. Tails went and helped Sonic up, placing an arm around his shoulders.

"Ta-Tails? Why are you helping me?"

"Well...even though I can't believe this happened because of you, I know why you snapped. I understand, and I can strongly guess how you're feeling about this." Lowering his head, he nodded a couple of times.

"Thank you." They tried to go back, but the sound of ammunition being locked and loaded got their attention, with Omega E-123 blocking the entry with his machine guns, with Rouge standing along side him.

"Stay out, meatbag." The robot warned.

"Why?" Tails asked.

"Sonic has indirectly brought harm to Amy Rose. Further interaction risks further harm. Conclusion: Sonic shall not have any more interaction with Amy Rose. Non-compliance will lead to termination."

"Sorry, hero..." Rouge mocked the word. "...but nothing I can do. Why don't you go run off and destroy some robots. That's apparently the only thing you're good for now." She then went inside the hospital.

"Sorry Sonic." Tails apologized, but the blue hedgehog shook his head.

"Nah, you're not the one to blame. This is my doing. I'd like to apologize, but apparently I'm not welcome. I'll go."

"But Sonic-"

"I made up my mind. I already gave my blood for her, so I'm no longer needed here. See ya." Breaking off from Tails, he ran off. Both were unaware that the other was crying.

A/N: Admittedly, I confused Omega for Gamma as for why there was this case of protectiveness for Amy, so this may or may not be OOC. But I'd like to think that since Sonic is no longer seen as an ally for the most part, Omega wouldn't want him around either, so this just seemed convenient for me. What do you think?
